Love Generation Sexy

I’ve been low-key collecting this “Love Generation” series because even the least favorite of those blind buys have been turning out to be at least a “like” so far, but I was wary about this one because of all the lukewarm and dismissive reviews. Until I saw that “reminds me of” section. Then I saw the light! Pretty Nina! There WAS a pink Nina Ricci back in the 2008, it wasn’t a dream! I had a 80 or 100 ml bottle of Pretty Nina as a gift and I loved every tiny drop. It was my signature perfume for my senior college year and a then a bit beyond. Only one little “but.” I didn’t keep the box, so I thought it was just “Nina.” Then I went to Sephora to buy a replacement bottle and... that Nina smelled different. And looked a bit odd – too red, not pinkish. I thought that I must have had some sort of a replica before – a fake Nina. I bought the “real” Nina and grew to like it, but I still missed the “fake pink Nina” and used to laugh a lot at how I preferred fake to the original. ALL THOSE YEARS later I find out that both were much very real and my “fake” was a limited edition Pretty Nina. Yet I still wasn’t sure, so I ordered “LG Sexy” that is supposed to be a replica of “Pretty Nina” – and it totally IS! It’s that very smell I fell in love with fifteen years ago, I am so happy it isn’t completely lost I can forgive “Sexy” its modest performance and short longevity. It’s my only issue with it. The scent is lovely. It’s that sweet, fruity, gentle, girlish fragrance – or at least the approximation of it – that used to be so “me.” I must say, even the original Pretty Nina used to be lost on me after a couple of hours too – I couldn’t smell it, but friends kept complimenting me, saying that I smell nice and this fragrance suits me so well. Sweet-sweet apple in pink vanilla glazing – mmmm. By the way, the notes on my Love Generation Sexy box look different than those given here. It says: Top notes: Mandarin, Lemon sorbet Middle notes: Toffee apple, Jasmine, Lipstick accord, Nectarine, Patchouli Base notes: Sandalwood, Raspberry, Cream vanilla, Musk I love it. I definitely will be looking for a vintage Pretty Nina bottle, but Sexy is pure joy for me. It’s caramel, apple, citrus, and vanilla in just the right proportions to make it sweet and refreshing and not too much of anything. I feel bad for it for not getting the love it deserves from other perfume enthusiasts, but I'm happy it still here and isn't discontinued like the original it was inspired by.

When i put it on it reminds me of escada fragrances: fruity, sweet and fresh at the same time, girly, summery without beeing synthetic. Perfectly blended juicy fruits with a hint of vanilla. Sunny optimism in the bottle!

As a sweet scent lover i really like this one. It ́s a little bit cheap smell but very addictive if you like the sweet ones. For such low price i recommend to try it. Good for during daytime.

sweet but also somehow bitter and mysterious, the drydown has got an intriguing nutmeg flavour. skin scent. it reminds me a lot of harajuku girls wicked baby, which i love.

I love it !!! It is a very very sexy perfume and reminds me a lot to "Can Can- Paris Hilton" :)

this one smells like candied apples sprinkled with vanilla. in the beginning, i got very light citrus in the beginning. then the sweet candied apple dominates. it was sweet, but not annoyingly sweet. a pleasant surprise from Jeanne Arthes! well, as i expected, (i know, i am very biased after looking at the price tag...below 10USD per bottle)...it doesnt stay very long. a pleasant fragrance nonetheles... nice for midday refreshing scent. ps: the bottle is not as pretty as the one in the picture thou...

If it helps anyone who hated it after first spray, I blind bought it about a year ago and forgot about it because it smelled synthetic and horrible at that point. After a year, however, the bottle 'seasoned' and now it is very pleasant. Still generic, linear, weak and forgettable but generally pleasant when sniffing. It's one of these perfumes you could use as bed scents - likeable and lasting just until you fall asleep.

Nice, girly and sweet. The longevity is bad, like two hours but what can you expect. If I had to say an age group I believe that young girls would be most excited for this, but if anyone wants to feel cute, go for it! Lots of vanilla and raspberry. It's delicious!

Your typical fun, girly and vanill-ish scent. Nothing groundbreaking here nor long lasting. Still good for it’s price and a safe blind buy.

Remind me of Nina by Ricci with the sweet notes and apple note. Not very original but pleasant, but the staying power is really bad.

I got it as a pressie ages ago, like 10 years back or more.. At that time I thought it was weak but okay, can't remember if I used it or gave it away.. Recently I came accross a cheap bottle and snatched it, for the memories' sake.. It's basically a mostly linear vanilla-fruit scent, pleasantly sweet but not nauseating one with some citrus and minimal musk in the drydown. Lasting power 2-3 hours max. Not the worst cheapie, not the best cheapie. Not something that would be worth considering, unless you are getting it as a pressie for your teenage or twentysomething niece..There's nothing harsh or chemical about it at least, nowadays it's defo positive..

My grandfather got me this perfume with matching body lotion as a gift, which I found very sweet of him. To be honest with you, though, my fondness of him is the only reason I wear this perfume from time to time. Though I like the notes of apple, vanilla and raspberry, they're kind of sickening together, at least on my skin. When you first spray it on, you smell a lot of alcohol and an overwhelmingly sweet fume. The first hour or so, it stays this awful way. Fortunately, it does get better. As the scent fades, you get this cozy, red apple, close to the skin smell. I feel I would like the perfume if it weren't for its horrible opening notes. The way it smells after an hour is great, but my then it's lost all its silage. I think I'm more a fan of the body lotion than I am of the perfume. It's a little less strong and makes your skin smell, well, sexy - if sweetness turns you on, that is.

I bought this last summer for my vacation, I wanted something light and fresh. This doesn't lasted not even a minute on my skin, like I was spraying water on me. The scent is pretty generic, I have a feeling that I smelled thousands of similar fragrances. I bought it for like 10 euros from a local perfume shop and all I can say is that I had cheaper perfumes from Avon that lasted longer and smelled better. This was a waste of money!

I'm sorry but I think this stinks :( it was a blind buy. I think it smells very masculine, there's nothing girly about it in my opinion. I love sweet perfumes and I thought this was going to be sweet but it's not. Tried to wash it off. Love many of Jeanne Arthe's other perfumes but this one was horrible :(

Meh. Not bad for $10. Longevity & sillage is poor. The smell: Initially, I got Lemon Sweet Tarts.Then,'Fruit drops' lemon hard candy and a hint of Lemon Pledge cleaner. The woody notes are most dominant in the base, add faint lemon candy note. I like it. Yes, I like Lemon Pledge and no, I wasn't hungry when I wrote this. Safe buy for a pre-teen ('tween'). I'd wear it, also.

i got this from my best friend when my bridal shower, the shape of bottle kinda sassy n flirty, with pink feather its kinda cute and kinky at the same times. The odor so sweet and overwhelmed, remind me chemical syrup that really sweet and make your toothache. This perfume aroma make me feel like seeing little girl acts flirtatious, too premature and uncomfortable to see.

That's a refreshing citrusy sweet perfume, not empowering or yucky sweet. Ideal daytime refreshment, it lasts for about 3 hours. Good for spritzing your feet, it is affordable. I bought this 3 days ago and already used up some 25 ml out of 60.

good stuff with a very cheap price ! for small girls reminds me of can can by paris hilton .. The lasting power & sillage are average too .. But for me, I believe it smells cheap..

The opening is very promising, airy , light and fresh , but unfortunately it quickly becomes a very common-boring-trendy-sweet scent that i have been smelling 100 times .

This is a sweet scent. It’s not bad it’s just very linear and smells like maybe 2 of the notes listed.

Very classy perfume. I love it
