Perpetual Silver Pearl

Artificial blackberry, fermented. The unprettiest 'patchouli' to throw it even more off balance. Oh dear. A few additional euros I added to my cart because Jeanne Arthes makes some great scents, and the one review I found said it smells fresh and fruity. And how I wish it did to me, but this.. is ridiculously bad. Sour, artificial. If teenage viciousness had a scent, this would be it. ^^ Even though it is neither very strong nor long lasting, I can't bring myself to pass this around to anyone. Something I'd say about hardly any fragrance. Glad if it's nice to someone. Still posting this little roast because sometimes I wish unfavourable reviews would have saved me some failed purchases.

So, I ordered this a few months ago, and after the initial spray I ignored it, intending to give it another chance in warmer weather (its winter at the time of writing). It has the same sort of " has it gone off?" Smell that I got when smelling miu miu's perfume in the nice round blue bottle with a yellow circle on top. Could never make that work for me either, but if you liked that, perhaps I'm noseblind to something in both of them. Would not recommend as a blind buy. Love pretty much all of these notes, so I'm guessing it's an orange blossom patchouli crossover that messed it up for me, since I don't adore those.

I recently tested Dolce & Gabbana "L'Imperatrice Limited Edition" in the store. I couldn't help but feel that I had already smelled this fragrance. When I got home, I looked through my perfume and the D&G blotter smelled almost identical to Jeanne Arthes' Perpetual Silver Pearl!
