Sexy Boy Sport

Just some notes about Jeanne Arthes and these fragrances: It's curious why Fragrantica doesn't at least have the original Sexy Boy here. These JA frags have perhaps too many flankers, and these are ubiquitous in many regions of the world. Sexy Boy (and around five flankers) are always sold here (Japan) in stores among other fragrances. I'm sure more people are interested in reviews of these cheapies. The original Sexy Boy is a JPG Le Male clone, just more synthetic and cheap smelling (it's priced right at $9 for 100ml). I'm curious about this "Sport" version, which I haven't yet tried but want to. It may already be discontinued since I'm not seeing it in stores among the other flankers. The flankers that I think are nice are called "VIP" (a modern sweet aromatic like Jimmy Choo Man), and "The Feel" (surprisingly good clone of Acqua Di Gio). Those are decent values for the money. Also, Sexy Coconut is popular for those who want to smell like Hawaiian Tropic suntan oil. UPDATE: I tried the Sport flanker, and it's decent. Has a nice scent, something similar to the VIP, or a generic mass-appealing modern citrus/woody combo. I can't tell you exactly what it reminds me of. Not bad. Sexy Boy frags are not to be confused with the "Rocky Man" and flankers in the (oh so original) male torso-shaped bottle and soft-porn retail box. I've tried those and cannot find anything positive to report here. Let's see if Fragrantica adds more to the database. Jeanne Arthes frags are cheap and many are clones, but that doesn't mean they're all bad. Some (such as Sultane Noir Velours or White Jasmine for women, Sexy Boy Club Edition) are somewhat in demand and becoming rare as they've been discontinued.

I'm back to review Sexy Boy Sport, now that I have tested it since my comment below. This is nothing like original Sexy Boy, which is a Le Male clone. Sport is more like a modern aromatic with light woody and citrus notes. I cannot guess what it's a clone of, but it's something like a mix of Jimmy Choo Man meets Acqua De Gio Profumo. Just taking a stab there, I could be totally off but it's in the ballpark. There is no longevity or performance, I'd be surprised if anyone gets over an hour or two of projection off skin. It's nice, but I'll sell this right back on the 2nd hand flea market app I originally picked it up on. Btw, I've tried the new Sexy Boy "Irreversible". I'm quite sure it's a clone of YSL Y EDP, and it's actually not bad, for $10. If you can find it.

Jeanne Arthes Sexy Boy line is quite well known. Its first in line fragrance in a dark blue bottle is called Sexy Boy. I cannot comment on Sport edition, as the original is much more interesting and deserves a spotlight. Around 15 years ago both Le Male and Davidoff Cool water fragrances were super popular in the market. Much like PR One Million is today. Jeanne Arthes jumped into the hype wagon and released a sweet lavander Sexy Boy scent. Slightly aromatic, slightly aquatic with a soapy drydown. I remember randomly testing it and could not find it for years. It is still hard to find. Sexy Boy line of fragrances is a good choise for those looking for easy to wear fragrance.
