Iris & Néroli

THE MISS MARPLE COUNTRY SCENT This is really a great scent, not only because of the low price, but even more so! It is hard not to love a quality fragrance that is embelished by a very low price. The perfume is fresh and fruity adding a light citrusy and herbaceous flavour that fades into the background. Its texture is perhaps more creamy than powdery. I quite like the orange blossom warmth with neroli in the background. This blending stops the fragrance from being too sweet. I see similarities with Prada's Infusion de Fleur d'Oranger and Infusion d'Iris. The iris isn't really noticeable at first. Later, it ensures this composition to be softer than expected. It's a kind of two-in-one promotion for Prada lovers. The fruity notes mingle as the scent evolves, and it becomes less herbal/citrusy, just like the orange blossom notes in Prada's fragrances. The Pradas are also a very nice scents, but I judge it to face hard competition due to its high price. The Prada's are more than ten times more expensive than Iris & Neroli. On top of that, I think I even prefer Iris & Néroli. The Jeanne En Provence fragrance has a wonderful old-fashioned touch, and feels very natural. It reminds me the ambience of a country village where time has stood still, and the atmosphere is completely different to that in busy cities, which never sleep. Agatha Christie often described the cosiness that this fragrance inspires. Of course I can only imagine it on Miss Marple's toilet drawer. Hercule Poirot wouldn't have the courage to use such a feminine leaning fragrance nor the atitude to enjoy such a bucolic scent. His moustache would curl with this peaceful aroma. MY OPINION: This is a must have fragrance for both genders. With a famous brand name on its label it would become a reference fragrance for sure. Its price ranges from 8 to 16 Euros on common web stores. So my recommendation is a clear buy sign. MUSIC: "Raindrops keep falling on my head" by J.B.Thomas

I'm very impressed with this! It was a blind buy because rarely I don't like something powdery, well, I feel like I've hit the cheap powdery jackpot with this. Right after spraying I feel bitter orange and neroli which fades away quickly and turns into a more wearable and airy version of Classique Essence - at least the orange blossom and the powder are very similar. As a general feeling is kind of detergent-y, makes me think of a housewife in Italy, scorching sun, wet fragrant laundry hang to dry. Nice and happy scent if you are into laundry detergent, powdery notes, dreamy mental state. As for longevity, I sprayed 3-4 times on my arm and after 3 hours I feel if faintly, but the first hours were pretty strong. PS: now that I've added Classique Cabaret to my wardrobe, Iris&Neroli seems even closer to that, at a fraction of the price.

I like it! It starts like Eau de Vie Kenzo, that I still have and enjoy a lot: a kind a marshmallowish orange blossom, clean and delicately powdered by iced sugar. Uplifting, cosy, luminous, inexpensive, regressive and lovely. Great, really. Edit, 2 years later: Matter of fact, Iris + neroli is the combination giving me the sweet pillow of several other scents like Instant Magic, Praris-Venise, Dolce femme, Kenzo Eau de Vie and so on. Each of those have its own specificities, so I wouldn’t say they are dupes, but if you like the way they go, kind of fluffy savory orange blossom water, you’ll enjoy this one too. It starts a bit too fresh and heavy on the neroli, but goes to a sweet gourmand dry down like you have in some waffle syrup at the Christmas markets of my country.

This fragrance is absolutely lovely and elegant. It is comfortable and can be used in any season (but I prefer to use it during the colder days,it brings cozyness to my life). At the same time, the powdery notes transports me to another, more bucolic time, when afternoons were spent listening to Chopin and reading poetry. So... yeah, it's a lovely fragrance.

This fragrance is beautiful and feminine. The top notes have a pungent scent of neroli and citrus, but then it quickly develops into a gentle powdery fragrance. I really enjoy it and it lasts for a while too! :)

Cozy, cuddling, lovely powdery musk and iris frag. Don't be fooled by the neroli part: its just a few seconds in the opening ...just a short fresh blast and then it's gone. This lovely fragrance is all about a comforting, soft, elegant ant powdery iris. Classical and not ground-breaking, for the price it can't be beaten. It's an almost perfect dupe for Prada Infusion d'Iris (my go-to scent when i need to wind down and breathe) and also bears a lot of resemblance to Villoresi Teint de Neige (this one being a tad colder and sharper) and L' Erbolario Iris. Longevity is not a beast but one of the longest in this line. You can't go wrong with this one. Blind buy safe.

What a charming perfume. It opens up with a vintage citrus cologne and slowly turns into a beautiful, slightly candied neroli fragrance with a powdery iris touch. The result is a luxurious old-fashioned, feminine floral that is easy to wear and very lovable. Longevity is around 8 hours on my skin, and sillage is moderate. It is probably the best fragrance in its price range. Check it out!

is the cheapest niche you can get. Lovely sweat powdery. In the dry down it reminds me Guernain's L'instant Magic or even no5 eau Premier. I really like it.

I bought this because I wanted to try it out as a Prada's Infusion D'iris dupe. They both have neroli and I am a not a fan of it. So no suprise here - I didn't like it. It reminds me of a very old fashioned bath, full of green flowers and...neroli. It is greeny and vintage. Like old Rome bath? Unfortunately, I feel the neroli most. And it does not disappear. For the fans of such scents this perfume overworths its price. I got it for like a 10 euro and it is very nice blended, with a decent projection and longevity more than 7 hours on my skin at least. Plus, it has really nice bottle. Bit it's a pass for me. Edit: After wearing it several times I started to actually like this! It is so relaxing and fresh, and powdery! I catch myself reaching for it too often! Projection of it is really nice, longevity too. I don't know if I convince myself or not but facts are facts - I want to sniff this scent almost every day.

I blind bought this because i’m a sucker for powdery scents. I wanted to love this one but it’s so oldfashioned even though it was released recently. It’s not a bad fragrance but it gives chanel no 5 vibes which i’m not a fan of. Still spraying it on me at home occassionally

I don't think that I like this fragrance, it is bitter and there is nothing to balance it out. The dry down is a bit better but it is nothing I would ever reach for. I guess I'm not a fan of neroli. I will give a few tries to see if I can learn to appreciate it.

my husband recommended this perfume, because i dont have many summer perfumes it has been three years now that i own this fragrance and i do love it. when i wear it send me to a field full of neroli and iris, it is spring and oranges blossom have just began also it brings me memories from my past job even that i had so many bad people there the perfume bought me peace and strength love it

Bought this as I have other Jeanne fragrances out of GRASSE and they are natural and well blended. Well Iris and Neroli.. The neroli comes as a strong citrus top note and then on the dry down the lovely powdery iris, a pretty fragrance and very inexpensive for the quality. Winner.

The beginning is harsh green, but the drydown is very similar to my all time fav, Les Infusions de Prada - Iris. Wish the beginning wasn't that green, this one would be the best alternative ever
