Lavande & Vetiver

This fragrance deserves an objective opinion. I think I am right in admitting that we all appreciate having intense and different perfumes, bearing with our favourite notes, that we buy almost at any price, that we will use only on some occasions, and that we consciously classify as "our masterpieces". On the other hand, we consider it indispensable to have some perfumes perhaps cheaper than the previous ones, consensual, versatile, and not too intense, that we use distractedly in our everyday life and that we mentally label as "good for almost everything". Lavande & Vétiver falls completely into this second type of fragrance. It is clearly a masculine fragrance, although I can imagine many women wearing it as well. We can classify it as an aromatic fougère, an aromatic woody, or even a spicy fresh perfume. Its eclecticism lends itself to this vagueness. Its lavender and vetiver notes are very clean, denoting carefully selected ingredients. I imagine the fresh lavender comes from the Grasse region, while the clean, more ethereal vetiver may well have been selected from the finest Haitian samples. Light notes of tonka and iris add some softness and sweetness. The vanilla note in the base is also light enough to add just a bit of spicy sweetness. It's just not strong enough to highlight similarities to the more intense alter egos Pour Un Homme de Caron and Le Mâle which are often compared to this very affordable gem from Jeanne En Provence. In fact, I only notice a remarkable similarity with Pour Un Homme de Caron L'Eau. The performance is barely moderate and more in accordance with the low price of this fragrance. This is a daytime perfume, a crowd-pleaser, moderately fresh, extremely versatile and very easy to wear in work situations, at home, on walks in the park or around town, and even at the gym and on the beach. Its low price should make it even more attractive, rather than making buyers wary, as seems to be the case most of the time. My opinion: This easy-to-please scent is a clean and fresh flagship for the male audience, adapting to many different types of men and environments due to its versatility. Its fragrance style, in line with the breed generalised by Le Mâle and Pour Un Homme de Caron, makes it appeal to both male wearers and female noses, though without arousing huge romantic passions. A few weeks after buying it, the perfume will probably have run out leaving just the empty bottle. It will be an excellent sign. A blind purchase is totally justified by its low cost. Well it is in the same vein of Old Spice, calm to be thick, but discreet to be sweet, classy and confortable style, even i prefer pumped up sweet scents but considering the notes listed here seemed to write an ADN of fougere ones like Therre Hermés, but NO, i am fooled by the info mentioned. Getting back this one is sophisticated, but simple, maybe as a gift for a man who doesn't like sweet cloying scents, don't look the green bottle tasting a green fougere charm because is NOT. I have MANY lavender bottles on my boutique but are harsh and crispier, in a good interpretation. But as positive mention, here you will have like a Lavender Balsamic Liquor, great gift, masculine and sexy.

I love this scent so much, it's a tragedy that it's cheap and the performance mirrors the price. if I could pay 10 times the price for this exact scent with great sillage and longevity, I would. (I will try Le Male and update if it's the same) The scent is that of a forest fairy, a beautiful lavender with the green notes of the vetiver taking you to the woods. It's so simple and so good, it doesn't need anything else. The packaging and bottle is also gorgeous and feels very luxurious despite the price. It is certainly a more stereotypically male perfume, but it suits women too. I find it better on women because it's more unique.

Wow! Can believe no one mentioned that this passes as a dupe for Black Bvlgari (the Unisex one in the round bottle)! Has that same 'burnt rubber' or bicycle tire accord that Luca Turin talked about, exactly the same sweetness too. I remember when I first started buying perfume purely off Turin's direction, when I was learning about perfume, Black Bvlgari was one of the first that I bought. It felt wildly innovative when I first bought it but now it is like an old familiar favourite. Unfortunately Black seems to be discontinued now so go for this one. At the price of this, it's a no brainer.

This fragrance was purchased after seeing a review by The Perfume Guy, and it was added to an order of other perfumes due to its incredibly low price. It features few notes, with lavender being the dominant scent, resulting in an overall extremely relaxing accord. It doesn't have much projection or longevity on my skin. Lately, I've been using it on my pillow in the evening before bedtime, as a sort of olfactory treat to help me fall asleep.

This has a really strong ressemblance to Le Male. However it's less harsh to the nose (i think its the lack of the mint). Really love the natural Lavender in this perfume. For the price it's really a no brainer.

This has the DNA of JPG Le Male, for the price it is a really good alternative. Longevity could be better but is a very good fragrance. Opens with the lavender and leaves the vetiver behind on the dry down.

Get it if you wanna smell like a forest fairy, I dont really think it's that masculine so I'm gonna be wearing this all summer , the logivity is okay for the price all in all good everyday perfume 😊💚

Got this for fun, just to try a brand. I really like it. Its simple and clean. Good for daily wear. More masculine but anyone can pull it off. 10/10. Would reccomend. And cheap too.

I just love it. So cheap yet gives me spa vibes. I does not smell like your typical cologne. I love to wear it for a chill evening and even to bed.

I used to hate this because it was too sweet and powdery but I used up 2/3 of the bottle since march, when I posted this

I douse myself in this before a 10 minute bike ride to work and it makes me feel SO hot and mysterious

my teenage son wears this to school and it's a lovely scent. would recommend for quality and price.

The whole thing is a little misleading: a green bottle, in a green box that mentions only lavender and vetiver. What does it suggest? To me -at least- something green, breezy, dry, herbaceous, rooty, woody. Well, it is not what it delivers. The aroma is heavy on lavender, that much is true. But then there is this non-descript slightly-woody/fruity/vanillic thing at the base (which the pyramid above does not mention) which makes it a little heavy, in a way. It is a lavendery-sweet but without the brilliance or "gravitas" of, say, Caron Pour Un Homme. It is rather nice, perhaps a touch too sweet for my taste. But, for the price, it is solid: lasts and projects fairly decently. Moreover, tends to go well with other lavender-based scents if you layer it. Serviceable.

It's good for the price I had bought it at, mostly I liked it before I started my fragrance journey and tbh it is fine also my ex liked it a lot. For the price about 11 or so euros it's fine but I doubt I'll buy it again mainly I got is as a gift a while back and now if I buy something I'll probably go for something higher end like from Lattafa or something

Very very decent fragrance for the price. Sweet lavender and vetiver is what you have here. Similar to the dna of JPG Le Male. Longevity is not great but considering the price, you can't complain.

It's nice. It does smell of Le Male only softer. The name of this misleads you a bit Longevity and silage only moderate.

It ́s Le Male without the mint. The Jeanne en Provence quadruplet is really worth the money.
