Beachscape

BLIND BUY WIN! I'm not a fan of aquatic / marine scents as a general rule. I usually find them sharp, boring, weak, and uninspiring. If I wanted to smell like water, I'd do something crazy like...take a shower. This is awesome, though! It has a pleasant realistic salty-sea-and-sand opening, with gently elegant florals to lift it from just being a dull marketable "aquatic and fresh scent". It's a pretty ideal blend for this fragrance category, IMHO. Its sillage isn't brilliant. It becomes a skin scent very quickly (like 15 minutes), but then I feel that's appropriate for this perfume. The longevity is surprisingly decent, though. I bought in a gift-set because I desperately needed "Jennifer Aniston" EDP (one of my favourite jasmine perfumes ever); along with "Jennifer Aniston Luxe". Conclusion: Winning blind buy. Don't you just love it when that happens? :) *** Kitty rating: 8/10. Hubby rating: 7/10 ("Smells like...florals. It's nice.")

I love this. Its a very beachy smell. I get sand, flowers and an aquatic smell. The aquatic and sand are in front with light flowers in the background. Its not overly floral. I dont smell any of the fruit listed. Its fresh and even though I like the original and Near Dusk I think this may be my favorite because for me it captures what I define as beach smell. If you like a more coconut, dark beach scent then Near Dusk is awesome. I am surprised at all the negative votes on this. I thinks it one you need to test because how its described on the bottle is how is smells on me. Others are getting all floral or fruit. I suggest getting the body mist and giving it a try because its the only perfume I have found that gets the beach smell with out smelling like tanning lotion.

This is more or less a revision of the first Aniston fragrance (Lolavie) rather than an entirely new creation like J. and Near Dusk. It contains the same crisp, white floral core of the original but this time surrounds it with an airy, ozonic "dryer sheets" halo. The effect is super clean. If you are a fan of clean scents, laundry musk scents, clean laundry, or the original Lolavie, you will probably flip for this. No one will doubt you are wearing freshly laundered clothes. To be clear, this is more of a crisp Downy April Fresh load of laundry than a fruity Gain or warm,sweet Snuggles. I went through 2 bottles of the original but love fresh laundry, so I find Beachscape preferable to the original. Gym, office, weekend, errands scent. Unisex.

This is such a pretty scent. I can definitely smell the salty ocean notes and warm sand vibe. The wildflowers show up and add a delicate freshness to the mix. Slight woodsy note peeks in as well. Has a slightly soapy/clean vibe which I love.... All of JA’s fragrances are very pretty and classy and clean. Very soft & feminine and definitely beachy but not in a sunscreen/coconut way. I can definitely see myself wearing this a lot this summer!

At first spray, I can detect the similarity to BBW At the beach. Sea notes are reminiscent of Davidoff Cool Water Woman and Turquoise Seas (Calgon). Dry down is pretty good too. Smells like Davidoff Cool Water Sea Rose. This perfume also reminds me of Tribe (Coty) , as mentioned by another Fragrantica member here. Do I like this perfume? Yes. Happy about this blind buy. Am feeling lucky. Enjoy.

I love all of her perfumes. I really do. I really love "Near Dusk". When I saw this at Kohls of course I immediately had to spray. I think it smells fresh and beachy on me anyway. I really like this perfume. I am not sure which is my favorite though..."Near Dusk" or this one. I bought 2 bottles because they only had 1oz for sale. It also has a clean smell to it in a way. I like it.

This is really lovely...smells like a beach and is so clean smelling too. I really enjoy this and was surprised by how nice and different it was. I couldn't make myself return it so now it is mine to enjoy.

Very clean, very fresh, almost a bit clinical. This isn’t a direct trip to a crystal blue water beach, it’s a beautiful beach screensaver on a recently cleaned computer screen. If you’ve ever smelled a nautical/beach/ocean themed candle, cleaning product, air freshener or body spray and thought “I like the idea I just wish it was better crafted, more balanced and actually wearable” that’s what this is. You’re not sitting on the beach itself, you’re in a sparkling white modern beach house looking at it out of giant floor to ceiling windows. The house has just been deeply cleaned to the point of being almost sterile but the windows have been opened and the fresh air of the actual beach has come through and taken the edge off. The bottle and colour of the juice is perfect, crystalline, aqua, bright but not...overly faceted. Doesn’t project like crazy, which I think may be deliberate as this sort of scent is usually overpowering when found elsewhere. I feel like Jennifer in all her beachiness is very familiar with the kind of products I’m speaking of, if she were given the choice between a forest berry candle or ocean spray we all know which one she’d reach for. And I think that’s where this fragrance comes from, it’s her more restrained take on the standard beach scent we’ve all come to know. I like it and it definitely gives an air of being put together, clean and serene. it would make a good impression if applied thoughtfully. Just don’t overspray because while it is a toned down imaginary beach, I think dousing yourself in it would bring it right back to air freshener territory. Although I probably sound a bit critical I really do like it, but then again I’m one of those people who can occasionally appreciate the assuringly bright chemical smell of a freshly disinfected countertop. But now with this bottle I can have a diet version of that which other people will even compliment me on. This is to windex what Lacroix is to Mountain Dew and believe it or not I say that with love.

It does bring Lolavie in mind, but this is definitely beachy. Lolavie performs amazingly on my skin and hair, but it can make me nauseous if applied on the skin so it's my official hair fragrance, it's been since it came out and it's my top fav for that matter. Now this one I definitely use on my skin, the drydown is so addicting to me, ethereal and refreshing, the floral notes are amazing and soft. I tried it twice at Kohl's but it was out of stock there. I kept smelling my arm and the scented paper for hours afterwards and I never doubted that I want it despite the bad reviews on here. (I once owned Acqua Di Gioia and returned it as it was flat and masculine on me - Beachscape is all I was looking for) Lolavie is a violet musky dream, Beachscape is the sea breeze before the sun goes down. To me it does bring something new, where Lolavie is powdery, and smells like my childhood's diary scented pages and it's an indoor setting for me, Beachscape is like sitting on the sand enjoying the sea,very woody and herbal indeed. Coming from the country of sun, Greece this vibe runs in my veins and I miss it. Also it doesnt turn masculine unlike most aquatic perfumes for women,very important for me.

I agree with many of the descriptions below about how truly beachy this fragrance smells without coming across like sunscreen lotion. I would just add that this is my third bottle of fragrances from Jennifer Aniston's line: I also have Chapter One and Solstice Bloom. I know the market is saturated, and fragheads are sometimes a bit snobby about affordable celebrity fragrances. But I think Anniston's fragrances are so unique, we'd call them niche if we were sniffing without knowing who made them. In the case of Beachscape, to my nose, this fragrance could be conceptualized as a "cousin" scent to Goldfield & Banks Pacific Rock Moss. My partner wears PRM often during the summer, and he agrees. From now on when he's wearing that and we're in a car, I'm going to wear this so our two fragrances are complimentary and not clashing. 🦋🧡🦋

Here is my first review on this site! When I sprayed it the first time, I instantly went back to the '80s or '90s. I had smelled this before. Then it dawned on me: It smells like Clairol Essence pump hairspray. I liked the smell, so it was fine. The fragrance changes fairly quickly on me. It becomes a floral on me. I don't smell anything beachy. Longevity is all right, but not anything I could wear all day. I like it overall because of its price, the floral notes, and the nostalgia it creates of big hair in high school.

I can see this being perceived as clean and reminding people of laundry sheets, but for me it is more than that. It is a tad salty atop floral elements. It's comforting and does call to mind the beach, but smelling this without knowing the name I'm not completely sure that would be the case. I accidentally sprayed this over Harajuku Lovers Electric Pop G and the combination smells just like SJP by Sarah Jessica Parker! Sadly this has no projection and low longevity on the skin after less than an hour.

This is a pretty scent for sure. I get sun, sand, and light florals. For me this perfume was a safe blind buy for $10. I can see this becoming my go-to for running errands. I do wish it lasted longer. I'm lucky if the scents lasts 2 hours on me, even with overspraying. (SKIP THE BODY SPRAY! It's just sharp florals, you won't get any sun or sand to smooth it out, and the scent only lasts 10 mins.)

try this one for yourself! I was surprised at the bad reviews. I personally like this new scent. It is slightly floral with the wildflower mix with the sand and woody smell. If you're like me and enjoy flowers try this one. This is not a heavy perfume. everyday fragrance. Kinda reminds me of the original ,older BBW scents like Seaspray and Wildflower tea. which I enjoy...

I love this fragrance! This smells so clean,with a slightly sweet floral. It reminds me of Sea Island Cotten by BBW. Longevity and sillage is minimum on myself, but at $9.99, I can feel free to spray away. If you like Philosophy or Clean, I recommend you picking this one up. Note: If you like a beachy, coconutty scent then you should get Near Dusk.

I like it fine. Makes me think of the way the back of a neck would smell after a day at the beach. Sunscreen, salt, the remnants of a pretty body spray, maybe a splash of a cold drink. It barely lasts two hours, so I'd say it would be a good refresher fragrance for a gym bag or in the car, or maybe just for lazy Sundays around the pool.

Reviewing the bodyspray. This is not sweet at all. It's a nice change from all the beach themed scents that contain tiare, coconut, and similar notes that often smell similar. This smells like fresh ocean air sitting on a sandy beach. Almost gives a "clean" scent. I don't smell any fruity notes at all.

This is a clean, summer fragrance. It comes on sharp and strong when first sprayed, but is basically gone within the first hour or so, even from clothes. Even though I like the scent, 39.00 for 1 ounce is way to much for a perfume that will be undetectable within a two hour span of time. Sad...

Truly smells like the beach. Kind of what I would prefer Cool Water to smell like. I have the roller ball and the body spray. It can be too much of a good thing if you over-do the body spray in one application.

The only one of her fragrances that I would consider wearing at all. This one is a tad too busy with the "wildflowers" tho--not sure I even buy that note, more like white florals to me. No fruit detected.

she’s okay. Smells beachy which was exactly what I wanted for this one. Fresh, salty, and clean. It’s not very sophisticated or special but great for a beach day

Very aquatic and fresh. I just get a clean laundry smell overall. Wouldn’t buy this as a perfume! If you need to use it up, maybe spray your clothes after freshly laundered, or bed sheets. It’s not offensive at all, but not appealing as a perfume. Longevity is BAD! Doesn’t last even two hours on me sadly. Bottle is very cute and classy looking but that plasticy cheap lid ruins it for me. Edit: this smells nothing like chant d’extase. They only share the aquatic feeling but that’s it!

[To my nose], this perfume smell exactly, and I mean EXACTLY like the Renuzit gel air freshener. The blue one, I think it's call After the rain or Pure breeze something... I think everyone got it pretty spot on in the comments. Similar to air freshener, clean laundry, cleaning product, linen, etc. I much prefer the Lolavie one. AND I very much like the pretty bottle & the whole series!

Very nice aquatic flower scent. Very light, without having the sun tan lotion vibe. Probably good for summer. But there is something that also kind of reminds me of bathroom air freshener so I can’t decide if I like it or not. I guess for someone without this association it’s a great cheapie.

This was the first JA scent I really didn't care for. There's something odd sitting underneath this one that just skews it into warmed astringent cleaning agent territory for me. It's also a little disjointed like someone made a list of things that make them think of sea and sand, and then mixed all those together randomly. It's very, very reminiscent of several Bath & Body Works Beach scents that I also don't like. Not the tropical scents, the "beach" scents. They all have some synthetic warm note along with a chemically blue note that is actually off-putting for me. When I tried this on, my immediate impression was somebody that just used the original blue Sea Breeze toner after showering with any blue "fresh scent" shower gel. Rain-herbal soap followed by harsh astringent topped with nondescript faux sandalwood body spray. Not obvious summery like coconut, pineapple, sunscreen, any of the usual suspects for beach scents; this one leans into the sea water, salt, and herbal notes but in that chemical-attempt-at-it way that's at the same time sharp and cold but with that fake warm undertone. Gladly the sillage and longevity are mid to low, so it didn't hang around long, and I did wear it until it faded to see if it would develop into something I can wear. It didn't really change, and if anything as the sharp blue notes wore off that weird warm note just stood out more until the end. The price is great, so it's a great value if it's your thing. If you like most of the beach/sea scents at Bath & Body Works, you'll probably like this one.

I *wanted* to love this. I love fresh, aquatic fragrances, and anything with "beach" in the name is going to get my attention. I tried it at Kohl's just the other day and was very disappointed. On me I didn't smell anything aquatic or fresh at all. It was basic floral and fruit, mixed with something that I guess was the "sand" note. Not appealing at all. "Near Dusk" is a much better fragrance by Aniston.

This one is quite strange,plain,not intriguing at all,very one dimensional...I couldn't stand that wildflowers note and ended up selling it. I smelled a clean note,but it wasn't great either,it reminded me of a clean/fresh room freshener..I couldn't detect any fruits at all. I like all of the Jennifer's scents,but this one was disappointing in my opinion.

First impression was a very sweet cotton blossom from BBW. Like others have said the scent is similar to dryer sheets. I’d compare it to bounce clean breeze dryer sheets. Not my favorite from JA, I don’t quite get the aquatic/beach like notes. If you like very sweet air freshener type vibes then I’d recommend it.

Very boring scent! The village and longevity pretty much nonexistent.

I just picked up Jennifer Aniston Beachscape at Ross for $10 and I really like it! However, the notes that are posted for Beachscape make little sense to me; what is a "sand" note, anyway? A mineral-type smell? I don't particularly smell minerals or hot sand in this. As for "sea notes," I'm guessing that would be something like a salty water smell which I also do not get. To my nose, Beachscape opens with a citrus blast (orange?) and develops into some undefined fruits and orange blossom over a background of laundry musks. I really don't get the "beachy" or ocean-type smell the creators appear to be going for, but that's OK because it's still very nice. Oddly, what Beachscape reminds me of the most is a lower key, "cooler" version of Liz Claiborne Mambo (also a super-cheapie at Ross), with its citrus, orange blossom, ginger, and laundry musks. When I read the notes that CelebrityFragranceLover posted down below for Beachscape, the Mambo connection made total sense: Beachscape also lists grapefruit, orange blossom, ginger lily, and musk in the official list of notes. Beachscape turns into a skin scent more rapidly than Mambo, though, and projects less, too. But it's pretty and low key, if you need that sort of scent; just be prepared to re-spray hourly if you want it to have much presence.

Surprised how much I like this. A keeper. Faintly beachy without screaming suntan lotion. Very fresh, maybe even a bedtime or after shower scent. It's unique I think unlike others, it doesn't smell like other beachy frags and is not purely beachy either. Doesn't project heavily unless you douse yourself but I find the staying power longer than others say. I smell wafts of it for several hours and a skin scent for longer. Comforting scent. It doesn't smell like Mambo to me as someone said but I can see where it might be a similar vibe. I do love Mambo though too. I find this unique though I don't know Davidoff Sea Rose, it doesn't smell like Cool Water. Love this. It will have it's place in my rotation. So far it's the only "beach" scent I like. I do not find it the same as Lolavie at all. If you look at the notes they are very different. I bought Lolavie as a reviewer said they were very similar and I found they were not. Lolavie was just too sweet for me and I don't like jasmine. As for Sea Island Cotton. I gave that away after 1 wearing. This one I kept. So make of that what you can.

This is bothering me so, so, so much. I've smelled this before. It takes me back to when I was a teen or maybe in my early twenties. I'm not sure if it's Herbal Essences, I don't think so; that's not where I remember it from. Herbal Essences came back with their first line of products and I've smelled a lot of them recently. I'm almost sure this fragrance is was a body spray or an eau de parfum that I owned. The only ones that are coming to mind are Fetish by Dana back in 2000 or 2001 and Morning Glory by Calgon, but neither one fits. I like Near Dusk more, and that one is on my wishlist. Now, Beachscape I would buy simply because I have to find out how I have smelled this before. I have a very vague memory attached to the scent of Beachscape. It's fresh, clean, woody, but with light, sporty, floral notes. I wouldn't buy either one at full price (I hardly ever do with any fragrance), but to me, it would be great to add to my collection.

Very clean but not in an antiseptic, sterile way. This fragrance to me feels cool or neutral rather than warm. I personally usually find warm perfumes the most inviting, but there is something about this that still feels friendly. This smells very much like open air, salt and water. I sometimes have issues with a salt note bothering my nose but not with this. I played around with this today and when I was outside and the breeze was causing it to waft around me, it was so fresh and divine. Not sweet, fruity or coconutty. Just clean, but in a nature-y way. Like bathing in a serene body of water on a cool, early morning with the rising sun warming your back. Appropriate occasions: work, gym, errands, casual outings, most day-to-day things. I would personally choose something richer, warmer, more exotic for a date night or fancy event but this is a very nice, easy-to-wear, safe offering. I get about five hours wear with a moderate sillage.

I love this scent!! I sprayed in the air at Kohl’s because, honestly, I wasn’t expecting much of this fragrance. I kept smelling other fragrances and I got waves of this one in the air. I could not stop thinking about it, so I sprayed it in my hand and left. Thirty minutes later I was ordering it trough eBay (sorry Kohl’s, I got it from a fraction of the price on eBay!) Two hours passed and I’m still in love. In my skin, I smell a lemony ocean fresh scent. It’s something that reminds me of my childhood summers near the beach in the 80’s. There’s something comforting to this fragrance, something you’ve smell before yet it’s so generic you cannot point out where or when you’ve smelled. I’m so happy I got the chance to smell this!!

I sprayed the tester of this in the store today, and was instantly reminded of some nostalgic scent that I couldn't quite put my finger on at the time. After wearing it for awhile and sniffing my wrists from time to time, I finally remembered what this perfume smells like--the original Aussie hairspray/scrunch spray from the 90's! I enjoy this perfume mostly for sentimental reasons, it reminds me of summertime as a teenager. I am having a hard time pinpointing individual notes, as this fragrance is pretty one dimensional... I suppose if I had to come up with some sort description, I would say it's a clean, fruity, aquatic scent with a tinge of a musky dry down.

I bought the little 15ml spray from FragranceNet and I have to say that it’s quite nice. It’s one of those safe little rollerballs (this is a spray) that you can pick on a business trip. As other Jen’s fragrances, it’s safe, airy, breezy. It does, in my opinion, smell very similar to the original Jennifer Aniston (Lolavie). In fact, it’s pretty much the same, maybe with an added note of sea salt and something marine and sandy. It’s nice, work appropriate, office safe, one of those fragrances you could wear anywhere. Is it unique and memorable, though? Mmm... not really. I need to see how it performs, but so far Jen’s fragrances have never performed well on me.

The minute I smelled Beachscape, I instantly had a scent a memory of the early 90s. Does anyone remember Tribe? It was my first perfume that wasn't a hand me down from my mother, and I LOVED it! I don't know how similar these two perfumes actually are, as I haven't smelled Tribe since about 1994, but it triggered some happy memories for me. As it dries down, it starts to smell more like one of the Clean fragrances, but it is nice and really pleasant for summery days. Or days you just want to feel like it is summer.

Beachscape was my least favorite of the Jennifer Aniston scents. It's ok but that "clean laundry / dryer sheets" genre is kind of whatever for me. And that's what I get from Beachscape. Nothing about this feels beachy to me. It reminded me a lot of pulling warm clothes out of the dryer. I see it's been compared to CLEAN Warm Cotton which does not surprise me. If you like musky laundry type scents, try this one, it's always a good price. I'm going to stick with J from the Aniston line, it had so much more nuance.

I was excited to try this one, and it is nice...just not a purchase for me. This completely reminds me of a creamier / less sharp version of Avon's Instant Vacation scent that I have. It also reminds me of the Summer 2017 At the Beach scent that BBW released...It is definitely beachy, and a nice, basic beachy scent. I like it, but I wouldn't purchase since I have the similar scent from Avon. Overall, Jennifer Aniston's favorite for me is still J!

I had a chance to sample this and I have to say I am not sure I like it but I don't hate it. I only smell soapy cleanness. I couldn't quite put a finger on what it reminded me of until today. It reminds me of being a kid and taking a bubble bath with Mr. bubbles bubble bath. Like I said, I don't hate it but most definitely doesn't smell beachy to me. While I wore it, 4 hours on my skin and projected about 1-2 feet around me.

I like Jennifer Aniston perfumes, but that one doesn't impress me much...I find as where the other two had a certain quality, this smells rather simplistic and almost cheap...mind you the price reflects that..not sure I smell the beach in it, it is like a watery aquatic floral..very light, no, sorry this isn't as good as Jennifer, the blue bottle, which I truly enjoyed...Bath and Body world quality I will add.

This has a shampoo like scent to my nose. It reminds me a lot of Finesse shampoo. Like all of JA’s fragrances, there’s a soapy cleanness to this one. I really enjoy it during the summer time. Perfect for freshening up or casual wear. Definitely not for a date or a night out / special dinner. This is more like by the beach with friends, laying out by the pool or running errands in jeans and a white t shirt

Quite pleasant smell, but nothing groundbreaking or "wow". No sea notes or sand notes. I can smell only flowers and may be fruits, quite fresh, close to aquatic. It reminds me some smells from 90th like Shiseido Relaxing Fragrance or "Ozone" Sergio Tacchini I keep a roller ball in my purse to use it sometimes, in the middle of the hot day during the week. It feels fresh, simple and very office friendly.

Opening brings to mind children's bubble solution - the stuff you get with a plastic loop to blow bubbles with. So a vaguely sweet-soapy-fruity scent. Given the name, I was hoping for more atmospheric sand and saltwater but I'm not getting any. Just bubble solution and maybe a bit of sunscreen or bug spray. Chapter One is more evocative.

Found this at Ross for $9.99 and couldn't resist. What can I say, I love celebrity scents 🤷♀️ turns out, I LOVE it. I get a lot of the fruit scent, and I love wild flowers. My oldest daughter says it smells like hotel soap, but I don't get that. Will repurchase when I run out (hopefully at the same price!)

I smelled this one in Kohl’s today. While this isn’t my style of perfume, I think she really got it right in that it reminded me of refreshing, cool ocean mist on a warm summer day. Nothing too strong, too offensive to my nose. Just a soft, refreshing, breezy type of scent.
