J by Jennifer Aniston

I just bought it yesterday at Kohl's for $55 and I am so pleased and I don't regret buying it! It is very very nice scent and I sprayed a little in my clothes before going to bed to find out about the longevity...When I woke up this morning I was surprised because I could still smell it! The drydown is soooo good...It is light but it is there and I love it because it doesn't give me headache like most perfume do! I love it so much, it's feminine, beautiful, light, fresh, sweet and smells expensive like designer perfumes. And the bottle is super gorgeous I love that it has a gradient color of blue. While I was trying to think what this perfume reminds me of...I came across to my perfumes and surprised that it kinda smells like my hidden fantasy by britney spears. Probably the vanilla and the musk to it that blended so well at the base...I think the base makes it similar to HF by britney but in a very nice way. I give it a 10/10 Love love love it!Good for summer but I think it can also be worn during winter because of the vanilla and musk which can keep you warm and cozy, sexy and confident.

I first saw this in a review by Jeremy, and was curious to try it, so I bought a small 30 ml bottle for 11 dollars at SDM a couple years ago. I later sold it in a massive bundle, but I was recently thinking of it again and I bought the big 85 ml bottle at SDM for 20 bucks. J is a wonderful, wonderful perfume. It is very classy and elegant, but also airy, beachy, and light at the same time. It is clean and silghtly powdery, but not generic or boring. Very feminine and sophisticated. The vanilla-musk-sea salt accord is just amazing, it lingers on your hair and clothes magically. I love this in winter and summer, it's really perfect for anytime. Magical after the beach, or after a shower or bath. So sexy and feminine, and I imagine Jen wearing this too! The bottle is not the prettiest, but it doesn't even matter. It's simple at least. This is also the only ever perfume with sea salt that I love. In every other perfume, sea salt is overpowering and ruins it all for me. I love it! I think it's a great addition to anyone's perfume collection, and the price is super affordable.

I've had this one for a while now and hadn't reached for it in some time. Today, after having recently worn sumptuous incense orientals, dark & dirty patchoulis, delicious gourmands and some delightfully bitter chypres, I found myself needing something of a palate cleanser. J by Jennifer Aniston is a "just out of the shower" clean fragrance. Somewhat sweet, yes, but also a bit salty and starkly fresh. Like wiping the slate and starting over. There's a slight likeness with L'Artisan's Skin on Skin in the "my skin only better" musk inherent in each but J adds a kiss of vanilla that's a bit warmer than the musk alone in Skin on Skin. Totally likeable and totally inoffensive. Seems like the perfect clean scent for work or after a gym work-out. No skank & all clean. Moderate sillage, 6-8 hour longevity and an "Oh, you smell so nice!" compliment getter. Available at bargain prices too! I'm going to grab a back-up for under $15 USD since all the lovely ones seem to disappear - you all know what I mean...

After reading some rave reviews I tried it on, thank God I didn't blind buy it! Horrible. Some of the worst ive smelled. Overly sweet and heavy, quite synthetic too like a car freshner, worse than that. It doesn't smell like a perfume to me. I tried washing it off thank god it faded away within 2 hrs. UPDATE: im now confused. I don't know WHAT kind of tester Target had available but the 1oz one I tried got the review above^ it rly smelled nasty and heavy. Today at Kohl's I tested the 3.0 oz bottle and it smelled totally different than the one I tested at Target. Its elegant, light, sophisticated and has some sea/beachy vibe to it. So if I were to buy it, I would get it at kohl's and the biggest bottle. Whats the deal Target? Might explain the rave or hate reviews

I tried this in a tester. Wow. Really nice scent, agree w/the waterlily and a musk, then dries to a salty aquatic beachy scent. Excellent longetivity on me. I will definitely will be buying this and will try other JA perfumes now. That dusk one looks to be something I would like as well. I like that these are readily available in the department stores in my area. I don't much like to mail order perfumes. The price seems good for this quality as well. edit: another one of my go-tos, good for office or outdoor wear. Only con, does not last a long time on my skin. I would not be afraid to spray heavy on this scent. I have purchased a larger size back up which I normally have not done with another fragrance. It is so easy to wear.

This was a discount store blind buy and I'm so surprised that I really, really like it. It's definitely a musky vanilla skin scent anchored by soft woods. I don't get much freesia, thank goodness (we don't get along that well), but the other white flowers shine. This is "a pretty girl's summer scent." I picture someone carefree wearing long flowy summer dresses with sunset walks on the beach. I applied conservatively, and could still smell on me hours later. It doesn't have strong sillage. This is a very personal scent. Would be good to spray in your hair and on your clothes. The bottle is soooo pretty and classy. I love it. Overall, I think this is a good purchase and I'm glad I own it.

This is GORGEOUS. Very happy with this blind buy. The sea salt accord is almost like smelling the fresh ocean air. It blends beautifully with the water lily. The jasmine and magnolia peek through and then the vanilla & musk make an appearance. This is a sexy scent and I honestly could picture Jennifer wearing this herself. Its seductive and very feminine & my fiancé loves this on me. I got this and Jennifer's first frag and I think her namesake would be great for work and J would be great for a night out having drinks with your girls or a date night. It's much more seductive and deeper than JA. Looking forward to adding more of Jennifer's fragrances to my collection

To me, this smells like roasting marshmallows at a bonfire on the beach on a summer evening after swimming all day. I don't know about you, but that sounds like something I would like to be doing. I didn't care for Lolavie, but J is really beautiful. For me, it opens with damp, light florals and slightly salty aquatic notes. After a minute or two, you get this lovely fresh vanilla with a touch of citrus. This reminds me a little bit of Calgon's Marshmallow line. This is fresh, warm, and fun while still being sophisticated enough for wearing to work or on a date. Love this and will definitely be repurchasing.

So nice. It's like Ange our Demon and Britney Spears Curious had a sweet lil baby. Soft, subtle, almost a your skin but better vibe. Smells like the hand cream of a beach goddess. Longevity is moderate, sillage soft after the first few hours. Vanilla, sandalwood, musk, magnolia, soft jasmine, and a very light sea breeziness that does not scream "aquatic!" More like you're a block away from the beach chilling on the porch and a light sea breeze blows through someone's hair who recently used a really nice conditioner. That's J!

I got this for 14.99 at Marshalls and the girl ringing it up said it smells so good without even opening the box. This is so yummy. It is a sweet creamy vanilla floral scent that has some maturity too it. It's really done right. I could swear after about an hour I get a hint of coconut even though there isn't a coconut note in this. It's one of those that after I spray it on myself, I have to sniff my wrist all day. The longevity and sillage is moderate. Now I can't wait to try her other fragrances.

**My review is for the fine fragrance mist of this perfume** Floral with faint musk & jasmine,vanilla with a aquatic beachy vibe is what I get from this and it smells soooooo good!!! I had the actual perfume and almost got another til I saw this and snagged it up wich I'm so happy I did because the longevity and sillage are both moderate on me and exactly the same as the perfume itself so for a fragrance mist this was super impressive to me!!

I really enjoy this perfume. it has a scent of light white florals and vanilla bourbon dry down. Its not a heavy perfume , which I like. This goes very well with lotion from BBW Magic in the Air( both have Iris floral with vanilla bourbon) They smell very similar. It also goes well with St.Ives Shea lotion. I do get some salty, aqua notes but powder at all. I think I'm gonna like wearing this one a lot.

I ONLY bought this because I had coupons... It is OK. Better than her first (on me) but waaaaay over priced IMO. I wish I got more vanilla from this fragrance! I mostly get sandalwood... EDIT: 5-5-16 So I have a lot of perfumes and only about three or four have I ever been complimented on and this was one of them :) I prefer, and my chemistry prefers this one out of all three

I’m so glad I own this; it’s hard to find in the UK. Musky, beachy gorgeousness. It smells like what I would imagine Jennifer to smell like - warm, fresh, expensive but subtle. It is little more than a skin scent on me but when I’ve hugged my friends, I’ve always been asked what I’m wearing. I wear this and I know I smell good.

This smells like the most beautiful, clean, fresh powder! I am taken by surprise at this perfume! This does not smell what we usually tend to think a celebrity perfume will smell like :) This is a mature and serious womanly scent. It's just so gorgeous, light, smells blue like the bottle. I am in love at the first spray :)

J by jennifer aniston lasts quite longer than Jennifer aniston (formerly Lolavie) perfume. am thinking of ways to avoid finishing up my bottle of J. I want it to last! It's a lovely musk and vanilla scent. I've been comparing the two and I think I prefer J. I recommend having both in your collection.

It's a musky, beachy type of fragrance. I smell warm cozy vanilla, musk and ocean. It's a gentle and delicate, ocean smelling walk on a beach at sunset after a shower. Perfume that you would wear to connect to yourself and meditate in. haha :D

Softly sweet and creamy. Really really beautiful!!!!

I almost, *almost* purchased this the last time I tried it. It's nice! Much nicer in fact, than most celebrity fragrances. It's still sweet and vanillic like they tend to be, but the vanilla is salty and there's a gentle wood accord that keeps it from disappearing right away. The longevity is a strong medium 💪 The florals meld together, and this feels refreshing, yet not "aquatic". I cannot smell anything distinct, but it's a mild "white floral". It absolutely feels chill, and matches the bottle perfectly (I love when that happens!) It doesn't smell of "sea", but rather, the elements here are salted. It's a little similar to "At the Beach" from B&BW. I wore this after a hair appointment, and hugged my mom. She remarked at how good I smelled, and I said 'Yes, the stuff --hair stylist's name-- uses is strong!', but she objected "No, no...it's whatever is on your shirt!" where I had sprayed this. I became anosmic to it after an hour, and I didn't expect this to be noticeable, but it still was. All I smelled was hair products, so I will say that this doesn't have a *strong* presence as it got submitted by mere hair creme, but it's very pleasant and makes a lovely skin scent. This is something you could easily wear around particular people even in the heat, it's polite. I think I didn't purchase because nothing notable sticks out or feels distinctly unique, so it wasn't a love, but it is a strong like. I recommend it though! ⛱️ 🌊

Good news and bad news.... So...as for the scent itself. Smells amazing. I can describe this one as a vanilla fragrance, but it's almost a very "fluffy" smelling vanilla with a slight floral backround. The scent itself I would give a 7 out of 10. The real tragedy is it's performance. I gave it a moderate vote for longevity because technically it does last about 3-4 hours. However...it only projects for the first hour. After the 1 hour mark...it's a skin scent. Barely can smell it without putting my arm up to my face. Scent itself is great but in my honest opinion...Lolavie and Near Dusk are both superior to this one. Scent Itself - 7/10 Longevity - 3-4 hours depending on amount of sprays. Projection - About 3 feet or so for the 1st hour and then all of a sudden...skin scent leaving no trail, even when you're swiftly walking. Overall Score - 7/10 This is a solid like but the performance haults it from being a love. JENNIFER...GIVE US AN INTENSE VERSION OF THIS!! :)

Oh, I tried this today and got hooked! It was a good deal, but I left it there as I'm on no-buy. Anyway I liked it right on the spot on paper and then on my skin. Now, this is weird. I don't care for celeb scents most of the times and we don't get so many here anyway. Actually I've never seen JA's first one and now this second one is kind of new here. It's cheaper, but smells acceptable and it's a relief for brain! Nothing hammering. This is very longlasting yet absolutely subtle. You won't kill anyone with this, but it probably will make you smell good and relaxed. I don't know exactly what grabbed my attention in this scent, because it's true, it is generic-smelling, but there is just one edge that kept me asking myself: what is this? what is this? I thought powdery almond, a very tamed almond, not banging, but no almond is listed, so I guess it is about powder. Affordable, wearable, sweet-clean, office-friendly if you care about, feminine carefree attitude.

A combination of flowers and bergamot, which adds some bitterness to this scent. Even though I prefer fruity perfumes, but I got a small rollerball of J for Xmas. I think I will use it up anyway and try to enjoy it. In my opinion, it's a winter scent. When I tested it in summer, it got sharp on my wrist skin and I felt pretty disappointed because I really like Jennifer and it was the very first JA perfume I had ever tried. Now, in Dec, the sharpness is under control. I can see myself wearing J when I go out with my husband. All in all, I can't say this perfume is bad, just doesn't suit my chemistry very well, its composition is quite interesting and has a lot of facets to it. If you see it at a store, give it a try! UPDATE: I tried it on in autumn in a year & BAM,it smelled amazing,so I ended up buying it! No biteerness or shrpness on my skin whatsoever! Such a captivating scent,like a beach getaway in a bottle!

I really like this scent, but it disappears so quickly. I only have a rollerball if it, and it’s so affordable to purchase a full bottle, I’m going to buy it and see how it lasts on my clothes too. I chose to get a set of rollerball perfumes by Jenifer Aniston because of the reviews on this site. I’m not educated in the nuances of notes yet, but I trust the people on here and the descriptions you all write is enormously helpful to imagine the smell before buying in a time where only online shopping is available. J has the lovely clean, musk scent that reminds me of the only fragrance I wore forever, White Musk by Body Shop. I know, not very sophisticated, but I started wearing it in college. What I like about J is it’s a warmer scent with more depth, while still having the clean, unobtrusive musk smell I got from my old standby.

This is not my usual type of fragrance, but I'm very happily impressed ! J is beautiful ! Wears very close to skin, but it's strong enough to project a gorgeous cloud of soft rich florals, gentle white musk,and slightly salty sea water. VERY beachy without smelling like suntan oils. J lasts over 12 hours, until you wash it off. It blooms with the warmth of your skin. I don't find it powdery. It's more of a soft musk feel than powder. I don't get any citrus in this at all. The bergamot listed in the notes is hidden in the sweetness of the flowers. It's a floral sweetness, not candy sweet. Perfect for Spring and Summer. Very feminine ! I LOVE J and will repurchase when I run out. I already have and like Lolavie. Now if the price of Near Dusk comes down, I'll try that one, too.

I get confused by her fragrances in the same bottle shape, especially about which one was Lolavie. To me, this one is not beachy at all but a floral oriental vanilla musk with a litte more depth and mystery than most celeb perfumes. I must remember J is the blue one. It is not a blue scent to me, lol. It smells purple to me. Maybe this is where I get mixed up. I bought the gift set with a small atomizer and a dry body oil. The oil smelled *nothing* like the fragrance, and I promptly gave it away, weird. Her perfumes used to be at Target, but she seemed to have switched exclusively to Kohl's. I wish there would be more body sprays and gift sets. I think she does a great job at her fragrances, although my favorite is Chapter One, which is totally different from the others.

I had high expectations for this one, because i really loved Near Dusk, but J disappointed me. I can ́t say it smells bad, because it really doesn ́t. it is actually nice, but it smells like those air freshners people put in bathrooms. Truth be said, it gets better with time, but the air freshner vibe never truly disappears. it just gets the company of a nice marine breeze smell, but still, this one is nothing i would buy. My husband liked it though. I would say, do not blind buy it, but if you ́re a fan of clean smells that are not citrusy, this one is worthy trying. maybe you will be luckier than me and get the marine breeze smell without the air freshner vibe. p.s: this also reminded me of baby colognes. so, if you ́re into that, this may be the one for you.

J by Jennifer Aniston is a Summery tropical floral. At first spray, I thought it had a frangipani accord, but I think that might be the mixture of water lily, freesia, and vanilla. The sea notes here don't really smell aquatic, per se, but serve more so to balance the super sweet base notes. After a few moments, it dries down to mostly white florals, musk and sandalwood. It's a casual fragrance, something that might be good for vacation or a daytrip to the beach. My biggest complaint is that performance is very poor. After only about 15-20 minutes, I almost have to search for this scent on my skin. This would actually be quite nice if it didn't disappear so quickly, but I paid $10 for it at a discount store, so I guess I get what I pay for.

I like this a lot. It's very soft, pretty, and clean smelling. I can imagine coming home from the beach, taking a shower, and spraying this on. It's a musky vanilla almond powdery skin scent with very light florals that are barely detectable. Since I'm not a fan of freesia that's a good thing. I'm not getting marine notes, but it does have a beachy feel. Silage is a little lacking, as is longevity, but I got it at practically a giveaway price at Marshalls so I'm not complaining. Update - I decided to use this after my shower and I absolutely love the dry down on this. That musky almond-vanilla smells sooooo delicious. I'm really, really enjoying this.

To me, after 30 min to an hour, this Jennifer Aniston fragrance is just like a watered-down version of Guerlain L'instant Magic (which I used to have back in the day, got it as a gift from my mom at 15 -16 y.o. and absolutely adored). It's something that Guerlain could've made and name it as "Guerlain L'instant Magic Eau Fraiche" or something. This also smells like Kate Moss' Vintage (which is pretty similar to Guerlain L'Instant Magic and owned it as well). It's powdery, feminine, has a distinctive, delicate -sweet vanilla note plus some citrusy accord. It's such a nostalgic smell for me, it brings back so many memories...

It's a very light fragrance. I like it, though IMHO I think it would have been better without the lemon and magnolia. The vanilla here is grown up. The others notes that stand out the most besides the vanilla are the jasmine, sandalwood, water lily and musk. As for the aquatic notes really accentuates the fragrance. I like it but not love it. It's perfect for daily use or for a day at the beach. Very refreshing and comforting. This is like an aquatic version of S by Shakira. Not similar but a bit familiar. Compared to Jennifer's first fragrance, this is a little bit softer, less white floral, and more woody/oriental.

Am I insane? On first spritz it smells exactly like the drydown of Code Satin to my nose. I get nothing marine or aquatic, just gorgeous, soft, creamy vanilla with a bit of spice. I adore it! Will save me from splurging on Code Satin (and allow me to bypass the strong root beer phase of Code Satin and get right to the best part!) Can’t speak to longevity just yet. Will have to revisit this first impression review later. Oh, and...yes it’s a skin scent which is great for us shy girls who are terrified of ever being complimented on their perfume by anyone who hasn’t just hugged them. :)

I picked up a rollerball of this at TJ Maxx to take along on an extended business trip--I wanted something that smelled nice but was inexpensive in case my luggage got lost or I broke the bottle. This ended up being a great choice as it was a pleasant scent that lasted all day long with soft to moderate sillage. So what it smells like: the opening is aquatic with musk, water lily and a touch of zesty bergamot. It becomes sweeter as it dries down, eventually turning into a pleasant sweet musk. I don't specifically smell vanilla, just a general sweetness. Overall it's a nice perfume.

Top notes include bergamot, water lily and salty sea accord. White flowers of magnolia, freesia and Sambac jasmine form the composition’s core, placed on the sensual base of sandalwood, Tahitian bourbon vanilla and musk. Wow, that's an impressive list of notes. Too bad all I get is lots of fresh, clean laundry that fades to a base composed of musk with a slight touch of jasmine and a hint of freesia. Unfortunately no Tahitian bourbon vanilla or sandalwood to be found on my skin. This would be work appropriate. If you like this, you should try: ~BS Hidden Fantasy~

I bought this blindly in hopes for a beachy fragrance....but it did not deliver. However, it is quite lovely. It's a "typical girly", ultra sweet, white floral (reminds me of Prada Candy with a dose of jasmine). Considering the price of most "typical girly" fragrances this is a real winner. My only complaint is the atomizer....it sucks. But J smells great and it has decent projection and lasting power. It smells youthful and delicious. It would be a great fragrance for someone on a budget.

The bottle is classy, the scent is very good. It is like walking in the beach. However it does not last long although part to blame is my oily skin. I am not really an expert of composition notes or anything like that, after all if it smells good, it smells good.But I find that I usually get migraine from aquatic notes the longer I smell it, hence I stay away from Omnia Crystalline, Issey Miyake, Azur,Escape, acqua di gio etc....All in all this is very pleasing perfume for most of us.

This was my very first aquatic scent and I totally loved it. It definitely transports you to a sunny beach spot with a soft gentle breeze. This one is almost better than Aniston's first perfume "lolavie". It is enchanting and light. It does stay close to the skin so it's definitely safe for work. I gave my bottle away to someone who fell in love with it but I wouldn't mind picking up another bottle to enjoy on those warm summer nights when out for a glass of chilled white wine.

I really like it. Traces of very muted, pastel Ange Ou Demon dry down to a slightly incensy vanilla. This might be beachy, true, but it is not my idea of aquatic at all. I get no water musk or water notes here. I do smell a mimosa note briefly, which reminds me of what I consider to be the mimosa stage of JLO Deseo. I wish J was a little more concentrated than it is though. It seems so light.

A super light and pretty scent. It smells very clean and beachy with a hint of coconut and delicate lily. It is definitely a skin scent...I really love to spray it on after a shower and before bed. All that being said though, it has the weakest lasting power and sillage I have ever experienced. I really do wish they would come out with a more potent formulation.

Like the original, this one has the heart of the ocean and sea-salty air in it but J goes off on it's own path with some warm, sweet vanilla. It also has this note that make me think of laundry brought in from the clothesline having dried in sun and fresh air. The musk is there but never takes over. I like this one very much, even more than the original.

I tried this at the store a few times and all I ever get is sandalwood, sea notes, and musk. I dont like this one at all! This is another great example of why I should never trust my dislike list. I retested it since I got a free sample with my Walmart order and I really like it!

Very light beachy vanilla musk with a little salt water essence. I do like this, its comforting and very inoffensive. I just wish it was stronger! Its an easy grab and go fragrance! Something that you could keep in your purse because its wearable no matter the day/time.

At first the scent smell like an old ladies' perfume once it settles the scent became a very lovely soft floral. Scent asted on me about 5 hours. I was surprised the entrance fragance was strong I wanted to wash it off I am glad I did not. I like it.

I tried this at Target the other day...I like it more than the original. A little fresh and sweet....and I love the blue color. I'd get this if I got a good deal...I only hope the lasting power is better than the original.

J is beachy, feminine, and pretty. Freesia is the star here, and being a freesia fan, I enjoy it! Performance is good, especially for the price. Husband really likes this on me as well. Definitely recommend

This somehow reminds me of Dior's Hypnotic Poison. I don't find it to be "beachy" at all. I think it is pretty gourmand, at least on me. It's pretty strong on me, and it seems to wear quite a while too. It's definitely sweet smelling. I also like Near Dusk, and do not find them to be similar, but both are really nice. I just couldn't get into her first perfume, as it smelled of fabric softener to me, and was way too light and floral. I think the bottles of these are classy looking too.

This is a very soft lovely feminine scent. On me, it sits incredibly close to the skin, so if you like a delicate scent, this is a good one for you. It’s mainly a faint floral and vanilla musk. There’s some aquatic notes. This would probably be great in very high heat. It won’t be cloying or overpowering! It’s too light for my taste but it is rather pretty! Edit- Hours later, I can still smell it and it seems to have become stronger and I like it even more now

It is a lovely fresh aquatic-floral scent, but barely there. On my skin it disappears after 1 hr, so I only use it before going to bed. I wish the performance was better. Not buying again.
