Solstice Bloom

Another win from Jennifer Aniston. This whole line with one exception has been a dark horse for me, and I'm sad to discover it so late. This is another coastal scent from the line, that thankfully doesn't limit itself with shades of chemical coconut and tanning lotion. This is beach views, not beach towels; it smells much less "outdoors" for me. The seawater, salt, and greener notes of her other offerings are replaced by woods, **gentle** smokiness, and amber. Subtle white florals are still here sweetening those drier notes, while that classic soft musk pulls it all together. I think of a beach condo with clean lines and minimalist decor, a fireplace, and sweeping views from a glass wall and large balcony. The impression is quality, the profile is relaxed, approachable, and even inviting--while still being reserved. The sillage is not big and far-reaching here; it sits a little closer, for those you allow into your space. Think of sinking onto a white couch in that minimalist condo, talking with close friends over bubbly drinks and a wooden charcuterie board, everyone's jewelry sparkling in the dancing firelight ✨. Like other JA scents, this one instantly fuels my most pleasant imaginations, and I find myself sniffing my skin to keep the dream reel playing when I wear it. Longevity is at least 6 hours for me in warm temperatures, with projection shrinking very close to skin after 3-4. Not enough for all day or night, but plenty to last through a work brunch, lunch date, or that relaxing evening with friends--and at this price you can afford to reapply and let it carry you from daytime to dusk. Mine came from Jomashop, another very successful blind buy at a great price in pristine condition (this one did come in a plain box, but full original bottle and I'm not selling it or wearing the box, so ... 👍🏆 💰) A new summer love for me that I wish I'd met years ago, and hope to enjoy for years to come. ☺️💖

Solstice Bloom is sooooo pretty! It's this wonderful combination of softly floral sweet (I do smell a very light gardenia) and the smokiness reads as more powdery than smoky, in my opinion. I have no idea what smoketree or solar notes smell like, but this smells really good. I also strikes me as kind of unique; at least, I'm not familiar with any perfume that smells quite like this, and I have a very large collection. <3 Weirdly, it's hard for me to smell it when I first spray it on, but as it dries down, I get light wafts. I will admit, I keep being on the fence about whether to keep this or not because often when I wear it, I wind up thinking it's just too weak for me. The only people for whom it might be 100% satisfying are those who are exquisitely sensitive to strong perfumes, or perhaps those who are often around perfume sensitive folks. But it's so funny that when I keep putting it aside to give away (and I've done this now several times!), when I try it again, it's such a pretty smell that I move it BACK into my collection! Oh well...!

Typically, my fragrance preferences are woody, amber, aldehydic, soapy, spicy, deep, rich scents like Chanel no. 5, Diptyque Tam Dao, Jo Malone Wood Sage & Sea Salt and Dolce Gabanna.Red Cap. I was searching for a floral fragrance to add to my scent wardrobe. I had my eye on diptyque o'fresia but cost wise I may need to wait a while for that addition. I found Solstice Bloom at $25 for 30ml and the reviews and notes sounded good so I gave it a try. I have found it to be the perfect floral addition. I find it warm with a slight salty, powdery note and with just the right amount of florals (too much can cause a bit of a head ache for me). I feel I can wear it when I want to smell clean and fresh without making a huge scent statement. It is the beginning of Autumn and still very hot here in North QLD atm and I am finding it to suit the climate perfectly. It seems to lightly waft around me throughout the day and I am really enjoying it.

Sweet, smooth, fluffy, warm, sophisticated cuddliness. This perfume was a blind buy for me, as I noticed the body spray on Amazon for under $10. It has grown on me, and I enjoy it more the longer I wear it. I don’t get much smoke at all, just the tiniest hint. I think what the smoke and sand notes do for me is to ground the scent and make it feel more modern and luxe, rather than a simple sweet floral or baby powder scent. It does smell like a “mom scent” if you take it to mean a scent that makes you want to hug someone. For me, that makes it appropriate for the office as well as date night-approachable but not a turn-off. I highly recommend trying this out if you like cozy, fluffy style scents-cashmere, amber, etc.

I stumbled upon this at work, tried it, and instantly was in love. This scent is fresh, clean, dewy, and beachy. Beachy without a coconut? Yes, Due to the sand note I'm guessing. This smells like nostalgia to me, when I smelled this it took me back on a trip to Virgina, when i took a walk on the beach during a windy day, a slight bit of sun peaking through the clouds, the calming waves reaching the shore then pulling back. It's radiant, calming, and reminds me of good days on my vacation. I absolutely love this, and will make it my signature since no other scent had this much of an emotional impact on me. It lasts so long on my skin, I have the roller ball version.

I am so pleasantly surprised by this fragrance. My first impression was “this is what Beach Walk thinks it is...” it’s light, airy, summery and extremely well blended. At first I didn’t think I smelled the smoke note at all but I think it’s just so subtle & integrated in so well that I didn’t recognize it for what it is. When I read the notes and saw “sand” I kinda rolled my eyes & thought sure, sand note.... BUT THERES A SAND NOTE IN THIS. It smells like the sand you track into your fancy hotel at the beach on vacation. Somehow, this fragrance actually smells GRITTY, but in a soft, subtle, beachy way... I’m extremely happy with this $14 blind buy

I’ve been wearing this for a week and at first I could hardly smell it, however it’s grown on me and become one of my favourites. This is a “your skin but better” type of fragrance, it’s subtle. On first spray it smells quite strongly of alcohol but that quickly gives way to a soft clean scent - for me I get a soft clean musk and hints of white flowers. It definitely smells beachy. I don’t get smoke as an individual note, however I do smell what people refer to as the “sand note”, I can’t describe it it just smells like the beach. Perfect for when you want something light and soft and elegant.

This smells like a woman with freshly washed and blow-dried hair (with yes, a tinge of hairspray) and she's walking down a beach. There's sand and salty water on the breeze, and the sun is sweltering and unforgiving. I'm not painting a picture either this is quite literally how this fragrance smells! It smells like sand, salt, musk, sunshine (HOW?) a tinge of pepper and a light, powdery floral. Super comforting. And it really does smell like something a mom from the early 2000's would wear! I would also imagine her to have a Tuscan styled home and play Norah Jones on the regular 😂

This perfume is the epitome of “skin scent,” soft and subtle in the fragrance category! I almost wrote it off, but I actually crave it on days I’m overstimulated or frazzled because it’s calming. It conveys weekend, lazy morning, casual vibes to me. A beige feeling scent. There’s something a little floral, a little powdery, a touch musky, natural and subtle! I imagine smoketree is giving it a hazy feel? The whole composition just reads as a gentle breezy, skin scent, and I wouldn’t be able to spot it as perfume. But it’s THERE.

Solar Bloom is an experience of walking along a sandy beach. The sun is setting or rising so nobody is being punished by its unrelenting heat. You smell how the sun’s warmth has provoked a soft, woody, vaguely flowery, musk from your skin. There’s a saltiness in the air that somehow makes your skin feel new. It’s a pensive smell, accepting, like it’s embracing everything that you are and all that you’re made of.

I got this a few weeks ago at Kohl's and there was nothing online yet to tell me what this smelled like. Needless to say, it's good stuff! Different from most of what's out there right now. Not sweet, not dark, not heavy...more of an essence of goodness. That probably makes ZERO sense, but get on over to Kohls - remove your mask for a brief moment and give it a try. You'll understand! Stay safe!

Fast forward 4 months to the coldest time of the year. I took this out today and WOW! This blooms in the cold! It's crazy and oh so good! Ladies, if you have this, pull it out of your summer stash and try it. You will be amazed. I love this more today than when I purchased it in early October last year. Beautiful - gorgeous scent!!! Happy February!

I love this perfume, the smoke tree note is so light and interesting. That would be so much fun if there would be more perfumes with such interesting compositions out there. The packaging is also so cute. Thankfully the bottle is bigger in person, I will enjoy every drop of this scent.

Smells like my mom. It's hairspray, baby powder, makeup, clean laundry, and freshly blow-dried hair, surrounded by a mist of CK One (her signature scent.) It actually makes me cry. Sillage and longevity are poor; yet still I rate this a 10/10 (especially for the price.)

A gentle breath of light citrusy musk and a distant echo from an invisible friend. What a tease.

Looking at the scent notes above, I've never been around the smoketree plant, and I don't know what sand or solar notes smell like in fragrance. Of course I'm as familiar with all of the other scent notes as any other fraghead. So I can imagine what this would smell like if it only had the more familiar notes. But it smells much more unique and intriguing to me than that. I think if I never saw the scent notes, and I needed to describe the overarching scent accord, I'd say it is smoky without smelling charred or woody, and quite powdery, with a slight bit of gardenia and musk in the background. I think if this exact scent was marketed differently, and maybe had at least one more accent scent note, customers could be persuaded this was sophisticated and niche. You know, well-blended, etc. I like it. I wear it alone, but I'm trying to decide what might make a good layering combo with it. I know it's not fashionable to own this. Not the kind of thing that concerns me. I see it as a hidden gem. 🦋🧡🦋

My husband gifted this to me last year, he got it at Walmart and it was inexpensive and one that wasn't part of my collection. It's so unusual but really comforting. It smells really great with my skin and is a warm and comforting beachy scent without coconut.

This is so nice. A fresh floral with a tiny beachy note and a little clean powder.

Another safe scent from Beigeniston. Pleasant for the office and very soapy.

Comforting, relaxing, perfect as a wear to bed scent.

I hoped this would be, due to the similar bottle, a variant on the intoxicating and bright Chapter One, but it is very faint and mostly smells of clean lotion. I do sorta get the sand note but not smoke or smoketree (gotta look that one up). Not quite sure about the solar or the others. I usually love anything with pepper but don't get any here (maybe because it is white and not pink?). I will head back to Kohl's eventually to get another sniff, because I am known to fall in love the second time after a meh first, lol. === Sorry, this is not a review YET but a vow to get my nose on this asap. I love the happy Chapter One and like Chapter Two and J -- much respect is deserved for these affordable fragrances. I think 2020 makes many of us hyper interested in fragrance and to want beachy cheerful solar scents. There is such a thing as a solariental, and I would love more recommendations for this type of scent.

I’m a little disappointed in this one as I love a few of Jennifer Anistons fragrances. Don’t get me wrong it’s not bad it’s a very light fresh clean scent. I was intrigued by the notes especially the “smoky” and smoke tree and this doesn’t smell smoky whatsoever. It is very very light definitely a skin scent and lightly powdery. I actually struggled a bit to even smell this and I have a very keen nose. On the recommendation of another reviewer I tried this in the cold hoping it would bloom more so than in the heat and sadly it didn’t. This would be great for people who don’t love perfume but like to smell clean or don’t like heavy scents. I don’t even get beachy out of this. Just too light and uninteresting for me I’ll give it to my mom.

This is a pretty, effortless perfume. It reminds me of something else but I can't quite place it. It's a delicate, sweet, musky/floral scent. No note really jumps out at me, but if you gave someone a hug with this on they might think oh they smell nice but they won't really know what exactly it is that smells nice. Is it your hair? Is it a lotion? Either way you smell pleasant. The longevity and sillage of this are weak, so remember this is a light scent that doesn't project far. It won't offend anyone, she's cute. Update: It's just too weak for my preference. If you are a fan of topping off your perfume throughout the day or over spraying, it might still work for you, but I believe a good fragrance should last on it's own.

This is a pretty one but it lasts only about an hour on me. It is also weak on projection. I wouldn't repurchase.

I absolutely LOVE Chapter Two by Jennifer Aniston so I picked this up on sale based on the notes and reviews and I have to say I am SO disappointed. Not only does it smell super unremarkable/bland but it wore off so quickly on my skin that I had to push my nose up to my wrist to smell it after only about 10 minutes and when I did I could only faintly smell the warmth of the base notes. I was hoping for a strong warm beachy smell and this one was a big let down for me but she does have others in her line that are very nice.

Not a love on me. reminds me of a cup of tea, which could be nice, but it is as close to the skin as can be and longevity is terrible. Also, I don't like the smoke note in this - it reminds me of meat in a smoker somehow, or like steak sauce. That isn't very prominent, but I can't un-smell it.

very sunny and clean, makes me picture the border of the beach where sand meets greenery, warmed and dried by a full day of sun and now exhaling baked florals and radiating the heat of the afternoon. even with the solar notes it could easily go from day to night, imagine an evening with skin and pavement still warm after the sun sets and petals littering the ground under the trees they fell from. it's smoothly blended and evocative but shy, it retreats significantly after only ten minutes but sort of dances both toward and away from you. i try to smell it on my wrist and wonder if it's already fading away but then will get a waft of it at arm's length. it's soft and airy, and it diffuses to the point of having to look for it but it always comes back. it's a very immersive experience, i don't feel as if i'm smelling a juice i spritzed on my arm, i feel like i'm sitting on the sand near real flowers and leaves and the strength of their smell is dictated by the whims of a soft warm breeze that can't make up its mind. i feel relaxed and look forward to the next moment the scent picks up again, taking each wave as it comes. i'm really pleasantly surprised by this effect and this is from one test spray on my arm. i can only imagine this getting compliments and it would wear well in many situations as it doesn't announce itself as a perfume, it's very natural and i think that's what makes it so versatile. this isn't a contrived blend, it's a portrait of a real smell in a real place, somewhere beautiful and warm. the name is perfect as it is very much a tribute to the organic fragrance moments you experience when you spend enough time outdoors. i would love to know which beach jennifer was on when she decided she had to capture its essence in a bottle. this is the kind of smell that will make someone hug you twice and ask what you're wearing. it would also make a great clothing/linen spray. it's very comforting and calming and is the third jennifer aniston fragrance i've tried and my immediate favourite by far.

Beachy without any coconut, yes it is possible!! I really like it! It has the same vibe as Beachscape but without the cold feel. This is non aquatic and VERY sunny. How did they manage to give the sunny feel, it is soft floral and "high pitched". I get that feeling of playing in the hot sand at my South Carolina house in the summer where we have sand instead of lawn (there is naturally beach sand there lol) and surrounded by my flowers, I have a gardenia too lol. I dont get any pepper though but there is something metallic about it, i dont know how to explain it, must be the "smoke" note. The major downside is it is VERY very faint, and disappears completely within one hour. I'd still definitely buy it and spray myself every hour. I loved the warm beachy feeling it gave me cuz I grew tired of cold, ozonic, borderline masculine and aquatic beachy scents. I get Guess Dare vibes without the green sourness of Dare, but I consider them same family. If I smell my arm Im pretty anosmic to it, but lets say when I do my makeup and lean closer to the mirror I smell it, so the silage is quite good in close space, it is a skin scent for sure. On ebay its expensive. Kohl's currently has this in a 3-pcs set 1.7 with 2 travel sizes for 24 bux.

Just spritzed this on while at Kohl's today. This is fresh, light, clean, beach-y -- I loved it upon first spray, but waiting to see how this wears. I prefer having perfumes that make it through an 8 hour day, but on occasion - the scent is so good that I wouldn't mind buying a travel size purse spray for refreshers. I think Jennifer is ONTO SOMETHING with this blend. This is really nice, low key - natural and fresh. Will have to explore this further.

To me, the name really says it all, Solstice Bloom captures the perfect seasonal vibe in a bottle. As a huge fan of Friends and Jennifer Aniston for so many years, this fragrance feels extra special to me. It has that effortless, radiant charm that Jennifer herself embodies, making it more than just a perfume. it’s a little piece of my favorite ever season of Friends. 💛 I am biased for this!!!!! Definitely one of my favorites and a great bed scent!

Soltice is very soft and almost not a perfume. Something in it reminds me of the Breck shampoo my mother used to wash my hair with years ago. It seems like a fragrance that would fit with 2020 and being isolated at home due to the pandemic. Very muted and might be suitable for spraying on at night before sleep. It's not party perfume.

Just snagged 180ml worth for $48 So good. Definitely worth it. $7.99 for 30ml at my local ross. I actually really love it. It smells like quiet luxury. A wealthy lady on white & beige Linen outfit walking along a beautiful beach during golden hour. I Layer with Another 13 to balance things out.

... a few interesting releases are capturing my imagination these days! Can't wait to try this one too, sounds really one of a kind by the notes.
