Enduring Glow

Pure as The Spring Morning Dawn Hey, if you are a follower of mine, you should know that once or twice a week I pick up new fragrances, and today I stumbled upon Jennifer Lopez (JLO) Enduring Glow. The shop where I usually by cheapie fragrances offered an extra 20% off, and this one mainly attracted me as it exudes joy and lightness from all pores. Before jumping into the scent, I’d like to say that in the last few months I have dabbled in women’s fragrances. I got a little fed up with men’s fragrances and after getting my feet wet with unisex scents; finally, I took the leap and start wearing perfumes made and intended for women. At this point there is no going back. I have bought many bottles of women’s perfume and enjoy wearing a sizeable amount. Until a few years ago, I lacked the self-confidence needed to bring out a feminine perfume. At 56, I don’t care what other people think. I no longer see fragrances as having a gender. I wear what I like, what makes me feel better, regardless of whether they market the perfume to a man or a woman. That said, from the first notes you can sense that the essence is perfect for spring and summer mornings, it is so delicate and fresh that it makes you want to wake up with a veil of this perfume on you, on the pillow, and on the sheets. It is a fruity floral fragrance, but I think it is unquestionably unisex, on a par with Calyx by Prescriptives, I am aware of many men rocking it during the early nineties, including the best friend of mine. The bottle and cartons are beautifully metallized in gold and coated with a sophisticated porcelain effect at the bottom that gives the fragrance prestige, luxury and temptation. In case you missed it, the bottle maintains the iconic shape of Glow by JLO, immortalizing her celebrated body shape and bottom. Concerning the scent. When I tried it in the shop, my mind immediately brought back the image of a perfume I love: Chloe EDP. And it was no accident. If you have the same patience as me, and compare the two olfactory pyramids, you observe that JLO and Chloe share most of the notes, except the rose, which often appeared stuffy. So if you like the good mood that Chloe creates when you wear it, but can’t bear the note of the rose, JLO Enduring Glow could be the scent you are looking for. So, at first glance, this fragrance made little impression: it had a faint, déjà vu, and indefinite odor. Soon after, I thought, for no reason, of driving along a coastal highway, with a brackish breeze blowing, a relaxed beach vibe. I thought it was the perfume. It is light and fresh, subtle but pleasant enough. It has a muskiness, a kind of fruity but more like floral, easygoing just in a word. Be aware, if the original Glow caused quite a stir because of its intense white floral notes and that soapy smell that we all love or hate, this one is different, smoother and milder. The scent opens with refreshing a moderate projection of delicious fruit and citrus accord. The opening is bright: Italian bergamot is slightly powdery, dewy pear and subtle lychee create a mix of succulent fruit. Yeah, Enduring Glow is another modern scent featuring the pear accord, which I like though. This is not a typical sticky, syrupy fruity floral. At this stage, the scent has a wide projection and a delicious fruity accord fills the place where you sprayed it. Shortly after the initial application, the musk, listed as a base note, enters the blend, with a clean, white, and projecting accord. Pink peonies, violet leaves and lemony magnolia petals burst with a feminine touch. The heart is a blast of flowery and watery notes, the carnal magnolia blends with the opening luscious fruit, the outcome is a gourmand floral accord. The powdery iris sets in the background, does not dominate the stage, but adds a soft and dusty touch without turning the scent into an iris/orris centered one. Magnolia is prominent everywhere, but it isn’t shrill. A little soapy peony peeps out, but it blends well with everything else. The middle stage is floral, unquestionably. The last notes come as soft touches of white amber crystals with a pleasant dry smell, sheer musk and creamy sandalwood, wrapping the scent in a sensuous, warm glow. As many people have said, it has a soapy flower scent but also lends itself as a fresh, creamy, and clean scent. If you are a man and you want to wear it you have to do it with the right suit. Initially, feeling it on me, I thought it had a poor sillage. But yesterday my partner saw it on the shelf. The golden flask intrigued him and wore it. Well, I changed my mind. The perfume leaves a very intense creamy trail. Even after hours, the more the better. Enduring Glow is much more mature than I expected, in a good way. The scent is a fresh and immaculate floral; it is sweet but subtle and discreet, warm thanks to the blond woods, perfect for work, for a carefree morning, or for an evening apéritif. The bottle is beautiful and definitely stands out for its unique shape. The perfume has good lasting power and just a few splashes are enough. It is a little strong at first, but then it dries with a nice warm and seductive scent. If you’re familiar with Glow Original, this one has the same vibe but has a spicier opening, creamy heart, and subtle finish. I rocked it this morning and smelled it on myself all day, even more on my clothes. My hubby likes it a lot and uses it too! It has a great longevity and is impressive for a “celebrity perfume”.

I don’t understand any hate for this fragrance. For one I’m glad to see her back with a new scent. Even if it is another “Glow” flanker. But. A new fragrance house, so I am excited to see what they let her cook up! Jennifer is always hot and busy so I expect a follow up on 2019 if not a few! The scent itself has AWESOME staying power. Like damn! It’s winter here cold day and it clings to fabric so well but even wears well on skin. As many have said it has a soapy flower scent but also lends a nose to a clean fresh scent. I think this is a very chic scent. I could see a professional wearing this. Someone who’s in charge and who’s well aware of their chemistry. Being a man and being able to wear this you have to be able to have the right outfit. Something comfortable and toned down but yet assertive. It’s a softer scent almost like fabric softener but not cheap. I love the bottle as well. I only got a 1.7oz bottle so I expect it to go fast as this one is a easy 8.5/10!

This perfume smells really nice but just as Still from J.Lo, it lasts for 30 minutos only, AND AS A SKIN SCENT! I do not regret buying it, it was so cheap, I can use it for the gym or for being at the house, but... I just doesn't last. I wont miss it when I finish it up. 7 months later... I have to say, after 7 months of use, that it has gotten better and now it lasts for about 2-3 hours. It has become an easy grab for me and have used it several times for work and to run errands. I really enjoy it, I have bought another bottle and will let it macerate for it to be ripe till I finish my first bottle. Quite injoyable fresh ELEGANT fragrance. I quite recommend it now. And as for Still, after 1.5 years of owning it, now it projects and lasts for about 4-5 hours. So, for these JLo perfumes to have better performance, you need to spray them and then let them sit and macerate in a dark, cool place.

Just bought a 50 ml bottle off eBay. Surprised someone was already selling theirs! While I think Glow needs to go ahead and smolder out already due to the insane number of generic flankers, I must say I’m pleasantly surprised with this one! It still follows the beachy salty opening of the original but it dries down with much more amber and musk. The magnolia is prominent throughout, but it’s not screechy. A bit of soapy peony peeks through, but it’s well blended into everything else. As is the pear. This is not a typical sticky syrupy fruity floral. (Which I’m sick of) I rather like it. And I’m wearing it in cool temperatures now so I may think differently of it when summer comes again! Scent 7/10 Sillage 5/10 Longevity 6/10

I dunno it lasts on me for a whole day🙄 and I do struggle with lasting power of a lot of fragrances. I do use it strictly when it’s warm/hot outside. One of the best florals for the heat (this and blooming bouquet are the only fresh florals I can use in this type of weather). It does remind me of Chloe a lot but slightly less sharp and rosy, more peony and pear dominant (it’s like og Chloe mixed with blooming bouquet plus has conditioner texture). Not soapy compared to glow. Couldn’t imagine myself reaching for this in the winter (I’ve putted it aside at the end of the last summer and pulled it out only now and it’s still not hot enough for it to shine ✨ or glow hehe🙃) Edit: I got a back up bottle❤️

Bought a giftset of this a Kohls today with the perfume,matching lotion, shower gel and a rollerball for 1/2 off and it was a well spent $20. This does have the Glow vibe to it but has a zesty opening with the bergamot, pear and lychee. The creaminess of the peony starts to peak out mixed with subtle sandalwood & then the musk & amber come out. I used this this morning layered with the body lotion and could smell it on myself all day. My fiancé really likes it as well! Ive been super impressed with all the JLo's that I've been buying lately. I think they're all very well blended, smell amazing, have great longevity and are really quite impressive for a "celebrity scent". Another 10/10 from JLo!!

Upon smelling it for the first time as if I'd just come across a good, long-lost friend. And yes - that's what it was! A twin-sister of "Queen Of Seduction" by Antonio Banderas and Acqua di Gioia EDT, only a bit sweeter, with a hint of pineapple (not listed), also a veeeery distant relative of Eau de Dolce Vita - simply a joyful, fruity floral, perfect for hot summer days in moderate climate. I love its longevity and the fact that it reminds me of some scents that I have known and truly liked for years.

Personally, I hated this scent when I first bought it...however, after leaving it for a few months and then coming back to it, it started to really grow on me. It was like the scent became a little more fresher and the notes stood out a lot more, so If you have this perfume or are planning on buying it and you don't love it or really like it straight away try leaving it a while and it might change your mind. I definitely prefer this and miami glow over the original glow <3

Beautiful fragrance. I think this will be my signature scent this year. I have about 30 + perfumes not including my body mists. This is one of the most beautiful fragrances I have smelled. I absolutely love it. It is feminine, sophisticated and lovely. This can be perfect all year round for both day and night. The bottle also fits nicely in my purse or backpack, It’s slim. A gem! One of my favorites. Perfect for summer and smells amazing in the heat. I barely get anything floral from this, it is all incredibly juicy fruits. Very fresh and clean smelling though and not sugary sweet. Wearing this is like biting into a crisp apple (the feeling, not what it actually smells like). Lasts all day with just a few sprays. Definitely one of the longest lasting perfumes I own. I would repurchase again and again.

I just took it. It smelled like a sweet floral water with a little sexy character, a nice classic. Pink peony, magnolia, pear, a little lychee smells first, then comes violet leaf and bergamot, finally musk, sandalwood, amber. JLO, well done, I think this is the most well-made glow and youthful glow she has made, the price is worth it, I give it an 8/10 for starters.

I smelled this at Kohl's today, and I knew I had to have it. I agree with the reviewer below who said this smells like a combination of Versace Bright Crystal and Chloe. This is a beautiful fruity, floral, fresh perfume that lasts very well on my skin throughout the day. Now I want to try other JLo perfumes because this is the first one I have ever owned!

I like it a lot...it's very fresh and the floral notes are very beautiful, they're soft, clean and delicate. I have the body spray and it feels so refreshing. I haven't tried Chloe but if it does smells like it, well I don't have to get Chloe because Enduring glow smells expensive and very very nice. I'm gonna get the bottle for sure. Good job Jlo!

It is a perfect perfume. Makes you feel young and energetic with mix of fruity, fresh and sweet smell all balanced so well. Just a few spray on the skin and fabric stays a longer time on cold weather than the warm. i liked it more on the fall and winter.

Dashing bottle and lovely scent.Smells very similar to Versace Bright Crystal & Versace Vanitas, which i absolutely adore both fragrances.This a beautiful floral fragrance, lingers beautifully.Longevity and sillage are both great.

It's amazing! I decided to risk a blind buy but it is long lasting and sillage is pretty good. It reminds me Chloe Signature EDP but of course lower priced version of it. If you like Chloe, you'll definitely love this one too!

A clean, fresh floral-fruity fragrance that's perfect for summer. I like it more than the original Glow.

This is more wearable than glow imo. I do enjoy it. It’s nice and fresh, especially for spring. This is something that will go nice if you were to wear white, as I feel there’s something clean, crisp & fresh to it. I think it’s something I’ll be able to get through quite quickly due to how little It lasts, I feel it projects during the moments of it being sprayed, but doesn’t last too long after the initial spray, I would classify it as an intimate scent. The only downfall I have of this fragrance is that it really doesn’t last, it is like a body mist, it’s a fragrance that you will definitely have to reapply throughout the day. Nevertheless, I like it, not bad not great, suitable day scent and office appropriate. I have Vanitas Versace EDT, and it very similar, I have tried decluttering it but can't bring myself to. I believe I like the fresh floral slightly citrus notes to these two fragrances. The shape of the bottle can be annoying to spray.
