L.A. Glow

THIS. IS. SO. GOOD. This was the very first ever fragrance that I found that in my opinion smelled so...purple in fragrance language. I'm obsessed with this. JLO has made SO many Glow flankers and this one...is honestly FAR better than the original glow. Also...don't let the "sweet" accord intimidate or repel you from trying this one. It isn't gourmand sweet like Jessica Simpson's Fancy or Britney Spears Fantasy. It's sweetness comes ALL from the fruity notes. It's a fruity sweet...not a sugar cube sweet. It still has a very clean vibe as most of her perfumes do...but this one is so much more interesting and well blended. It's so fruity...and so clean all at the same time. Where a lot of fragrances like this say "I don't know what I want to be," and come off almost confusing or poorly blended...this one just says "I know exactly what I want to be. I happen to wanna be both things. Take it or leave it." SO clean...SO fruity...and to be completely honest...this is also quite unique. My collection of fragrances closes in at around 200 and that's just the fragrances that I own. I've smelled thousands by now. And I've never smelled anything that smells like this so major props to JLO and the perfumer on that! Lasting power only moderate. About 4 hours but with it being so cheap...I don't mind reapplying or heavily applying in the morning. Sillage - Also moderate. About 3 feet. Smells so good that I do wish it were a "fill the room" type of scent. Scent Itself - 9.5/10 Overall Score - 9/10

I just bought this fragrance a few days ago and I'm loving it! I smelt it a few months ago and knew I eventfully wanted to get it. When you first spray it, you get a punchy burst of berries & something a little bit zesty, I even thought I smelt grapefruit at first. But once it's dries down and the big plum smell has settled, it makes way for a more clean floral scent. The dry down reminds me of the original Glow, so I'm glad there is still resemblance of it in LA Glow. All of JLo's fragrances are known for having her signature soapy smell, and I definitely detect a fresh, out of the shower-like feel from this. It does go quite musky toward the end. But overall, I'd say it's a prefect nighttime scent that states it's presence without being loud. It's light & summery with a slightly sensual vibe. Not very unique but nice, nonetheless.

This is like a berry bouquet in a bottle. What a lovely springy/summery fragrance! Longevity is not that long, but I love to respray fragrances during the day to "freshen up" the scent anyway :) I received this for Christmas, but holding onto to it now to really give it a good use once spring and summer get going (up here in NY). Definitely a nice one I can see wearing to the shore this summer too! Such a good feeling smell comes from this fragrance. Overall, can say reminds me of summertime: fruit and berries galore, Rainbow Italian Ices, walking on the boardwalk at the shore with the smells of cotton candy and the sea wafting thru the air... and ok, have to admit cause my daughter gets this: Kool Aid (the blue mix lol)... It's all good though - A fun fragrance worth having in your perfume arsenal! :)

When first sprayed, this fragrance is all cherry and berry to me. It's a very sparkling and crisp opening. It's not listed, but I kind of get apple too. The plum for me however doesn't make an appearance until the heart comes out. It's definitely a dark fragrance. I would only wear it at nighttime. The heart really adds a creaminess, that I believe makes this scent even more heavenly! I really pick up jasmine and plum! Tropical cream? Hmmmm...this must also be in the heart because I get absolutely no creaminess in the base. I only pick up musk. Pure musk. I love the packaging and bottle of this fragrance! It's absolutely stunning! I love how the bottle starts off pink and transitions into a deep purple at the bottom! I would definitely recommend this to people who love fruity florals!

Amazing fragrance! The best from Jlo in my book. For the first time ever i can actually detect all the top notes of a fragrance. For this for me blackberry stands out the most. In a way it does kinda remind me of Britney's Midnight Fantasy but MF for some reason was kinda blah for me (not saying its a bad fragrance its just that its been out for a very long time and it kinda bores me) LA Glow is more spicy and not sickening sweet. I find it has perfect balance of fruity and sweetness .. nothing over powers.As for the lasting power i would say okay not amazing. Over all just a simple yet very classy scent! Just thinking of it gives me chills!! Good job Jennifer!

Maybe it's my favorite fragrance with blackberry, because it's dark here. Also it's very cherrish fragrance. The notes pyramid looks very interesting. But the fragrance is more for young ladies, I think. Also I have a gardenia feeling here somehow, because it has something like perfumes with it in the evening style. Maybe I wish it has less peony and musk, because they bring a little bit associations with bubble gumy Midnight Fantasy by Britney Spears. I like this fragrance. It's yummy. I don't like fragrances by celebrities, but I'm glad to have something by my beauty ideal J Lo.

i so agree with GregorAPBDH, this one so mixed feeling about it, sometimes i love but sometimes just okay, but now my conclusion is just like it, cause so heavy dark berry scent with a touch of plum and floral but so thin, but what i like the most from this one is in the base, so gives me a tropical vibe kind of thing, so creamy and blend well with musk, but for first spray, uoohh so strong heavy, but great along it comes to base notes, just want it for the base notes, hahahaaaa but nice okay perfume and last long time with me, almost 12 hours. well done miss jLo.

Berries, berries, berries and more berries! This truly is a 'what you see is what you get' fragrance, the perfume pyramid describes it perfectly as you start off with blackberries, plums and cherries. Later in the night is when the flowers start to bloom, magnolia is the one that jumps out the most to me. Towards the end is a nice amber smell that tops off the fragrance in the best way. What it's designed for is the nightclubs, and it fits that so well, lasts all day/night depending on when you spray it and the silage is good!

I have never like any Jlo fragrance.. but this one i love.. to me .. Yes it does smell a bit like Midnight fantasy.. but much better.. on my skin its not sickly sweet like MF .. its much spicier..its a very dark fragrance ..i can really smell the berries.. and somewhere i get a hint of floral..but not a lot.. the only complain i have about this fragrance is the lasting power.. its a bit short..but i can live with that!

I just picked this one up today as a blind purchase. I really seem to like the J Lo fragrances. I guess I am a cheap date as I have owned some extremely pricey perfumes years back and I seem more satisfied with the less costly ones. This is a very nice scent. Very sexy without overly being sweet or floral. I just really enjoy it what more can I say? :) Oh and it's affordable better yet!

Sweet, musky and a little sour, the red berries notes are very noticeable on this one. Very good for going out at a night. One of the bests from the Glow line and the staying power is good, but it is well projected in high temperatures, like the other glows (probably because it is an Eau de Toilette). Who likes Midnight Fantasy from Britney will like this one.

This perfume is insanely fruity! Most of the time all I smell is oranges from it though, nothing else! I bought it for my graduation a couple years ago, and just found it again. (I have a ton of perfumes and body sprays..) I really like it, but I just wish there was something I could smell other than oranges. Insanely sweet oranges. haha

This is a sweet delicious berry perfume. It is perfect for Summer nights! On my skin it is like mixed red and blackberries were dipped in coconut milk. I get pretty good lasting power out of it too. It is one of my favorites from JLO! Delicious!!!!!!!

This is really just another riff on Miami Glow or Sunkissed Glow, all juicy tropical fruits and flowers. That said, it smells fantastic and is well done if you like those fruity fragrances. The bottle's one of the best Glow flankers I think.

Why am I not getting any berries of any kind from this? Truly perplexing, I had to check I had the right one. A very pleasant soapy musk with a hint of jasmine, on me.

All i'm going to say is juicy fruits, thats all i can smell, but in a good way, cos i think its an amazing perfume to wear! x

A fruity shampoo smell, fun and casual, nice for summer. Strong staying power, even on a hot day.

Picked this up from tj max this weekend and i love it. very fruity and musky.

LA GLOW is rich with plum notes on first application, so if you don't like plum you can skip this fragrance. After a few minutes the blackberry and cherry develops, and mingles with the plum; however the plum is still the key note. I love perfumes which contain cherry so I was a bit disappointed to find that the cherry is the weakest note on me What really separates this edition from the earlier ones in the Glow line is that the floral notes are more fully developed and aren't 'powdery' or plastic. On me the jasmine is definitely the strongest note, followed by the peony. I couldn't separate the magnolia though. In addition to the florals there is also some lingering plum, as well as a hint of the coconut milk ['tropical cream] seeping up from the base. As the florals burn down the coconut milk accord fully develops and becomes richer, sweeter and creamier thanks to the amber. I can detect the lightest hint of musk, but it's quickly lost underneath the creaminess. As this is an EDT I didn't expect miracles and I was right not to: I can still detect creamy vanilla three to four hours after first applying it, but it's only a hint and is very close to the skin - It goes close to the skin as a whole in little over two hours. As this is light, sweet and juicy it seems like a playful fragrance. I think that this is nice for daywear - both 'me' time and work. Some people may think that it's too sweet for work, but as it's quiet it won't bother over people, so I don't see why you shouldn't wear it if you like it. However I do think it's too 'gentle' for evening wear, or any other time that you do want to be noticed. When I first heard about this edition I thought that it wouldn't appeal to me in this weather - I mean fruits and coconuts in autumn/winter? But the plums make the fragrance is rich and dark, which paired with the creamy base makes for the perfect autumn/winter fragrance. It'll be interesting to see how this wears during spring/summer - The base may be too heavy, but as the EDT is so light it could still be very wearable. I do still really like the original Glow, but the increasing number of flankers became too similar to each other and the line began to bore me. She has won me [and my purse] back again. LA GLOW bares no resemblance to either the original or the earlier flankers; The florals are fuller and more natural and the fruits are juicy and lifelike. A definite step up, although I'm not sure why they didn't just release it as a new fragrance rather than just attaching the Glow name to it. If you liked the rich plum notes in Midnight Fantasy, then you should enjoy this.

I haven't smelled many Jlo perfumes as only Live, Luxe and glow are available for where I live in Australia, so when I read this was like the older sister to Britney's Midnight Fantasy I had to buy it. In my opinion LA Glor is a more floral, juicier and more mature scent out of the two. When I spray this in the air or on clothing, I get a very sweet juicy blast of what could be described as crushed berries. You can also smell the plum (I'm not a fan of plum in perfumes, but this one doesn't take centre stage so I don't mind the plum note). The blackberry also provides a nice tart note that balances out the overall sweetness of the berries. On my skin, LA Glow has this boozy masculine smell, which smells way different to how it smells on clothes and sniffing the bottle etc. I get this really strong amber and musky plum. On me it does smel rather masculine and I have no idea why as it smells so different on my clothes. This scent is very soft and I'd say is more of a skin scent for me as i have to have my nose right on my wrist to really smell it and when I move my wrist away I don't really smell it anymore. I mainly wear this to bed or spray things around home with it since it's so soft. On me this only lasts a couple of hours, I haven't really worn it enough to say exactly how long it lasts but I'll be lucky to get more then 4 hours. This is a very casual scent and I'd say would be best work at night for a date or dinner or something that involves close contact. This could really be worn anytime during the year, but I reckon spring would be best. Can't say for sure as we don't get the seasons where I am, it's the wet and dry season as I'm in the tropics. I'll have to give it another smell in the colder more rainier weather.

This was a blind buy-- I bought JLo's LA Glow and Wild Glow at the same time. While I love LA Glow on my pulse-points, I discovered that it performs better on clothing and has some hope of lasting more than 2 hours when sprayed directly on your top. I love this scent. The plum, blackberry, jasmine, and amber notes are the most prominent. I don't really smell the cherry. I also (fortunately) don't get a loud blast of alcohol with the initial spray as I did with the Wild Glow. Someone described this scent as "playful" and I agree, but only on the first spray. When it dries down, it becomes something delicate, warm, creamy, clean, soft, and sweet. It's very safe to wear in most any environment including the office (given how quickly it dries down and disappears). You get what you pay for with JLo flankers. Lovely fragrances that you'll find yourself reaching for often, regardless of the season. I bought these perfumes knowing I'd use them in the cold weather, though many would use LA Glow in warmer weather. However, longevity is poor with moderate sillage. You'd need to carry the flanker or an atomizer to respray throughout the day. If you're like me and don't like to respray perfumes, you can safely do so with this fragrance. It won't transform into something unpleasant due to changing body chemistry throughout the day. Bottom line, I like this scent and will likely use it up fairly quickly. If you are super put off by perfumes that don't even last more than 30 minutes, this one is not for you. Not unless you are okay with multiple resprays or can find something else to layer it with.

I bought this based on reviews here saying it smells similar to Midnight Fantasy. This starts off as a very artificial tropical-berry scent, more of a sour berry than a sweet berry. Kinda soapy in my opinion. It smells nothing like MF at the start. However, after sometime when it has settled down, the middle and base notes start to come out, making LA Glow smell much more sweet and comforting. Yes now it starts to smell a little like MF. I could detect the similar dark sweet berries that were present in MF. At this point, it still smells a little soapy and sour, but not as much as before. Sillage is alright, lasts about 5 hours on me. I still prefer Midnight Fantasy over LA Glow. MF lasts the whole day and it just smells SO good. There is nothing exceptionally unique about LA Glow. I would not repurchase this after finishing my 100ml bottle. Also, the ring that comes with this is too big and chunky. In my case, some of the pink jewels on the ring fell out even before i opened the box. I could hear the loose jewel pieces rattling around in the box on the way home lol. I really wanted to like this. Its such a pity cause the dark purple bottle looks so pretty! Sorry J Lo, i guess i'll just stick to Midnight Fantasy. You can't go wrong with MF. :)

I like JLO and I fear she has lost the plot. When she first released perfume it was different and good quality for a celeb scent. Most people liked it and I can remember girls I knew saying Have you smelt the new JLO fragrance it is really nice. Now, it is just one perfume after another and they are all tropical and beachy but nothing really to take that next step. There is nothing wrong with tropical perfume but I think she really needs to try to do something a little more progressive now I know her fans could handle it. Maybe she just doesn't like perfume smell she prefers a shampoo, shower type of smell so that could reflect her decisions with the chemists when they are designing it for her. I just wish she would do something a little different because I fear she is just going to bore everyone soon. This LA Glow is nice it's not a bad perfume but it just smells like a billion other berry themed perfumes. And the lasting power is getting worse and worse as she releases more perfumes. I am not sure what is going on there it's just my experience with her perfumes maybe most other people really like them?

I got LA Glow, Still and Live from Marshalls yesterday (and my bottle of LA Glow did not have the disco ball charm on it. No big deal, but WTH right?) When I first spray LA Glow I get sour berries, kind of like a blue colored sour candy. It's not very sweet and it's kind of crisp. About 5 minutes after wearing it the soapiness sets in and I get a sour berry soap thing going on. At first I was a little unsure about this one, because it just seemed kind of tart and synthetic. On me this isn't very good for the first maybe 45 minutes to an hour (but neither were the other 2 Jlo's I picked up)But then last night after wearing it for a good while something interesting happened... I kept getting whiffs of something really pretty and I realized it was me! When this settles down it becomes soft and sweet (but not choke you sweet) I don't get much floral, I think I get a soft musky berry and maybe vanilla or amber. Now, to be fair when I bought these to try out I did spray Live on one arm and LA Glow on the other and after they both settled the wafts I got from them playing off each other was surprisingly fun.

I absolutely LOVE this!! LA Glow is sexy. Sexiness in a bottle! I excitedly got this in a swap and is my 9th JLo that I've got in the last month. Every JLo that I have I absolutely love. I can't wait to finish getting the rest of my collection. Im a big fan of fragrances with top notes of berries/plum, middle notes of jasmine/peony and bottom notes of vanilla/sandalwood/amber/musk. Britney's Midnight Fantasy and Ariana's SLC have a similar "recipe" as LA Glow. I love MF & SLC so I knew I'd love this. This is much more deeper and seductive This is boozy, syrupy berries and that sexy JLo musk. I get hints of the jasmine and the peony that adds some softness. The tropical cream and amber come into play with the musk. Oh how I love how JLo does musk. I sprayed this on almost 7 hours ago and I still smell it. So longevity is really impressive I definitely give LA Glow 10/10!!! If anyone has the matching body lotion for this or any other JLo's please message me!!

Preferences: Fruity, vanilla, watery, sweet, citrus (Will update) Perfume nose: amateur best season- summer, autumn day/night- night the age of the woman who wears it- 20's- early 30's the persona of the woman who wears it- socialite, assertive. Hello from new zealand! i have this scent and i like it, but i get a huge citrus presence especially i colder seasons and during the summer i get a cotton candy smell, i still like it however i do recommend you use this perfume sparingly as it can be bold. just a slight imbalance of those citrussy notes im getting from this otherwise it would be great! i think the bottle best describes the woman to carry off this scent. she's glamourous bold, light on the surface and then assertive. she has a presence and people scanning the scene will notice her!

Blind buy having confidence in Jennifer Lopez fragrances. Before knowing the notes I thought "wow that's a blast or berries!". That's exactly what came to mind a dark berry blend. Kind of like a smoothie vibe. I like it because I find it personally unique. I don't usually go for berry fragrances. She definitely does an amazing job at blending these notes. Nothing artificial or cheap chemical about it. It lasts past the dry down its berries from beginning to end. Deep enough to be a night time summer fragrance. Not to light yet not harsh. The annoying thing is the bottle I got was still wrapped up in its original plastic. The ring wasn't included. I don't wear them it just adds a little extra flare to the bottle.

I picked this up when I was in Toronto visiting my sister. Back then I could not find in the US anywhere. At first I liked it, but it's kind of boring to me. It's like one of those scents you reach for when you can't decide what to wear. When I wear this I don't get any compliments. Probably will add to my collection of ones to sell on ebay. I tend to prefer perfumes that make a statement or people say "wow you smell good, what are you wearing" It seems the only perfumes I get that reaction with out of my collection is Jessica Simpson Fancy Love, Chanel Coco M, and Ralph Lauren Light Blue. So far the only ones that ever get noticed..in a good way!

LA Glow smells like a shampoo. I like it! I love that moment when you take out your ponytail and you're engulfed in a nice shampoo scent from the shower that morning, and LA Glow is that feeling in a bottle for me. Still, I think that JLo took a bit of a leap from Glow, which (while 'soapy') is definitely a perfume, to LA Glow, (which could've easily been the scent of a purple Herbal Essences shampoo) and doesn't really feel like a real perfume... I love it; but I'm a fan of smelling like shower gel, laundry detergent, and shampoo. If you're hoping for an actual perfume, LA Glow might be a bit of a disappointment.

i like the fragrance. yes, somehow there are similarities with midnight fantasy according to the berry notes, nevertheless it is still different. this one is (at least on my skin) less sweet and definitely more tropical. i also get a coconut note even if it does not contain any. i think it is a nice berry-summer fragrance. the lasting power is really good, also the sillage. it is not very extraordinary, but i got this for little money, so it was definitely worth buying.

A girly, artificial fruity perfume done right. This is what I expected midnight fantasy fruit to smell like on me but midnight fantasy doesn't work for me at all and I get this disgusting cough syrup cherry. Easy to like, fun to wear, and doesn't give me that sticky feeling in my throat I get from certain artificial fruity/musky scents. I really do not like a ton of artificial berry scents....so I'm frankly a little relieved I found one that works for me!

Jennifer had kinda lost me with her two previous launches, My Glow and Blue Glow, but she's BACK in full force this year with L.A Glow and Love and Glamour. L.A Glow starts off really sweet like Cotton Candy and berries. It stays that way for about maybe 10 minutes and the cotton candy kinda fades and you're left with just fruity berries. I can't wait to get this! Thanks ILLLLOOVEEEPERFUME for sending me your bottles to test!

musky fresh berries:) it has that same ingredients as miami glow much toned down thou, strong plastic/metallic smell. It took me 3rd wear to stop linking it with miami glow which i dislike. this one lasts about 30 mins. and then becomes a very nice fresh fruity floral. I thought it lasted 3-4 hours but friends of mine can smell it half a day at least.; and off course I cake it on,lol

EdT: Ok/good. It reminds me of something by Escada mixed with Sensational Luxe Blossom by Celine Dion. The plum note in it seems to be more sweet than juicy. Prominent peony note. I'd say it's more sweet and floral than fruity. Unfortunately I didn't get a ring with it... Love the colour of the bottle: pink, cerise and purple. A loveable and usable fragrance but I'm not impressed.

It is an artificial smelling fragrance, It definitively isnt one you NEED to have,but its alright.Doesnt smell anything special,it is alright I blind bought this for $20 bucks at Sears and if I would have tested this beforehand I wouldnt have purchased. I can really smell the blackberry,plum and Cherry! I do not get any of the floral notes. Just Fruit!

This is a beautiful, clean, fresh, fruity fragrance for summer. It has the soapy JLo aspect, which is done with a light touch in this flanker. To me, this is less sweet and more floral than BS Midnight Fantasy. On my skin, it smells similar to Thierry Mugler Innocent Illusion. Longevity is pretty poor, but that's fine; I just keep spraying it on.

Opens with bright, sweet berries and a hint of plum. It's actually nose catching at first spray, very fruity and bright. Eventually the musk comes in and evens out the fruit, which turns into a sweet skin musk. Loud projection at first but fades quickly and stays close to the skin... Very affordable for a seasonal, fun, fruity new scent to try.

Sour opening that reminds me of Britney Spears Midnight Fantasy, its like I got whacked with a bush of cherries and blackberries. It becomes sorta creamy though after the drydown with a hint of magnolia and the amber warms it up! I like the drydown, not the opening! Tis a nice fragrance for a night on the town :)

I really love this one, it's very J.Lo, very glamour, n sexy... Please make some glow flankers more, J.Lo... i hope u make 2 more in 2011 :D

oh I love j-los perfumes! and I also adore MF by Brit! J-lo seems so very creative with her flacons, simple yet chic and pretty, accessories makes them look stunning. The ring is one of J-lo's merchandize in her Jlo line! I'll get this one and will definitely wear that gorgeous accessory ring :D

I like this, starts out with fresh juicy berries. As it dries down, the florals come through. Very pleasant and great for everyday use. I love the ombre effect on the bottle, very pretty.

I tried the lotion for this at TJMAXX and it smelled nice except for the fact that it smelled plasticky?! Does the perfume smell plasticky??

Wow, it's March in Minnesota and it's still winter but in the 30s temp wise. I just sprayed this and it's a full bodied cherry musk! Not cherry blossom flower, it's real cherry! The blackberry and plum just makes the cherry even more sweet and juicy. It's well rounded... Very well done. The exact cherry scent I've been looking for. I thought guess seductive red would smell like this but that just smells like straight up cherry chapstick. This is a Moschino cherry with a dash of sugar and musk💗. This is good stuff🥰 I don't know of any other fragrance that smells like this and I do have Fergie's outspoken intense and I don't smell any similarities to it and the only similarity this has to midnight fantasy is it's a dark jammy sweet night scent. I'm sure this doesn't smell the same in different temperatures and that's why others are not getting what I'm getting and I'm just glad I happened upon it while it's in it's season where it sings the best.

Soapy, sweet, light and kind of musky in this 60 degrees September weather. It's sweet and inoffensive but I prefer it in the late winter 30 degrees weather when the cherry and musk are out there with it!

Ok: I have to say this....: I am the non pickiest person ever. Such a push over and settle almost for anything. Not in perfume but almost in everything. I believe that there is so much beauty in this world,and nothing can be quiet ugly or smell 'that' bad. Now,here it goes: This perfume I received yesteday and I'm gonna do the impossible to swap it in some store in my town. I'm even willing to get a 50ml of ANYTHING than to have this 100ml of sour SOUR body spray. No personality at all. Dull to it's fullest. So strange saying this since the original glow is my signature scent next to White musk. Will update to tell you guys what else I got for this. :) Plus,the bottle totally fools you. It' s like a cat barking. Edit: This is what I received for the 2 L.A. Glow's I had. One of them was open. Plus,aone 'Sunkissed Glow'. All 100ml Open L.A.= 100ml Believe Britney Spears Wrapped L.A.= Original Glow Sunkissed= Circus Fantasy plus,i gave the guy 10 dollars extra on top. :) DANG!!!!!

I smell sweet, slightly smokey plum. I get all three top notes: blackberry, plum, cherry. The combination of musk and amber anchor it down. At first I didn't smell any of the floral. But they started to creep in after an hour. I could identify a little bit of peony and magnolia. Couldn't really smell jasmine. It's very fruity and sweet. But not a fresh scent. It's more fruity gourmand to me than fruity floral. Reminded me so much of Dahlia Divin EDT by Givenchy. They have the identical plum note. But Dahlia Divin is lighter and more candylike while this one is deeper and darker. A heavy scent. It lasts on me. But it gradually deteriorates over time though. I actually quite like the scent! I also love the ombre purple color of the bottle. :)
