Limitless

This is simply gorgeous. I instantly liked it. This is what the nearby woods smell like in late spring after the sunset, after the rain when there's high humidity and trees are in bloom, especially lilacs, black locust trees and lindens. Fresh woody herbs with peppery hints, new foliage, conifers, spring flowers and wet wood. Not earthy though, just herbal-floral-peppery balminess. I catch black pepper, ylang-ylang and jasmine, no obvious red apple though. There's something citrusy about it too, especially right after spraying. It scared me a few minutes after I sprayed it on my skin because it smelled mushroomy and synthetic but once it settles it's simply lovely and balmy. Fresh spicy, herbal and floral, slightly citrusy with very faint hints of vanilla and sandalwood in the background. It smells pretty authentic to me and I would have never thought that there might be a fragrance imitating this particular natural blend of scents that is so dear to me. Very impressive. Ylang-ylang brings oriental vibe to it and it's the note I'd mark as the most prominent in late drydown. On a paper strip, jasmine overpowers everything in almost suffocating intensity, then hours later strong ylang-ylang and peppery notes appear. Definitely test this on your skin before buying. On my skin, it's much more unisex peppery leaning, on a strip it's quite intense jasmine and ylang-ylang. Sillage is okay but it's too easy to wash off. One shower and the show is over. It lasts longer on my clothes and other surfaces where my wrist rubbed off. There's nothing powdery about it and I'd say it's rather fresh spicy than warm spicy. Thank heavens it's not musky either.

The delightfully authentic apple note is the first individual note to stand out on me - fresh & sweet. The combination of lemon & black pepper toughens up the apple and tones down the sweetness. A touch of patchouli also comes through and gives everything a slightly more masculine edge. The floral blend seems similar to One (which is pretty much the same as Promise imo); Jasmine and freesia leading the way, with orange blossom, honeysuckle and possibly magnolia in the background. I can't separate any ylang-ylang out of the creamy floral heart, as the lingering fruits, plus the fastly-developing woods and patchouli notes are stronger than the florals on me. You get the classic feminine base of sandalwood, musk and vanilla - comforting & soft. But then you get the same kind of tough & masculine jolt that happens in the top; the patchouli makes the woody blend slightly dirty, and the remaining black pepper combines with it for a heated spicy kick to the fragrance as it becomes a skin-scent. The longevity is very decent for a mass produced lower-medium priced edp; around 7/8 hours, with good projection. LIMITLESS was launched during the summer, but I think that it is definitely more suitable during the autumn and winter months, as is woody, smoky and has a rich patchouli note. I like the earlier perfumes of this line [Promise & One], but LIMITLESS is much more instantly appealing and is the only one that I'd describe as something that you definitely need to try ASAP, going by how often I've been reaching for it; so nicely balanced, and it just seems expensive.

I blind bought this from Chemist Warehouse today after reading some reviews here and there online. On first spray, it came over me as a predominantly and stereotypically masculine scent, woody with sandalwood and patchouli. I also get slight ylang ylang and musk, Egyptian jasmine is definitely there too plus I also get a hint of honey. Maybe because I got COVID (for the first time ever) a few weeks ago, I am not getting any red apple or lemon, much to my disappointment! I am a huge fan of sweet gourmand, fruity, citrusy and floral oriental chypre type fragrances. Think Olympea by Paco Rabanne, Amo Ferragamo, Sweet Tooth by Sabrina Carpenter, Glow by JLo, Maroussia by Slava Zaïtsev, Fantasy by Britney Spears, Princess by Vera Wang to name a handful. So, this fragrance is quite different to what I usually go for but I have to say I love Limitless because it is evoking memories from when I was young, it is very pleasant and warm with vanilla becoming more enhanced after a while of wearing it. I have decided to try and use more varieties of scents moving forward and experiment more. I might improve my brain and enhance my memories! Men should definitely consider to wear this too, I would summarise it as unisex, woody, spicy and warm.

If you liked JLo's Deseo (and are old enough to remember - LOL) you will most likely like this - a much more modern and much lighter version that is soft & powdery. It has just come out for AU$39 (on special at Chemist Warehouse), and I got the 100mL large bottle. So glad I did, because if you are used to stronger, longer lasting perfumes, you'll use quite a few squirts of it - and the bigger 100mL will be needed. It settles down into a soft, powdery smell within about 2 hours of wear, but retains some of those fresher fruit notes, so it doesn't just smell like baby powder. I am 100% in love, but if doubled in intensity it would be perfect. Limitless is a great fragrance - definitely my best find this year so far, the only drawback is the lack of staying power. Highly recommend.

I love the notes in this perfume absolutely. Unfortunately, it just has no staying power. I have used a LOT of the perfume this morning, just to see if more = better longevity, but sadly no. That said, if I want an initial hit with lingering subtelty, I would 100% choose this one. I feel the base & middle notes need to be stronger. I am a fan of J Lo fragrances, and would love to see Deseo (which has excellent staying power) made again, but unfortunately has been discontinued. This is reminiscent of a lighter, more modern & complex version of some of the notes that existed in Deseo. I live in a hot & humid environment, and I can easily wear this without feeling overwhelmed by the scent. I will definitely buy again.

YOU NEED TO LET THIS ONE SETTLE! I received a sample of this, and on first spray, I was like, 'Wow, no thanks From reading the notes, I was like, 'Oh my god, that sounds great...' and it is, but you really need to give it a moment to settle on your skin. Then, it's a woody-fruity smell, and I'm here for it. you can smell the crisp apple and citrus lemon and the wood tones, This is exactly what i wish Your turn by Billie Eilish did smell like, which I do like, but it's missing that subtle sweet hit that Limitless has, could definitely be an everyday wear to work perfume, <3

Can I just say: WOW! 😍 I just got this and sprayed it on my hand and this smells so beautiful, rich and seductive. This is an instant love. I'll give a better review after I have worn it a few times but for now I can say this smells fresh, deep and expensive. Sweet but not so much. Definitely not candy sweet. I can't compare it to anything. The red apple really comes through. Does not smell lemony at all (which I'm happy about) I'll give an update soon. In the meantime I for sure will order some more bottles! ❤️

Just purchased a 30ml bottle for like 20 dollars to try it out and I am impressed I mean for an affordable celebrity fragrance it's pretty good and man this projects. All the notes are well blended and smooth, this could be someone's signature scent for all year round. It's a tiny bit soapy clean, it's a little floral, a little fruity and a little woody, I love it for what it is. It doesn't smell exactly like gucci by gucci for women but it's in that genre with that patchoul note.

This is a deep, dark, mysterious heady fragrance. I'm surprised at how perfum-y this is for a Jlo fragrance. I can smell the spiced apple--even from the nozzle. It's very strong to my nose so it can be headache inducing. In the later stages is a dry (ylang ylang and palo Santo) texture, but the ylang ylang never disappears. It mixes with the patchouli to give limitless a slightly earthy feel. I personally feel this is her best release since Deseo, it last about 5 hours too.

If this had better strength and sillage it would be my number 1 fragrance. This smells bright, spicy and intoxicating. I’ve bought several bottles because i need to apply half a gallon each time i wear it. I’m surprised there isn’t more buzz about this. It’s a heady blend, opens with spicy apple and settles into a rich palo santo. The ylang ylang dances around between the phases. I love this a lot. Does anyone know anything that smells similar that has decent strength?

I got it as a sample from those tik tok advertisements, and I just wanna say: out of all of the many samples I’ve received this is the best one. I tried this in a shop a couple of weeks ago and it instantly smelled familiar, like a perfume I used to wear years ago. I believe that perfume is Monsoon Wild Lagoon, which was a surprise because I had been contemplating buying a bottle from eBay. I used to buy a bottle every month in the 90s and was really sad when it was discontinued, so I’m really happy to find this much cheaper option. I bought the 100ml bottle today, managed to get the last bottle!

Not a fan of celeb fragrances, however this is a very decent offering! Thankfully, the lemon comes through elegantly (it is not the fishy-type lemon you get in some citrus essential oils) and is paired beautifully with the red sweet apple note. Quite good longevity (6-7hrs) and lovely sillage. This is an all-day perfume that can be worn from office mornings to cinema evenings. Give this a try next time you are at a Superdrug store in UK (not sponsored).

I love intensely this whole series. This one is more mature, dark. It’s like the grass is fresh, it’s dark, the air is coming with the breeze from the lake and there’s cabin in these woods.

This packs a punch! Pepper, palo santo, patchouli it's such a heavy woody fragrance. Perfect for evening wear and dries down to a sexy woody floral. I love all 3 from this line 🤌🏻✨ 🌸

It's a very nice scent, it can be considered classy and unisex, I think it would be an addition to the collection.

I picked it up to try on a whim while shopping and had never used JLo's perfumes before, so I had no expectations. After spraying, I found the scent to be exactly what I like, and I could still smell it lingering the next day, which pleasantly surprised me. That's when I started looking up more information about it. When I saw that its main accords were woody, followed by warm spicy, patchouli, and musky, I knew it was likely to be a favorite of mine. So, the next day, I went back to the store and bought it, only to find out when I got home that it was a new fragrance from 2024. The balance of yellow floral, fresh spicy, sweet, and vanilla elements complements its overall performance very well. It might be more suitable for the winter season. I'll enjoy it thoroughly before this winter ends.

I tested this in the store. Did just one spray, halv landed on my wrist and half on my jacket - so to speak. It's an interesting combination, very woody and feels kinda serious. I usually don't like woody scents, also didn't perceive anything sweet. But for some reason, I think it could be a nice signature. Just woody, dark patchouli and a bit of florals. Leans more unisex, maybe even better on a man. I could still smell it the next day, so I guess it's good value for money. I might get a bottle.

This gives of a similar vibe like tease candy noir, which is an easy reach for night time. I'm impressed, the longevity is also great I can imagine the Hawk Tuah woman wearing this one on a night out, in her little black dress Thank you JLo for creating this beauty. I love this perfume

I got a sample from TikTok as well! I actually didn't think I was going to like it but this is actually really nice! Fruity and smoky. I love the smell of Poalo Santo and this is a lot fruitier and sweeter than the fragrance profile outlines above.

I feel like this perfume smells like the fragrance counter at a department store in the sense that it's quite pleasant but I have no idea what I'm smelling. Longevity is below average.

To my nose, this smells very similar to Calvin Klein Euphoria. I can't say how long it lasts because I smelt a sample in store.

Interesting scent. Was gifted this. The most prominent thing I get is a wet wheat note. Or like cooked and cooled barley. That softness of the wheat and barley being wet and cooked, not dry and hard, must be the velvet. Don’t think I’ve ever smelt that before. Besides the velvet, I don’t pick up on any of the notes listed. I’m surprised the top notes are pepper, apple and citrus, that would suggest a bright, zesty opening. This is so the opposite of that. More a slightly fresh, masculine leaning top, maybe dark berries but with that damp, velvet barley underneath. Mainly suited to an autumn day but kind of an all rounder really. I tend to use this only for outdoors. Projection and longevity very decent. I imagine walking in the afternoon, with faint light filtering through, through a damp forest that’s mainly green but Autumn has started. The air is holding onto some warmth, turning crisp the next day. (This is similar to one half of I’Interdit by Givenchy. The other half is Euphoria by Calvin Klein.) The colours of the bottle suit. Limitless is the wrong name for this. This is moody but comforting. Unusual in a good way. 🍚🌾🌳🍂🍁💧🤎💚

This should be everything I’ve been searching for & more, but it’s not. I guess that’s the cool thing about this art form. The late dry down is a wonderful spin on sandalwood but for the first few hours it’s too rich. I think mostly the pepper and ylang ylang? It’s definitely a respectable change from the usual sandalwood + unspecific sweetness combo in the feminine woody scent category but still misses the mark for me.

I had high expectations for this fragrance and the reviews seem to suggest a glorious fragrance. It isn't what I expected. It leans very masculine to my nose and is very heavy. Patchouli is a fave note for me, but it is too much with the palo santo and the sandalwood combo. Almost headache inducing. Next time I will not blind buy just on reviews alone. lol - 4/10

I just received a sample of this with an "online beauty discount warehouse" order. It's not horrible, but to my nose it's a weak ripoff of ELdO's Noel au Balcon...

Begins with juicy apple. Then the woods and patchouli and pepper kick in. Very sweet. Earthy and spicy and amber-y. If you like Opium, you might like this too.

This is a cold perfume with an overload of a chemical that smells similar to floralozone (marine, cucumber, green melon and green apple notes). Perfumers also use it sparingly to bolster lily and jasmine notes. Ergo, perfumers use floralozone to bolster some cool fruits and vegetable notes. Look, maybe I am being unfair but utilising iso butyl quinoline (simulated patchouli note) with a cucumber/melon note is really not great!!! I also really believe that the perfumer left out a lot of depth in this perfume. The perfumer then made the perfume worse by bolstering the white floral aspect with too much indole (smells like nappies, but is important in low doses for white florals). An introduction of a chemical vanillin note to warm it was not backed up with other warm notes, except for a chemical called iso e super (which is just a rounding off, amber note). Maybe I am being unfair. I just don't like cold perfumes.

This is mainly modern, fashionable aroma chemicals so I genuinely can't identify what it's supposed to smell like! It actually smells the same as Kate Spade NY Sparkle to me in that I just get an eye-watering, head-splitting sharpness, a bitter tarry smell and something a bit sweet and fruity. If you like Sparkle you'll think I'm mad and you should be safe with Limitless (although I doubt they smell anything alike to people who aren't bothered by these chemicals!). All the Jennifer Lopez perfumes in these bottles smell like chemicals but her older perfumes don't.

What’s with the drastic price gauging on this one?? $175 AUD for 100 ml for this perfume on FragranceNet?? They usually have pretty good deals... not with this one! And somebody else charging $172.59 AUD for just 30 ml of this!? EBay is also flooded with people drastically raising the price to heavily inflate their profits, too. Insane price-gauging on a celebrity fragrance. Not saying it can’t be a nice perfume - I’m curious to smell this one since the notes pyramid looks interesting and a lot more original than most releases. But in my experience, they’re typically not as high quality or long-lasting as designer fragrances. Yet they are charging designer house fragrance prices for this one. A 100 ml bottle of this costs $49 AUD when NOT on sale, at Terry White Chemist.

Smelled this at JC Penney. It smells like a woodier L’Eau D’Issey for women. I know there are no aquatic notes listed but there is something aquatic in this. The aquatic note blends nicely with the woods. Definitely genderless. I like it. A nice release from Mrs. Affleck.

This smells like a better version of euphoria. Spiced apple and apple with the skin. The pepper, the woodiness. This is so fckn good . If there were ever a perfume to wear on Halloween. , I'd imagine this to be that . This is perfect for fall and winter .

Very elegant, well blended and long lasting. Beautiful creamy sandalwood slightly smoked by palo santo, sweet but not too sweet ylang-ylang. It indeed has something velvety in the background. Little bit clean as well. Just amazing, considering the price

Worse copy of pepe jeans celebrate. Celebrate is a bit more complex. Notes listed for both fragrances are different but scent is very similar. Celebrate leans more gourmand and in j.lo I really get the apple but no salt notes.

My bottle arrived just in time for spooky season, and I’m loving it. Incense, vanilla, spices, and sweet florals—very mysterious and exactly what I was looking for. It is a bit perfume-y and mature, but not overly so.

It's the better of this last series with this bottle. Smells like glamping to me. I foresee a revenge or breakup perfume coming down the line next year hahahah.

This perfume should be getting more attention. It's one of her best perfumes.

A nice patchouli fragrance, so creamy and woody. The best one in her line.
