Live Platinum

A surprisingly complex, more sophisticated fruity-floral. My goodness I was surprised at how much this fragrance grew on me. At first blast this was sharp, fresh and fruity, and admittedly a little screechy as I was not expecting it to present itself that way being a previous user of the Live and Live Luxe. I was immediately reminded of (gasp!) the beloved/dreaded infamous Giorgio Beverly Hills. Upon checking, I see that they have 6 notes in common, and being that Live Platinum only has 10 notes I can see how I may have picked that out.... WAIT! DON'T RUN AWAY! This becomes gorgeous. The grapefruit is clear, fresh and vibrant. I wish the marzipan was more evident to my nose but I know it's in there, giving a smoother, more mellow feel. The florals offer a lovely balance to the very prominent grapefruit, the rose especially I can pick out. This is delicious, crisp, vibrant and makes me happy. It's rather unique, and I really wish there were more options to buy (cream, etc) but alas the beauties are often limited or discontinued, such as this one. Towards the drydown there is an hour or so that it reminds me of a very fresh clean laundry detergent smell. This is *not* a bad thing, in fact I rather enjoyed it. Who doesn't want to smell clean and fresh? The very tail end of the drydown is the same white musky/amber/vanilla as in other JLo's, mind you the grapefruit does remain throughout. This is fine, complimentary to the fragrance as a whole, and it does take it's time getting there. Good quality for the price. Headache risk: Moderate but entirely worth it. Use with a gentle hand and discretion in the workplace, on a sunny day, or any time you'd like a sunny, pretty pick-me-up.

LIVE PLATINUM is similar to the original Live at first spray, but the citrus notes have been played down and mixed with sweeter plum notes. I love how the sweet and the sharper notes have been blended together for a jolty contrast, making sure that the fragrance doesn't learn either way too far. LIVE PLATINUM also contains a floral heart. Like Glow, there is a sharp fresh vibe in the floral notes to give the fragrance a fresh, icy jolt of energy. But this time there is Christmas rose for a hint of powderiness, and the marzipan also develops and adds a nutty sweetness to create a 'come closer' appeal to things. The gentle base is the same as the original Live, but the musk, vanilla and amber is slightly more noticeable here as the marzipan mixes together with the notes and gives them a bit more strength. The base gives the last few hours of LIVE PLATINUM a warm feel. I think LIVE PLATINUM has the edge over Live as it is easier to wear. I still really like the spiciness of the original, but the contrasts in this between the sweet & warmth, versus the freshness appeals to me more. It's a shame this is a limited edition, I wish I'd bought more bottles for backups when I saw it in the US a few years ago. I'll have to haunt Ebay for it in the not-too-distant future...

I was elated to find this for $19! I blind bought it and was so happy when I smelt it at home. If snow had a scent, this is what I imagine it would smell like. Soft, sweet & luscious. The marzipan is what stands out to me, it's almost like baking sweet Christmas goodies on a cold, rainy day. It's interesting to have a winter scent that is a fruity-floral. Usually you'll have a floral or musky-woodsy composition, but this is unique in that sense, and works well. The rose & plum give it a warmth & depth, whilst the grapefruit keeps it fresh. I love how it still has JLo's signature 'soapy' scent in there too. The bottle is gorgeous and it's a cute little charm for your Christmas tree that comes with it. Glad I blind bought this one!

this is a autumn/winter scent. I've tried it in warmer weather, but it doesn't have the same energizing rush and is quite cloying i guess . live platinum is containing a floral heart. It seems 'warm' and comforting to me. Very well done balanced between freshness and warmth.. The bottle is the same as original Live, but it's prismatic (similar to the way patrol shines varying shades in the light) with frosted blue, green, gold & lilac, plus it has a cute snowflake charm around the bottle neck in a feminine touch .. i do LUVE it

Live Platinum, oh how I am so happy you were created! This is by far my most prized fragrance in my collection! It's absolutely beautiful! I can smell no resemblance between this and the other "Live" perfumes. To me this is a very complex and well made perfume! I get all notes, and all three transitions! It's definitely a winter scent, but I could see people wearing it during any season! It's just a beautiful floral fragrance! The marzipan adds a little candy sweetness that I love in this fragrance! The rose is soft and inviting! The bottle is beautiful, and the charm is adorable! I would recommend this to anyone and everyone! I think a must have in any collection!

Wow! I love this because all of the notes melt together to contribute to one of the richest, most full bodied fragrances that I have ever had the pleasure to wear on my skin. This is nothing like any other JLO perfume. It is not too sweet, and yet you can pick out the plum, and marzipan, but none of the notes ever overpowers, and none of them stands alone. It is a very sophisticated scent, a bit more serious and grown up than other celebrity scents. I see how this is more of a winter scent, since there is something in it that brings to mind a holly berry note. Anyway, it is a lovely, classy fragrance for someone who doesn't want to smell like a gourmand dessert.

I am smelling it now The Bottle : the desgin is so lovely I loved the colors on the bottle and the bottle shape too... of course the snowflake charm is so suitable and it is adding a nice touch.(10/10) The perfume : is fresh sweet, not sugar syrup sweetness it is more fresh fruity floral sweetness which they are mixed so good with great harmony ... It is not gourmand perfume , it is soft tender , if i want to describe it correctly , it is Christmas in the bottle , suitable for winter day after a heavy rain/snow... actually it is very good perfume.as a gift (10/10)

I love this scent!! And something does make it smell icy! In the opening I definitely smell the plum the Orangeblossom which I dig in a couple of j lo scents :) along with the rose! The drydown is slightly cedar- musky for me :) this scent is sweet but not strong. I see myself wearing it for the winter. It's refreshing that's why I am wearing it right now on this hot day. It just works! I already bought myself 2nd bottle! Yaa

I love this perfume :D When I saw this perfume for the first time it was lonly at the end of the JL perfume in a corner I though that the perfume will not smell good, but it did smell good, very good! It was small and not in every store I could find it. I can't understand that nobody I know have this perfume, they have'nt even seen it. This is one of my top perfumes :D <3

I miss this one so much ! 🖤❄️ I remember spraying it on my sleeve at the store 15 years ago and could still sense in several days later, I had to get it. This is winter to me, I got it on a winter and it smells like a fairy winter wonderland 🧚🏻☃️ I loved this one, beautiful ethereal scent. Bring it back pleeeease ❄️

This is the only thing that doesn't make me miss the summer. It's that great! The entire collection from Jennifer Lopez is awesome. It's all about quality. I love it. Love her. Enjoy people!

this perfume reminds me of light blue...definately a winter perfume...like most of JLO's perfumes, doesnt last long...smells really nice though a differnet than all her other pefumes..

This is a very beautiful perfume. It reminds me of Pleasures from Estee Lauder. I really like it! The bottle is gorgeous too. Great for any collection.

Live Platinum is a floral-fruity with a huge dose of grapefruit, but the underlying sweetness is oddly nutty and creamy. I suppose that's the marzipan playing its role; however, the marzipan isn't something I can necessarily pick out individually. Either way, the creaminess seems to tame the citrusy aspect as well as give a nicely added twist. I really don't know if I should call this sparkly or comforting, it's a mixture of both. Platinum definitely has the winter, cold weather feel. I didn't expect to enjoy Live Platinum as much as I do, especially since I did not like the other two in the Live collection at all. I honestly don't even know what it is I like so much about this one, besides the adorable bottle and snowflake charm(!), but I have to say it, this is on my love list. It will probably work well in the spring, too. Longevity and projection are both moderate on me. Update: Easily wearable all year round. It's about 80f degrees here and it still works. I'd like to buy the Rio Glow version (which is said to be the same scent only cheaper and easier to find) to wear when the weather turns scorching.

This has a very lemony citrus vibe. A departure from J Lo's warmer perfumes of the past. It definitely has the sweet marzipan which is bizzare for JLo but never mind. It doesn't last anywhere near as well as her other ones. It is in the same vain as D&G Light Blue, Anna Sui Secret Wish, Mariah Luscious Pink. It is citrus but musky as well. Inoffensive but can be difficult to find. I like it and I would use it again but I don't see it very often in Australia so I could take or leave it because I already have Luscious Pink by Mariah and Secret wish so I wouldn't need to bother. If you like those perfumes you may like this one it would be similar though if you already have some citrus perfumes kind of a waste of time.

Last year this was my favourite winter fragrance. At first I could hardly smell it, it seemed too light, later (perhaps as the weather got warmer) I could smell it stronger. I am quite attracted to the plum, grapefruit and marzipan notes. Maybe this scent creates the same nice feeling in the winter, as Miami Glow creates in the summer. (I don't know that one, though I'm really curious, it's so much praised.)

i am really looking forward to experienceing live platinum. the notes sound very intriging and the original live happens to be one of my all time favorites. it will be interesting to see how the notes work with one another. i cant wait to see the bottle in person. the live bottle is just one of the most interesting,fun,and beautiful bottles i own.

Well, I love the bottle so much but the scent is something like ice flake from the refrigerator. I smell something like peach also which makes me feel sick everytime I wear this. The lasting power is too good for me. As time passed, the smell is stronger and stronger. I didn't feel the flower notes at all, only ice and peach.

This is quite pretty. It starts out with a burst of citrus which then calms when the flowers come through not long after and then it warms up a little when it dries down. It's not a head turner kind of fragrance and will probably not attract many compliments (it's quite light) but it does have a nice vibe.
