Miami Glow

Miami Glow by Jennifer Lopez is not just a perfume, it is a real summer "mood" in a bottle. Although twenty years have passed since its launch in 2005, it still remains one of the pillars of "celebrity" perfumery for its ability to evoke a specific atmosphere: a party on the beach at sunset. The Opening: A freshly sprayed Tropical Cocktail, the explosion is vibrant. Passion fruit and pink grapefruit give a sparkling and almost acidic freshness, which is immediately softened by the coconut milk. It's not a "food grade" or heavy coconut, but it's very reminiscent of the smell of a luxury sunscreen. The heart: Floral Sweetness when the top notes fade, the floral soul emerges. Orange blossom adds a solar cleansing, while heliotrope gives a slightly powdery, almond shade. The cyclamen remains in the background, giving a touch of aquatic freshness that prevents the fragrance from becoming too cloying. The Bottom: Warmth on the Skin The finish is the "Glow" part. The combination of amber, musk and vanilla creates that "sun-warmed skin" sensation. It is a soft, sensual and enveloping base that persists for several hours. It is the scent of freedom, holidays and amber skin. It smells like summer, pool parties and expensive suntan lotion. For an eau de toilette, it has a surprising duration and a strong sillage. It stands out without being intrusive. Perfect for those who love sweet-exotic fragrances but are looking for something with a clean touch. Miami Glow is a "low cost" classic that never goes out of fashion. If you love the smell of coconut and want to feel like you're on holiday even in the city center, it's an almost mandatory purchase. It is less "serious" than the parent Glow, but decidedly more energetic and carefree.

Never been to Miami(& struggle to Glo at 45) and assumed this would be a barrage of tropical flowers blitzed into a screachy coconut cocktail but was taken aback how pretty and unique this is... Opening notes are lovely but dont stick around and dies down to a clean, shampoo, soap, shower smell... I've often complimented women on their perfume over the years only to be told they're not wearing any? and got told "Oh it's probably my shampoo & conditioner, I washed me hair this morning" I've even asked what brand and gone out to buy it... This is a perfume that doesn't say IM WEARING PERFUME! like most perfumes scream... You potentially may not get compliments with this as it smells like you just keep your sht together at home ie. On top of your laundry, showering, house clean, use tumble dryer sheets, wash hair regularly, iron with starch, take your vitamins...etc and I love that, espc at work for example... You don't want to come off like you douse yourself each morning in lady flowerbomb cocktail fruitbowls... You're bigger than that, you've got it together and you don't need perfume to be a woman cause that's old fashioned and girly

My son received a bath bomb making kit as a gift. After we had made some bath bombs there were some leftover powder and scents and it smelled so good that I stored that leftover in a bag under my bed so that whenever I got into bed that smell would permeate my area. When I blind bought Miami Glow I had no idea what to expect but for the price and the furor I heard about this scent I thought why not. Received and smelled and boom my first whiff was a blissful moment. So familiar but for a second I couldn't place what I knew this from. Then suddenly realized it was pure bath bomb kit :) My nose can't distinguish the fruity notes listed but yes to the clean fizzy bathbomb scent! Beautiful, this is now in my top five out of around 50 scents I have. It fits an empty spot I had for a perfume that is great in any occasion. I now work from home but if I still went to the office this would be my work scent. Not at all boring yet not offensive to anyone I believe, just clean yet a bit fanciful and eclectic. Can't go wrong with this!

this perfume screams HOT SUMMER NIGHTS. oh my lord i remember buying this way back in 2005 and falling in love with the scent and being absolutely shocked that it was a J. Lo fragrance because it seemed too "elevated" of a scent (i don't care for Jennifer Lopez). i can't praise this perfume enough. it's warm, cozy, sexy, and nostalgic as all hell. i did not care for her regular GLOW perfume (offensive and old lady smelling), but THIS, this is just so incredible. i almost fell over when i saw that it's STILL being sold and even more surprised that it doesn't seem to have been reformulated in any way. this perfume is waaaaay under-priced in my opinion but i'm happy i'm able to get it as such a great price. one of the most beautiful scents i've ever smelled (only behind the original Victoria's Secret Heavenly perfume and the original Body By Victoria perfume before they completely butchered both versions). :(

I wore this perfume faithfully every summer in my 20s, which was fitting, seeing as how Miami Beach was a favorite destination back then. I am now 40 and recently came across it after 10 years not wearing it, and thought, "why not?". It smells every bit as glorious as ever. Something about this scent dries down perfectly on my skin and works well with my body chemistry. It also lasts forever on me. The initial spray is still a bit forward with sweet coconut and grapefruit, but I primarily smell orange blossom as well. It starts out aggressively fruity and sweet on me, but dries down to a more sultry blend of a clean but complex scent that I can't quite pin down. Maybe the musk and heliotrope? I just love it still after all these years, and get compliments every day. For me, a little of this goes a long way.

I bided this on ebay about a week ago and they still haven't shipped it, I'm a bit impatient so I'm just gonna buy it in store and update if I like it or not and what i think Update: I didn't up buying it at Walmart , (thank goodness) it came in the mail 2 days later, i like it! A bit tropical and soapy a bit different to the original glow but has that soapiness from the DNA just no powderiness I get the passion fruit and coconut but my only complaint is that it's lacking a little bit of that coconut note in it but I still really Iike it and the bracelet charm that comes with it is so cute, as the person said above me it reminds me also of the softsoap coconut bar soap but in a perfume , overall it's a clean and soapy tropical just don't expect this to be super coconuty or tropical

I'm starting to learn that I tend to like fragrances by Caroline Sabas. I think Miami Glow smells like going on vacation to the beach, that moment when you first arrive, tired from traveling but excited about the fun time you'll have, and you open the door to your hotel room, put your luggage down, take a deep breath, and RELAX. It's an oddly aggregated, generalized tropical smell -- I don't get a distinct coconut note from it, for example. It just smells like everything beachy mixed together, and it is gorgeous. It's clean and soapy too, like all of JLo's fragrances. Also, I would bet that my husband, who can't stand perfume at all, actually likes this fragrance, though he wouldn't admit it. It's very sexy, and he is extra huggy and affectionate when I wear it.

I don’t know why there are so many negative reviews on this fragrance because it is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! It smells soapy, musky, sparkling, fruity.. It almost smells like bubbly champagne. It smells like walking into your hotel room on vacation and breathing a sigh of relief; knowing you can relax and not worry about anything during this time. It smells like a fun day by the pool with the hot summer sun beaming down on you while you lay back on your pool chair basking in the heat. This smells refreshing, clean, and carefree. This smells like sunshine and happiness in a bottle. THE GIRLS THAT GET IT, GET IT.. AND THE GIRLS THAT DONT, DONT. This is an amazing fragrance and I will be buying a backup bottle because I never want to be without this smell.

This is a very nostalgic perfume even though I have never used it before. Honestly just smelling it makes me remember the most beautiful summer days I have ever had. It's like they put the sun inside of a cocktail. And you carry that smell on you. I don't know how people don't like it honestly. It's a very chill scent, makes you feel like the independent girl in the beach. The longevity is crazy to me. Since I had lot of summer perfumes before and they never matched my skin chemistry properly. But this one just did the thing. I took a shower and the perfume was still on me, which happens so rarely for a very cheap perfume like this. Definitely would repurchase just to use it over and over again in the summer whenever I'm sunbathing in Greece.

This was my jam back in high school, I don't know how many bottles I went through of this (after it first came out, I can't attest to any new reformulations). Tropical, coconut, fresh? Definite yes. Soapy? I can see that for some people. The charm ankle bracelet was super adorable as well, the whole bottle was perfect for the era. Overall it was great fresh/tropical celebrity perfume and if I saw one at the store today I'd but it purely for nostalgia's sake and not regret it one bit. Edit: I found it at Wal-Mart, sprayed it when I got home and it's still fantastic, I'm overjoyed they still make this! A bit more soapy than I remember, but that may calm down after it sits for a while. Purchased from: Wal-Mart, original version- Kohl's

The reviews scared me - I didn't want this to be a laundry/soapy scent - and thank goodness my bottle has none of that. (I wonder if the batches are inconsistent, or it's a unique olfactory perception thing?) Mine smells like sunscreen, coconut, and warm sun. If Bronze Goddess is an upscale resort in Tahiti, this is spring break in Cancun. And I mean that in the best way possible. This is warm skin, a fresh manicure, pink flip flops, Corona with lime, poolwater, and tan lines. This is a sexy, ready to party, slightly naive but fun loving, ride or die for her girlfriends. Hoes before bros. This is young, fun and dumb, in the best way. Turn the music up and do another shot. This is making bad decisions, and having no regrets. LOVE.

I purchased this fragrance in 2005 the year it was released. I was a 20 year old college student. My boyfriend purchased this fragrance and Carolina Herrera 212 Sexy for me while we were in Cancun on vacation. Both memorable fragrances. Seriously, this is the ultimate SUMMER fragrance! This perfume screams SEXY, FUN, SUMMER NIGHTS but it's versatile enough for year round wear. Every time I wear it I think of clubbing in Miami with friends, traveling, and college times. I'm 38 now and this fragrance will forever be associated with the best times of my life. I just bought a bottle on Amazon for $26 and I've been wearing it all day and my mood has been instantly lifted. The longevity is a beast!! It lasts 8 hours easy!

I love Maui Fantasy so I wanted a perfume that smelled similar since that one has been discontinued. I read Miami Glow smelled similar so I gave it a try. To my surprise they smell almost indentical. Maimi Glow is a little more soapy but, I don't mind that. It's such a beautiful scent, I get so many compliments when I wear this by everyone. It smells icy, fresh and sweet. I get orange blossoms the most, particularly the sweet aspect of that flower.The coconut milk is very subtle, but it's there. It feels like it's hiding behind the orange blossom. A little hint of vanilla and very little, barely there passionfruit. Overall this is a spectacular fragrance I wish I would of tried sooner. A win, I can't get enough.

This was my HG summer scent all through high school and my 20's and I assumed it was discontinued and gone forever and I searched high and low for dupes or anything similar, (I don't care what others say, there's not!), until I found it on FragNet a few years ago and I was ecstatic! This is a solar, sandy, coconut scent. You get a little bit of those fruity notes but they are only there to support the creamy coconut, and it has this sexy powdery, ambery base. It's the PERFECT summer scent. It's not too sweet, it has decent lasting power. Nothing will ever de-throne this for me as the best summer fragrance. I'm a lifer!

Easy blind buy! I always saw this perfume at walmart and thought it just looked corny from the outside. The box is a little dated. But I heard some good things about it and decided to try it because it was only like 25 dollars. I honestly really like this smell. I like that it's beachy but not coconut (I honestly don't smell). Its super fresh and tropical and I like to layer it with salted muse by orabella. Together they make me feel like a mermaid in an authentic esoteric way. Projection is good and longevity is pretty mid but the bottle is super cute. Honestly just good to have. Good for a lot of occasions.

Ok,so I blind buy this perfume because of YouTube reviews .All reviews described this scent like tropical,coconutty juicy fragrance and I’ve go straight to ordering 😂and when it’s came,the first spray I was like naaah this isn’t tropical or fruity at all.I only smell musk and soapy notes....I was so disappointed ....and I put this perfume at the shelf and forgot about it for like one year. Now I tried it again and OMG!Its straight up juicy tropical bomb😍I understand now all this hype.LET IT AGE and you will not regret it)on my way to ordering back up of it 😁

This has been my favorite summer fragrance since the year it was released - so going on 20 years. I just got a new body spray a couple of weeks ago to ride out the end of summer with. I love the perfume and the body spray, but the spray is a little more on the "clean" side that people mention. Still has that MG DNA, though. I've tried other things in the past 20 years but nothing seems to compare to this for me. It just evokes happiness and warm summer sun. It is not listed anywhere that I have noticed but I get a hot sand vibe from it, too.

such a perfect clean and juicy scent!! a genuine love for me. it's sweet and joyful, it's not too coconutty which i appreciate, i mostly get the passion fruit, the grapefruit and the florals, and a whole lot of orange blossom. i agree that it has a very soapy, laundry detergent quality to it but it's so refreshing, like a quick shower on a hot summer day with a bar of white soap it's so invigorating. it just makes me so happy whenever i wear it!! 10/10, an easy reach and an absolute pleasure to wear

This was kind of a blind buy at Marshalls. I did smell the sprayer but didn’t try it on because I had already sprayed a bunch of other ones on me. I didn’t put it on until I got home. Went to leave and got in my elevator and had someone immediately comment on it. I really like it. It’s definitely soapy but I like soapy scents. It’s also fruity and floral. Smells so good. Thankfully there’s no strong coconut scent because I hate coconut. Definitely a good buy!

This is fresh, warm, sweet, milky, solar. This smells like milky coconut skin, sunscreen, dewy fresh pink flowers, juicy fruits with a hint of vanilla. It encapsulates summer in a bottle. I remember purchasing this for $35 just to walk away with a purchase but I was not expecting to fall in love with this scent. It sits beautifully on my skin. It's a scent I no longer gravitate towards to primarily but I will keep coming back to. Beautiful, sultry scent.
