Ambra

Okay, this is exactly the opening of my pre formulation layton. The almost minty citrus geranium combo is what is now missing from the new layton. This then has the vanilla hit which has a combo with the other notes that has a very Ivory Route Xerjoff vibe. It is definitely the Geranium that is giving the beautiful jarring note that keeps you coming back to smell it. I could wear this all day long all year I wouldn't be worried about a spray or two in summer as the vanilla is not the most dominant note. Having said that previous reviews are right in that more than 5 sprays would be too much for any season as it will hang thick around you. If the wind picks it up from you the sillage will be amazing and it will at least project an arms length as the test patch was initially on my hand, further than that couldn't say. After proper wear it will creep in and out of your nose as it's hard to go nose blind to the geranium. The greenish tone to this is what sings to my heart and it will probably stay in my collection for as long as I can. Value for money, $140 aussie dollars for 30ml, but price per amount needed for a wear is massively in your favour. Highly enjoyable 9/10

Ambra was a "I can hear the angels singing!" experience the first time I tested it: a show-stopping fragrance for me! I've come to adore 'amber' perfumes (funny I had to come around to ambers, as it's my name and I love perfume, but it's taken time and maturity to warm up to them), but have yet to have an amber in my collection. Ambra is a sweet, balsamic, warm and rich, very friendly amber with excellent longevity and nice sillage without being overpowering at all, despite being an extrait. I really can't explain why I haven't bought this yet other than there are just TOO many choices these days, but this amber is at the top of my list to join my collection. The Jeroboam's I love, I REALLY love: Unue, Ambra, Gozo and Insulo are all incredible, original and well worth exploring. Their art deco-ish bottles are also divine! Ambra is a beautiful, sweet rendition of amber and I can't wait to purchase this stunner. Vanina Muracciole is a brilliant perfumer!

This is my first perfume from this brand and honestly I am so happy. I have couple of more on my wish list from jeroboam. I have not heard many ppl talk about it and I cant understand why. So, about the fragrance, It smells kinda minty to me in the opening which settles into true amber scent. For the most part it is that balsamic amber scent but in the dry dry down like after 5-6 hours it starts smelling clean musky to me. Even though the scent is warm Ambery, I get sort of clean scent throughout the wear of the perfume, which makes it appropriate for all seasons imo. About the longevity, It is quite long lasting (10+ hrs) however, sits closer to the skin. Normally, I don't get any comments on my perfumes from my husband but when I wore this one, He said my perfume keeps rubbing off on him and he can now smell it everywhere, on desk, on laptop, on his clothes. That should tell you about the longevity of this fragrance.

Criminally underrated, this frag is quite good on its own and deserved an average of 4.2/5(avg Fragrantica rating) if not 4.5/5. However, when one factors in price and projection the score and value will increase. The smell on its own is sweet, spicy, slightly smokey, certainly sophisticated and I can see the Tauer comparisons. Since, Jeroboam believes in layering frag's as all frags have their musk (stand alone fragrance) as each frags DNA - This can be layered beautifully. With Oud, it will create a sweeter smokier oud, with a vanilla it will create more depth. So this is a must try for all fine fragrance lovers and could be a nice addition to any wardrobe that needs a staple amber frag.

One of those instant loves for me! Totally biased, this kind of fragrance is all I want in life right now ( and every fall and winter)! Rich, dark, intense, warm, sweet ambers, resins, patchouli, balsams, incense, vanilla and tonka. A gourmand, incency, patchouli! That’s exactly how I love to smell like during the cold weather. And Ambra is a spectacular example of this genre of perfumery. And it’s strong and long lasting. Perfection in a bottle! Goes straight to my to buy list, together with Insulo. Can’t decide which I like more, there are both spectacular creations! Divine!!!

Jeroboam Ambra is L’Air du Desert Marocain in extrait concentration. Or Ambre Fetiche in extrait concentration if you will. Maybe a little bit less dry then LDDM, yet very dry and a little camphorous. Gorgeous presentation. 10/10, but redundant if you have other heavy ambers like the aforementioned. --- Edit: 12/02/21 - let ́s add a surprise element (surprise, sure, did I read the name of the perfume?): It has that borderline salty/musky feel in the heart and drydown - is it ambergris (ambrox)? There’s some resemblance to Ambra Nera by Farmacia SS Annuziata, but less sebaceous.

Raquel73 Maybe you should stop sniffing your grandfather's armpit as it has really clouded your sense of smell. Ambra from Jeroboam is simply a masterpiece. The ambra accord in this perfume is out of this world! And the scent is so unique, sensual, and so complex, that I cannot stop smelling it on myself. This is the true meaning of a niche perfume. Also, 100% unisex and incredible performance. My 3 P's - Projection 7/10 - Performance 8/10 - Price 7/10

I love this line from Jovoy. All are great and special. I had four already and got this one today and, wow, it is a stunning scent! So deep and gorgeous! it is also the one that pops out the most in terms of projections at first spray as compared to the others. It does go into the territory of LADDM from Tauer but is more subtle and more refined, i would say. Love it!

great job Vanina Muracciole😍😍😍😍 love amber scents and this is at the top of the list. Always liked 02 L'Air du Desert Marocain Tauer Perfumes and think it takes amber to another level and it's not as dry as Andy Tauer

Layer this with Initio Psychedlic Love and you will smell like a really skanky sexy whore that no one will be able to resist! Its INCREDIBLE!

Great ambari sugari balsamic vanilla fragrance that last for a long time. Highly recommended for Amber lovers.

It’s been a long time since I bought a fragrance the very next day after just a first impression, without testing it in detail. Considering my collection and the hundreds of scents I’ve experienced, this is something truly different and captivating, unlike anything else I own. Its performance is around 10 hours, creating a noticeable scent cloud around you. When I saw the 30 ml bottle on discount, it turned into a great purchase for me. If I had to give examples, the Peru balsam note slightly reminds me of Givenchy Society Ambree, and the dry amber character also brings to mind Andy Tauer’s LDDM. They are definitely not similar, but compared to LDDM, this feels like a softer, slightly sweeter interpretation thanks to the vanilla.

Very sexy fragrance. For amber lovers. Warm and comforting scent. Perfect for fall and winter, very cold days. I do not like incense and here, I cannot detect this note. Complex, with an excellent sillage and longevity. 9/10

Very unique amber, as its overlayed with a sweet fruity and minty accord that is quite unusual. High quality blend, might well be FB worthy.

From the name, I was expecting an amber-focused fragrance. Should have checked the notes. Someone said it resembles Ambre from Reminiscence - it does not - that "amber" fragrance is an aldehydic-chypre perfume. This actually is comparable to Patchouli from Reminiscence in the beginning, but Ambra is smoother. Patchouli from Reminiscence has quite a sharp patchouli scent, and it stays like that throughout the wear time. Ambra is rounded of with Peru balsam as the next strongest note. When this dries down fully, there is something ambery in the background, but it's still mainly patchouli. The rest of the notes blend together and round out the patchouli to a mildly sweet, chocolaty, slightly fresh-ambery scent. Now it's only about 50% of the strength of the patchouli. Then this develops further, into a honey-amber with some patchouli in the background. At the same time it reminds me a little of Organza Indécence by Givenchy, which is a cinnamon-fragrance. From here and until it disappears, it's quite similar to Organza Indécence. Overall, it's an interesting perfume that changes several times during the wear time. It's pleasant and warm. Just don't expect an amber-focused fragrance, or you will be disappointed; be open-minded with this one. Not my kind of perfume, bur good for someone who likes patchouli.

It's a decent amber fragrance, not bad. But not the greatest either. I would like it more if it was less sweet.

PLEASE DO NOT BLIND BUY THIS FRAGRANCE! Let me preface this by saying that I ordered a sample fully aware of its unusual scent profile. I was hoping for a unique, sensual fragrance—a warm and deep sweetness with hints of floral and fruit. Incense, tonka, and vanilla are some of my favourite notes, and I believed the other notes would work together to create a beautifully complex scent. I was very much mistaken. The opening of this perfume was like a flashbang to my nostrils. The patchouli note came through strong, and I immediately picked up on a strange minty note that I could only describe as similar to one of those nasal sticks you shove up your nose to clear your sinuses. It smelled weirdly medicinal and continued to do so, even in the less abrasive drydown. The drydown brought out a sweeter (although not that sweet, in my opinion), musky amber. It was more bearable at this point but still held onto that strange herbal medicine scent that I just could not get over. Overall, the opening was absolutely shocking, and it smelled the best to me only once it had completely dried down but even then I would still never reach for it. The longevity and projection weren’t amazing. It’s not often that I have such a visceral distaste for a fragrance immediately, it almost made me angry. I’m going to let the sample sit on the shelf for a while before trying it again, as fragrances sometimes improve after resting for a bit, and I believe in second chances. That said, it does live up to its unique description and was certainly a unique experience, so I commend it for that. This is why you order samples.🙏

Not really an amber in my opinion, more of a geranium heavy patchouli. There's something very vintage about the aromatic opening that eventually settles into a woody patchouli musc. Moderate projection and longevity. Make sure you sample before you buy, geranium can be polarizing.
