Gozo

This is the nectar of the Gods! More then a Godsend, this was crafted by the Lord Himself, His precious hands must have picked the flowers one by one! Smells like a David Bowie song! Like his makeup choices and like his outfits in full 70's Ziggy Stardust era! I can't even rationally go in deep and write my usual long, detailed and boring three pages review since all that I am left with after smelling it is joy and shimmering delight! This leaves me euphoric!!! Still, I want to be of service to the community so I shall try: the opening smells fruity to me, particularly like a smoked pineapple smothered in earthy patchouli, but without anything dirty about it. A tinge of bergamot is felt, but truly well blended and never disconnected from the rest. I feel no spiciness from the saffron, or leathery nuances, it is just simply sweet! Tuberose is candied, not bubblegummy but candied for sure. Like those jelly bears candie of mixed flavours when smelled all at once. A plasticky accord is formed, whether it was intentional or not I am not sure, but I find it so beautiful! It is kinda like a doll head effect but not in the usual way (generally that is the result of notes such as almond, heliotrope, hawtorn flowers, peru balsam, vanilla and even some musks), here it is more plasticky and round then that, not play doh-y at all and not even rubbery, also it's not sweet per se; it is addictive, trust me! And it does not subtract from the chic nature of the scent, actually by contrast it adds to it. Violet leaf and geranium give a fresh spiciness and a green dimension, accentuating the *lush Paradise forest* effect this has. Yes, it smells like that too!!! I can even imagine the multicolored exotic birds patrolling the sky...probably I am conditioned in this by its name, since Gozo is the name of a mediterranean island in the Maltese territory. Cedar and patchouli give a very strong base on which it all rests, but I don't find it much woody at all; it is a creamy cedar for sure, and probably there is some sandalwood too, patchouli is predominant with much body and earthness about it but not too classical (as in the one used in the 70's), it surely calms down the sweetness of the fragrance which, in truth, wasn't too much to begin with...there is nothing truly gourmand about it as others have suggested. Musk and ambroxan are superb and seal the deal perfectly. I must also add that I think there is much more to it then just the declared notes...surely some orange blossom, neroli and Osmanthus, some balsam too, maybe olibanum and styrax? There is a fresh incense and gummy quality about it. And something balsamic, ambery and powdery. The woody aspect is more complex too then just cedar alone so, as I was saying before, there probabily is some sandalwood together with other molecular woodsy notes. This perfume lasts an entire day on my skin and projects like crazy, remaining on clothes even after washing them. It performs like an extract and like a luxury product should, which makes me love it even more. The packaging too is on brand, colourful like the scent! I think it is just perfect for spring. In Italy this became quite popular after a known Tik Tok fragrance reviewer spoke of it highly, but I just don't care...men, I wish all the world could smell like Gozo! Jeroboam could scent my dreams for how much I am enamored with their house. I shall be on the lookout for everything the perfumer, Vanina Muraccioli, creates. I can see why someone would suggest Joop! Homme edp in the remainds me of section (Joop! Homme edp was one of my first love in terms of masculine fragrances); they have a vague similarity probably due to the floral notes and the candie effect they produce, but they are more similar in construction and style then they are on a pure olfactive level. Same can be said for Karma by Lush, which is more zesty but very much patchouli based, and specially for Calacas also by Lush ( known as Zesty, or Dia de Los Muertos/Day of the Dead, another favorite of mine), so much so that I actually suspected that some good old olibanum could be in Gozo as it is in Calacas...probably giving that smoked effect that I feel on the pineapple (or fruity) note, because it is incensey but also clean and fresh balsamic, or maybe I am wrong and that is the geranium note, which can have a pineapple effect and some fresh, green and fresh spicy nuances. Both Lush's Calacas and Gozo share an evocative quality that makes me think of the bewitching atmosphere of Halloween...of those fizzy and limey multicolored candie that children use to share between them while trick-or-treating in the streets and of the fruity and zesty cocktail the adults drink while celebrating in the same streets!!!! As for the vibes Gozo gives, I would say it comes forth as playful yet expensive and elevated, and it is truly unique and unisex. Then again...all Jeroboam creations appear expensive and luxurious to me. Also modern and peculiar. They are everything I imagined today perfumery would be like and they smell like niche should, in my opinion. I find all their fragrances so addictive!!! They have quite the effect on me...as I already wrote in my review for Floro, I sniff myself all day long when I use them, it's like I lose myself in them, trying to capture them, but again and again something escapes me...just when I thought I had finally catched the essence of the smell and all its facets they either change or present new accords, each one ephemeral so there I begin again...trying to seize that "sensation" once more! Probably this effect is reinforced in all their perfumes by their unique (and complex smelling) choice and blend of musks and woods; such gentle musks, clean and enveloping, with a mossy undertone, airy and cloudy in texture, so far away from the usual clean "white musk" materials used in compositions such as this. And addictive. Very aptly labeled by Jeroboam as "enigmatic" musks. Same for the woody notes, they are of exceptional quality, both the "molecular" and the "classic" ones, very nuanced and used in an astute way. Gozo, just as the others Jeroboam, has a magical, glittering feel to it! I can't stop smelling it...I even spray some large mouillettes with it and put them between my money, my documents and my credid cards...everytime I hand them over to someone they smell Gozo and I enjoy observing their pleased reaction! They are quite the experience those Jeroboam!

This one is an interesting one. Not lind buy safe - get a sample. It's oriental for sure - if you don't like that, skip this. It starts out very bad: like a farty, motor-oil-like oud. There's no oud listed, so I think this may be a mix of saffron, bergamot and cedarwood. You have to wait for it to go away before judging this, but how long this stage lasts may vary from person to person. It is absolutely nothing like what I would expect from the notes. After the horrible top notes disappear, it's a light, mildly sweet, warm citrusy-woody smell with really good saffron (a real saffron note). In the background there is some kind of white flower that I've definitely smelt before, but it doesn't read as tuberose... maybe because it's so faint - great use of tuberose. The spices are super soft. It somehow ends up smelling like mandarine hard candy, but in a classy way. The patchouli in this is playing peeka-boo all the time. Overall, it's a bit of a strange, but very addictive smell to me. The feeling it gives me is autumn, looking out from a window into the sunny, sunny weather while lying on a really soft, plush sofa. Just simply enjoying life. It also smells similar to the MAC Makeup counter during 2010-12, when Guerlain Insolence EDP was popular - these two perfumes share some kind of rare note. Or like someone said: it smells like a 5* hotel. I would enjoy having a whole bottle (which I did get) of this :) It is GOOD!

I am absolutely in love with this fragrance. From the very first moment I encountered Gozo, I knew it was something extraordinary. At first, I smelled it on paper, and even then, it stood out as something truly special. But when I finally applied it to my skin, I’m not joking, I almost shed tears. There’s something about the way this scent interacts with me that transcends mere fragrance; it’s an experience, a deeply personal moment of comfort and nostalgia. Every time I wear Gozo, I feel an overwhelming sense of calm. It’s like a motherly voice whispering, “Everything is going to be okay.” It transports me back to childhood, wrapping me in an invisible embrace that feels safe, familiar, and deeply emotional. I don’t focus on the individual notes because, honestly, this is more than just a perfume to me. It’s an emotional shift, a transformation of my mental state that makes me forget it’s even a fragrance. It’s worth every penny, and I will forever love, adore, and worship this scent. This isn’t just a perfume, it’s a piece of my heart. Wow. A very true 100 out of 100. Perfect score for me.

Not at all what I expected. But I really LOVE this perfume. To me, describing this fragrance is inconceivable... Talk about an addictive fragrance!! Blew through my 1oz bottle... Saffron, patchouli, tuberose, violet leaves, cedar, ambroxan, musk. I'd barely categorize this extrait as a "floriental" because the florals (tuberose, geranium, some violet) are pretty muted. This lovely perfume performs as a very spicy, slightly leathery, resinous, woody, amber, patchouli fragrance with minimal floral nuances. The perfume develops in a creamy, ethereal, syrupy nature. The dry-down dominates with saffron, patchouli, ambroxan and musk. The hint of flowery tuberose is perfection. Just purchased "Precious Jewel" Al Ambra as a more affordable alternative. Fragrantica and the Al Ambra Website list notes for Precious Jewel that are identical to the listing notes for Jeroboam Gozo. We shall see...just cannot afford Gozo at its current price point.

As a tradition for the last 10 years, I don't bring any perfumes when I go abroad. It doesn't matter if it is for summer holidays, a weekend or business trips. Instead, I make time to visit a perfume shop during the stay. It's all because I don't want to mix up my memories from different places. Each place means one more perfume to the collection just to keep the memories vivid beyond videos and photos. So... last November I went to Paris on a business trip. Rainy, boring weather. Endless hours of meetings. But then, I had an hour off. I went on my mission to find my fragrance d'Paris. It happened to be Gozo. Usually I can't stand tuberose, but Gozo knocked me off my feet. The distinct scent of cedar layered on patchouli and saffron makes it so very well blended. I get loads of compliments for it. And of course... I remember Paris in all its glory. Splendide!

Very similar to Cacharel's Eden, but with a completely different mood. It's like two sisters that look similar but are polar opposites to each other in personality. The older Eden is the more serious one, introverted and a bit melancholic. The younger Gozo is fun, extroverted and likes being the centre of attention. Love them both, perfect for different moods and occasions. Gozo is very sweet, bright and uplifting. But it's not a sugary sweetness, more like some tropical fruits, even though there are none mentioned in the pyramid. The pyramid itself doesn't really give you a good idea of what it actually smells like, so better try before you buy as it's not exactly blind buy safe. It also smells kind of plasticky, but not in a bad way. Leans feminine imo, the longevity is good but not beast mode, around 7-8 hours.

Gozo by Jeroboam is an incredible tuberose fragrance with a twist that makes it stand out in the best way. As someone who loves tuberose and owns Tubéreuse Astrale by Maison Crivelli, I was instantly drawn to this. What makes Gozo special is the touch of saffron. It adds a warm, spicy elegance that blends beautifully with the creamy white florals. I consider this my joker perfume. It fits all seasons and occasions effortlessly, from summer to winter, and never feels out of place. Every time I wear it, people ask me what I am wearing. It grabs compliments instantly and keeps going strong all day long. No need to reapply. It lasts and lasts with impressive performance. Gozo is versatile, luxurious, and unforgettable. A must-have for anyone who loves tuberose with a bold and modern edge.

Interesting and unusual. I get close to none of the notes listed. Instead I get a big ambered purple jellybean.... That’s it and I can’t unsmell it. Interestingly. I get the same jellybean note in Armani’s Pierre de Lune. No clue why - but it’s a waxy, fruity, vanilla flavour. Just like purple jellybeans. Long lasting and projecting, but for me very simple and linear. UPDATE: 8 months later late June 2024 and I’m getting more depth and nuance. The same with Pierre de Lune. Perhaps this is due to cooler weather and a more seasoned palate? The jellybean note isn’t so obvious. I’m getting more woods, some interesting spicy touches and an abstract floral. It is much more interesting and very radiant.

Gozo is a super fun, vibrant, joyful creation! The strikingly beautiful, vivid orange bottle perfectly matches the sunny composition inside. It's hard for me to discern specific notes in this one, but I definitely get the saffron, which gives Gozo an almost vinyl-barbie doll like quality which I personally adore! This is not tuberose prominent, but the notes unify in such an intriguing way to produce a perfume unlike any I can think of! There is a candy-quality and a whimsical doll-esque vibe to to this, but it's so masterfully created it does not remotely read as 'juvenile' or too sweet, but as a unique piece of niche perfumery. I adore the juice here as well as the bottle. Must! Have!

This fragrance perplexes me. Sometimes when I spray it, I don't smell much and it needs to warm up on my skin a bit before I can actually smell it. Sometimes I spray it and I think it almost smells "plasticky" but then the drydown is what captivates me. Sometimes I spray it and I get gorgeous whiffs from the get-go filled with juicy ambery florals. In any case, the opening seems to vary on me (or maybe it's just in my head) but every time it gets to the drydown, I'm in love with this all-season mystical creature. Great sillage/projection without being overbearing. I've never smelled anything quite like this. Wear this and you will not smell like anyone else in the room.

This is a spot on less smoky version of Stephane humbert lucas Crying of Evil. This was love at first sniff so I immediately bought a full bottle. This is a very gorgeous sweet but citrusy tuberose, & saffron opening. Quickly followed by the cedarwood & a bit of that amazing patchouli. In the dry down the musk takes over & it morphs into one of the best Jeroboam's I've sampled to date. Like all of the gems in this lineup, these fragrances in Extrait concentration last an eternity & well worth every penny. Masterfully blended & I can't wait to try the rest... I want all 12 in my collection & so far I've got 3. 9 more to go!

Absolutely beautiful. It’s a unisex fragrance that leans slightly toward the feminine side, but as it dries down, it develops a woody character that makes it perfectly wearable for men as well.. I don’t think it would be the right choice for summer, as it could become a bit overwhelming, but for spring, autumn, and winter it’s fantastic. I loved it so much that I bought it as a gift for my wife, although the truth is there was another motive in my heart 🙂. I generally prefer wearing masculine fragrances. I find myself wanting to spray it on and wear it occasionally. We’ll see how I feel about it over time.

There's a reason this fragrance is Jeroboam's number one seller and there's a reason they pump in it into the street from their stores. I have Miksado, and after I smelled this, I had to get myself a sample, I've worn it a few times now and it's breathtaking. I'm obsessed, I can't put my finger on the notes or accords, but I don't care. Based on the two fragrances I've sampled by Vanina Muracciole, I'd say they're a genius and I can't wait to sample more and see what gets created in the future. 10/10. Genius. Compliment getter. Warm. Glowing. Comfy. Opulent.

I reviewed it in lenght before, bought it, then sold it because my summer skin chemistry was butchering the scent. I will have to buy again. Yes, is this perfect! Plasticky doll head (but not from heliotrope), candied flowers meet a dirtied patchouli, clean creamy woods and powdery amber. I will say it again, this smells like the glittering 70's to me, like I imagine David Bowie would smell. It sexy and divine, with a sense of uniqueness and playfulness that contrast so well with a more classic earthy base. Love it, just love it. I must buy it again.

OOh my god, very very special perfume, long lasting, beautiful smell, it is masterpiece, unique, I took it yesterday, i was planning to take the 30 ml first because of price, but at the end i can not continue in my idea, so I bought the 100 ml size. Amber, tuberose, and musk make it unbelievable scent . you have to try or at least get the 30 ml. 1000 out of 10. Update on 26/1/2026 still receive complements every time wear this perfume, I think i will buy a backup bottle , heheheheh

It starts with a hypnotic, precious saffron paired with a modern, creamy tuberose that never feels heavy. It literally creates an ultra-modern, three-dimensional, magnetic aura around you for hours on end... it certainly doesn't go unnoticed. In the base, the ambroxan creates that "aura" effect, making it unique and incredibly beautiful! Sillage: 9/10 Longevity: 10/10 Scent: 9/10 Overall: 9/10

omg what a great perfume it's sweet and fresh, and it is how I imagined an upper-crust version of Prada candy would smell, it is oh-so-good! great opening, I guess it could be too sweet for some but even though I don ́t love gourmands I find this extremely wearable and not too cloying unlike some true gourmands like Bruno Acampora's ruby great, great perfume

Individually I struggle with almost each and every of the listed notes - yet somehow I adore the combination of them (so much that I bought a bottle...) Such an intriguing and unique scent. I imagine this being the signature scent of a very attractive woman who everyone is drawn to even though she is slightly obnoxious. Confident booster for sure.

Saffron, violet, and ambroxan open. Tuberose, bergamot, and musk soften it nicely. Unfortunately, I don't detect any geranium. Then the saffron and musk take over the entire composition, but it's not as sharp and uncompromising as in Crystal Saffron, but rather enveloping and even powdery. A very nice composition, worth the price, 9/10.

Nowhere near as experimental or as oriental as the other Jeroboams, it sticks out a lot. I detect lots of citrus in this, I get some orange which is not listed on the notes but it smells like it has an orange in it. It's very good. Smell: 8.5/10 Performance: 7.5/10 Bottle/atomiser: 4/10 Overall: 8.6/10

Is it amazing? Abso-fucking-loutely. Stayed more than a week on clothes and easily lasted to the next morning (i put it on in the previous morning) Its a dream, I think it's all seasons but in the summer make sure you'll be somewhere air conditioned or that you're wearing it in the evening!

A beautiful, simple yet alluring scent. The overall profile is a sweet musky scent, yet when you start to look closer, notes of saffron and geranium start to emerge highlighting the depth of the perfume. It is easy to wear it, not boring, very practical and extremely powerful.

Very nice scent and I almost always hate anything with tuberose. Under the patchouli and tuberose it smells noticeably like BR540, you know that airy sweet fluffy saffron and musk thing. It’s unique and kinda addictive. Projection and longevity are good.

GOZO is one of the best of JEROBOAM collection in my opinion. It's available exclusively at JOVOY boutiques. Notes: Saffron, Tuberose, Bergamot Geranium, Violet Leaf, Cedarwood White Musk, Patchouli, Ambroxan Longevity & Sillage is moderate to me.

When I was in krakow I got a sample of it after talking with the seller about my preferences, and this reminded me of LUSH in somehow, I used to be a store manager before around 10 years, and this notes smells like the store, so cozy. l love it.

Beautiful, elegant. Unique smell. A unique aroma of tuberose, saffron, ambroxan. Elegant patchouli and unique musk, not White. With one spray on the wrist It wmits a very delicate sillage. But on the moliette It Is lasting for over 2 weeks

This is a really interesting spicy floral perfume. It is mixed very well and gives off a slight candy-like vibe, saved from being too sweet by the patchouli. On me it goes quite soapy, but I still like it.

I've never smelled anything like this before. It's so beautifully unique. It's like the cyborg cousin of Cacharel's Eden. There is something balsamic about it that makes it so addictive.

Jeroboam Gozo is such a well-rounded work of perfume. It left me in awe in absolutely all aspects. The tuberose is finished, exquisite, and beautiful. Get this. End of story.

Smells heavenly ... and kind of classic. As if it was made for a king. I've heard every perfume from this company is super musky, but it isn't the case with this one.

Testing Gozo from a 2 ml Jovoy sample. Let’s make it clear: I adore tuberose. In all seriousness, I rarely find a tuberose forward perfume that I dislike. And Gozo it’s not an exception! This perfume smells distinctive than the kind of tuberose I have in my collection. I’d say it’s at the crossroads between a bubblegumy tuberose and a camphorous one. Which is something new to me. Do I like it?? Yes, it’s mostly rich tuberose, dirty patchouli, spicy saffron and a violet leaf which gives Gozo a hint of freshness and earthiness. Don’t know exactly what makes me smell something like camphor in here, but it’s lurking in the background of Gozo. It’s beautifully done but I’m not entirely sold on it. For the time being, it’s a pass for me. I would love to get a bottle as a present though, it’s really nice! As a first impression, seems like a strong scent. Apparently all Jeroboam’s scents are extrait de perfumes, which I always look forward in my fragrances, especially if they cost a small fortune..

Perfectly blended, you will have to intensely try when deciphering individual parts of this fragrance. Dusty musky - for sure geranium, saffron, white musk - but not greasy or cold, it is rather warm sweet-sour orange/coral pink and hard-core blossom white flowerish (tuberose for sure) with green stem juice veins appearing from second hour (patchouli). Very spring and summer like, but might be sticky and cloying during hot days - could be nice during winter season though. Original, great potential to be signature scent. The animalic note is for me obscured in mentioned plasticky or latex glove clinic themed way...might be naughty. Drydown goes to woody damp soil with violet. 270 Euro for 100 ml is a lot even for this rather interesting scent. On second try - F - core remains the same, but one third of perfume shifts to much colder stale undertone, like when you open church door and enter from hot street. You get gust of holy water, cold corridors, softly incense...
