I personally love the Jeroboam line. But first, you have to understand the philosophy: those are very high quality, close to the body, strong and deep scents. They are not like the Jovoys which are more blaring, loud, strong in projections. Those are more subdued, close to the skin but yet deep, strong in their own ways and super long lasting (am counting over 16 hours for most). Look at the size of the bottles just to give you an idea of the concentration. Now, about Miksado: it is a truly original scent with a surprising smell and development considering the ingredients listed. The dry down is extremely long and is one of the better musk dry downs i have ever had.

This is the smoothest perfume I own. Despite the votes Ladies, you can wear this too. Three notes stand out to me. First I`m calmed by very creamy and comforting take on Guaiac Wood. I`d imagine fans of creamy sandalwood notes would also find this frag highly enjoyable. Miksado is rich in a quality saffron that never goes overboard. As the fragrance develops, bergamot reveals a surprisingly sour edge. I get how this stage might be off putting to some. One persons curdled cream is another's Crème fraîche right? I find that juxtaposition of sour citrus and creamy wood genius that lasts all day.

Few years ago I tried Black Afgano, I like it but it was not something I really want in my collection, I'm not sure why I sold my bottle??? Perhaps it was Miksado!!! Miksado is a twist to that DNA from BA. Simply it's in between Sauvage EDP and Black afgano with Safran and maybe a fruity note not mentioned here. So good, if you love BA you have to put you nose on this s***. I will give it 8.5/10. Edit Not similar to Black afgano, I only smell 60% similarities.

This is really good. I've been looking for a good amber perfume, and was sent this as an extra with my order of samples. This is my first encounter with Jeroboam. Miksado is deliciously dark, and I am in love. On me it stays really close to skin, but it is still powerful and that's how I like it. I will wear it for a few days to see how we get along, but I think it is safe to say I will be buying a full bottle soon...

Reminds me a lot of black afgano on skin with a little more musk and some fruity notes, the vanilla is there for sweetness it seems but not the smell, that doesn't make sense but it will when you apply it to skin, it's a complicated scent but worth checking out if you like scents like black afgano. Strong strong stuff here. It's extrait parfum and one to two sprays is all one needs here!

Shocked I am the first person to talk about this fragrance in 2024.. this is very nice. Reminds me of a bottle I had back in 2016, black Afghano. I like this more though, it’s more wearable. This is a monster performer like that one was too, but not shocked considering it also being a 30ml of extrait. This is affordable on the second market and will be sure to garner some conversations.

Best animalic musk scent that I have ever tried. Good projection, sophisticated and dark. It reminds some fur scent in a good way (a cute ferret?). I would not compare it with black afgano. This is more ambery and musky, with no such incense smoke. Miksada seems closer to Jeroboam Ambra. So if you like one of them take another for sure XD

Totally underrated perfume. It is very strong and loud, in a good way that is. Go easy on the trigger, it smells like completely darkness. The woods, musc and saffron makes a beautiful composition. The wood is not overwhelming, which for me is a big +. Still, this is love or hate. Try before buy.

I admit, I bought this as I liked it in store. Got home and didn't like it at all. It's taken me a few wears to now, totally love it. All I am going to say is this is a Witch's scent. Mysterious and dark. She'll cast her spell on you.

Oooh this is dark spicy fun! It’s supreme patchouli, labdanum and guaiac wood loveliness. It’s really nice, so I’ll explore it further. I love it and it’s not like Black Afghano, it’s better.

Whoever thinks this is even remotely similar to grand soir needs their snot-locker checked. Not even close! Don't get me wrong, this is a gem in its own right & deserves its own place in the fragrance history books! I wasn't too impressed in the opening but as it dried down I fell in love. As with every Jeroboam I've tried to date, this is a performance monster with way above average longevity. I'm telling all my fragrance loving brothers & sisters out there, get a discovery set of all 12 in this lineup. Some real talent behind this house. This is a smooth creamy woody amber lovers dream. I'm stunned there's no amber listed but as with all Jeroboam fragrances, these are so masterfully blended, the combination of notes takes on a whole new life of its own. Get your snotbox on this one asap!

This one could easily be an amouage. It has an unforgiving gruffness about it. I like it. But it’s got to grow on you.

On my second wearing—and even though it’s been awhile since I wore Black Afgano— I'm not convinced that Miksado is similar. This perfume lacks the black oil and tar feeling I get with Black Afgano. Miksado is a wearable fruity, smoky patchouli scent. Yes there are wood notes here, but they are not as pronounced as labdanum and patchouli (the fruity notes dissipate after the opening). I’m testing at the end of a Pacific Northwest winter, and I feel it’s already too warm for this cold weather scent. I like it more on my second wearing. Very good performance too.

This scent strikes me as okay, but not recommending a buy. I tested it today against Suma Oriental, another scent that shares the combo of musk, patchouli, and multiple woods. While I will use up the sample of this probably, I SO strongly favor the sweeter, deeper, less sour composition of Suma Oriental. And I notice with the Miksado, as time goes on, it seems to get more sour by the hour...

Boozy, sweet, resinous, spicy, no strong oud or woods, not overly masculine, very unisex. This can fall into a gourmand category it feels very sweet. Love! Second testing feels incredibly masculine and woody. Maybe even oud in there, now see the Black Afghano reference - this is more medicinal and less sweet. Always test twice!

Miksado & Black Afgano similar? Maybe if you spend too much time on your crack pipe!

Nice ambery frag, modern, without infamy and without praise.

I'd say it is a more floral Black Afgano, but still smoky. Perhaps better for ladies who find Black Afgano too masculine. Really not my vibe.

Smells like a generic woody scent on my skin, nothing interesting.

A nauseating fragrance with an imbalance of guaiacol rendering this something akin to a chemical spill or fire in a plastics factory. Deeply synthetic in profile and unskilled in its composition, which is unsurprising, given that this brand is part of the Jovoy family, who have form in that area. Tried to give this away and the person refused to accept it. Might just put it in the bin.

لو أتيح لهذا العطر أن يتكلم فأعتقد أنه سينطق هاتين العبارتين أنا أشبه كثيرا بلاك أفغانو عفوا لا تربط بيني وبين بلاك أفغانو!! لا تظن أنني أمزح، فأنا أقصد بالفعل ما قرأت ميكسادو هو هذه الحالة عطر شرقي قوي للغاية سيذكرك للغاية بالشهير الأيقوني العنيف بلاك افغانو ولكن لا تربط بينهما من حيث التأثير فبلاك افغانو عطر شرقي عنيف جاف خاصة عندما يبرد أما ميكسادو فرغم شرقيته ستجده عطرا حركيا كلنا يعرف أن الكثير من السيدات لا يتقبلن بلاك أفغانو لا تعجب إذا وجدتهن معجبات بميكسادو رغم هذا التقارب فرباعي أفغانو "العود – البخور – القنب – الأخشاب" قد استبدلتها جيروبوام بالرباعي "الغاياك – المسك الأبيض - الزعفران – الفانيليا" لقد أعطاك الثنائي "الزعفران مع اللابدانوم" شعورا مزيفا بوجود ما يشبه القنب في أفغانو لكن الثنائي البديع الحسي من "الغاياك - المسك الأبيض" في ميكسادو قد حسم الأمر على حساب العود والبخور في أفغانو ليحيل ميكسادو عطرا إغوائيا وأخيرا حل الغاياك والزعفران محل الثنائي المبتذل "العود - الورود" أما عن حركية العطر والسر في تقبله من شريحة كبيرة وبخاصة من النساء فورائها أحد ملوك البهجة إنه "الجيرانيوم" يا سادة أما الزعفران الذي أصبحت أراه كثيرا في العطور الشرقية مجاورا للعود بدلا من الورود طمعا في استقطاب إعجاب شريحة من السيدات فأظنه قد أجاد في مهمته بتحريك العطر بعيدا عن أجواء المخلطات الزيتية الشرقية ميكسادو وجبة عطرية بديعة للجنسين يصلح للشتاء بشكل أكبر لكن لا مانع من استخدامه في الأمسيات الصيفية وبخاصة في الأماكن المفتوحة الأداء كثبات وفوحان شيء رائع "يعتمد عليه"

Just seen Nasomatto's Black Afghano in the 'resemblances' field. I largely agree with that ... but I think it overlaps with Blamage also. Actually, I do think this whole range is doing pretty much a 'Nasomatto' stunt - being altogether a lot like them. This perfume is fascinating - it doesn't quit teasing you olfactorily, like a gem that teases you visually with reflections and refractions from and through its multiple facets. At first you think it's a simple musk-wood bomb, but then you start getting whiffs of a more 'green' nature - but yet without upsetting the superb integration of the whole. And I'm beginning to find now, having worn it for a good few hours, that the tenacity & projection are just off the scale. It is a lot like Black Afghano, though: it's even got that (to my mind anyway, and I know at least one other who agrees) sort of Chinese warehouse aroma about it. I do mean literally remiscent of that certain characteristic smell of a Chinese warehouse; and both fragrances have it.

There's only two great black afghano dupes in perfumeland and this is both of em! Miksado is a profound woody oriental composition that cautiously merges fresh and green accents with richly shaded amber resins and precious wood. An excessive oud accord unfastens the scent, combined with earthy and muskiness, in conjunction with the refined, bittersweet and soft floral nuances of saffron. Gunky labdanum emerges at the heart, wreathed in patchouli and the fragrant citrus of bergamot. Heavy warm tones soon segue into a soft, shadowy musk base that blends geranium, patchouli and a dash of vanilla. Cozy, mysterious and good as hell, this is why you can't complain about Jeroboam's 30ml bottles.

okay! four scents in, and finally i've got one that's speaking to me! there's a wonderfully smooth cinnamon - guiaic sweetness that is impossible to resist. I remember either reading or hearing a perfumer mention how it's impossible to feck up with guaiacwood, and I agree to some extent. this has a wonderful bubblegum accord. you know, that token 'bubblegum' flavour/scent that a lot icecream shops make. that's what i get out of this scent. something possibly floral in the background, but for me, it's a definite yes. now, we progress to the 'decant into an atomiser' stage to see how the sprayed on perfume works...

Severely trying to see the similarity with Black Afgano. Nope, none, nada! Miksado has the most unusual vanilla note I've ever sampled. Not to confuse me with not liking it... I adore it. Unlike, BA there's a sweet tart candyish vibe to this fragrance. Wore it today and all I could detect was nuances of powdered candy. Nowhere, near the formulation of BA. Maybe it's just me that feels this way. However, I have a pretty solid olfactory. Have both frags and love them both for vastly different reasons.

This one is an oriental fragrance. I can smell patchouli, vanilla, cedar, papyrus or cypriol oil, plum and in the back something woody (oud or sandalwood). It reminds me of Jubilation XXV and Plum Japonais. Some resemblance with Sandalwood by the Art of Shaving in the drydown.

This feels like if you were staying in a cabin in the woods on a rainy night and spilled a bottle of black ink on your favorite cashmere sweater. There's something inherently melancholic yet comforting and nostalgic about this fragrance that keeps drawing me in.

Do you remember Black Afgano from Nasomatto? It was reformulated in such a way, that from a beast mode became a soft fragrance. Well, Miksado can replace the new Black Afgano with a great succes, as this is not so far away in terms of smell, but projects better.

Another bland fragrance from this house! Vanilla, musc, & oud that's it! come on Vanina, do anything out of the safe zone. It's just too normal to be classified as niche or even sold for 120$ for the 30 ml! nothing special at all im sorry.

I see a lot of similarities to black Afgano. It’s a nice scent, but to me, no real purpose of having both. Black afgano is superior to this. Of note - the performance is great on this. It’s like a bull in a china shop... go easy. 6/10

Miksado is my favorite out of all Jeroboam perfumes. I can't describe the scent but the dry down reminds me of caramel popcorn so delicious yet sophisticated at the same time🥰

Agreed with the review below, basic and underwhelming. Nothing special about it whatsoever, had high hopes too so a little let down. Best from the house Oriento and Gozo.

Not usually my style but this is quite pleasant, something almost vanillic but I guess it’s the labdanum and geranium together. This smells great while drinking coffee

MIksado is wonderful the whole line is great they are deep dark and sexy. MIxsado is misteriuos and well blended. A must try the whole darn line.

A total 10-megaton musk-&-amber bomb, basically: just gorgeous ... love it!

It doesnt smell like Grand Soir.Grand Soir is way better.
