Vintage Bloom

This is a "Spring Day in a Perfume Bottle" - which had me at "Hello"! This would match my Pinterest.com account where I collect vintage styled wall paper prints, country cottage roses lining shuttered windows, Laura Ashley styled rose prints with spring and summer colors in them. The product packaging and bottle remind me of shabby chic designs, which has been one of my favorite styles to decorate my home in. This perfume wears well as perfume, but also is great as a room spray. It has a clean, fresh, cheerful vibe to it. This is also a fabulous transition fragrance when the weather is behaving like a spring/fall day -- (not dipping into the winter yet). I love this -- it truly makes me "Happy"! Yes -- I get a TON of compliments on this - particularly from men. They always have a wistful look on their face as they compliment me because this is a clean, fresh as a daisy -- type fragrance... you feel upbeat with this one. Love this -- wish there were more fragrances in this same theme - and expression. I love the theme of Spring in a bottle! This one is truly AWESOME and FRESH! Eau du Ciel has always been one of my very favorite fragrances, and this is in the same type of family with that one -- only more of a lemon, citrus type note. -------- I'm really enjoying this with the days that are transitioning from summer into autumn. This is a perfect fragrance for that time of year when you want something clean, fresh, and clear -- (not a heavy, syrupy fragrance)... but this has more body than some of the cotton candy type Victoria Secret fragrances. ------------ I just discovered Cash by La Rive which is similar, but a bit more mature and business-like. Both Jessica Simpson's Vintage Bloom and Cash are the type of fragrances which are "spring in a perfume bottle - yellow - fresh as a daisy type perfumes". You could use these interchangeably for different occasions to develop a strong "signature". (Cash is a dupe for Lady Million by Paco Rabanne... I have not yet tried that yet, but I will definitely do so)! ------------ New Discoveries - January 2022 - If you like Jessica Simpson's Vintage Bloom, I would also try: Lady Million by Paco Rabanne Cash by La Rive Gabrielle Essence by Channel (Lady Million, Cash, and Gabrielle Essence all have the lemon type sunshine-y notes like Jessica Simpson's Vintage Bloom) Avon's Today (tuberose) Diamonds and Emeralds by Elizabeth Taylor Gardenia by Elizabeth Taylor Michael Kors (signature perfume) Kim Kardashian (signature perfume in the black bottle) Valentino Donna Rosa Verde' (Today, Diamonds and Emeralds, Gardenia by ET, Michael Kors, Kim Kardashian, and Donna Rosa Verde' have different notes, but still the spring day in a bottle type vibe) I really love Jessica Simpson's Vintage Bloom for more of a light transparent wash, almost like a beautiful spring watercolor type mood - perfect for spring/summer. All the perfumes that I mentioned have a sunny, spring day in a bottle type vibe about them. There are subtle differences which you will detect as you experience each of these.

You had me at "Spring Day in a Perfume Bottle"... This starts with a very strong dose of lemon... citrus - A High Pitched Soprano - Sweet Smell I smelled this once at an Ulta - and didn't purchase it. What a mistake that was. This was heavenly. I loved the way this wore on my skin - but for some reason, I didn't purchase it. I'm so glad to find it on ebay - at a decent price. Can't wait to wear this for the spring! It lingered in my mind as being a very nice musky spring fragrance. Like people have said, sometimes you have to overlook the fact that this is a celebrity scent - and wear this as your own. If it is true to other scents - It will wear differently on most every skin and chemistry. ------------ This has passed the "guy test".... I love trying a few perfumes at the same time and then having my male friends tell me which ones they like the best. This perfume was the choice of the day - and the look in my friend's eyes was what gave this away. You know that you are onto a great fragrance when it has a spellbound effect on them as they smell your arm - then look into your eyes. "This is THE ONE"... You can't get any better than that! ------------ Length of wear... This fragrance wears about seven hours on my skin. At first, I thought that this was fleeting - but actually, it has good staying power. The trick to this is to not wear this on a day when you are comparing this to a super strong, long lasting fragrance. This is NOT an Estee Lauder (or 80's era) knock you over the head fragrance. It is gentle. It won't last 15 hours - but then again, this fragrance is so wonderful that I don't mind buying a small purse sized spray to put this in and refresh throughout the day. It is at such a reasonable price that I don't mind splurging like this. This fragrance is alluring, gently and subtly sexy. It beckons you...and calls you in. The more I wear this - the more I love it! I'm so glad that I followed my hunches and ordered this! I should have bought it a couple of years ago - when I first tried it! Don't wait -- this is a GOOD ONE! ---------- This is in the same family of notes as my favorite fragrance - Eau Du Ceil - by Annick Goutal. That fragrance is truly wonderful, but only lasts on my skin a total of two hours, max. It was super expensive - and I couldn't justify spraying it multiple times a day just to reapply. It is wonderful to find another fragrance with the overall similar effect. I adore Eau Du Ceil - it is truly magical but very difficult to find --- and VERY EXPENSIVE. So glad to find something similar - at a more reasonable price! ----------- If you like this fragrance - I recommend that you also try Rare Pearls by Avon. They are enough different to this that you can justify the purchase of both. Vintage Bloom is more lemon/citrus - and Rare Pearls is more magnolia and floral. Both are very romantic, soft, alluring, and subtly sexy.

The further and further I go into my "perfume buying career," which is about 80% blind buys...the better and better I'm getting at knowing what I'll think of a fragrance before I even purchase it based on the notes, accords, and reviews from others. That being said... Every now and then... we all have the occasional blind buy that really surprises us! Sometimes good, sometimes bad. This one? I had a feeling I would just moderately like it and wear it when I am feeling indecisive or just want something clean smelling to run errands in. I actually ordered this one together on Ebay with Elizabeth Arden's "White Tea" perfume. I anticipated on loving THAT ONE! Joke was on me. I found White Tea very blah. Something I like but won't reach for often...that type of perfume. But this one! SHOCKED ME! I expected a sort of average, (but pleasant) floral perfume with not much depth or character to it. Well let me tell you...this not only smells BEAUTIFUL...I actually find it very unique! It's not just floral. There's much more going on here than I anticipated. The florals are there immediately with the citruses. But then...the musk and sandalwood come in and really warm this baby up! The musk and sandalwood almost give off that "cozy amber" sort of note. For a moment I swore I was smelling amber in this. But I think it's just the way the notes play off of eachother. It's quite harmonious. This one really, REALLY surprised me! And it's dirt cheap! I think that the sort of normal, almost astringent floral smell of "I Fancy You," is what I thought this one would turn out to smell like. But I REALLY like this one. It's so clean, it's very classy, it's inoffensive, it's just downright beautiful. This one and her debut perfume "Fancy" are hands down, my favorites in her collection. I'm also shocked about the votes on the performance of this one. This is one of those perfumes that's entirely adjustable with the amount sprayed. If you only use 1-2 sprays...you'll get 3 hours or so out of it with office-safe projection of 1-2 feet. If you overspray (6-10 sprays)...you'll EASILY get 6-7 hours out of this one and it gives a good 3-4 feet of projection. I normally go with this option lol. Overall Score - 8/10 Really REALLY beautiful perfume and dirt cheap! Highly recommend! Safe blind buy in my opinion! I voted above with a "Love." Awesome job Jessica!

This was a blind buy for me but after reading and watching glowing reviews I thought I’d give it a shot. My goodness, it’s lovely. I usually don’t love citrus fragrances but I’ve been trying to branch out and try new things. This scent opens up with a blast of fresh lemons, bitter and all but the magic happens when you wait 5 minutes for the dry down. Oh my oh my... so divine! There is definitely a sweetness but not a baked good sweet. It almost mellows out the mix of the lemons and floral notes with a creaminess that is to die for. I find a lot of florals a little sharp and wet smelling which works if you like the literal fresh cut flowers smell in perfume, but the floral notes in here are so well blended and soft that it just.. I can’t even describe it. I like that this isn’t a fresh meadow scent with lemon (I have one and that’s more than enough), it’s like a dreamy cloud of sweet lemons and velvety florals that just melt into the skin instead of sitting of top. It’s not vintage in an overly musky, extremely heavy floral type of way.. it’s vintage in that it’s soft and simple yet timeless. I was supposed to get married this month (March) in semi cool weather but had to cancel because of the dangers of COVID-19.. I had a fragrance that I had saved for my wedding week that now sits in a box waiting for fall to return. BUT now that we’ve moved the date to summer, I’m happy to say that this is the perfume I’ll wear on my wedding day! It makes me feel so pretty and happy.

I gifted myself this perfume for New Year's. I got it on EBay for 14 dollars in its original box. And omg I feel like I've hit the fragrance lotto. Whooooo! This brings tears to my eye. The packaging and bottle design itself is breathtaking. The shape and curves of the bottle are very delicate just like the juice. I feel very elegant owning this bottle. At first it smells like lemon pound cake fresh out of the oven not the least bit over powering. A minute into my wrist spritz I smell musk and delicate peonys and delicate ripe raspberry blending harmoniously into the lemony lime. A tad powdery which makes it feel vintage. So calming and soothing. Fresh and sweet. I'm actually taking a bubble bath writing this review and it dawned on me that this would make one beautiful bubble bath! It's now been 5 minutes the notes have calmed into the most delicate scent I ever smelt. Lofty and airy with a faint hint of sandalwood. This could DEFINATELY be worn by a Bride during spring and summer. I've never been married but if I was to get hitched THIS is the fragrance. It's inoffensive. Delightful. Playful. Fun. Romantic. Innocent and wistful. Just fabulous. I feel TRANQUIL and serene smelling this juice. Divinity in a BEAUTIFUL elegant decanter. It reminds me of Jeanne Arthes Amore Mio Forever. Thank you Jessica. You are so lovely in every way. To whomever reads this I hope you have a WONDERFUL new year. Love and light.

I bought this in early 2015 and by September of that year I used the 100 mill bottle to the bitter end to coin a phrase. There is nothing bitter about this fragrance it does sit closely to the skin yet it is rather long lived. It has a dusky vibe in the notes with a little citrus and undercurrents of woods coupled with indistinct floral notes. Vintage. Hum? Well it does somewhat have that vintage vibe, more Laura Ashley prints of a bygone Victorian era. Soft and woodsy like a potpourri in a cedar wardrobe fragrance. It's fairly non descript but reminds me of all those other modern attempts at being none descript in a fragrance ie Modern Muse, Untold, and dozens of others. I shouldn't compare but hey we all have different wardrobes. I found I really enjoyed this fragrance at the time and used it daily and it will always remind me of that unstable and passionate time in my life and of my sadly departed son, who was always there to assist me in my troubled travels. I didn't pay a huge amount either . I bought this 100 mill flacon in a gift pack with lotion and shower gel...for 20. aus dollars... It's a safe and somewhat mature fragrance, but anyone who likes safe and well blended will most likely gravitate towards this fragrance. I must add on my skin it's about a 4 hour life on my skin.

Im not a lover of celebrity fragrances, but almost all Jessica Simpsons perfumes blow me away and Vintage Blossom is no exception! I have to say Fancy Nights then Fancy are my favorites, but i think this one just knocked Fancy to number 3! I Fancy you, then Fancy Girl and Fancy Love comes in last. This has such a nostalgic smell to it, not like old lady smell at all, but like it takes you back to another time...its very aptly named. I imagine sitting outside and english country cottage with the cutting garden in full bloom sipping my earl gray tea.....its just from another era and therefor smells really unique and I just adore it! Its defiantly a floral, but it has enough wood and musk to keep it just a tad bit sensual. This would work for any age group. This was a blind buy and it has exceeded all my expectations! Its lasts pretty well on me, a good 5 hours and silage is moderate, which i like best, noticeable but not intrusive. If you are on the fence, just try it! All Jessica Simpsons perfumes smell waaayyy more expensive then they are. Great value

This is a light citrus at first, not bad, but something I'd pass on. After a minute or so, it's REAL nice. After that, it's just perfectly perfect! It's a perfect 10. I DO wish it had the staying power and strength of Fancy Love, but it's just as perfect to me. It doesn't list a musk here, but I've seen listed, cotton musk, and raspberry also. Doesn't matter if it has cotton musk or not, that's what I smell. It's a musky smell comparable to Jovan's musk. If you like that, I should think you'd like this as much, it's just more faint. It's a musk that smells like a clean, warm, humid body next to you. I think this is as good as Fancy Love, which I LOVE, only just a bit more frail. I gotta get treated for this perfume addiction...it's just too costly....ugh Edit Bought a second bottle. Took this on three week vacation and it lasts and lasts and smells delightful. I wore it to church, up in the mountains, for ice cream, before bed, after shower...and never tired of it. It's better than the newer Fancy Loves to me now!

I seem to be getting something very different from the other reviews, but I suppose this is what makes perfume interesting - it's different for everyone. Maybe it's the scent's name playing subliminal tricks on my brain, but this scent brings to mind flowers that have been pressed between the pages of an old, dusty book. For me, that is a lovely image and part of why I am loving this scent. When I wear this, I get that dusty, almost earthy note in between the light floral. I tried to pick out the notes before checking Fragrantica, and I would've sworn this contained some kind of a smokey note, but no. I love this scent. I've passed it by several times at TJ Maxx, thinking it couldn't be as good as her Fancy line. Carrielwin's review made me finally take the plunge, and while it's certainly different than anything Fancy, it's really lovely. On me this lasts several hours, especially if I mist a bit on my shirt. I can still catch whiffs of it after 8 hours. Great blind buy.

I finally have this gem in my collection! Oh it is divine! First came to my mind was Live by JLO...it actually smells like it probably because of the vibrant mixture of fruits in it and then mellows into lovely floral...but the hint of sweet fruits are still there. This is my new signature scent by Jessica Simpson. I love most of her perfumes because they are sweet in a not so cloying way, their sweetness are very comforting and lovely. I used to have fancy and fancy love and I really fell in love with those perfumes...now this divine juice in a vintage like bottle is just pure elegance. Very Beautiful. I give it 10/10 because it smells so good and it lasts a long time. It lasts on my clothes for a good 11-12 hours! What a high quality fragrance from a celebrity scent! Jessica Simpson did a good job on this one...AGAIN! I am really hoping she will make a flanker of this one...

Vintage Bloom is so pretty! I totally smell the citrus and peony, plus the raspberry blossom note. The musk reminds me of a musk that used to freak me out -- but now I love -- in Miller Harris L'Air de Rien -- very animalic. Another reviewer noticed an Earl Grey tea note -- tannic, clean, and citrusy -- which makes sense here, with all the citrus. I love this scent. I hope it has decent lasting power on my skin. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 9/9/22: Lasting power is OK but not great on this one -- good for, maybe, 2 hours, then must re-spray. But re-spray I will, because I seriously love this one. In a side note, it's very close to being a dupe of Nina Ricci Nina, the one in the cute, shiny, red apple, but it's better than that one.

I've been looking for a scent for spring into summer. Found this one on sale and purchased it online as a blind buy. I'm pleased with this one. It opens with a little bit of a zesty Sprite scent with a touch of peony noted. This quickly moves into a soft raspberry powder, a bit like Smarties candy (the little ones in the clear wrapper) but more complex and satisfying. The peony lasts through both top and middle notes for me. Overall it is sweet, but not cloying with a little citrus zest to balance the sweetness. Sadly, this scent on me quickly fades out and is not at all noticeable to others unless they are invited into your personal space. However, it wasn't expensive, so I can feel free to reapply it at will without feeling guilty.

It was love at first sniff with Vintage Bloom...In a magazine one lazy day at school. All I knew was that I had to have it the minute I smelt it. Unfortunately it's been found nowhere in Canada at the time I smelt it. Fortunately I went to the States and had the honour of getting my real first spray of Bloom and...Ah. Fresh, tart, cirtusy, this is what I've been looking for in a perfume since day one! It's pure lemon/lime with a dust of musk and sandalwood. Despite my love for sharp citruses, I am a bit disappointed I can't get any of the florals out of Vintage Bloom. Still, this may just become my first signature scent. A very well done job by Jessica :)

Vintage Bloom is so satisfying and so lovely. I bought a back up bottle straight away. The idea was to get to know another celebrity fragrance, because I didn't try anything from Jessica, apart of Fancy Nights, which I love. I went for Vintage Bloom because I am into anything shabby-chic, and this bottle and cute floral box with painted peonies is an epitome of cute-cottage style. Makes a fantastic display. I am really glad I found it. The scent itself is very uplifting, fresh, but with decent dose of sweetened lemon. It reminds me of floral that only slightly mixed with a gourmand, fluffy and tender peony with a cooled lemon cookies on a tray.

Skjus me, "vintage".... what?? - the bottle or the juice? The bottle though is adoreable, just so very cute, the juice is so very fresh smoothered citruses, very, very sour, my first thought was of my hungry bin (hasta-la-vista)... but than, after some 20 min it calmed down, "phew".... So, the juice is anything about "vintage", it's just so fresh, with lemon and kinda white flowers, and, in fact it's very goood! -I like it a lot, I bought it last summer and forgotten all about it, but now it's among the (lucky!) perfumes to go on a vacation to my hometown, Bergen, with me this summer, BIG SMILE :))

I love this so much that I do not want to use up the bottle for fear of never having it in my possession again. This smells faintly of smoke and flowers. I find this so sexy on my skin. It lasts a long time and does not change after the first 5 minutes of wear. I am wearing it in the summer and will wear it in every season. It does not have an aggressive throw even after several applications. I have also layered this with Library of Flowers True Vanilla by spraying Vintage Bloom all over my body (not clothing and not wrist and hands) and True Vanilla on my wrist and top of hand.

Oh wow I just love this one!! It's happy and fruity and floral and fresh! The dry down is beautiful. On my skin it makes me smell super clean but not soap clean more as if I bathed in flower water. Florals aren't my favorite but this is divine! It's not the longest lasting perfume but it's cheap enough to spray and spray throughout the day.I'm going to start buying and hoarding bottles of this! Lol! I'm about Jessica's age...35..and I feel like this is a familiar sent from my adolescence. It's such a happy uplifting scent.

I really love this one! I didn’t care for Fancy, it was just too sugary. But this one isn’t painfully sweet, it’s a very nice light floral with just the right amount of fruitiness. I couldn’t believe how nice it was considering I paid only $5 for the 1.7 oz bottle, but this is surprisingly well blended and very feminine. I get tons of compliments every time I wear it out. I don’t think you can go wrong here, even in a blind buy! Longevity and sillage are fabulous too.

I usually scoff at celebrity fragrances (too many bad experiences, lol), but this is legit an absolutely gorgeous scent. It feels bold and soft at the same time (if that makes sense). It feels simultaneously classy, sexy, and tender. I really see it as a beautiful bedtime fragrance, one that you can wear when you snuggle with your partner. I can also see one wearing it when going to a light lunch or tea with friends. I am not ashamed to say that I LOVE this!!!

I DO get the Vintage Vibe. It's strange b/c I get the Lemon Lava cake mentioned below, but what am I smelling that is giving it this vintage vibe? My guess is that The Peony & Raspberry blossom is coming off as sort of Rosey mixed. So I now smell like a lemon Cake sprayed with Rose Perfume. It's not bad, I may grow to love it, it's just different. Maybe I'll update. @Gemsense, I think you got your Jessica's mixed up.

So if you ignore that it’s a ‘celebrity’ scent, and it has association with Jessica Simpson, they you can actually appreciate that this is a great scent, especially at that price point. This is an all year fragrance that I’d love to smell if I was up close to a woman, it’s clean without being boring. Nice to have that fresh lemon/lime smell as opposed to the excessive florals that so many women’s fragrances have.

I tested Vintage Bloom a few days ago on my skin and on a card. It is a beautiful citrus/floral. The peony and citrus blend nicely, and the musk/sandalwood add depth. The fragrances it reminds me of are Gucci Flora and an old drugstore scent, Cachet. I left the fragrance tester card in my purse, and now my wallet, etc, smell heavenly a few days later, so the scent definitely lingers. Very elegant, classy perfume.

@The Nose Nose~ Maybe your nose knows, but your brain isn't getting it right. A SCENT doesn't have ONE SINGLE thing to do with a woman "trying to be younger". It has to do with what a person..man, or woman, would like to smell like. That's an abusive statement you are making, apparently with some sort of child smelling like this. You have a long way to go. This is a gorgeous springtime scent...for "Anyone".

I love this! The citrusy notes make enough of a statement without making you feel like you're wearing Lysol. I think the florals really make a difference with this one because they add a richness, a quality that I love about Jessica Simpson's fragrances. After the opening, it smells like a quaint little garden. This is just a really simple, pretty, easy to wear late summer/spring fragrance.

Beautiful floral bouquet. Well blended. None of the other notes listed above stand out on my skin. It does have a slightly vintage smell but it's vintage in the ageless, timeless, sense to me. The price is outstanding as it smells like it should cost more. Designer quality, good sillage and moderate longevity. Just ordered my second bottle! Compliment earner too!

Yet another wonderful fragrance from Jessica Simpson, this is such a lovely sweet and citrusy fragrance I am wearing this right now and found that it has lasted hours on me and can smell it on my clothes,it is very similar to nina by Nina Ricci but you are paying less and it's just as good if not better,this has come to be one of my current favourites.

Stumbled upon this yesterday at the drug store and I'm so glad I did. I'm not into very floral fragrances but this is very lovely and subtle. It opens to citrus but quickly turns into a sweet peony scent. I only managed to get 3-4 hours scent but I don't care since it smells so lovely. Gives me a reason to reapply it again during the day.

Mmmmm.This perfume has the similarities of the raspberries in Nicki Manaj-Minajesty That I love! It's a sweet pretty floral with an addicting sandalwood musk base.I just love that signature sandalwood musk in the bases of her perfumes.wow! It was a blind buy for me,was on sale for $20.So worth it.The bottle is unique as well.

Jessica does it again! It does remind me of B&BW Country Chick! I am not usually a fan of floral perfumes but this one is not an overwhelming floral. Vintage is the perfect name for it. It's just a delicate, creamy, feminine perfume. It doesn't seem to last as long as Fancy does for me, but it makes it a good 6 hours.

This is a very light citrusy sweet scent. It was nothing at all what I was expecting. I thought there would be more rose in the mix. It reminds me of a warm sunny summer day! I think this would be suitable for any age and pretty much any time of the year. Nice job Jess!

It's a LOVE for me! I don't know why this is called Vintage Bloom. There is nothing vintage about it. Modern uplifting peony floral. Lemony soft and sweet. * Feminine * Great blind buy. * Long lasting, great sillage. Rating it a 10. Can't stop sniffing!

When i smelt this today, i had a rush of clean, refreshing flowers. It is sweet, and there is a little lemon, but more like a lmon merangue; but not enough to call this a citrus perfume. I absolutely ADORE this, and want it for my birthday!

I just purchased the new fragrance by Jessica Simpson, Vintage Bloom. I LOVE it!! Wonderful summer fragrance and such a beautiful bottle. I will have to come back and share more after wearing this fragrance. Its really wonderful.

I love this perfume! It does remind me Nina Ricci's apple. But it considerably cheaper. I m in love with this one and use it everyday though i have a huge collection of other perfumes i just can t put this one away!

I love this fragrance and the bottle. This is simple, easy, fresh, uplifting, happy. This projects and lasts over 8 hours on me. The bottle contours perfectly in my hand while I spray it.

I have fallen in love with Jessica Simpson's perfumes. Vintage Bloom is classic and rich, like a field of flowers or orchard trees blooming and ripening during late summer.

It smells like Nina by Nina Ricci to me. The one in the red apple bottle. I love Nina and now I love Vintage Bloom! I really can't wait to own a bottle. : )

This literally smells like a bouquet, especially after it dries down a little. It's my favorite Jessica fragrance so far and I hope to get it soon! :)

This is so jummy 🥰 the citrus is very fresh and the raspberry blossom adds a sweetness to it, it's creamy and very well blended, it's a love from me

Its like the super floral citrus version of Beyonce Rise and its more of a Summer to After Bath fragrance... it only last like 2-4 hours

This is a lovely perfume. Even though this perfume is inexpensive, I very much enjoy it. The bottle looks and feels more expensive.

Jessica Simpson Vintage Bloom, As the Summer's heat is now upon me... The hot, humid, God-Awful Sticky weather. I wanted something light, airy, and well, I'm on a Lemon/Linden Blossom kick. However, I did not want to invest a car payments worth into a bottle of perfüme ...{this time, anyway}. So, I typed in "Lemon Blossom" into an online search engine for an online perfüme seller. Viôlé;, ... Vintage Bloom was on the top three. I liked the notes, LOVED the price tag. I figured even if I didn't care for it the bottle was lovely would look nice on the vanity and it would be safe enough to use as a linen spray. It came, I liked, I wear. It's very citrus {lemon} it smells like fine homemade lemonade the kind where someone throws in a couple of lime slices & a couple of bags of Camomille tea. That's EXACTLY what Vintage Bloom smells like. Lemon, lightly floral, with a bit a "dusty" smell. Just enough to give it that vintage scent. I wouldn't say this perfüme knocked my socks off. But, it was surprisingly nice for a cheapie celebrity scent. I have to say, this perfüme is nice on it's own. But, layers very well with other perfümes. I have layered it with: Jessica McClintock #1, Versace EROS femme, and FLORIS white rose. Vintage Bloom really added a nice Mid-Late Summer's Citrusy feel to these other perfümes.Maybe not the most intoxicating fragrance. But, definately interesting and fun. Nice, light, lemon type floral for sizzling hot sticky humid summer days when you want a little spritz of something but nothing too heavy. Surprisingly, I have gotten quite a few compliments while wearing it.

Oh Jessica. You are the queen of celebrity perfumes. First of all, the bottle is so pretty and compact. Second, this is the only floral fragrance I like enough to purchase again. I impulse bought it at Marshalls knowing that Jessica Simpson never fails to impress me. As expected, she impressed me. I don't smell any of the citrus notes, which is a bummer because I love citrusy notes. However, that doesn't take anything away from the fragrance. It's floral, musky, warm and slightly sweet fruit. I don't know if the name is giving me some kind of placebo effect, but it gives me a sense of nostalgia. I can't pinpoint where the nostalgia is coming from. When I wear this fragrance, it makes me feel girly, but it's not like the typical youthful girly perfumes that smell like sugar. I don't feel like a 12-year-old wearing this. I feel like an ultra-feminine and sophisticated version of my 22-year-old self. It first sprays fresh, flowery and slightly warm. Then it gets a bit sweet and flowery and then it dries down musky with a little bit of flower left. I am shocked I like this because it smells way more floral on me than the notes describe, but I love it. I usually hate florals unless they are light white flowers in majority sweet scents. This is more floral with a very very small touch of sweet. The quite opposite of my comfort zone. None the less it is beautiful. Overall, I give this a 8/10. I can't give it a 10/10 because it's floral. I don't think floral fragrances will ever be my fav, but this is so far the best floral for me. I adore this.

I may be a little obsessed with perfume. I have at least 2 dozen (not counting mini's and samples" and at least half of them were blind buys based off of reviews and "smells like" I've learned that not only do people of course have a different prefers of scents, they can also have a very different sense of smell. A certain note in the perfume can be the top note to one person where the next can't even detect that note at all. So reviews and "smells" like are only of little help. For example, I blind bought this one because of the many reviews saying it smells "just like" Nina by Nina Ricci, which I love. From experience I wasn't expecting this to smell "just like" Nina but with so many saying it does, I figured it'd be close. I usually range it in relative form. A twin would smell identical. A sister would smell similar but not the same. I've bought some that supposedly smelled like another and it was barely even a distant cousin or not related at all! lol To my nose, Vintage Bloom could be Nina's sister. Not a twin, but still a sister which is really the best you can hope for. It's as if you were to remove the apple from Nina (which to me it's the top note of Nina, and there is no apple note listed in VB) and replaced it with a spice note. I like it, but it's not as pretty as Nina and doesn't last as long, it's like a body spray. But for the price, if you like Nina, you should give Vintage Bloom a try, you'll probably like it too.

I am wearing this right now and I must say, it is a very light fragrance, barely there type scent but it is quite lovely. I got a great after Christmas sale with the 3.4 oz. bottle with the pretty 'ole fashioned spritzer to put on the top of the large bottle, a small purse sprayer that can be refilled, a makeup bag with a purple flower, and a nice size lotion. I love the box it came in also. It is a large hard case box with lovely flowers on the top. I plan on using it for my pearl stringing. Back to the perfume. I really find it a pleasing scent with a bit of comfort included. I cannot see how anyone would find this scent to be offensive. I think this is a great perfume for relaxing in my fussy p.j.'s in front of a warm fire. I had sampled this fragrance before so I knew it was a floral, and I knew it was not a strong smelling perfume. I have wanted to add it to my wardrobe of scents for a long time but for some reason never come across a good deal until today. I do not smell any citrus, lemon or lime but perhaps it is blended so well as to not notice. I do smell the berry note and maybe even vanilla, although it is not listed as an ingredient. I find the bottle to be attractive in a lacy kind of way, and I love the pink squeeze spritzer on the top of the bottle. I am not sure how long it will last so I will add that later if needed.

Vintage Bloom is quite lovely. It's not complex or unique, but it is very pretty and easy to wear. It opens with a sweet fresh lemon. It smells like fresh squeezed lemon juice, it never smells bitter and it doesn't slide into household cleaner like some cheaper lemon dominant fragrances can. I like that they used fresh, sweet, "pink"-smelling florals to support the lemon. I find it is the white florals that can pull lemon in kitchen cleaner territory. The base is crisp, clean musk with a hint of woodiness. The lemon is still present, but it is soft and subtle. This is a light, fresh, airy fragrance that is quite youthful and feminine. It's easy to wear for any occasion but is perfect for a warm sunny day. The performance is better than I expected. On my skin it lasts 5-6 hours with moderate projection for 2-3 hours then stays closer to the skin. I tried overspraying and the fragrance stayed fresh and clean smelling, never becoming cloying or overwhelming. It didn't help the longevity at all, but the projection was a little improved. I found reapplying after 4-5 hours gives much better results. I just have a travel spray, but I have enjoyed this fragrance enough that I will likely buy a full bottle once I finish what I have. Vintage Bloom is a great value, it is often available at discounters for under $20CAD

Jessica Simpson's Vintage Bloom is a very pleasant, effervescent fragrance. I've been wearing this fragrance for a few years, and every time I reach for it--I fall in love all over again. The Peony and Musk are the show stoppers for me. These two notes show up and show out--making this fragrance clean, feminine, and free-spirited! Today, I have Vintage Bloom layered with Clean Warm Cotton; I'm afraid these two together are truly a masterpiece! The House of Jessica Simpson is one of my favorite houses--She never disappoints! The longevity is amazing, one can easily get 6 hours of wear out of Vintage Bloom--without reapplying. The sillage is great too. Imagine yourself encapsulated in a peony and musk bubble--all day! You can be smelled by others when you wear this, and I love it! It is not off-putting or cloying, but joyous and floral. In my opinion, this is a safe-blind buy.

Initially it starts off as a very delicate, sweet floral with musky undertones. After a few moments, I can pick up on a bit of citrus - not overly tart, but rather very fresh and a bit bitter. More like the rind of lemons and limes. It's a very pleasant combination and I do quite enjoy it. However the drydown is what throws me. After having worn it for a few hours, the sweet floral and sparkling citrus all but disappeared, and I was left getting whiffs of a musky, earthy scent I couldn't quite place from my past. It took me a while, but I finally figured it out. The drydown smells exactly like Calvin Klein's Truth on me. And while I don't find Truth unpleasant, I don't quite like the way it works with my chemistry. I am torn because I want to love this one - the bottle is beautiful and the first few hours of wear are wonderful, but the drydown turns me off.
