Altruist

This is definitely more citrus than rose and honestly it came to life only after reading the interpretation from the brand. It just shows how stories can connect you to the scent once your brain understands what it was intended to be. Before I read the brand story ont his scent it just felt like yet another cold citrus scent but now it grew more meaning and I like it better.

Floral bitter lemons. Not really my cup of tea this one, too feminine for my tastes but even if I was into more traditionally feminine fragrances I’m not sure when I’d wear this its a bit strange with its bitter tones.

Sour balsamic ginger lemons. It has that slight summer sweat with some balsamic, and ginger mix that added some sharp twist. I believe there is saffron as well in here as i can detect the sharpness beside the black pepper & roses. It has kind of milky texture somehow as it gives that sharp moist blend. I never thought that i'd like a fragrance from this house, but this one proved me wrong, it's quite interesting. Edit (21st July 2022) after 4+ years... and right now getting back to this brand, "Altruist" is a bless, it's now (as the drydown) slightly rose sweet with big lemon made of wood and stayed in the back, touch of ginger, & sour sweet amber. I didn't change my liking towards this blend, i guess now i am growing a love relationship with it's balanced sweet citrus rose. The brand in short wrote, "A scent for feminists, cyborgs and survivors"... dunno what that means, but no thank you no political acts, movements for me, i don't see what you see, i see beauty beautiful balanced blend.

This scent is nice and understated. It's like a 'memory scent', and it does convey the scent of cologne in a locker room. It is a smooth blend of amber, lemon, ginger distilled in fresh sweat..that is mostly what I get, but the thing is, it's almost like the late stage drydown of another cologne. It may have higher quality ingredients, but it is like entering a locker room where someone once spilled cK euphoria for men (which has somewhat of a similar profile - ginger, spices, citrus). It is nice, but not sure it is "$160 USD for 50ml nice", when it starts right out of the gate as the faded memory of a skin scent

A very nice pure fragrance. Remember me a richest version of Laine de Verre same pure sensation of fresh with more agrumes and notes and personality.. Officially: bergamot lemon orange flowers ginger blackpepper rose acquatic notes nutmeg cedar vetiver patchouly amber I like it very much. A must for next summer.
