Fougair

I picked up something similar to Nishane ani from this and saw it in the "people who like this also like" space which confirmed my suspicion lol. It's more so a herbal take of Nishane ani than just a dupe with the hint of lavender present in both dior, houbigant and penhaligon's. Eventually making it the more nicer version for those who want ani but less intense and different prominent note. Smooth and peppery just like ani but more herbal. Due to these two fragrances I was able to understand that pink paper had a ton of contribution to both fragrances since that is the similar note that is put as a description and prominent in both perfumes. Second to ani this is a more balanced version and has less spice/ sweetness and more herb/ bitterness than ani (not that it's actually bitter but more so has a little to no sweetness than ani). Edit: tasted this again a month later, smells like a jumble of all this: Dior sauvage + Sartorial + Fogure royale + Nishane ani.

It has all the attributes of a classic, mainstream men's fragrance, playing mostly on the pink pepper/bergamot/cypress aspect. The heart spreads relatively smoothly on something more aromatic, but it remains relatively light on the amber part. It's rather delicate and pleasant, a classic fougère with certainly a little note of lavender, that I don't read in the pyramid though. Not transcended because I think it is very unoriginal, but it does the job in relation to what it advertises - that is to say, to update the historical identity of the house. Well...

Very Sauvagey and also very similar to Jo Malone Silver birch lavender. Really not much else to talk about here. If you like Sauvage, keep it, no need to hurt the payslip.

If I wanted to buy Dior sauvage I would go to Dior’s boutique the brand is supposedly niche and not mainstream although pumping worthless fragrances such is this one I wasn’t aware of the similarities until the mid or the beginning of the dry down What a strange brand either they have straight up bangers or the worst kind of junk you can imagine

Synthetic generic green men's cologne, awful

Despite being marketed as a fougère, what I get here is more of a basic aromatic fragrance. The opening comes across as quite sharp, with hints of cypress, artemisia and other herbal elements dominating the scent. As it dries down, the fragrance becomes more cohesive, although it never develops into anything of interest. I found it pleasant enough, but it did not leave a strong impression on me. Compared to other fragrances in the category, it carries a modern, somewhat "synthetic" character.

Oh my... the drydown is something different.. WAY different than the top note... "For urban free spirits" what they wrote.. and i can see that. This has nothing to do with Sauvage or Aventus (at least for the drydown). This is pretty fougère and balsamic fir. It's the "in the wild" kind of blend with its greenish bergamot patchouli, & cypress mix with hints of woods, or maybe roots. Fougair is inspired by the fragrance that has been released in the 50s with the same name. Beautiful indeed.

I do understand the play of words with the name but you have to spell it properly, like fougère and not « fouGuair » 😂 I heard some sales persons explaining that to me. The scent itself is quite fresh-green and inoffensive, very nice on a sporty guy who usually wears Aventus and Sauvage (this Fougair could be Sauvage l’eau...)

Not sick and tired of new ambroxan bombs? Always wanted a niche quality sauvage? Then this my friend is for you. It's fresh it's new it's sauvage with better ingredients and some fir balsam I love it!

Don't expect classic fougere here. It is a copy of Dior's Sauvage. Period.
