Hypnotic streams of incense tendril their way forward, a powerful provocative scent that grabs you. A little goes a long way and the balance between medicine and poison one must find. Absolute sweetness and spice like brown sugar and honey, cinnamon and saffron and orange zest all wrapped In suede with a shot of bourbon. This scent is penetrative and grounding with heady touch of incense. Very sensual and can be a bit overwhelming. It screams soft dom to me and is not for the people pleasing wallflowers but the quietly powerful maybe a bit brooding and aloof type. I use just a small amount applied as a roll on to my chest, it’s probably not even an entire spary during the day if I want an enticingly mysterious whiff to haunt my aura. I often get compliments and curiosity. I would use 1 spray directly onto clothing if going out for a date night anytime of year or in fall/winter day or night. I often wear this lightly as a base with other floral softer perfumes or oils.

met Jil last summer and purchased this at her stand at a san diego farmer's market. it's an alluring, syrupy (like literal molasses), spiced and honeyed medieval-style mulled orange wine with rich amber coursing through. layers nicely with other scents for some warmth and dimension from the amber. review below mine is spot on in describing it

I sampled this awhile back. I didn't mind it but I didn't love it either. I wish the citrus opening was tamed down a bit. She went way overboard w/ the mandarin. She used 3 different types (the perfumer told me) and I thought it was to much. The base was very nice w/ a warm spicy leather. The top notes just hung around for too long and made the perfume very cloying. It had a gagging sweetness and I like sweet perfumes. I wish there was more leather and a heavier amber instead of all the cloying mandarins in this perfume.

I am experiencing an ungodly amount of suffocation from this fragrance... I genuinely feel like I'm being squeezed into a vise-grip by Kingdom of Navarre. It's one of the first where it got stronger and stronger as I wore it. This is all from just two sprays, mind you. I give all fragrances a fair shake, and it's not that I don't like intensity, but damn. The notes list seems too simplistic for it to be this evil with my chemistry, but it's horrific. Like a boot on my throat. It actually starts off pleasant, certainly an old-world inspired scent, with the orange and leather, perhaps a touch of florals, but that's instantly bull-dozed by the ever-increasing projection of whatever leather note was used. But it's more than just the leather; something else is amplified and off-putting, like I dumped an entire bottle of Colgin's liquid smoke all over myself and rolled around in burnt leather. A very rare instance of a "hate" rating from me. Sorry, Jil.

I bought a mini size after sampling this scent and am ready for a full bottle. The leather and saffron in the dry down fit my scent preferences to the letter.
