Softly Jil Sander

I've never smelled any perfumes that I could compare to this. Not even Noa, to me they're completely different. It's like I've smelled it before, takes me back in time kind of, but I can't put my finger on it. Nostalgic, beautiful, gorgeous. I ordered it and right away I ordered another one I love it so much. So soft and clean, nothing pungent, every note works well with eachother to create a wonderful, light, powdery concoction.

Serene. That's the first word that comes to mind when I think of this lovely fragrance. It is sophisticated and elegant yet light and fresh at the same time - a perfection! The bottle, the name - everything has been thought out beautifully. I've gifted it to a couple of people already and they are totally in love as well. One of my top fragrances for sure, I only wish longevity was better. I will forever repurchase it.

The only thing in common with Shiro is cotton flower and nothing else. Shiro is fresh, cold, clean (I love it though) and Softly is indeed soft, airy, powdery. When I smell it I see a white feather falling from the sky. It is such a pleasant and cosy scent. I love this type of bottle Jil Sander has.

Smells like a detergent.Clean,airy,cold,,androgynous,minimalistic and emotionless .Better than many so-called niche in this genre.

I have ordered a sample, so based on the sample this is just so soft and beautiful. What you get is soft cottony feminine clean and cosy feeling, keep smelling my arm and drifting away. So dreamy. Perfect to spray on a cotton white t-shirt. It has this clean and lotiony quality, could be worm anywhere during the day, spring/summer, will not offend and it's light. Feels feminine and clean as if you just put some clean lotion after taking a shower. The more I am smelling it, it is also reminiscent of 80's soft comforting fragrance,I can't remember the name, but the closest I can describe it in terms of similarity to the fragrances I have will be Loewe "Air Sensual" if you take away the rose note of course, Softly doesn't have the rose, but apart from that note they both share the same/very very similar cosy drydown.

Clean, powdery and soft spicy. Simple but pleasant fragrance. Good for spring and summer, may also work in winter. I find it almost sterile and it that annoys me a bit, but i have to say it’s a good fragrance. It would be great for a nurse or a doctor. Projects well too. Dominant notes to me are ginger, cotton flower and heliotrope. It reminded me of Twilly from Hermes but Softly is well, softer. It also reminded me of Knot Eau Florale from Botega Veneta, but Eau Florale is clearer. Anyways, if you are looking for a spicy and powdery soapy fragrance that is also work approppriate and good for all ages, try this one. Final note: 7,5/10

I loved this musky clean scent, had a few samples, yet always something stopped me from buying a full bottle. Recently I was sampling Hermes Sur La Lagune and after about an hour or so I was smelling this familiar scent, then I realized it was Softly. Softly stays close to the skin, someone has to hug you to smell it so if you wanted something stronger than on drydown smells like this, but with stronger sillage, try Sur La Lagune.

Bought it last summer: simply clean fragrance, white musk, a bit powdery, unoffesnive, hot weather friendly. Now I'm wearing it again and it's different - ginger and magnolia are much more pronounced and the fragrance is a bit sweeter (in fruity way). Spicy nectar with milky and woody undertones. I'm baffled. Strong like.

Beautiful, light, summery, fresh.. reminds me of Douglas Sea Thalasso!

This has a very similar scent profile to 212, pure and maybe a tiny bit like Noa. That kind of vibe! Not identical, but close enough that I'm not sure if I need to keep it yet! It's a subtle but pretty skin scent in a cool bottle. Clean, fuzzy a tad creamy and a quite sweet. Very comforting, but nothing particularly groundbreaking and not very long lasting (on skin!). It’s noticeably reminiscent of Jil sander Sensations too, but not as strong or sweet..... on the skin it’s a cross between 212 (less tangy and with a noticeable cotton note, but pretty close the more they dry down!) and Jil Sanders own sensations! It’s really very nice and would actually be a good scent to have as an overall fuzzy sweet skin but better sort of perfume. I might have to keep this and declutter sensations actually. Not sure I can part with 212 though! Sniffing this next to calvin Klein Obsessed Intense and they're very similar, but softly is lighter. Ted baker woman is also similar! * I just got a tester of Burberry Brit Rhythm and it smells soooooo much like this when it dries down! It’s got that same powdery body cream bar soap musky vibe! They both smell like a hair conditioner I have lol!

So this was a blind buy. It’s soft, clean and smells just like fabric softener. No freshness or twist, which is something I thought the ginger would provide. Too much cotton flower for my taste. This fragrance is both boring and slightly unappealing at the same time. I read the comment with the reference to baby spit-up on a freshly laundered towel, and now I can’t get it out of my head.

Fluffy, powdery, clean scent. Lovely but it stays very close to the skin. This is the type of fragrance for people who don't want to smell like having used a fragrance but like having used an expensive body powder. Not for me though....

Headache in a bottle I bought this after testing for one day and never wore it again Unremarkable. If you're looking for fresh clean out of the shower scents, there are tons that are better and less migraine inducing

I got this for Christmas from someone who I complimented on it earlier in the year (Note to self: Be polite, but watch what you say in the future). From my first encounter a couple of months ago I remembered Softly to be clean & soft. Nice, but way too innocent for my liking. Now that I have it sitting on my shelf I’m trying to befriend it (aka I’m wearing it). Today is day one and the penny has just dropped: On me, Softly smells like a cushioned version of Diesel’s Plus Plus for men from the 90s, tamed with an extra dose of musk. Not a fan of Plus Plus this will be hard to un-smell. So if anybody is interested in a fb minus 3 sprays, please pm me... [update: the bottle has found a new owner]

Softly makes me think of clean washed sheets, air dried, then it turns soapy fast, and I get very little florals...honestly, this is too light, I know it is called Softly, so don't expect any longevity...on my skin, it vanished in 20 mn..what remains is a faint clean musky scent, with a hint of Jasmine... In truth I am not a huge fan of clean scents, this is too detergent like, it lacks warmth, smoothness...well, ok, it doesn't do anything for me,..sending it to my mom.. Jil Sander at times creates the most boringly neutral scents, and Nathalie Lorson didn't venture too far with that one... Makes me think of the Clean line, I know it will please some I suppose, if you love soft clean scents...not very interesting to my nose.

I am eating up all these clean scent samples these days. Light, fluffy, clean, freshly dried cotton, stays close to the skin, a little bit citrussy, I guess the ginger....and very unisex. Not really something that will be noticed as perfume I think more a "freshly washed clothes" kind of scent and I am here for it. Doesnt come off as floral but, from previous experience, try to sample it next to a gourmand or another genre and come back to it - the florals will be very noticeable. All relative. I don't get powderiness more of a crisp freshness.

On my fair skin this is pretty strong: cotton, powder, intensive orange blossom and heliotrope on a musky base. Iris could be there too, although not listed. Ginger, jasmine? Not really. It is clean, but to me not too soft actually, fresh but still comfortable. This is for someone who knows her value. I'd say it is a pretty elegant scent if you like simple combinations and don't need to impress anybody. Still quite unique. Could be unisex, no doubt. Somehow it reminds me of Prada Infusion d'iris. If you have that, you don't need this. Like.

Softly smells exactly like a fresh towel soiled with baby spit-up. Imo cotton flower 9 times out of 10 ruins a good musk and usually it ends up smelling kind of flat and toilet cleaner-y. Here, however, the sharpness from the ginger (which I usually love!) comes across as sour. Which in this particular case is an extra unfortunate addition to the mildly sweet vanilla. Without the cotton flower, I bet this would have had the potential of being a very nice scent.

Perfect name for that perfume. It's soft and cozy. Lightly sweet due to Heliotrope or Vanilla but with the right mix of gentle flowers that surrounds you like a white cuddly cardigan. And it's a clean scent indeed. If you are looking for a smooth summerscent that keeps in the background this could be a good choice. Jil Sander is brilliant for fragrances that are elegant but unobtrusive and available for a very good price.

Nothing wrong with this one if you fancy a soft subtle clean scent. I get a lot of ginger which reminds me a little of Bvlgari Blv and I'm sure if like that you should try this. It has a unisex quality to it because it's fresh spicy, woody and clean without being flowery. There are still some nice florals in there, the soft ambiguous magnolia and clean white jasmine. If it pops up on sale I'd pick one up.

I smell clean, good, like new-born babies! The cotton flower is made fresher initially thanks to the ginger, then it softens becoming soft, delicate, precisely its name "sweetly", a delicate musky slightly powdery but never intrusive, takes me back to a childhood smell of after a bath, reassuring and perfect for a moment of tranquility

This perfume has a zen aroma. It makes me think of purity, innocence, blue sky, sun, and the joy of being alive. It's simple and minimalist. Perfect for hot weather, but can be worn all year round because it simply smells clean. If the white color had a smell, this would be.

I fell in love with it in 2018, then fell out of love later, now I love it again but in a different way. Now it's my go to as work safe scent (subtle and neutral), to run errands without losing steam afterwards, and perfect for play dates with pets/friends.

I love "Softly Eau de Pétales" (the pink one) and adore its innocent, feminine note. This blue one has the same softness but it's fresher, colder, cleaner. It also has a pretty unisex touch, it would probably work very nice on men.

As always, I'm astonished that the fragrance is not yet out and there's votes on the notes. Seriously, people? But besides that, this must be mine! It looks unique and understatedly beautiful as Jil Sander does so exceedingly well!

I want this and will order as soon as it pops up on website.
