Strictly Jil Sander Night

Great wearable Vetiver fragrance, unlike lalique Encre Noir. Great Shower gel too. The Deo ik Oke.

I have a strong love for Black Pepper as a note, so when I came across this, it was an instant blind buy. The initial spray is a blast of fresh Black Pepper, supported by a nice undertone of Violet. These two notes dance for a bit, as the fragrance begins to lay off the Black Pepper and slowly transition into subtle floral notes, with an emphasis on smoky vetiver. It does lose a bit of it’s “umph”, but with that, the fragrance takes you on somewhat of a journey. It begins dark, and sharp, and slowly mellows out into something a bit more nuanced and palatable. As it rests into a vetivery, woodsy dry-down, the florals stay subtle while the Black Pepper rests in the back. It dies off as a Woody scent, with emphasis on the smoky/lemony woods that Vetiver brings. While I do wish the Black Pepper was more prominent, this fragrance does a hell of a job balancing the other notes. Very happy to have it in my collection! 8/10

PEPPER, PEPPER ALL AROUND _______________________________________________________ Due to some marketing campaign I received a sample of the STRICTLY NIGHT shower gel. I have to admit it was great. Although all I could sense was the pepper, it is the vetiver and the violet leaf that hold the fragrance together - there's no doubt about it. But unfortunately the vetiver and violet have faded in the background and so stage is left for only the pepper. It resembles immensely to 'BURBERRY THE BEAT' and that is why I don't know if I would buy it (the longevity and price of THE BEAT are great). Longevity: - 6/10 Sillage: - 6/10 All in all: 7 out of 10 points (because it resembles The Beat)

This is a great seduction and date night fragrance. A splashed of seasoned black pepper which is fresh in a way. After 15-35 mins that pepper scent becomes subdue and you get a hint of violet. The vetiver really holds this fragrance down and it is very noticeable but not dirty. The vetiver also brings the pepper back in too. This is a date night scent or close encounter. You will get 6-8 hrs of longevity. Sillage is moderate with 1-2 hrs of strong projection then it draws nearer to you. This is what in my opinion and complements from other that this is an alluring type manly scent that they will want to smell over an over again.

Oh yes this is a very fresh peppery scent, the quality is very good, it somehow reminds me of something Comme des Garcons could have made, yes its that nice in fact, the only problem i have with the scent is that the pepper is so realistic i cant stop sneezing and that can cause some problems, but i still like it and will use it.

This is a vetiver-nutmeg-violet fragrance before pepper and all else...The initial spray made me think of Azzaro Visit for a brief second, without the vanillic-guaiac sweetness of it. In few seconds the vetiver-violet (ionones) backbone became clear, just like TF Grey Vetiver. The black pepper makes a great companion to this blend, it's noticeable but not enough to say this is a black pepper fragrance through and through...I would speculate there's pink pepper here too, I get the same vetiver-pink pepper aspect of Bentley Infinite Rush. Slightly dusty, could be in combination of cardamom but honestly in a blind sniff I wouldn't name cardamom (and also lavender) as major notes. Overall I would describe this scent as a casual, close to skin vetiver-violet blend which has great accents of nutmeg and black pepper. I already own Strictly Fresh and that is a favorite of mine. Smelling Strictly Night made me think this entire Strictly collection is worth to have a look at. I read some good reviews on both women and men releases, though they seem to becoming discontinued here and there.

Very much in keeping with strictly and not particularly heavy. The pepper has been amped up so it feels drier and woodier but it looses the nice aromatic green quality of the original.. There's still a good dose of vetiver here. Overall a little disappointing if you're hoping for a heavy hitter but still worth trying. The bottle is sexy with a white spray top hidden under that black cap.

It is indeed a nice masculine peppary fragrance. However, since COTY is controlling Sander ́s Perfumery her fragrances have turned from "leader" to "follower". We have long figured this is just COTY ́s response to Viktor & Rolf ́s successful Spicebomb. Jil would never have copied a smell - she would have created something new, different and irresistble instead.

elegant and will go well with minimalist black clothing and expensive shoes.
