Strictly Jil Sander

Received this on accident when I hastily tried to order Simply EDP for my birthday. But it was a happy mistake, as this is a surprising love. I really shouldn't be surprised. Jil Sander is my top house precisely because it continues to produce excellent, well-blended, unique, long-lasting, classic scents that aren't trying too hard. This is sweet and spicy. I'm getting some vetiver, but it's not taking over as it likes to do so often. I sprayed this in the crook of my elbow this morning along with about 6 other fragrances on different parts of my arms (I just received a long-awaited delivery, so I was excited). This is the only one that's lasting after my shower, and through the Shalimar Ode Mexique, with which it blends brilliantly, BTW. It is certainly on the masculine side, though I would be thrilled to wear it myself. But I think it's just "boy" enough that I'd prefer it on my husband. Highly recommended! Best mistake I've made in some time!

Solid and modern mens fragrance as always with Jil Sander! Fits her fashion perfectly! One of the best scents for rainy days with moderate temperatures. Best in fall. This also has a certain "sacred" vibe, maybe because I also get notes of olibanum or incense that are not listed above. The opening is very peppery fresh spicy. In the drydown I mainly get the combination of tonka bean and vertiver. However, to my nose it smells also slightly synthetic. But with (purely?) natual ingredients the price would be much higher I guess.. It fits almost every occasion Imo, except for very special events like weddings etc. If you are looking for a nice and incomplicated scent and you are into vertiver, go for this! But do not expect something too special in niche quality! Age group: ~20 - 50

One of the better Jil Sander fragrances. This one has a slight lip stick/face powder taste, but no guy will be threatened but it, this is 100% masculine through and through. The make up vibe is something Dior puts in their mens fragrances, so its soft and slightly sweet. It what sets Strictly apart imo. Initially I felt this was a bit ordinary, it reminds me of a lot of light woody fresh type scents, it has the same feel as HeWood by Dsquared2. But once you live with it a bit and wear it around you get a multi layered interesting scent. Beneath the light and woody exterior there is a vaguely sweet and vaguely spicy backbone. Dries down beautifully with a nice projection. Hard to find but worth looking out for, its a worthy addition to any collection. Thumbs up

My first spray I did not like it but than the dry down came and it was pure love - I really like this one and I have a weak for Vetiver fragrances but not pure Vetiver - this is also a bit peppery with tonka - Tonka beans and Vetiver, a match made in heaven - so much better than the Ultrasense collection

First time i tried this i was unsure if i liked it, now after some use i find it to be a very good fragrance, it smells kinda like old school with a modern twist, nothing like the generic stuff they make today I LOVE THIS FRAGRANCE.

Oh boy, oh boy ! I found a 60ml bottle of this in an old store at ten bucks in a village in pays basque in France. For me Jil Sander perfumes is trash but I connected rapidly to Fragrantica to see if it is a lemon or not, I was happy it is not but even happier when I smelled it. Robust bay leaf nutmeg with a woody finish. It's masculine, woody, warm and refined. It's excellent for winter days. I'm really in love with it at the point I'm looking for a back up bottles now.

I have a very mixed feeling with this one: the initial blast reminds me very much of Moods by Krizia or Rush by Gucci, both of which I really hate, but after an hour it reminds me very much of a softer version of Man Pure / Jil Sander, one of my signature scents in the eighties. Really was in love with that one back then: the revival a couple of years ago didn't really work for me, but I can see myself wearing this in autumn, just breath through my mouth for the first hour ;-)).

I was disappointed by Ultrasense and Ultra/white but this is something I can appreciate. It's a great woody scent and I can see the comparison to Visit but this is not as spicy and has no incense. I find this has a charming sweet and boozy wood quality to it which must come from the Bay nuance (not a powdery sweetness from Tonka). It last a long time and projects well and makes for a an excellent partner to Simply.

Well this is really a surprise as its as hot as a pepperoni. It opens up with a blast of pepper and settles down to a nice vetiver cedar combination. There is also a hint of hidden sweetness given by the tonka note. Thats nearly all there is to this perfume, but hey, its so well done that it is a real pleasure. I definitely recommend this if you're a fervid, mettlesome or conflagrant person.

Not bad! I get only vetiver actually, but what I get is likable. At first sniff I was instantly reminded of Cacharel Homme, but minus the clove. Strictly is a bit sweeter maybe, softer even. I think that must be the tonka. Vetiver lovers should give this a try! 7,5/10

Just got a 1,2ml tester from the store, but apparently this seems to be discontinued. I can't find it in any store, and previous reviews are 5 years old. Never thought Notino had this old testers.
