Sun Pop Coral Pop

This perfume is hard to get - and I know why: -It is fantastic!!! But, that is if you like osmanthus. There is a lot of osmanthus in this beautiful perfum, and this note also makes me understad why oriental teas are scented with these aromatic flowers. Shortly after the osmanthus, I can also smell the orange and the freesia, I think the other notes are there, but they don't make their way to my nose. The longviety is about 4-6 hours on my skin. -And, the bottle and color is of cause GORGEOUS!! -If I ever get the chance to buy a second bottle - I will buy it straight ahead :D

I have tried this today and I absolutely love it! The very colorful bottles of this line have immediately caught my attention and I was very curious to try this scent and the other ones of the line. This is Amazing in my opinion. It is zesty at the very beginning (almost like bergamot). But after some minutes the most gorgeous Jasmine note starts to develop, even if there doesn't seem to be any Jasmine in this scent, all I smell is a very green star Jasmine. It doesn't last so much (4/5hrs), but the sillage is moderate.

Before you buy, make sure you like osmanthus - those tiny white flowers on bushes that bees hoover around, with incredibly fresh but also a bit sharp smell. Because this one is full of them, authentic smelling! It is also very refreshing and energizing fragrance even though it’s full on floral with some hints of mandarin/orange and tiny bit of amber in dry-down. I think it will be my staple for running and gym sessions. It is a sporty as the neon angular bottle in mat coral in comes in 🤾🏄🏻🏌️ All and all a much more successful blind purchase than the original Sun in white bottle - pew, that one was horrible, dreadful.

I just got this one today and I absolutely love it. As a matter of fact I am loving most of this line. Jil Sanders fragrances are very unique and they all have a similar smell to them yet they are all so very different. I don't know what it is but I adore the simplicity of the bottles. I get a sunscreen smell right off the bat out of the bottle. It seems to stay sunscreeny for about 1 minute then it begins to change in a beautiful way. Longevity and silage are not fair however it's still a beauty.

Freesia can't do all the heavy lifting by herself. Other notes aren't helping her at all. Enjoy your 5 minutes of feeble flowers.

Testing Sun Pop Coral was an interesting experience insofar, as it thought me much about quality in fragrance. What made me try it out was the daring and bright flacon and with it the hope for an uncomplicated yet bold summer-scent that I might enjoy wearing. What I got was quite different from these expectations. Throughout the whole experience of 5 hours the fragrance lasted on my skin, Sun Pop Coral mostly remained the highly-saturated tangerine-freesia combo is was from the beginning. Altough it is a favourite note of mine, I could not notice any heliotrope and while the osmanthus was there, it was overall a bit disappointing. Sun Pop Coral is just very much what you would imagine a drugstore perfume to smell like. You get a straight floral with slightly unusual characteristics that really smells of sun and summer - so far, so good. However, it is the quality of the materials that irks me. In general, I am a person that does wear a fair share of fragrances from the same price-range. For instance, I quite enjoy many Demeter fragrances. I don't expect a Malle or a Tauer when I pay €20.- for a bottle. Yet, Sun Pop Coral did not work for me. The whole fragrance smells really synthetic, and not in a good way. Despite the fact that I did notice some degree of ingenuity in the combination of notes (or maybe it is just because I like osmanthus), I could not enjoy the fragrance because it was so one-dimensional. It felt like the simulation of a scent rather than the full-fledged product. I could not help but dislike my experience of wearing Sun Pop Coral. It was not a scrubber, but I would not recommend it to anyone either. There are better options out there even among cheapies. TL;DR: obnoxious freesia on synthetic (in a bad way) osmanthus.

So do all Jil Sander Sun flankers dry down to smell like Jasmine? Even when they don’t have Jasmine Listed?! Starts super green and leafy but then turns into a slightly fruity and to too sweet Jasmine. This is the 2nd Sun flanker one I’ve blind bought that just smells like Jasmine + a few other notes. I’ve ordered arty pink too and now I’m thinking that’s probably going to be the same :(

Sun Pop Coral is very fresh and sparkling with a hint of posh room spray. It's a Mandarin infused but heavy Freesia perfume and like nothing I have ever smelled before. This was a blind buy, as I love the gorgeous bottle but I am not in love with this perfume!! This is NOT a seductive, fun or alluring fragrance. I expected heavy citrus as it has Bergamot, but no, this is a clean, no nonsense EDT for the office or for grocery shopping, picking the kids up at school, especially on a rainy day etc etc...It has great silliage and lasts 5hrs on the skin, on clothes 24hrs. The most important thing is that it's not headache inducing like Sun original and nor does it have any suntan lotion touch to it. 6/10

According to my nose, this is Armani’s My way -minus all the sweetness....so if you are looking for a floral that isn’t sweet at all, go for this one. I personally love it!
