Sun Summer Edition 2020

CARBONATED COCONUT Water & SUNSCREEN. This solar beauty manages to capture the fresh and dusky, but not too sweet, scent of coconut water with a little added fizz. Watery coconut and creamy tiare, supported in the background by a soft fizzy combo of aldehydes, grapefruit and patchouli settles out onto a musky ambrette base with clean touches from orange blossom. There's also an impression of jasmine & white-florals here, but overall there is a coconut-sunscreen vibe with some effervescence. Average or slightly above average for a light summer wearing experience. Overall: Slightly above average performance with a light wearing experience, this is an affordable summer stunner. Enjoy! Comparison to Le Jardin de Monsieur Li Hermes: These are different, especially in the openings where LJDML has more bitter citrus, but there is a similar musky solar vibe in the drydown. Roughly equivalent performance. Update 07/17/24: This really shines in warm weather. Sprayed it on to the back of my left hand today, and I'm getting a lovely projection of something near the creamier facets of jasmine which reminds me of several Hermès scent, especially Le Jardin de Monsieur Li. Up close on the skin I get the sparkling coconut, aldehydes & mineral notes as well. I'm enjoying this more than I remember.

This is so good! I have the original Jil Sander Sun and liked the look of the notes on this summer edition and I'm glad I got a bottle. I blind bought it. It has that lovely summer suntan lotion vibe with extra citrus to lighten it. The grapefruit and solar notes are in the opening and it dries down to more coconut and musk. Ambrette is also one of those notes that I really like. It's so summery and fresh. I love it! The longevity is as expected for an EDT and I think it has good silage too. It's worth trying out. Lovely perfume, go for it, especially of you like suntan lotion type scents.

A very fresh, airy and subtle coconut scent. Perfect for a day in the warm summer breeze. I prefere it to Rem Coco, which is another fresh aquatic coconut fragrance. They are quite similar and I like them both, but Rem Coco is so strong and long lasting that I often get tired of it before it starts to wear off, while Sun Summer 2020 is light and breezy and at its price point I have no problem reapplying during the day when I feel like it. This really is summer in a bottle for me.

The Best Suntan lotion smell ive ever smelled :D not long lasting, poor projection but its still very nice, im just in love with this fragrance :D

Just realized I never got around to reviewing this. I liked the scent, sort of sun tan lotion-ish, I got a soft, warm-ish smell. It made me sneeze. teary eyed, uncontrollably. I bought it for my birthday last year-my two favorite colors! a light scent of a kind I did't have yet!-, and wanted to wear it, having it match with a friend (she liked what I was wearing. I asked her if she'd consider buying another years, rather than the exact same one). Realized I am also allergic to coconut, so my joy over finding a "Sun"that didn't contain stonefruit was shortlived. Gifted it to another friend, so I guess Sun will smell like friendship, eventually

It smells like the old FA shower gels - very soapy and warm, somehow brought a childhood memory of being on the beach and taking a shower there , getting rid of the sand etc. :)) It is a bit suntan lotion-y , I wish it was more of that but it's mostly fresh ! Thank God it has nothing to do with the original Sun. It lasts 20 minutes on me so it has zero longevity . I guess in the summer it will be more potent and suitable for warm weather. It's like a deodorant to be honest so I won't buy it again .

Refreshing and sparkling coconut water-scented suncream. Literally like a suncream mist you spray on, has all the lightly citric and solar effects. Perfect for hot weather, definitely needs to be reapplied. Doesn't go above arms' length projection.

This is a very soapy, fresh out of the shower kind of fragrance. I think this will be nice for hot summer days on the beach. The OG Jill Sander Sun has been in my collection for many years and I do have to say that I still prefer the OG.

Summer in a bottle! Smells like sunscreen first then in the dry down you get this powdery musk and a kick of black current. For sure my new go to summer scent.

Bought this one by accident when trying to order the original Sun. Ended up liking it though and Im pleased. Its tropical clean coconutty and soapy in my opinion. Really reminds me of JLo Glow Miami - not exact same but if you like one, you'll probably like the other. I imagine this will do great in hot weather with the clean light citrusy slight coconut vibes.

I have weakness for Jil Sander, and since this one was quite cheap I did not hesitate to blind buy. The initial scent was bubble gum type, but I did not hated or loved it. For a few minutes I was thinking should I keep it or give it a way. But the dry down come fast and eventhought i still smell the bublle gum,it has more suntan lotion vibe, vieled with a powder. I could not detect the single fruit, it was that bublle gum feel that reflects those fruits. It is gently sweet, but not overhelmingly so it was clear that I will keep it. The silage and projection is decent, and for the price of 20 USD per 100 ml is more than worth it for summer beach day.
