Iris Crush

I am one of those pepole who arrived too late to the Lipstick On by Margiela party so I had to find a replacement. Here comes in to help Iris Crush, my new crush indeed! The lipstick genre in fragrance appears to be somewhat populated, afterall, one may think, isn't there a sea of pure iris fragrances, powdery fragrances, and feminine, rose centric florals? Wrong! They are there but they are not truly lipsticky. I am a makeup junky, studied its history and applications, it often is a lens on historical climate and how women viewed themself in those period. And it is not just make up...it is confidence in a stick (in the case of lipstick), an empowerment of sorts, a little joy we women have. What pepole like me, or simply perfumers enthusiasts, look for in lipsticky fragrance is the waxy dimension. That beautiful, creamy and sticky sensation, reminiscent of old times, of stolen kisses, of the secret escapades done in the middle of the night when we were children in to our mothers prohibited makeup bags! I am happy to report everyone, Iris Crush opens with the most beautiful waxy lipstick sensation, a smell so strong you can almost feel that lipsticky texture on you. And for your joy I shall tell you more: it is the wax of old!!! The waxy smell that L'Oréal and Revlon lipstick had in the 80's, 90's and before! This is a slightly old lipstick, well loved, not just opened, oh no! It is not yet turned but in that stage when the fragrance has slightly gone away and you are left with the most pure waxy, flower tinged, smell. This is what happens in the opening, and it lasts for a good while. Then the fragrance starts to open to its floral components, sweet freesia and iris, the wax always on the back, never lost. There is a slightly vanillic feel and the heliotrope is the most powdery and floral, the almondy undertone it usually has is not present in a strong way, such as to bring the fragrance outside makeup territory. Dry down is consistent with the declared notes, heliotrope blends beautifully in to white, fluffly and sweet musk, the tonka beans open themself to a slightly confetti smell, patchouli grounding the experience. Something sugary in the back. Feminine and kind. But also seductive as the line promised. I am quite thrilled to have found something that can finally rival Lipstick Rose, Lipstick On and Goutte de Mercure in terms of waxiness. Each of them has a peculiar element in it, besides the waxy undertone, there is no rose note in Iris Crush so it is a welcomed addition to the genre for me. What follows is a personal experience, so if you are already bored I salute you, if you want to keep reading let me bring you in to one of the most special day of my life, when I was a child, which this fragrance remainded me of immensely! My town was preparing a special fair that day, all the people would be impersonating someone from the past of the town, a sort of historic fun fair with old automobiles and instruments. Me and my best friend would be "the lady and the gentlemen", the most rich town citizens. I asked for help to my glamourous cousin, I was just a child...already dreaming in my home of the world of fashion, looking everywhere for magazines. She had the most impressive makeup collection (which I confess, I always pepeed in when going to her home, with the pretense of "going to the bathroom"). She applied on me the most intense red lipstick, embellished me with eyeshadow and eyeliner, powdered to perfection my already pale complexion, she even accentuated my beauty mark with black pencil, a là Marilyn Monroe! And I had an hat with a net on my face that day! I can smell the excitement of those preparations with Iris Crush, smell her Dior makeup bag, hear the old Chanel lipstick sound, it opened and closed with a "click" sound!! And the fair...the amazement of my parents...the confetti they throw on us (an Italian custom for good luck), smell of sugar in the air. What a special day it was...what a special fragrance I have found. Edit: one unexplored little gem in the genre is Hilde Soliani, Vecchi Rossetti in her line Teatro Olfattivo di Parma, you may find it also internationally. Like being in an old theater, smelling the actor preparing in her/his makeup! Edit 2: yes the carroty undertone is present, slightly erathy and sticky, a must I think to obtain that waxy and powdery feel. Edit 3: it is a bomb! Pepole stopped me 3 times. Seductive for sure and with huge sillage. Edit 4: personally I feel lipstick is gorgeous on men too! I would love to have a boyfriend and put makeup on him!

This is lovely. I love iris in perfumes and the scent of lipstick and powder. This is a powdery, buttery irisy lipstick with a fruity raspberry note on a vanilla base. It's quite buttery and waxy and definitely has that lipstick note (which I love) but I can see it is niche and some may not appreciate the oddity of the note. It does remind me of some rollerball lip oils I used to buy from either Savers or Superdrug in the UK (I can't remember which!) when I was a teenager in the early 2000s, they had lots of different flavours but it's that synthetic fruity lip product note in there, it's so interesting! It doesn't last too well on my skin, probably only 4-5 hours which is a shame as it's lovely but it doesn't project that well. It's quite inoffensive and I can't see people disliking it that much. The 125ml bottle is huge but it's expensive, though I got a second hand bottle for a great price. **Edit: I've recently tried on paper La Vie Est Belle L'Elixir and the opening was extremely reminiscent of that unusual, waxy, buttery, iris/raspberry lipstick note that dominates Iris Crush, I've had the blotter for a couple of hours and it's getting more fruity and that gorgeous buttery lipstick note is fading away a bit as the juicy fruits are taking over.

One of my favorite fragrances. I read about it here in an article about lipstick fragrances, which I love. I love iris- and I have many of the popular ones. I have lipstick on, French kiss, Dior homme 2011 and I got it for a very good deal. It has a magical aura about it unlike any other fragrance. Rarely a fragrance will have a magical aura, and I was shocked that this one does have such a magnetic and special one. It is a very special fragrance, and great for layering. It is simple; vanilla, iris and maybe a hint of raspberry. It is my favorite iris scent I have ever smelled. I love gourmands and I love lipstick. I want to try more from this line but I’m afraid nothing can compare to the textural bliss of the smoothness of this one, and the radiant aura it possess. It also is very nice on clothing and sheets. Cannot recommend this stuff enough if you like sweet vanilla iris or iris heavy lipstick fragrances. Edit: Tried the vanilla love from this and it’s sweeter and comparable to guerlains Double Vanilla. This line is (so far) guerlain quality and I’m sad they discontinued it - although I definitely don’t mind the grey market prices! I can’t imagine anyone topping this one though... it’s in my top 5 atm

Iris Crush is simply beautiful. Powdery, cosmetic-y, lots of iris. I love the lipstick note! One of my favorite fragrances is Lipstick Rose but I think I like this better. (I wish I could compare it Lipstick On, but even the samples of that are eye-wateringly expensive.) This is airy and feminine with a sophisticated edge, like if a lavender unicorn was also somehow the youngest partner at a law firm. She's cool, composed, and she has the most glorious mane in the office. Probably the only mane actually The performance of Iris Crush is unfortunately a bit on the soft side. It lasts maybe 3-4 hours, and radiates about 12-18 inches. I wish it had more oomph, I'm going through my bottle quickly. But I'm a hopeless oversprayer so take this with a grain of salt. Also, the name. It's a tongue-twister. I've given up trying to say it. Whenever I do say it out loud I wind up saying "Irish Crush" and that, well that's another website entirely. Overall though, Iris Crush is a 9/10 ------ ETA: Woo hoo! I found a sample of Lipstick On. I'd say Iris Crush and Lipstick On are very similar, more than 90% the same. So if you're a fan of Lipstick On, give Iris Crush a try. It's a very solid substitute.

I had so much faith in this fragrance and in the end my hopes were not in vain and all the good things I believed about it were fulfilled, a fabulous scent of cosmetic iris in the most feminine way with a powdery drydown but nothing intrusive, and for those who have doubts if it is similar to Lipstick On let me tell you that it is, I could risk to say that it is the best dupe of LO, only that Iris Crush is a little bit sweeter, fresh floral, less creamy, vanilla and warm. If you ask me the big difference I feel between the two is that in IC we have a carrot iris from beginning to end but still, the cosmetic/makeup sensation prevails totally in the life of the fragrance, of the whole Seduction collection I would say (so to speak) that this is the most complex, abstract and unique scent in terms of composition. Its durability and projection are good to fair. Undoubtedly the best of the bunch. You might like: Lipstick On MMM, Silver Iris Atelier Cologne, 1889 Moulin Rouge Histoires de Parfumm, Lipstick Fever Juliette Has a Gun & La Vie Est Belle Iris Absolu Lancôme

Just tried this today: It's like if an old lady perfume was reformulated and marketed to be more youthful & current, but not in a bad way. It has the definite lipstick note, which is what I was looking for, but is not as stuffy/musty as Lipstick On. Lipstick On has a more vintage sophisticated/mature vibe, whereas this one has a bright, sparkling, fruity note that is common in a lot of younger "pink" and "red" fragrances of today. Sweeter and juicier, and slightly less powdery than Lipstick On. Less mothballs & hairspray, more vanity drawer with Bonnebell flavored chapsticks, luxury cosmetics, & floral-scented blush tins. Think Lana Del Rey, not Elizabeth Taylor. Perfect makeup scent with a juvenile twist. I don't see it paired with expensive delicate sweaters & retro housewife dresses like Lipstick On- the girl who wears this likes sparkle and showing off. Very overtly feminine/flirty/fun. Overall would recommend to scratch that addictive lipstick-note itch. But do not expect austere elegance, this one is upbeat & bubbly.

A long time ago I decided to try Lipstick On and I fell in love with the samples I received. Just before I fell in love it was discontinued and the only bottles available were exorbitantly priced. I bought a partial bottle because it called to me & I had to have it. There were so many iris fragrances that were compared to it and none of them captured that waxy lipstick smell with the vanilla, fruity, patchouli background it possessed, until now. This is it. It might not be a 1:1 dupe but it’s very, very similar. It’s the closest I’ve come across. Beautiful, lipstick, sweetness, and nostalgia. It’s not as dark as LO but it’s fruity, creamy, and every bit as delicious. I’m definitely happy. I LOVE the notes in this. I’ve decided I love this just as much if not more than LO. I’m just fan girl ing over hoe much I love Jimmy Cho’s fragrance line.

Absolutely lovely. Such an elegant fragrance... I'm not even sure if I'm that much of a lady to wear this perfume. 😜 But never mind... It's still a love from me and I enjoy wearing it so much. If you want a real lipstick-like fragrance, I truly and whole-heartedly recommend this one. Of course, how we perceive scents is highly subjective... But I still dare to call it a lipstick perfume. 💄💄💄 It has this beautiful, lasting bitter-iris element and sweet, vanillic powderiness with a hint of waxiness that screams "lipstick" to me. Like vintage, 1990s lipsticks of my mom... It's such a velvety, smooth smell. Decent longevity and sillage, too. Worth the price in my opinion and among my favorites. Signature-worthy. :)

Probably my favorite makeup-y perfume, and I’ve tried a lot! It really is that good. It’s a beautifully refined blend of buttery iris and that nostalgic, waxy lipstick accord, all softened by heliotrope and a touch of sweetness. It captures that vintage makeup profile perfectly, but in a modern way where it never feels heavy. Sillage in my experience is quite strong, so I spray lightly, which is fantastic because I want this to last as long as it can! Truly a masterpiece of the genre. Edit: I recently got a sample of lipstick on and it's very, very similar. Lipstick on is probably bit less dusty, more bright and fruity.

First, there's more notes than what Fragrantica lists. Top: pink pepper, Neroli, freesia Heart: heliotrope, lipstick accord, iris Base: musk, Tonka bean, patchouli Ok I freaking love this. It opens with a fruity and powdery sweet-tart vibe. Then as it dries down the lipstick accord appears. It's sweet, powdery, fruity, slightly floral and feminine. It's so pretty. To me, this is like Guerlain French Kiss and Replica Lipstick On had a baby. It's stunning. But if you don't like Iris or powdery scents it probably won't be for you. I'm getting fruity & powdery sweet-tarts throughout the whole wear. I'm obsessed!

If you remember Lipstick On from Maison Margiela, this is exactly the same scent. I was so disappointed when that was discontinued, I searched high and low and this was exactly the same. Such a beautiful Iris scent mixed with freesia (another floral I love) in dry down this turns powdery lipstick iris. I love this type of scent. This leans a bit more feminine but anyone can wear this! Lasts forever on me even after a shower. Love this! Well unfortunately again discontinued and hard to find 🤬. I’ll keep searching for another Iris/Lipstick fragrance. Please stop discontinuing beautiful fragrances!!!

What a wonderful perfume. At a moment it smells of bread, then of cream, then of ice-cream, then of jam. Warm, rich, comforting, caressing. A beautiful combination of Iris butter with vanilla and some fruity touches. Longlasting and intense but not unpleasantly. It has some similarities with La vie est belle Lancome, but much more refined and luxurious, with Petite Robe noire Guerlain but less fruity, with Lipstick rose by Frédéric Malle but it smells like a much more modern interpretation of the iris theme. One of the best sweet iris perfumes for me.

I can bathe in this stuff, I love it so much! It's powdery, but it has a fresh, sharp note that I absolutely adore! It is very feminine and timeless! It is a scent that will evoke nostalgia and make you think of your grandma, but it is definitely NOT an old lady perfume! It is classic, but does not feel old! I bought it because my beloved MM Replica Lipstick On was discontinued, and they are definitely very similar!

Juicy, sugary red berries and a powdery lipstick accord - girly, delicious and very potent. Waaaay more sweet and fruity than the cold glamour of Lipstick Rose, way less waxy/lipsticky than Incarnata and way more sexy and vivacious than the medicinal, prim French Kiss.

Such a good fragrance, its like In the middle of Guerlain French kiss and Martin Margiela Lipstick On. A little more makeupy than French Kiss but less lipstick waxy than Lipstick On. if you are a fan of both or either one, its a must try.

You are killing me with all this suggestion of lipstick fragrances I did not know, just yesterday I bought last bottle of Goutte de Mercure and decant of Lipstick On. This is an obsession. My review for this is below, by the way!!!

ADORE this fragrance! It is so feminine and elegant and it is hands down the best lipstick smelling perfume I have ever come across. It is very sweet and powdery and cosmetic smelling which I love! 10/10 💄

Such a creamy Iris 🤩🌸 It has been a delight to wear for 3 hours now. Classy all the way. The drydown becomes a bit more Sweet. If you are into powdery frags, this is a safe blind buy.

If you loved Lipstick On from MM then this is your new love! Smells exactly the same! Iris makeup powder pleasure! Love this type of fragrance. I want to try more from this brand.

I deeply miss the sample that I had of this. it’s such a perfect scent and I remember getting in the shower well over 12 hours after applying and still smelling it on my skin

Stunning! Similar to my beloved Lipstick On, but not quite. This is a more mature fragrance, definitely for the over 35 crowd. Floral, powdery, long-lasting!

It has somewhat of a soda smell when you first spray it, then lipstick, but it dries down into something beautiful. Love it, my current favorite.

Love it, so simple, beautiful, easy to wear ..comforting and you can layer it with fruity stuff :) Great for the winter :) Powdery for sure :)

Closest I've found to the sadly discontinued, MMM Lipstick On. Just gorgeous. Best part is, it lasts & lasts. Total love

These notes are definitely incomplete. Why they always want to keep the sauce a secret, I don’t know. I detect tonka, vanilla, ambrette, violet, rose, and maybe even a little heliotrope. The review below mine describes this perfume very well. Iris Crush opens with a sweet tonka bean and waxy lipstick note, very reminiscent of Lipstick On. It transforms into a more doughy-like orris with a nutty, slightly musky ambrette note. It finally settles into a powdery iris with some faint floral in the background, possibly the freesia, and a little bit of violet and rose. There are some wafts of vanilla as well, which also has a purple, heliotrope type feel to it, but the powder dominates. Neroli can be a death note for me and it is completely imperceptible in this fragrance (to me). The iris is of a very good quality, and reminds me a bit of Iris Torréfié, but with a little more femininity. I’ve been looking for a backup bottle of Lipstick On, but I feel this fills that void. I’d say this is the closest perfume to a replacement that I’ve ever smelled, although it still has its own personality. The price is steep, but for 125ml I think it’s a reasonable splurge. If you couldn’t tell already, I’m in love with this scent!

It opens like a raspberry soda or a Cherry Coke. It's a big blast of super fruity sweetness that fades suddenly. It briefly turns into a papery iris, vaguely reminiscent of Chanel Misia, and then back to soft raspberry mixed with powdery violets. This fragrance is growing on me, and it always gets compliments. It lasts decently on clothing but fades faster on my bare skin. I believe the dry down is worth waiting for because it actually smells the way Bvlgari Rose Essentielle smells from the start! Now that I own both, there's no denying the similarity. So if heavy raspberry isn't your thing, and you own Bvlgari Rose Essentielle, (which has blackberry instead) then you're set! Full fragrance notes are as follows: Head: pink pepper, neroli, freesia Heart: heliotrope, lipstick, iris Base: musk, tonka bean, patchouli Not sure what is giving raspberry/cherry cola, but it's undeniably there!

Lipstick scents seem to be out of fashion here lately, but if you can find this snatch it up. Lipstick On prices are insane, at least with this one you can still get it at its original retail price. Creamy iris with fruity sweet tart raspberry waxy lipstick. It is exactly what it was made to be. If you want to really smell what it's like, go find a Jimmy Choo lipstick. It's the scent of all his lipstick line. Gorgeous. Edit: I don't like the bottles. The lid is very heavy and doesn't firmly attach to the neck. It falls off a can very easily chip your stone or quartz bathroom counters to say nothing if you have it on a glass vanity tray. I have all of this line (I like them, with a serious love for Vanilla Love) but I can't stand the lid/bottle, it would have been so much better had they been magnetic.

Just wanted to add that I found an interview where Jimmy Choo's Caroline Durmur says that there are red fruits in the fragrance! So the raspberry I'm smelling is not in my head. "The fragrance opens with a fresh bouquet of neroli and freesia surrounded by sparkling notes of pink pepper highlighting the brightness of these delicate flowers. The heart, intense and ultra-feminine, unveils iridescent and powdery iris notes modernized by the sweet and vanilla facets of heliotrope. And for a reference to the red carpet, so symbolic of Jimmy Choo, I created a lipstick accord dressed in juicy red fruits. In the dry down, a woody and oriental structure composed of ambery inspired musks, tonka beans and patchouli underlines these carnal flowers and signs the fragrance."

Testing this as a replacement for Lipstick On, and this is nice. It's more floral than LO, and overall, lighter/more transparent. It's nice, but it looks like this is also becoming hard to find. Is a safe blind buy if you are a fan of iris/lipsticky fragrances. So far, the best substitute for Lipstick On that I've found is La Vie Est Belle Iris Absolue.

Powdery floral and easy to wear day or night. Although "sweet" is not listed in the main accords, the dry down is semi-sweet. Iris Crush is feminine and nice for those who enjoy powdery fragrances.

This smells like Black Tie and Shalimar Millésime Iris had a baby. I wish it was more powerful. This is perfect to wear to bed. Beautiful scent but baby soft.

As a lover of the house of Jimmy Choo, this one disappointed me. I adore iris and heliotrope so it isnt that these accords dont work. However the longevity and depth of this perfume is just too weak for me to enjoy it. I think the composition is beautiful yet Prada's Infusion D'Iris still works better. I maintain that Jimmy Choo Jimmy Choo is one of my all time top 10 perfumes and remains so. Maybe I set my sights too high on this one. If you are going for iris Prada brings you a much better experience.

This is a very earthy and sweet iris, it smells more like orris root with a lot of sweetness added to it. It was a disappointment for me as I wanted an iris note a bit more powdery rather than earthy and sweet. I approached the sample with expectations but if you are on the lookout for a sophisticate, this will do the trick for you.

On fabric- pepper note is more forward and irritating to my nose. On Skin- it’s prettier, more smoother and buttery. Getting a heavy waxy vintage lipstick smell. Don’t think this is a safe blind buy. For me this is not very appealing.

A bone-dry chalky iris with a hint of fruitiness (from freesia?); the most true-to-note fragrance in the collection...not bad

Overwhelmingly candied and sweet. I never seem to understand how this sweetness can be perceived as remotely similar to a cosmetic scent.

In a candied hinterland, somewhere between Lipstick On, Lipstick Rose, and La Vie Est Belle resides Iris Crush. Part waxy lipstick, part cherry snow-cone. Or “fruitchouli meets orris-butter jellybeans.” Or “sweet-tarts disappearing into a velvety, lipsticked pout.” An endless carousel of references to makeup-powder-candy-perfume. Youthful, girly, and cheery — yet it smells posh. Has that pleasant, borderline-ammoniac zing of heliotrope, like fizz in the nostrils. The base notes are a solid scaffolding without being heavy — both memorable and yet ephemeral, like a lipstick kiss left on a cocktail napkin. Lasts decently long on fabric, but has pretty poor longevity on skin (I have wondered if 120ml bottles tend to herald a poor staying power, inviting you to spray that tall-boy with abandon!) in spite of the fact that each spray seems concentrated with quite a bit of oil. A very, very close replacement for Lipstick On, though I still insist there is nothing quite like LO. Iris Crush lacks the dusky powderiness of LO — the depth of bourbon vanilla, tonka, and what always smells to me like a slight hint of cedar. Iris Crush’s references may be retro, but its lipstick accord is modern and ultra-sweet. LO is sweet, too, but it’s a tad bitter (thanks, galbanum) and has that dusty, haunting, unnameable whiff of the idealized past... (Re: the bottle — if you, too, are concerned that the cap is covered in loose gold glitter, thankfully, it is not; it’s a pleasantly heavy gilded cap with a dimpled texture. Looks great atop this super-pretty bottle!) (And as someone noted below, J*mashop currently has this for 85 USD. Waaay better than the 200-something price on the JC website. Even considering a back-up!)

Iris Crush feels like a warm hug, enveloping you in a scent that radiates nostalgia and elegance. It brings to mind an old-world lady, impeccably dressed for an evening out. She’s adorned with lipstick, makeup, perfume, hair products, and lotions—dolled up to the nines. It’s a scent that instantly transports me back to how my mother and grandmother smelled while preparing for grand events. While this description might suggest something dated or overly mature, Iris Crush is anything but. It’s a lipstick-y, powdery, creamy iris with just the right touch of sweetness. The fragrance exudes a sense of trustworthiness and warmth, making you feel like the most polished and put-together person in the room. It doesn’t just make you smell impeccably groomed—it feels like this is your natural aura, as though you’ve transcended the need for perfume. Unlike the “clean girl” scents of today—often citrusy, aldehydic, or musky—Iris Crush is a retro take on the concept. It’s for the glamorous clean girl who loves beauty, embraces fragrance, and isn’t afraid to go all out. A maximalist clean girl, if you will. It’s a scent that I absolutely adore.

Red berries are conspicuously missing from the notes list...and by extension I would say that "fruity" and "sweet" are missing from the main accords. At least the first 30 minutes of wearing Iris Crush are very much colored by a fruity effect that is alternately raspberry lipgloss and cherry snowcone by turns. (On an off day, I get a slight whiff of raspberry fluoride.) Perfumer Anne Flipo confirmed in an interview (which I cannot find at the moment) that there are, indeed, red berries in the lipstick accord. The freesia in the top notes is very much evoking a 90s Bath and Body Works vibe: nostalgic if not sophisticated. I would say this becomes richer and more sophisticated as it dries down. It sort of goes from lipgloss and fruity hair products -- both with a healthy dose of pink pepper -- to a richer, rosier, more powdery, full-bodied, retro cosmetic scent.

Perhaps I should review this fragrance on its own merit and not as a dupe for LO. BUT... let’s not pretend as to why we’re all here. I think I’ve tried all the LO “dupes” at this point. And honestly, these are two wholly different fragrances. Main differences here are - Iris Crush is missing the vinyl aspect from the galbanum and the heft of that yummy, decadent vanilla/tonka base of LO. Iris prominence is similar in both but leans more floral in Iris Crush as opposed to buttery in LO (could be my nose deceiving me here, reading iris as buttery due to the other notes). LO is sweeter too. IC is sufficiently waxy in terms of lipstickness (apparently it’s got a straight up lipstick note??). I do prefer LO still, but this scratches that itch. TLDR - LO leans sweet vanilla, this one leans floral. Although I wouldn’t call them dupes, it is very very close.

This is a sweet, spicy~ish, fruity iris. A bit candied, maybe? I enjoyed the first few times I wore, but I have others that fill this spot so I sold it. Unusual for me, I tend to be very possessive of my fragrances ~ but I have so many now that a 3.4 oz bottle would never had been used even a quarter. I wish more fragrance houses would go the 30 or 50 ml size bc I would have kept it. If you are looking for a sweet Iris perfume to do daily duty, you can't go wrong with this one. Jimmy Choo make up line made all of their lipsticks smell like this fragrance, they're divine. Edit: I bought it again, it's hard to find a real lipstick waxy fragrance. But that's what it is, Not an iris only. I really dislike when a fragrance delivers exactly what it promises and someone who wants something different disses it, lol. It can't be what it wasn't made to be.

what. the. ****. smells like metal. oof.... no..... this makes me not want to blind-buy another perfume ever again. how long do i have to wait for this to sweeten up. freesia is alright depending on the rest of the notes but neroli is just a note that is too sharp, too vegetal, too organic, it's ruining the entire formulation to my nose. i'll give it another sniff in a few months and update the review but for right now, does anyone want to trade for trade? note: i pull cold notes for whatever reason. some perfumes that smell horrific on me, smell great on others and vice versa.

Jomashop has it back in stock for $84. It's not worth the $220 Jimmy Choo or Harrods are asking IMO, but for $84 it's a good perfume if you like Lipstick On and are looking for a replacement. You'll have to go on the site and search for it bc it's not being advertised, though. I'm not affiliated with Jomashop, but I've had great fragranticans pass along tips for getting frags I wanted, so paying it forward.🤍

I'm afraid my brand-new bottle is potentially spoiled due to unsuitable international shipping conditions. All I can smell is intense off-putting leather, along with a sweet cherry vibe that is too synthetic. I'm sure this is not what the perfume should be resembling. Jimmy Choo perfumes are worthwhile, so it's definitely the high temperature and excessive vibrations to blame. A disappointing situation.

This is Lipstick Fever on steroids. It's beautiful but not as classy and sophisticated as Xerjoffs Fatal Charme which I cherish and in my opinion is the most unbelievably beautiful rich French rouge lipsticky fragence on the planet. I only wear that on special occasion. Iris Crush can easily be a signature scent. I'm really enjoying it, its so pretty and on my skin it's beast mode. 💋 💄 ❣️

Iris Crush by Jimmy Choo 1/5 Blind bought a 10mL decant and immediately hated the scent. I thought for sure that I would love this perfume as it has all of my favorites mixed in, but it smelled like stale pepper. I can't speak to the longevity or sillage since I don't think I even gave it a proper wear. Purchased a 10mL decant and resold it. Wore at home. Would not purchase.

A great old school iris and lipstick fragrance, very ladylike, powdery and feminine. Has the 80’s vibe, but expect no retro feeling, only a creamy-dreamy chic like when you put your nose in make-up case, full of powders, lipsticks, foundation creams and eye shadow. A must try and a must buy (IMHO).

Love! It’s like Lipstick On without the patchouli. The creamy iris lipstick note is present for the whole wear, whereas LO tends to go to vanilla patchouli eventually and loses the lipstick. A very close dupe to LO at a great price if you don’t want to worry about finding a discontinued bottle!
