Jimmy Choo Exotic (2015)

On me this is sweet syrupy candies, beautiful sweet florals, and a touch of Patchouli. I love it! I don't care if it's the same as the previous two versions. Who cares? All I care about is what it smells like. Which to me is yummy!!

I have a travel spray of this version and a full bottle of the 2014 release (orange bottle). They smell exactly the same. I wrote a review for the full bottle and will cut and paste it here since they are the same fragrance in a limited edition bottle... {Jimmy Choo Exotic is what you would hope for in a summer flanker to the original. It carries the DNA of the original, but is a little lighter on the skin with the brightness and freshness from the fruit notes. The opening has that bright, freshness from the grapefruit and the slightly deeper, juicy fruitiness from the black current. As it dries on the skin the same floral/patchouli from the original are there with the toffee being replaced with a juicy raspberry. I still really enjoy the original Jimmy Choo EDP, so this flanker is a strong like for me. If you really don't like the original, Exotic may not be for you as that DNA is very present. I do find the fruits really tame the patchouli, it might be enough for people who are on the fence with the EDP. Jimmy Choo Exotic was their summer releases for a few years in a row. From what I can tell, it is always the same fragrance in a new bottle each year. I have the orange bottle (2014 release) and a travel spray of the aqua bottle (2015 release) and they smell identical. The notes for all versions are the same. I don't think they are producing it anymore, but I still see bottles pop up on discounters every so often. I wear this in the warmer weather when I am in the mood for a little Jimmy Choo, but It really works in all weather. It's a fun, slightly sexy feminine fragrance that I would wear day or night in casual situations. The performance is just OK. The longevity is fine, lasting 4-5 hours and much longer on clothes. But the projection is very light almost from the start. I get a light projection for about an hour, then it is just a little more than a skin scent for the rest of the wear. I don't find the performance any better with a heavier application. Topping up part way through the day will get much better results than overspraying. I like the bright, fun colours of the Exotic bottles. They suit the fragrance well. I really wish I had the aqua bottle instead of the orange though. I just love that colour!}

smells like these bluish green candy mints old ppl used to give me when I was little lol but after awhile I mainly smell the black currant. Idk I love it, its very different

Just found a sample of this at the bottom of my stash and thought why not? What could I possibly have to lose? Well for once my olfactory sense. I’d really miss it, especially when smelling an opened bottle of water to see if it’s really water or misplaced palinka. Back to the important thing, this smelled like canned pineapple to me before I saw here it was supposed to be grapefruit and cassis. Sure, I could call it that way too since I can detect some elusive bitter top notes, which disappear in 2 minutes max leaving only the sweet syrup of canned pineapple. Strong, in an unpleasant way. Will wash it before it has time to damage my nose, there’s no way this could turn interesting.

The bottle is such a lovely colour, I really wanted to like this. But it has a very strong blackcurrant/menthol smell to it that reminds me too much of the taste of those mentholated sweets like Lockets.

Got a sample from Sephora.. Sprayed it on after getting dressed to go out and had to change my outfit. I smelled like a medicine cabinet.Definitely not for me.

This is one I've had a lot of comments on this Spring/summer, I can pick out the Black current on the opening and the passionfruit on the dry down (super lovely like a back garden fence covered in Passionfruit Vine) but I don't know where this Patch is suppose to be? never mind. it's really good, it is a 'expensive smelling' fruity scent, fun and sexy. Raspberry in this one is not the run of the mill "sugar raspberry", (that is paired with vanilla so often in current trend) it's very real and not overly sweet. Scent 8/10 Bottle 9/10 (2015 edition aqua/green) note: different coloured bottles of Exotic smell the same.

an amazing scent!.. longlasting... try to imagine Haribo .. all of these egzotic bears ... it's sweet but not too sweet!!!... with that oriental, modern note... it's TROPICAL and unique like her sister "Jimmy choo" very femini... sensual! it's not too heavy... and not powdery at all!!! it's for ladies who like to smell in cristal way...

I wish the initial raspberry blast (reminiscent of juice mix ie - crystal light) would last longer. I also wish the patchouli would be quieter ... it's soooooo loud in this fragrance. It's all I can smell. I don't dislike patchouli but I wish there was so much less of it in here - it overtakes and overpowers every other note.

Why...????? Why the same cologne only in a different bottlecolour??? Aaaaahhhhhh, i know!! Because the 2013 scent was so amazing, they've dedicated their company in producing it forever, and in several colours for 12-year-olds to collect the empty bottles!!!

Again.. Not a new flanker.. Just a new bottle.. Matter of fact, same scent, same bottle, new color.. Hmm... We're suckers, aren't we? ;)

Same scent as the rest but for some reason this one seems sweeter and lighter.
