Jimmy Choo Man Extreme

I don't care what the note breakdown says, there's most definitely a nice juicy citrus in the opening and I actually thoroughly enjoy this stuff. Of all the Savauge line, Elixir and Parfum are my favorites but they are both pretty limited to cooler weather. The Parfum is the one that resembles this fragrance most of all others, it's like they took the low sillage and great longevity of that version and transferred it over, freshened the opening up with red thyme to give it some herbal heat and added a juicy bergamot to really grab your attention and then don't want to tell anyone it's in there, though it's easy to pick up right after application. Then they just removed the vanilla and olibanum and this is what you have. A perfect for year round use, very smoothed out and not in your face Savauge with low sillage but excellent 10+ hour longevity. Once it reaches the normal $45 price of a Jimmy Choo at discounters it'll be a great deal and easily blind buy safe for anyone who likes ambroxan heavy frags.

Smells like Sauvage Parfum and lasts about as long. It's not a bad fragrance at all and I totally recommend this for all non fragrance people. If all you need is to smell good for a few hours, get this! It's cheap and smells good. If you want it to last longer just over spray a bit on clothes and you're good. Should make it most of the way on an 8hr work day. If not carry a 5ml travel atomizer.

This is a first time fragrance for me been wearing for a couple of months and this has brought me a good amount of compliments and I really enjoy the smell it's just has a light projection but I highly recommend it as a first time buy and it's not too complex or nothing it's nice simple nice smelling and brings compliments I also don't see all the comparisons to dior

I’ve come around to wear pretty regularly, it’s almost like if you took the salty freshness from ADG and took the fruitiness from YSL Y and then the pepper from Sauvage you get this, which all of those frags I love and the combination is actually quite nice, the quality smells nice but performance I wish was better, that’s the only thing holding this back.

I LOVE the way all the Jimmy Choo Man fragrances smell. But they all perform like absolute dogsh!t. Even overspraying Curly Fragrance style does little to improve performance. It's a shame because this one is really nice as well.

first reminds me of eros flame edt mixed with fahrenheit? maybe its just the red bottle lol but it is a ambery gernaium pepper bomb with a smooth sage, i love it!

It smelled a lot better when I tested it at the store, my bottle has this salty/seaweed note to it that jusr doesn’t mix well with the pepper. Performance is eh.

The smell is great, modern, people pleasing. Performance is ass. Macerating this one for a few months at least

It's smells really good, sad that it's kind of cloning of A&B fierce, and overpriced due to that.

#147 of My Fragrance Journey - Jimmy Choo Man Extreme: The Garden Behind the House My grandmother had this small herb patch behind her house. Nothing fancy - rosemary leaning over the path, thyme pushing up through the cracks in the stone, sage just doing whatever it wanted wherever it landed. On a warm afternoon, you'd brush past any of it, and the whole garden would shift. Greener. Sharper. Like the heat pulled the oil right out of the leaves and into the air. That's basically what this fragrance is chasing, and honestly, it gets close. Rosemary, thyme, sage, all thriving under some imagined sun. Not delicate about it either - more resilient than pretty, if that makes sense. There's something almost stubborn in how green it smells. Opens with a crisp hit of pepper, just enough to wake up the herbs without stepping on them. Red thyme's doing most of the work in the middle, clary sage and rosemary woven in so tightly you stop being able to pick them apart after a couple minutes. Which - yeah, I think that's actually the compliment here. I gave up trying to identify individual notes pretty early on and just let it be an herb garden at noon. Green, aromatic, a little sun-baked. Everything turned up without losing the plot. Geranium shows up somewhere in there too, quiet about it - not trying to be a flower, more like it's smoothing the edges off the sharper herbs. Keeps things from tipping into medicinal territory, which happens a lot with this genre if you're not careful. Man Extreme skips the usual heavy wood or sweet amber move a lot of masculine fragrances lean on for "intensity" and just stays clean, green, and a little wired, in a very good way, for most of its wear. Later on, you get amber, vetiver, and tonka rounding things out - warm, woody, nothing dramatic. It's a refined kind of masculine, works fine in an office and just as fine on a Saturday. Feels like a familiar aromatic fougère, polished just enough to feel fresh and effortless. Where it loses a bit of steam is right at the edge of its own ambition. It plays the modern aromatic fougère really well, very controlled, very sleek - but it never actually pushes past that. If you want something that breaks the mould, this isn't it. It's operating well within lines everyone already recognises. And that name - Extreme - feels a bit like false advertising once you notice the projection. Surges out hard in that first hour or two, sure, but then it drops fast into a skin-scent, quiet and close. For something called Extreme, it goes pretty private pretty quick. I don't think it's trying to reinvent anything, and it doesn't need to. It knows what it's doing. Strong first hour, then it settles in close and just... stays there, comfortable, not fighting for the room's attention. Works well for someone who wants a fragrance that does something for them rather than announces itself to everyone else. Vibe: Sun-warmed herbs crushed between fingers. Rosemary leaning over warm stone. A garden alive with resilience and quiet power. Performance: Strong out the gate for the first hour or two, then it pulls in close - expect a quiet, skin-hugging herbal-woody presence for the rest of the wear. Fit: Everyday confidence. Upon the initial spray, the scent is quite sweet—think of a complex candy-like sweetness that isn't overly cloying; it's still quite pleasant. Along with the sweetness, I noticed some pepper notes reminiscent of the opening of Dior Sauvage. After about ten minutes, the fragrance develops into some spicier notes that help tone down the initial sweetness, making it suitable for daily wear, including in the office. I also detected a light leather note that brings the fragrance back to the recognizable style of the Jimmy Choo line, known for its leather undertones. After about an hour, the sweetness persists but is now complemented by a clean, woody note—think of a classic men’s fragrance with subtle wood elements that pair nicely with the sweetness. In terms of performance, I experienced excellent projection during the first two to three hours. Expect it to create a pleasant aroma bubble around you, approximately 2-3 feet in diameter. After the three-hour mark, the projection diminishes to about 1 foot but lasts at this level up to the eighth hour. Overall, the performance is quite good and the best I've experienced from the Jimmy Choo Man line. I found this fragrance to be an excellent option for daily wear. My only concern is how similar it is to Dior Sauvage. However, Extreme does have its own twist, combining sweetness with leather, yet the pepper and ambroxan contribute significantly to its resemblance to the Sauvage line. If you already own a bottle of Sauvage, this may feel redundant. But if you don't and are looking for a leatherier take on this type of fragrance, it's definitely worth checking out.

Just tested this at my local Macy’s which got this new flanker in stock a few days ago. The opening is spicy and herbal, but within minutes as it begins to dry down this literally smells like a quality blend of Chanel Allure Homme Sport Eau Extreme and Dior Sauvage. It also reminds me of Coach Platinum but without the pineapple note. I don’t get A&F Fierce or Dylan Blue at all. There’s a noticeable tonka bean note which isn’t listed here but that explains the mild sweetness. The original Jimmy Choo Man DNA is present as well but it’s way in the background. This would be a solid daily driver for anyone who wants something a little different but with some blue versatility. As with the other Jimmy Choos this is a light scent and has moderate performance so spray heavy and be sure to hit your clothes for more staying power. But all in all this is pretty likeable and easy to wear fragrance built for mass appeal.

Pros: Smells good Versatile Akin to Sauvage, an almost universally adored fragrance Cons: There are other (some better performing and/or cheaper) Sauvage dupes and twists like Armaf's Ventana or CDN Urban Elixir, Cool Water Parfum, Roberto Capucci's L'Homme Suave, Coach Platinum, and many more I'm sure... Prada LR Carbon is only a little more expensive. Conclusion: If you want something that smells Sauvage-ish, this will work just fine. But if you already have Sauvage or one of its many offspring, you may want to pass on this one.

Great middle and base notes (sage, wood, geranium, a bit of pepper). But the top note is too sweet, flowery, and spicy. Once the opening dissipates, it’s a solid bet—but here, as many others have said, it really does smell like a Sauvage clone (just not in the top notes). I’d say it’s more well suited for fall, winter, and nights. Performance - especially projection - could be a lot better. 3.5/5.

The opening is reminiscent of Sauvage EDP but as the scent evolves, especially in the dry down, it assumes its own identity. Spicy, aromatic opening and mid, evokes the shade of bright red, and the mildly sweet, woody dry down, more of a sensual crimson. Not a beast, but a noticeable scent bubble for the first 5 hours before becoming a skin scent with about 11 hours total longevity for me.

Fresh slightly spicy, slightly herby with a bit of a fresh and clean quality about it. It is quite similar to Sauvage but take away all the citrus and add some herbal notes. This is quite the masculine fragrance, it’s nothing unique or new in terms of overall scent profile but it is a solid fragrance. The performance is pretty decent as well.

I’m not a perfume reviewer, just someone who sniffs & go’s, thought this definitely smelt like sauvage, just with a smoother spice and not like a kick in the face spice, I hope performance isn’t an issue, I quite enjoyed this scent smells a bit like a bath & body works man body wash, 7.5/10 I’d wear it, seems like a grab & go kinda cologne.

Surprisingly decent if nothing too revolutionary. Comes across like a successful combination of Montblanc Legend and Dior Sauvage (or perhaps Versace Dylan Blue). It also reminds me a little of edge Man Intense by Swiss Arabian minus such strong pineapple & ginger accords.

This is my first designer fragrance, and I have to say I really do enjoy it. I, of course, don't have the frame of reference many others have, but I enjoy the shower gel profile this has. It works for my job, and has enough personality that I enjoy it day or night.

I'm not really into Jimmy Choo fragrances, but this is very nice. Fresh, peppery, and with a nice touch of geranium and woody notes. Yes, it does remind me a little of Sauvage Eau de Parfum, specially in the dry down, but regardless that, still very nice.

I got this fragrance as a tester from a giveaway. I put it on and wasn’t impressed. It smelled good but not 60$ good. It smells like a cheap target cologne you get for 20$. It only lasts like three hours. It’s just very unimpressive.

Very manly, typical man.. Nothing extraordinary, but at the same time very pleasant. For me it smells like a mix of any other top 10 best sellers. Great for a present because I think it will fit for everyone, any age group.

Definitely a Sauvage DNA clone with a little less spice and less citrus. Doesn't smell terrible, but could've been something a little more original. Also, red is a weird color to associate with the DNA.

This smells pretty good. Longevity is still there after accouple hours, but it does sit closer to the skin. initial spray isn't that great it is the dry down that is better.

There is something sensual in the far drydown, realy pleasant and manly,,good surprice ! Nothing to do with Sauvage or Legend Montblanc.

This parfum is for someone who have 15 to 30 years. Its youngsters vibe, its nice smell. There is something like YSL MYSLF inside this .

It smells really generic, kinda like they just didn't try hard to make anything special. Having said that, it doesn't smell bad, there's just nothing unique to this scent. It smells chemical, and harsh. A bit like a calvin klein perfume (but those cost like $20 for a 200 ml bottle). I can smell nothing but ambroxan. It's a bit like dior sauvage. People like sauvage, it's not my favorite because it smells synthetic but there's a whole range of fragrances like sauvage, this jimmy choo etc that just smell so similar. It's more the type of scent that a 16-17 year old man buys when he realizes he's got to go to a social / school dance and needs to dress a bit nicer and goes to the mall gets some cheap suit and a cheap tie because kids don't usually have huge shopping budgets, and picks up a perfume like this. He puts on like 5 sprays too many when getting dressed, and by the time he actually gets to the dance the scent has basically worn off. After having trashed that fragrance I will say I think most 17 year olds should get a fragrance like this. Similarly I don't think most 17 year old needs to wear a patek philippe and should be wearing a timex.

This just smells like every man ever. nothing special, just buy the 3 in one showergel for men and you ́ll smell the same.

Has there ever been a good Jimmy Choo fragrance? Not that I’ve ever experienced; and this Man Extreme is no different. You can interpret the notes as much as you want to, but there’s no escaping the fact this is just a horrific mess of amberwoods and cheap ‘shower gel’ molecules. I’m getting a lot of pepper, which has become an unbearable trend since Sauvage. But aside from that it really does smell exactly like that horrid blue Tesco Value shower gel which costs about 30p a bottle. Cheap, vulgar and tacky with absolutely nothing enticing or worthwhile about it. Does it smell good? To anyone with taste, absolutely not. Perhaps you might do well wearing this if you’re a 13 year old working in the travelling fair. Absolutely vile scent.

I learned very early in my fragrance journey that scent is both perceptively subjective and performantly individual. In other words every person perceives and wears a scent in their own unique way. Not everyone around us will like the scents that we wear but each of us will typically wear something that makes us feel good, uplifted, confident. Occasionally we might also wear a scent that takes us out of our comfort zone to make a statement or perhaps even impress a special someone. Whereas it can be instinctive to be overtly negative about a scent that is disappointing when you sample it, either because of it's lack of originality or strong similarity to a number of others, past or present, each scent most often has it's own nuance that makes it stand apart from others. Hence, I always spend time with a scent before making a decision about it but above all I firmly believe a positive appraisal is the better approach. If ultimately you dislike a scent or simply don't like it enough to buy a full bottle then you can respectfully set it down and continue on your way. Anecdotally, for several years, I dismissed Luna Rossa Carbon as it was largely hailed as a "Sauvage MK2". Sauvage is a scent I still appreciate but my tastes have changed so I avoided LRC entirely. Recently, I was in a well known high street store and saw a tester bottle of LRC, decided to try it and was very pleasantly surprised........and bought it. Yes - the cues to the Sauvage dna are there but it still stands apart. Again, subjectively, I find LRC more Lavender dominant but also more maturely aromatic and versatile where Sauvage would otherwise by somewhat aggressive, bombastic even. I have sampled and owned close to 400 scents of all kinds and brands over the last 30 years and I appreciate everything from citrusy florals, to rich leathers, spicy tobaccos, to the deepest, smokiest Ouds yet one of my all time favourite scents is still Jimmy Choo Man Intense. It captures a certain feeling for me personally and without exception always gets VERY positive attention when I wear it out. A scent regarded as moderate to weak actually performs excellently for me and tends to enter a room before I do. In summary, to suggest that anyone who likes a particular scent has no taste is unnecessarily unkind and could wrongly deter people from even trying a scent that might actually be their new signature. Always be positive and open to new possibilities but always with a strong sense of self and you'll not go far wrong. As regards, Jimmy Choo Man Extreme, the note breakdown suggests a possible similarity to Tumi Kinetic - another scent that is referred to in the same category as Sauvage. However, I wonder if JCME might be a more mass appealing iteration of this scent profile so I for one will be interested to give it a try and make up my own mind.

Jimmy Choo Man Extreme is an aromatic, woody, and fresh fragrance. Its opening is fresh and spicy, containing some citrus and fresh herbal spices. The scent is very pleasant. As time passes, aromatic elements of geranium and woody accords emerge until its dry-down. It's a daytime fragrance, preferably for spring and summer, for casual situations, outdoor outings, with friends, or when you simply want an easy and uncomplicated scent. Its longevity was about 5 to 6 hours with low sillage. Its scent reminded me of Coach Green, even though they don't share many notes in common, except for geranium. It's a simple and pleasant option for smelling good, although you'll probably need to reapply because its performance is somewhat weak.

I've read so many reviews here on this fragrance smelling similar to Sauvage. I really dont get it at all, it's nothing like it. To me this is a more peppery version of Versace's Dylan Blue. It's a really nice scent, and one I'm glad I bought as a blind buy. Only bought a 30ml bottle for my next jaunt to Lanzarote. I always buy a new scent when I fly away to the sun. I'd recommend this for sure, one to add to your collection.

@cologneislife when you say you have over 300 designer and niche scents you really don't. What you trying to prove to a group of strangers on the Internet. See this all the time people BS about how many scents they own just to try and prove they know more than anyone else. Stop with the simping codependency and just stick to the scent. It's an ok scent . Nothing groundbreaking but will definitely do the job. 7/10

Definitely a Masculine everyday scent. Not really that sexy. Gets the job done. Very overpriced I would wait for the price to lower. Longevity is pretty mid, I like the smell a lot. Reminds me a lot of Azzaro Wanted EPD. It starts off with an in your face and intense herbal and a little bit of pepper. After 30 minutes it becomes wood dominate with some pepper. Smell:8/10 Longevity:6/10 Overall:7/10

I swear some of yall have a bad ph balance or something this scent is amazing....and I'm not new to the cologne game over 300 signature and niche scents ...definitely don't understand the low rating, some people just have a nose that can't understand or appreciate a good summer / early fall parfum. Longevity is there , and silliage....8/10....clean your sinuses and try again

It evolves from a generic scent from the last two decades, synthetic/aromatic, to one of the many renditions of Abercrombie's Fierce/Margiela's At the barber's/Egoiste etc. - that style of fougere, at its most synthetic. Longevity is good.

This is similar to Mont Blanc Legend Red and Polo Red. It's very nice, and my fave between these 3. But kinda redundant if you own any of these......but still nice indeed. Perfect for fall sunny days.
