It's actually- TOP: Coconut water & Frangipani Heart: Jasmine Flower & Orchid BASE: Sandalwood & Vanilla When you first spray this you get a truly refreshing blast of sweet coconut water & creamy frangipani. Imagine you're in a fushia pink tube at a tropical themed waterpark and you're relaxing as you allow the lazy river to carry you away. You're in a bikini and you have some type of milky conditioner in your hair. You're wearing your gucci sunglasses and you've left your worries at the office- you're on vacation. The mid is gorgeous as well. You have the orchid and it lends a buttery aspect to the fragrance. The jasmine flower is not overwhelming at all. It sits way in the background. If anything, it adds a slight greenness to the whole creaminess aspect. This perfume to my nose feels super lactonic and creamy even tho it's not coconut milk in here its coconut water. The flowers may have something to deal with the lactonicness because to me frangipani petals are super soft and velvety. The base lasts sooo long on me. Sandalwood and vanilla. I get the woody vanilla at the end and it lasts on me overnight into the morning. (I use this too for bed) .. it's such an underrated gem . Also completely misunderstood. It just gives me carefree vibes, I'm on holiday, I'm on vacation, I treat myself, I take care of myself, I'm relaxing- leave that shit at the office - type of vibes. It's fun, creamy, sweet, tropical, perfect for a hot day, it makes me feel fresh after I apply it. It's just lovely, i slept on it when it first came about because i cant stomach "Rose" scents and i didnt even bother to try it until recently. On Jimmy's website it states that this is the scent that resembles their interpretation of the French Riviera (don't ask me I need to google that) obviously they intended the word Rose to be the translation of "Pink" Because in French- Rose means pink. So translated theoretically is "pink passion" ...they totally could have thought of 1k different names but - Mmmmmmk. Let's just go with that one and potentially lose out on consumers understanding the concept. Clearly they need to do a rebrand lol. I have a bottle and a back up If you know, you know. For those that get it, get it. ALSO THE NOSE BEHIND THIS IS THE NOSE BEHIND ANOTHER 13 LE LABO. which honestly, I do totally see it.

Jimmy Choo Rose Passion Eau de Parfum carries, in its beautiful pink bottle, a floral and tropical fragrance of great taste, which was created by Nathalie Lorson and whose official olfactory pyramid, declared on the brand's page, lists the following notes: coconut water and frangipani, on top; jasmine and orchid, in the body; sandalwood and vanilla, in the base. I particularly love this type of fragrance! Anyone who knows Bossa (Granado) will immediately identify with it. It also appeals to fans of Light Blue Sun (D&G), the latter being more citrusy, and Terracotta Le Parfum (Guerlain), but this one is much more carnal and heavier. Jimmy Choo Rose Passion Eau de Parfum is tropical in the right measure, without exaggerating the smell of sunscreen – something very common in this type of creation. The frangipani note is charming and of quality, bringing the fruity freshness and the “waxed” aspect of the flower, especially of the coral color (which has a very different perfume than the white one). Here, the coconut water generates a more vegetal effect, and the jasmine helps to give the depth of the white flowers, without going overboard on the indolic side. The result is reminiscent of the smell of poets' jasmine (Jasminum Polyanthum). Finally, the evolution brings a background of great creaminess, in which the sandalwood note is very evident, and the vanilla only adds a light dose of sweetness, extending the durability of the fragrance on the skin, without breaking the proposed tropicality. Jimmy Choo Rose Passion Eau de Parfum is not generic at all. Quite the contrary, it is the type of product that few people like, and most who try it demonstrate a certain resistance. And this is understandable, since accords considered tropical, with a strong presence of frangipani and fruits, are still new in perfumery and have not penetrated the mass market. But those who like it, become loyal and wear it on almost all occasions, as the scented power is high and the fragrance is usually intriguing. On my skin, the performance was very good, but I think Jimmy Choo French Riviera would be a more appropriate name, and the color of the bottle, in a gradient of turquoise tones, would better communicate the inspiration on the Côte d’Azur. Even so, Jimmy Choo Rose Passion deserves attention when passing by a perfume store. I recommend trying it!

No, it does not smell like roses, and maybe it doesn't really smell super "pink" either. Even so, I really don't think this fragrance should be judged by its name!! I've been looking for this sort of fragrance for YEARS. I used to wear Bath and Body Works' "Bright Autumn Blooms" body spray as my signature scent. It was my absolute favorite for years until they discontinued it and never released anything comparable again. To me, this is the closest I've found. It's not perfect, but it's close enough to bring back some nostalgia!! It's hard to even describe how beautiful and unique this smells to me. It's light and sweet and with a touch of florals and slightly tropical, but also deep and creamy and almost spicy. It's complex and rich without overcrowding the notes, which is my pet peeve with some other fragrances. It's unique and interesting and beautiful. As someone described Bright Autumn Blooms on its Fragrantica page, this is like a "spiced warm floral." (I think it leans more coconut than BAB, but in a delicious, warm way.) Personally this fragrance reminds me of autumn and fall, but I plan to wear it year-round. As it dries down, I almost get a bit of Black Opium...? I can't understand those who think it smells like a public bathroom or other awful things-- maybe it just doesn't work with your chemistry? Maybe you got a bad bottle? I can't even imagine. On me, it smells beautiful. I'm so happy to finally have my signature scent back. It's like the hole in my heart was finally filled.

MAY 2025 BOTTLE - AMAZON ***REMINDER TO NEWBIES*** (followed by my review) There seems to be a disturbing trend on here of late, of disparaging unbalanced ramblings of dismissive nonsense and I wondered if they were from people who don't understand how to get the best from perfume.... so here goes... Your perfume will not perform on your dry crusty unwashed skin and your unwashed dirty clothes. You need to hose yourself down and lather up first.... and as soon you get out of your shower or bath, slap on a body oil, then a body cream that matches some of the notes in your perfume. That way, you won't be complaining about it not lasting, not smelling right and my personal favourite observation "I bought a dud... " no you didn't, I digress. Natalie Lorson is throwing it out of the park again, this is a gorgeous fruity, tropical rose scent, a touch of exotic, a touch of coconut, very beautifully blended. It's super uplifting, sparkling, a little intoxicating, flirty and definitely one for the warmer weather. It was a total blind buy for me, I just loved the composition and notes, I can't get enough tropical rose scents at the moment, it's at the point of obsession. During the last year this fragrance became a staple in my collection, strangely enough, we had a rocky start. I bought Rose Passion in the middle of last summer because I didn't own any beach type of fragrance yet and I thought it was essential to have one. I tested it in the store and I bought it rather quickly considering the low price. (I bought it from a discounter) I opened the fragrance at home and I still remember the coconut smelled like molde to my nose for the first few days. I was worried if I wasted my money so I barely touched the fragrance until the fall. I started liking it during that time, there was something fruity and bubblegummy about it and the coconut became much more palatable. What I mostly got was fruity frangipani and vanillic coconut with a bubblegum undertone and I like that. Fast forward to January and some kind of magic happened in the cold weather. I realised that it's full bodied, sweet and strong sillage was really not working for me in the warm weather. But it's so comforting in the cold. The jasmine started to show itself, the whole composition became more floral, clean and merged so beautifully with the coconut While it's warm and rounded base remains the same. This fragrance comforts me and cheers me up whenever I am stressed out and need a little mood booster. I am seriously considering to repurchase whenever I run out.

Rose Passion is the first Jimmy Choo fragrance that picked my interest in recent years. It’s such a stunning tropical, floral, creamy scent that took me by surprise. It’s not by any means a groundbreaking scent but it’s addicting. Frangipani, coconut milk, sweet vanilla and a creamy sandalwood is a perfect recipe for a beautiful summer scent. It’s a vibe. Might be similar to many other designer scents but this can’t take away it’s beauty. The price is great for a new released fragrance, thrilled that it is not following the price increase as most of the newer designers launches in 2023. Moderate performance as expected from a designer fragrance and not too sweet which makes it a perfect fit even for hot summer days. I have sampled Rose Passion a few times and I think I need a bottle! Edit May 2024: I just finished a 100 ml bottle of this. I’m gonna need a second one for summer 2024... Edit April 2025: Purchased a second bottle of this beauty. It’s a very underrated exotic floral perfume. Super affordable compared to other designers prices range. Ready for summer 2025 now!

Oh my... this is what I was looking for! Truly tropical yummy coconut scent. Paired with simple coconut body lotion made my head explode with yummyness. Love from the first sniff. And the bottle is so lovely! The opening reminded me of the purple Choo I had few years ago, I think it was named Fever maybe? and it’s a very nice and subtle reminder just for a few minutes. And the drydown is realy similar to Alien Goddess, which I love. I recently realised that I prefer coconut milk and coconut water in perfumes, over coconut itself. Because it smells like fresh real coconuts, whereas coconut note is always kinda heavy and synthetic. That’s why I fell in love HARD with this and Alien Goddess. So amazing, cannot recommend enough to try this. The price is very reasonable, at least where I live. The sprayer could be a bit more gentle, it’s a little harsh. The name is funny but it doesn’t bother me as much, because I also get “rose” as a colour pink. I hope this wont get discontinued soon, as my favourite perfumes always do 😒

The best natural frangipani scent Ever...I bought this perfume blindly, because of the notes and my love for Frangipani scent, it is a beautiful tropical flower. I must say that I hardly feel jasmine in this perfume, I do feel the frangipani a lot with a soft coconut, especially at the top. Then the note of creamy coconut and very soft vanilla comes out maintaining its wonderful frangipani tropical note. I'm not one to use floral perfumes but this frangipani is wonderful!! The best thing is that it is simple, you can distinguish those notes perfectly. It transports you to that beach on the tropical island. You can wear it during the day for its cool vibrant aura and on summer nights. I recommend 100%. It's my fave perfume now...I'm addicted. Aaaaand for those saying something about the name and about the rose, and the confusion...please! There are perfumes with names that are really tricky and don't go along with the scent at all. Just get over it...

i got this as a gift and its really good! its very floral forward, which is something i dont really look for in perfumes, but this one actually smells great the longevity is decent, and the projection is alright. not beast mode, but still good im gonna be so honest, maybe my nose is different but i definetely get rose from this. its overtaken by the jasmine and orchid, sure, but theres definetely rose in there despite it not being listed in the notes. also, theres like no coconut in this??? i do not smell it one bit!! if you want a coconut scent, try alien goddess by mugler (vanilla coconut). i wouldnt really wear this perfume during the summer, as it comes across too strong for me during the 35+ degree weather. maybe only at night? idk how you guys wear it during summer days genuinely looking at the reviews on this got me so confused cause i disagree with most of these takes but perfume is subjective after all!

̊˖𓍢ִ໋❀ Rose Passion by Jimmy Choo is not a rose fragrance. It's a sultry, tropical bombshell. This is very similar to Alien Goddess Intense. However, I prefer this one, the reason being the fact it has a deeper, more ambery base. It's like the night-time version of that one. The most proeminent notes to my nose are jasmine, frangipani and coconut milk. They are very well blended and create a creamy, almost decadent scent profile. I don't really believe in categorising fragrances based on the season they should be worn in, however, this is exactly how I would imagine myself smelling in late summer, walking on the beach, staring at the sunset's gradient, after a full day of swimming, drinking and being sexy. Definitely signature scent worthy. Immensely happy with my purchase and with the insanely small price this retails for (I got a tester). ̊˖𓍢ִ໋❀

Snagged a 40ml for $22 from the magical Shoppers Drug Mart shelf, so went ahead and blind bought it. I am not disappointed EXCEPT for the fact that when this dries down it is very, very similar to Alien Goddess and Alien Goddess Intense (it's almost right between them), which I love but already own. I also get the comparison to Dolce Garden, but only in the very opening. Yellow flowers, Jasmine, Coconut and Vanilla. Bold and a bit beachy, but I feel it could take you from winter all the way through summer (but maybe not the fall). I think if you love Alien Goddess, Alien Goddess Intense (especially), and/or Dolce Garden, you would also love this and keep many dollars in your pocket.

This is a nice inoffensive scent! Very similar to mugler alien goddess intense but add a little more coconut. This coconut is a bit warmer and is the top note you get from this. I think this is a perfect summer release and like it more than most coconut scents. The powder is dialed down which I appreciate and the florals play well with the coconut so overall this is a really nice coconut centered fragrance with notes that give it a bit more than just being a basic tanning lotion scent! Definitely worth it if you like the notes listed or alien goddess, plus this is much cheaper than alien goddess! The performance is great as with most Jimmy choo fragrances!

This is a strong summer floral. I would NOT recommend wearing this in an office (in its initial form at least) or around someone who doesn't like perfume. I bought this in a mini format for the coconut and vanilla, and all I smell initially is the frangipani. I'm not a floral person, but this is a creamy flower. It smells super strong from afar but delicate from up close when I smell my wrist. The drydown is soft floral vanilla, very elegant. Still, no coconut. I don't know if I'll buy a full bottle, but it's a great summer scent. As always, Jimmy Choo means quality and strength, even if I don't smell the classic Jimmy Choo DNA in this one.

I wonder who thought it was a good idea to call this fragrance Rose Passion, since it doesn’t smell like rose at all, nor is it listed in the notes. Are they going by the bottle color? Screw-ups or jokes in the marketing department aside, this is a tropical frangipani (plumeria) scent. There is no rose here. It’s a frangi heavy tropical floral fragrance with coconut and vanilla orchid the other most prominent notes in this blend. For the most part, it’s pretty linear throughout the wear but if you love frangi heavy tropical perfumes, like I do, you might like this too.

Amazing unique perfume, my favorite from Jimmy Choo...Smells creamy, slightly tropical but sofisticated, it's creamy floral-coconut-vanilla in the best way possible, I get commpliments every time I wear it, men love it... Lifts the Spirit. I sprayed on clothes and the drydown was soooooo gooooood!!!! WoW! Been using this for a while but last evening I was smelling something delicious and didn't know what it was until I smelled my shirt, it was THIS perfume that left an amazing scent on clothes, different from what I get on skin. That's what I want from a scent.

I love this!!! This is my fragrance for the summer and I am super happy with it. I had to try it 2-3 times to really start liking it but now I love it. The frangipani in the opening to me smells a little bit like banana. Like a floral banana smell I hope you can imagine it like this. The coconut is very noticeable the whole time and yummy. Somehow the texture of this fragrance is like ice cream of whipped cream, it is light and delicious. I live in a hot climate and I don't find it cloying during the daytime. It's a delicious tropical dream!

This is a BEAUTY. It smells like a more floral Dolce Garden. It lasts forever and projects like crazy and I only like beast mode frags so I wouldn't say that if it was any less than beast mode. I don't know if I love this or Garden more. Both fragrances with misnomers (Garden and Rose Passion-both names would lead you to believe these are fruity floral type scents like Bright Crystal which I can't stand n really dislike that genre of frags). Not surprised I love this as Natalie Lorson is my favorite perfumer.

This is a beautiful fragrance, even though it’s not unique. It does have a tropical vibe, yet the coconut milk note is extremely subtle. I own Alien Goddess Intense, and the similarities are limited to the opening notes. Goddess dries down to a much creamier and more vanilla-like scent. That said, I really love how the jasmine and frangipani blend together; it's very pretty. The longevity on my skin is about five hours, with decent projection for the first hour. @deepgreenbeauty

Tested in store and went for the large bottle straight away. Frangipani, creamy coconut, vanilla and Sandalwood, with a slightly powdery touch. Good lasting power and solid projection. 2-3 Sprays is enough, more than that it could be overwhelming to those around you. It's pretty linear after the first 10 minutes but I don't mind that and it's nice to have a coconut fragrance that doesn't smell like suntan lotion. Great for summer but can be worn all year round. Love ❤️

As a lover of Alien Goddess and AG Intense, I was desperate to try this when it first launched, and I wasn't disappointed. Not because this is exactly the same, but it is a summer/beach vibes scent. It is a shame that this seems to have been discontinued, but I have surely bought enough bottles, now that it is heavily discounted, to keep me happy for the next decade.

I agree with the other reviewers that I get no rose whatsoever. The opening reminds me a lot of Korloff Gold and as it dries down I get more of that Alien Goddess DNA. I will say, I own Alien Goddess and while I love it, I do think this one dries down a bit softer and creamier, but it doesn't have quite the longevity AG has.

This was a blind buy. I've never had a perfume with 'Frangapani' in it lol. interesting, but it smells good. I can definitely smell the jasmine as well. The performance is great! sprayed it on myself this morning & I can still smell it lingering around mid-afternoon. It smells fresh & more like a tropical perfume. 9/10

I really don't understand why there are so many negative comments, this is such a beautiful summer scent. Its not super sweet, as majority of holiday perfumes, this is a floral/ raw coconut and slightly woody fragrance. Beautiful bottle, quite sexy, decent lasting power, I love it. This is my favourite Jimmy Choo.

So my Macys had the tester. I got to try it and my sales girl got me a tester. This is right off very coconut but then warm and tropical and a bit toasted vanilla. Very much a tropical vanilla coconut. Reminded her and myself of Mugler’s Angel Goddess Intense. AGAIN another fragrance smelling like that 😰

Creamy coconut-vanilla beachy vibe scent. Surprisingly good - I was tricked by the bottle and name to look for a rosy fragrance, but no rose here at all. It is not a loud scent, the jasmine is very, very mild. Longevity is good on me. Delicious, summery, lighthearted. Mild, soft, warm. Beautiful!

If you love Crystal noir but don't like the reformulation from 2021, and that it leans masculine, get this. The dry down is crystal noir but more feminine. And better to my nose. I am obsessed with this scent! Bought it right away after sniffing it 2 times! Love the drydown!

Purchased a small bottle of this as I love Jimmy Choo fragrances. This is beautiful and long lasting. I think it would be lovely to wear on a summers evening. I don't get any rose but it is floral with creamy vanilla and coconut notes, Very happy with this one!

Smelled really pretty and familiar (Crystal Noir, maybe?) for about the 5 seconds it lasted. Why can't designers put some oomph behind their perfumes? This thing performs like a body mist, not even an EDT and definitely not an EDP. Such a money trap.

This is a very pleasant summer beach smell :) it is uncomplicated. This isn't incredibly unique or groundbreaking, but I don't care. Sometimes you just want an easy reach that won't offend anyone lol. I definitely smell the coconut and florals here.

Such a well-rounded blend. Floral but with a hint or earthiness, powdery rather than sweet. I love it but wish the longevity were a bit better.

Looking to invest in a creamy tropical white floral and I’m stuck on this one. I have a tiny sample of this I’ve been testing out but I’m sad that the longevity isn’t the best. Also, I don’t know why they would call this Rose Passion if it doesn’t have a rose note. I think a tropical rose note should’ve been included in this to separate it from all the other tropical solar white florals on the market. It smells very similar to JHAG Lust For Sun, Alien Goddess, Gucci Bloom and Tom Ford Soleil Blanc. If you own one of those, it would be redundant to own this one too. It isn’t unique but it’s a pretty scent. I want to take my sample on vacation with me lol Edit: now that I finished my sample, I think I want this now. I own Alien Goddess too and I think they would layer beautifully together. Alien Goddess is a powdery vanilla while Rose Passion leans more towards banana-like coconut milky white florals. edit: finally glad I acquired this. I actually prefer it way more than Alien Goddess and I look forward to wearing it so much more. I loveeeeee this <3 Not overly loud & it won’t fill up a room but get ready for your boyfriend to keep trying to hug you and kiss your neck. It’s delicate, soft, and stays close to the skin. The longevity is spectacular despite its soft nature. I had mistaken its intimate performance for longevity. I won’t feel a huge scent bubble but at times, I’ll catch wafts of it throughout the day if I spray behind my neck and shoulders. I mostly smell the frangipani & the jasmine in this is very green. I actually don’t get that much of a sweet coconut note; it’s more of a soapy milky coconut. It’s mostly powdery floral with touches of vanilla & sandalwood. Not that sweet of a scent. Alien Goddess is wayyyyy sweeter but one-dimensional and not as interesting so I use that for mostly layering. You can also layer with this but I adore wearing it alone.

everyone calling this a summer tropical scent: you’re unhinged and i can only respect that. to my nose, this is certainly too heavy for the warmer months but hey, don’t let anyone tell you what to wear and when to wear it. fight the power. i was obsessed with this perfume for the better part of a year, which is unusual for someone as biased against florals as i am. this is an unusual one however, all-enveloping and almost cloying in a pleasing old-fashioned way. it’s gotten me more compliments than any of my more expensive perfumes, a fact i’m a normal level of upset about. unfortunately, my nose has now made a 180 on it and i find it to be on just this side Too Much. sad but i am nearly done with this bottle, c’est la vie and all that.

Okay so now that it’s 1 degreeF, this scent is finally tolerable. It’s sweeter now and less old fashioned. I layered this with sun kissed glow by jlo and it’s a good mix. This is adding a sweet candy like rose 🌹- but it feels like it would be a pink rose not a red rose. The frangipani is making it a creamy pink candy taffy. I’ll only wear it in this freezing cold weather cuz in warmer temps it’s awful- frangipani, imo, is a hard note to get right in perfumes. This is definitely a frangipani forward fragrance. Definitely shouldn’t have been named rose passion. Frangipani passion would’ve fit it better. Anyways coldest weather possible to get the creamy pink candy scent from this.

Yes, the name is a trick and you probably fell for it too. There's no rose here. At least, not the common type of roses. It is a 'beach vacation' version of Jimmy Choo. Think creamy tropical florals, coconut, frangipani. It's fun and easygoing, but not as much as for example Escada releases. You still feel like you are wearing perfume. Wearable during daytime and nighttime. What does it remind me of? I would put it in a similar category as Aerin Hibiscus Palm or even the recently released Juliette Has a Gun Lust for Sun, but better than JHAG. And yes, possibly the Alien Goddess Intense. Nicely done. Pleasant. Nothing special or groundbreaking. Easy to wear.

I tested Rose Passion on one wrist and Guerlain Terracotta on the other. Close. RP is like the light version. Since TC is discontinued this is a good dupe. But not same quality ingredients as Guerlain. TC smells richer, denser, better blend but both have horrible lasting power. So if you like TC you will enjoy this scent. I bought a bottle as I do enjoy this scent profile and don’t want to use up my precious TC. Edit March 2025: loving rose passion more than terracotta. Really nice in cool spring weather. Regarding Lust for sun not a dupe. LFS has citrus and RP does not. Both have white florals which is why compared. RP is sweeter with the coconut milk.

I blind bought this as it was a great deal and because I love Fever - but it’s not what I was expecting at all. It’s heavy on the frangipani and coconut, which I would usually associate with summer sun, but I think this might also be a good cold season option because it’s comforting. I’m going to let it sit for a while, as it has the potential to be a headachy one in confined spaces and the Scottish spring doesn’t lend itself well to being outside ☔️ but this may be my smell of the summer, when I’m finally able to be outside without an umbrella. Edit: I couldn’t get on with this as I don’t love solar/coconutty scents so I gifted it to a friend.

This is a light, sun tan lotion type of fragrance. I'm a huge fan of yellow florals, and frangipani was done in a way which is not overpowering here. It's creaminess helped by the coconut milk. The coconut here is not dense, more so adds a creamy texture. I like this. I know, people say these are vacation smells. I'd wear it anytime of year, during the daytime, when I want to feel uplifted. Worth the $20 I paid for my small bottle. I'll have to see if I reach for this though. I have another yellow floral fragrance I like more, but it was more than $20, so obviously can't be compared.

This is good, although nothing unique or groundbreaking. Frangipani & coconut which dries down to a dusty sandalwood/vanilla. My main issue with this one is the poor longevity & projection. This sits close to the skin after about 30 minutes & is gone after around 3 hours Update: I've really begun to love this one! Performance is still not great, but it hasn't bothered me. There's something very comforting & nostalgic about this scent. Like cheap spray-on sunscreen & warm sun-kissed skin at the beach on a hot summer day

I am so happy there isn’t any rose in this! The frangipani is really strong unfortunately... This is a super tropical fragrance, very feminine but the scent is not that youthful tbh. I think it’s a safe blind-buy though, but this will not be a favorite fragrance of mine and I won’t repurchchase it again. The bottle is pretty! (are you looking for coconut? then this is a waste of your time gurl) EDIT: I definitely could see myself wearing this at an all-inclusive resort in the south of Europe. A vacation scent!
