Vanilla Love

Wow! Love this one from Jimmy Choo! I love that it truly is a genuine vanilla scent (vanilla is really the main note, start to finish!). There is something distinct about it that I can't describe (apple note?). This one is not like any other vanillas I have tried (I have tried SO MANY...)--I am very happy to have added it to my collection! Vanilla Love morphs from unique top notes, into really nice middle notes, and even different base notes. A must-try for those who love vanillas! I wear this one a lot in the Fall, and also--ONE SPRAY under clothing lasts all day for me! *Update: Okay, so I ordered a purse-size "dupe" oil roller ($10) of this one (Inscentive Oils), and it is like 99% similar to the real deal! Which kinda makes me sad that I spent $150 on the original ...though I still enjoy it so much and the original lasts all day for me, whereas the oil needs reapplied after about 4 hours. Also, I have noticed that the BASE NOTES of Vanilla Love are are strikingly similar to more linear fragrances I have tried-- Mix:Bar Vanilla Bourbon (under $20 at Target!), and Wicked Vanilla Woods ($12!) from BBW. Just wanted to share this because Vanilla Love is IMO a vanilla gem, but it's also hard to find and expensive--so these other fragrances are pretty good alternatives.

It is RARE I wear a fragrance 2x in a row. With this Vanilla Love....I HAD to. This fragrance deviates from the typical JC dna so if you're like me and dont like their other scents, this is a SAFE blind buy if you LOVE adult vanillas. Its unisex. This is a classic mature vanilla. I was in the movie theater watching the Color Purple and was in a scent bubble the ENTIRE time. The longevity and projection for this baby is very good. I grabbed it on sale for $75. If I had to compare it to other vanillas how would it fair? Spiritueuse Double Vanille from Guerlain 200ml is $570: similar scent profile...HORRIBLE performance and its a skin scent Mahni Cassonade from Navitus 125ml $295: distant cousins scent profile, NO projection, and its a skin scent. Althair newest release from Parfums De Marly that everyone "raved" about 125ml $350: 2nd cousins scent profile but very basic vanilla 🗑 Vanilla 28 from Kayali 100ml $125: Not similar AT ALL but would take Jimmy Choo over it. Performance not spectacular of V28 but compliment getter when layered. Escapade Gourmande from Maison Mataha 100ml $215: Gorgeous sweet creme brule lick me up vanilla with great longevity. Jimmy Choo has more spice but not an overwhelming spice. Safe to own both.

Tried this one recently when buying it for a friend, I have GOT to have my own bottle of this! Can't wait until mine arrive! 25AUG22 I could only swing two bottles of this...but I've definitely gotta save up for at least 2 more! My bottles arrived today and it's definitely a slightly floral kind of vanilla, It is most certainly soft and powdery, but not Iris powdery or Talcum powdery...This is a whole other level of soft, sweet and lush! It's just so lushly soft and still sweet and that slightly floral-boozy note...omg this is vanilla HEAVEN!!! Strong, but subtle....powerful but understated....this is like the "Bruce Lee" of Vanilla fragrances. Like....Elegant and dressed to impress, attractive but with a mischievous edge...proper and sweet...but knows how to kill you if it wanted to. Vanilla Perfection! EDIT: Perfect layering frag as well! So far, adds a perfect vanilla base to almost every single one of my favorite frags (that don't have vanilla). I think "Versace Eros EDP" just got booted from it's reigning slot. They definitely named this one properly...."Vanilla Love" is just supreme!

Wow, just wow. A new friend and fragrance reviewer graciously sent me a box of assorted samples and in this was a vial of Jimmy Choo Vanilla Love oil, maybe a dupe? Not sure it comes in oil, normally. OMG, when I first smelled it, I knew it would layer beautifully with my beloved Lalique Le Parfum and it was so amazing, I went on the hunt for a full bottle of the body oil just so I could layer those two scents. The combination made my eyes roll back in my head. It's definitely not a simple sweet vanilla fragrance. The saffron gives it a spicy kick that seems to pair well with the bay leaf note in the Lalique. I see others say it's a winter fragrance, but it's going to be worn through the seasons here, maybe aside from the very hottest of summer days-thankfully, I live at 2000 ft elevation in the mountains so our nights are always cooler. And the combination lasted all day long and into the night, bonus!

This isn't a one note vanilla, lol. It has apple, black pepper, myrrh and some patchouli. Not sure why fragrantica removed the actual notes. I have quite a few of the "smells like" section and I just have to laugh bc they aren't even close. This one, the apple and pepper come across with the vanilla very clearly making it a sweet, almost cold, spicy vanilla. It's a great addition to any vanilla lovers collection bc of that very coldness. The only draw back is the fact that they only make one size and it's BIG. At 3.4 oz and $220 plus tax and no return policy, makes this a gamble if you don't like it. The bottle is gorgeous, but very heavy and I'm not a fan of the disco globe of a lid. It tends to fall off and it hurts if it lands on your toes. I sold my Iris Crush from this line bc it's just too much perfume, but I wear and enjoy this one often.

Gorgeous rich smoky sweet vanilla bean. This very good Vanilla. It definitely has slight resemblance with SDV by Guerlain and Annick Goutal Nuit et Confidences and also Tihota but yet they are all different. This vanilla isnt super unique, but its very good. It slightly reminds me of Kayali Vanilla as well but a bit more smoky and less sweet. So it is a vanilla that will reminds you of others you smelled before but its very good and easy to love. This Jimmy Choo Line is very impressive and very easy to love so far. Kind of reminds me of Maison Lancomes would do. I would say blind buy safe. The only con is the performance. You really have to overspray to have last for 6 hours + but I dont mind it because Im over sprayer anyways and its worth for the scent. Must try for vanilla lovers.

Maybe my 2nd favorite vanilla of all time which I wasn't expecting. I actually like it more than SDV, only because SDV started to frustrate me after a few years due to the weak projection (and I am normally one to lean toward quieter scents). For reference, I am not a fan of the dirty feeling vanillas like Vanilla 28 and Pink Sugar either. It is like a slightly boozy yet powdery vanilla. I am not sure how else to describe it. Definitely not as boozy as Apple Brandy on the Rocks and also not as spicy as SDV which sounds disappointing and pedantic, but it isn't a straight up vanilla ice cream either.

I have a co worker thats really tall and big. I quietly stood behind him with my 5'3" self. Without turning around he says, "I know you're behind me Joy. I can smell you!" I asked him what did I smell like. He sd, "Divine!" What was I wearing? Vanilla Love from the Jimmy Choo privé line. I always hear influencers tell these crazy stories about ppl chasing them down to compliment their fragrance. Typically Im skeptical of these tales. Well, that same day...a young lady chased me down and asked me what I had on. Once again, Vanilla Love for the win!

it is some how a strange scent in a good way! it is like your usual Vanilla but despite the only presented note being vanilla it has an edge to it, a spicy and sparkly edge! it was a blind buy for me but since i really love vanilla, i thought it would be a good perfume for me and i wasn't disappointed at all. I think Vanilla Love really successfully demonstrates that vanilla is not as basic as many believe it to be this days, and its mysterious and really delicious and highly addictive.

I got a 5 ml decant of this, fell in love, looked up the price, thought again, searched up a dupe, bought that instead, and I’m super happy! I got the oil version from InScentIve and it’s a spot on match. I was looking for a vanilla today to layer with my new decant of Ensens Suave (whoops! I wasn’t totally feeling smelling like incense today!). But my Vanilla Love oil fit the bill, made it softer, sweeter, and much more “me.” My first time buying from InScentIve and I’m impressed 👍👍

I had read how great this was, but that it was discontinued. I happened to be traveling to a city that showed they had 1 at JC boutique, so I took a risk without being able to smell it and bought it. Boy I am glad I did. I love this perfume. It is the perfect vanilla for me. It is more spicy, but not overly. It is not a sweet cakey vanilla. I use 1 squirt, and it lasts for hours. My husband says it really smells great. If you can find it still, get it.

I've tried a lot of the super hyped vanilla. Indult Tihota, SDV, Vanilla 28, VCA orchard vanille, Tihota, Serge Lutens un bois vanille, nishane Ani. Some I couldn't stand, some are super boring. Out of all of them this is my favorite. The way it's done, it is so simple, yet unique. To my nose, it is the perfect smoky, ambery, slightly powdery vanilla. It turns sweeter more amber comes through as it transforms on my skin. I can't stop sniffy my arms.

This is mature lady version of Mercedes Benz Club Black. If Club black seems very sweet, vanilla love is softer and more balsamic or resinous. Also, this is very versatile, you can use it for date night or warm sunny day. But please note that the projection is minimal but longevity is quite impressive 8-10 hours. I forgot how SDV smell like since I just test it at store, but vanilla love is very ladylike and subtly beautiful.

The fact that this has been discontinued 😭😭. This is my favorite vanilla fragrance next to M.Micallef Note Vanillee (the one in the older cube bottle). Now I need to go sniff SDV to see if it's the same type of vanilla. Edit: My partner LOVES this stuff on me. And he's doesn't even like vanilla. Also, SDV is in the same vein, but way more subtle. It doesn't have the same effect that Vanilla Love does on my partner.

Beautiful vanilla. Natural vanilla like vanilla bean, vanilla extract. Very mildly spicy uppn opening with very subtle sweetness from apple, myrrh keeps it a bit smokey. Patchouli not dominant, but underlying. Saffron well blended. Definitely for vanilla lovers. It's a sweet treat that will get you noticed. As it warms up, myrrh and saffron become more dominant mixed with rich vanilla.

For anyone saddened by this one's disappearance, give Miim Miic's No. 94- Intense Vanilla perfume a try! It's supposed to "mimic" Kayali's Vanilla, but IMO- its much more similar to JC Vanilla Love! And SO AFFORDABLE (I'm speaking from having the oil version in this dupe)!!!

After letting this one macerate for a month, I am in love. Something about that vanilla and saffron combo gives me a high lol. Edit: wore today 1/30 and someone said I smelled like I was wearing fantasy by Britney Spears.

I adore this, but sadly my husband does not. 😅 I have a 3/4-full bottle if anyone would like to buy it. Send me a note. 🥰 (UK only please - shipping these days is a nightmare!)

The fact that this has been discontinued is an absolute travesty. One of the best vanilla fragrances I have tried.

If Guerlain Spiritueuse Double Vanille and Vanilla Diorama had a love child, you’d get Vanilla Love.

I feel so weird for saying this, but there is something in this scent that reminds me of olives every time I try it. Black shriveled Turkish olives to be precise, I think the type is called "Gemlik". I can only assume that it's an unintentional effect of some of the notes together, but if there was an olive wood note in the pyramid I wouldn't have been surprised. Even stranger: Years ago a friend of mine said she didn't like those exact olives because they tasted like vanilla to her, which I couldn't understand at all. Now a vanilla perfume reminds me of them. Maybe we're onto something? Anyone else? No? I thought so. Now that I got that out of the way, the rest of the fragrance is pretty nice. It's a woody, slightly boozy vanilla that I find a little similar to Cologne of the Missions and Kayali Vanilla 28, but darker and more spicy. The saffron and especially the black pepper are very noticeable at first and add a dry effect to the vanilla. The toffee gets more intense as it dries down. At first it's like a strongly spiced caramel apple pie, but in the finale it's more of a creamy, sparkly toffee, vanilla and amber blend with no hint of apple anymore and still lots of spice. The name "Vanilla Love" makes me imagine a sugary pink glitter body spray, but this is a surprisingly grown-up take on vanilla with a deeper, warmer kind of sweetness. Despite the confusing olive-ish vibe I think this is a good perfume. The savory note makes it interesting and the gourmand parts are very well-done. I wouldn't buy it for myself, but I enjoyed testing it. Maybe it's more suited to people who have never tried those olives and don't make that connection.

A lot of the way that perfumes smell is how you identify the perfume by its packaging and branding. This perfume is clearly more of a yellow, golden vibe. My first impression is that this is more like sunshine and the sun. --------- I like both "I Want Choo" and "I Want Choo Forever". "I Want Choo" looks like it is branded and marketed to be the Sun - more golden and slightly more bright, extraverted and optimistic. "I Want Choo Forever" looks like it is branded and marketed to be the Moon - more subtle, intimate, introverted, and has a slight come hither to type beckoning quality about it. I like both - they are really close to being the same perfume - only subtle ingredients play their role in shifting from one gear to the other. Both are fairly linear, how they start holds true till the last phase of the perfume... they don't evolve into smells. Both are pleasant perfumes. Try both, see which one works best with your chemistry. They are close with subtle distinctions that you could only tell if you try them both at the same time and check back in on them at certain intervals. As this moves into the dry down phase, these are so close to being the same perfume that you could only tell the difference in these two - if they are sprayed and smelled in 30 minute increments. As this moves into the dry down, the two perfumes are so close that it is hard to discern which is which.

it's woody, slightly boozy, kind of spicy vanilla, thick vanilla maybe also nutty; tonka and almond, something so heavy that u would feel on the back of ur throat sweet but bitter at the same time idk how else to explain it but u know how u get a sweet effect from nuts on skin, yet they taste bitter sometimes? it is powdery, but it's not baby powdery, nor is powdery the first thing that comes to my mind when i smell this also, i can'g find in the listed notes, but there's this fruity element, a red fruit, perhaps a berry or something, that gives it a bit of a punch, and takes it out of that one dimensional sweet vanilla, the fruity sweetness i'm talking about is also sour and just rounds everything up, makes it balanced although it has a designer esque DNA, it's definitely full bottle worthy imo if u can justify the price i would categorize it with VCA bois dore, VCA bois d'amande, l'homme ideale extreme (minus the cherry and less spicy) and l'homme ideale intense

This is not a simple vanilla! It opens a bit sharp and I sense a crispier apple note, that settles to a sweet, warm vanilla with a slight woody background. I really enjoy this scent, it is very very sweet but has some maturity to it and the gentle fruity note freshens it up. I find Yves Rocher Nuit Vanille to have a similar quality and type of vanilla but this is more complex and performs much better.

Straight up vanilla, at first its really booze, but it develops quick into this eazy to wear vanilla fragrance/extract. It is not as strong as I had thought, some vanilla fragrances can be really nauseating but not this. I just got myself a Kayali Vanilla 28 and they are def sisters, so if you can’t spend a lot on this, I would recommend Kayali.

Beautiful gourmand baking vanilla with a tinge of booze, and a woody backbone that keeps it from going too much into the food category. This has become my favorite vanilla, and one of my favorite fragrances.

Vanilla extract. It is likeable but It isn't complex and worth the pricetag imo.

woah! the amber was surprisingly strong for me. upon first sniff, it resembles MFK’s grand soir (i’m surprised no one mentioned this), and it continues to have a hint of that fragrance in the dry down. there was also a sour note, which i attribute to the apple, though it didn’t really smell like apple at all. funny thing is cologne of the missions from le couvent maison de parfum also smelled sour to me and i blamed the myrrh, but i’m not sure if myrrh is meant to be sour (it is classified as a balsam, and i’m thinking balsamic vinegar)... i would say that it’s not exactly like what you’d expect from the name. it’s a heavier, deeper amber with a hint of vanilla. to me, it does not have resemblance to my favourite SDV! i did only test this on paper though, so i’m not sure about its performance on skin ! also the cap was pretty cool and sparkly, and felt expensive as it had some weight to it :) pretty bottle, but the scent is not for me.

I purchased this to compare it to other vanilla scents. It has a weird chemical smell when first sprayed. I continue to get whiffs of that chemical smell along with a pleasant vanilla climbing through. 5 sprays, it lasted 5 hours as a skin scent. To me, this is a layering scent. I'm not a huge fan of layering anything with such a poor longevity. I suspect the pepper, bitter apple and saffron is what's causing the strange chemical smell. Not my favorite vanilla. Tihota is far better, as is Burberry G-ddess or Amouge's Vanilla Barka. I wouldn't repurchase.

Either this is incredibly weak or I’m anosmic. Very similar experience to Guerlain’s SDV. Lightly mildly spiced and pretty vanilla that sits very close to the skin and then nothing. I work from home so not a lot of people to ask 🤣 but it doesn’t seem to last on clothing either. Oh well 🤷♀️

A not-so powdery or sweet vanilla with *some* boozy depth

The fragrance has a rich and very crisp smell of warm sweet caramel apple almost toasted and spicy which I like a lot, reminds me of an apple pie or apple-flavored oatmeal, unfortunately, this is not prolonged and lasts very little, and the hour begins to dissipate that feeling and after that, it's just slightly powdery vanilla & very creamy, almost gourmand smell but without being cloying or sugary, I thought it would be warmer and it was not so. I don't dislike fragrances that focus on this note but I've always thought that they have two negative aspects that play against them: they only smell like vanilla and they can remind you of other scents with this note, and Vanilla Love is (unfortunately) no exception. It's a pretty scent but it has a too-subtle drydown which in the end doesn't drive me crazy, I would have liked more nuances/textures to make it interesting. I'll stick with the start (for bringing something different) and nothing else. You might like: Warm Vanilla Sugar Bath & Body Works, Fresh Cream Warm Cashmere Philosophy, Eilish Billie Eilish, Fire At Will Jovoy & Vanilla 28 Kayali

I don't find Vanilla Love to have any similarities with Kayali, and it only really shares the non-sweet vanilla aspect with Spiritueuse. On my skin and to my nose, this is a very unpretentious (funny, given the price in my country) vanilla-myrrh-saffron-amber fragrance. Which is not to say it's disappointing, I absolutely adore it, I just don't get any of the apple, toffee, or sweetness that others get. Performance is fantastic, this won't budge from skin until washed off, and you will be in a lovely cloud of it all day- without it being too much for other people around you. I've been wearing this over summer, which is hot and humid where I am, and it doesn't turn nasty or have the smell change for the worse in the heat and if I sweat. I'm looking forwar to wearing it this winter and seeing how it performs through cold humidity.

So I was stupid enough to blind buy this as it ticked all the boxes ....but boy am I disappointed. All I get is a very weak amber and nothing else? It reminds me of an old woman who lived down the road from us when I was little. It is so amber based on my skin that I had to shower to get rid of it cause it was too much. I’ve somehow expected more with vanilla and apple etc but guess this goes down as a bad blind buy 😂 Put it up on eBay let’s hope someone loves it 🙏

A woody and slightly boozy vanilla. Quite dense in texture and linear, decent longevity and best worn in the autumn and winter. It reminds me of All Saints flora mortis, but of course alot fuller and more lush. I can see how it would be in the same family as Missions, and Mercedes Black. Based on the one note- vanilla, I was expecting something simpler.

Yeeeezzzz had a girlie sitting close to me in a restaurant and all guests were complaining about this nauseating, overwhelming synthetic cheap smell throughout the whole restaurant and impossible to enjoy the meals! How much influence a fragrance can provoke; in this case..... in a embarrassing and negative way.

Great news for JC Vanilla Love, lovers out there... Dapper Fragrances just dropped information that this is coming soon in their scent library!! They made their impression of Vanilla Love and it will be available soon! I am so excited!!! Layer this with BBW Vanilla Woods. They compliment each other well!

Contrary to what another reviewer stated, this is MILES away from Ani. Ani is super spicy and vanilla after the fact. Vanilla Love is fairly sweet and, although not listed, seems to have a note that hints at a tobacco blend. Beautiful vanilla, not heavy but deep enough to be versatile year round.

This is a decent but derivative vanilla w/ musk to my nose. I don't get the comparisons to high-end/big tickets vanillas in the comments...you don't even have to go that high up the vanilla food chain imho...this is similar to the original Lavanila and Maison de la Vanille range.

This reminds me of Initio Absolute Aphrodisiac, I'm surprised no one has mentioned it. It doesn't have the civet so no animalistic note but they smell super similar. VL is also a tad sweeter in my opinion but if you like VL and can't get it you may be happy with AA.

Just blind bought this and this is VERY close to Nishane Ani. You definitely do not need both. I think this is way closer to Ani then it is to SDV. Beautiful vanilla though, a bit spicy (I’m assuming from the pepper and patchouli which is in actual note list.)

To my nose this is simply a lighter Vanilla 28. Gorgeous, but nothing ground breaking whereby I must have it.
