Sunset in Jumeirah

Let me start off by saying that I have slowly sold off pretty much all of my tobacco perfumes. I was just so tired of the same old tobacco notes in perfumery and the usual accompanying notes. When Jinkoh Store released this one I went in with super low expectations thinking it was going to be another boring, been there done that iteration of a tobacco fragrance. Wrong. So wrong. This perfume blew me out of the water and it still ranks as my top favourite Jinkoh Store offering. Mac below has pretty much nailed the description of this perfume. All I can add is; this is so addictive. I can smell it on my skin the entire day and on clothes for days and I can’t get enough of it. Oud and dusty tobacco mastery in a bottle.

Sunset in Jumeirah is one of my favorite releases of 2025. It is so effortlessly beautiful and easy to wear, while still being unique and interesting. Jumeirah opens with a creamy sweetness, with notes of strawberry, dates and apples combined with condensed milk and black tea, that creates a delicious creamy candy vibe similar to campino candies. There's also a tobacco note in the top that is incredibly pleasant. The tobacco is moist, sticky but subtle, and combined with the creamy fruits creates a flavored shisha vibe that is stunning. As the perfume dries down on my skin I get a bit of spiciness from cardamom, clove, saffron and cinnamon. The spices blend perfectly with the black tea and further support the shisha vibe, rather than taking the perfume into a spiced direction. The mid is also where the rose otto and absolute becomes noticeable. The rose adds a light jammy floral quality that also blends perfectly with the other notes. In the base, is where I get more tobacco, and also the Laotian oud. The tobacco vibe sticks around for the life of the fragrance, always leaning towards the relaxing shisha vibe. The tobacco never gets too intense or cigar-like. The Laos oud is subtle, yet perfectly matched for this composition. The sweet, woody oud enhances the rest of the notes, while adding just a touch of earthiness to let you know it is there. To me, Jumeirah is a 10/10 perfume. Not every day do we get an artisanal perfume that is so wonderfully wearable, yet bold and unique. The blending in Jumeirah might just be some of Marius’s best work to date.
