Sunset in Oman

Sunset in Oman is a beautiful amber floral attar that opens with candy-like citrus sweetness. Although the only fruit listed in the notes is peach co2 extraction, I get a big blast of a citrus sweetness right at the top. The bright opening is tamed by the powdery honey vibe from the jonquille absolute, and it further adds to the sweetness of the composition. There is a very subtle resinous tone coming from the omani green frankincense, but it is gentle and not smoky or ‘church-like’ at all. This frankincense is truly unlike anything I have ever experienced. It is very piercing and tingles the nose in a delightful way. Maybe this is where that citrus is coming from?. I am also picking up on the sweet jammy persian rose otto that blends nicely with the other florals. The attar contains grey and white ambergris, and it adds a slight mineral tinge, but this is not an ambergris heavy fragrance. The ambergris is mild, complex and in the background, adding just the right amount of nuance, without taking the fragrance into an animalic amber heavy direction. Sunset in Oman is one of those unique fragrances that you just have to experience yourself. Reviews and descriptions just can't do it justice. It is an instant mood booster, and can easily be worn in any and all situations by anyone. My only gripe is that I only have a tiny bit left, and I wish I could apply it more generously.
