Oud Bhut Beng

First of all, this is a natural oud fragrance with a very strong animalic opening, definitely not for the faint-hearted. It’s a true powerhouse. The scent fills the room and announces itself before you do. Longevity is exceptional; it lasted on my skin all day and was still noticeable even after a shower. The opening is intensely animalic, then it gradually settles into a deep, woody, and distinctly masculine character. It has a lot of notes inside, and you'll smell different notes throughout the time you're wearing it. If you appreciate real, natural oud, this is a fragrance you’ll likely enjoy.

A gorgeous woody aromatic scent centered around a slightly funky Bhutanese Oud. The perfume opens with notes of a variety of woods (cypress, cedar and rosewood) and slight spice before moving to an aromatic floral heart of patchouli, geranium, rose and Jatamansi. The perfume settles on the base which highlights the oud surrounded by sandalwood, birch tar, musk and ambergris. The masculine leaning scent has strong projection and excellent longevity. I've had my bottle a few months. I've given it little wear given that it's a 30ml release. It's a smokey, leathery oud. A hint of sweetness. Definitely for snooty perfume people. Closest thing I've encountered is Amouage Silver Oud. I usually wear the amouage since it's less expensive and scratches the same itch. Where's my free bottle, Arthur? I'll review it.
