Fir of the dark

Ah... a scent that 100% hit the mark for my tastes and I am doubly glad that we have such a "representative" in Poland created by "our" fellow countryman. Big congratulations... chapeu bas to the creator for this smoky, dark green "forest scent". Like Hans Hendley, or Leslie Wood Peterson, or Ernesto Collado Sala- Jakub created an exceptional work combining the mysterious and dark world of the forest at dusk with the world of a fire burning in it, consuming dry swaths of needles and resins. So here we have spruces, cedars, firs, juniper "sap", a large dose of various mixed greenery and a large amount of smoke. I will gladly crouch down next to this fireplace and feast my eyes and nostrils on this game of wonderfully mixed worlds and scents. Congratulations once again and I sincerely recommend getting to know them. Good durability, also high projection.

Wow, this opens up smelling like armageddon in a forest--as if the lush, green forest created by "Fir of the Light" was set ablaze, and I can even kinda feel the heat from the flames emanating from my skin. Incense and smoke dominate the scent profile, as opposed to the greenery in "Light". It also went a bit heavy on the vetiver and cade oils. However, there are surprisingly not any overpowering notes. Which brings me to the scent strength--this stuff is POTENT, but man it smells amazing! The blending of natural, quality ingredients is immediately evident--you can point out every listed note throughout its life, but they're all simultaneously really cohesive. I like "Light", especially since it's more wearable, but the dark side has a hold of me 😈

I love it! It is nowhere near as heavy as I thought it would be, but it is a somewhat dark, rich and masculine-leaning composition. No sweetness involved, which is a major pro to me. This one goes to my favorites immediately.

I can not recall but one of Azmans smells like that. Bold woods with incense and fir. Dry down incense with fir and all the darkness at the back. If You like Terroni, Nudiflorum, Azman, Francesca Bianchi You might like this one also.

So sappy. Smells like burning frankincense in a pine forest just as the sun rises in spring, when everything is still cold and wet. One of my favourites. I currently own it as a sample, but I'm currently working my way through some Pineward samples with a very similar vibe (eldritch, fanghorn 2, murkwood) before I decide which one I want to invest in a full bottle of.
