Golden Gardenia

This is the strangest scent I've experienced in quite a while. I genuinely can't tell if I love or hate it. It smells like a spicy suede handbag or with loose pencils and a very vaguely floral not that smells less like a flower and more like the lingering smell of a floral cigarette clinging to the material. It's nice, but it literally smells like a middle class aunt's work bag she takes to her accounting or a secretarial job in the city. At the same time, it's oddly sexy in the sense that it feels effortlessly confident,smokey and seductive. If you want to smell a no bullshit middle aged woman in STEM, this is the scent for you lol. In terms of longevity, it's still a little underwhelming for a perfume but it's better than many of the Jo Malone scents I've tried (only Bluebell sticks on me for more than 2 seconds) and the projection is quite soft. I'd say it gets about 3 or 4 hours. I got this at a great price (a nice lady sold me a 2/3 full bottle of 100ml for £30) , but I could see this being a fair swing around £90 if you have the money for it. I usually think pricey scents aren't worth it, but this is unique enough to be worth it if it sounds nice to you.

This scent is like a fresh twist on a classic gardenia, and it's pretty darn amazing. You know how gardenias can sometimes go all sweet and overpowering? Well, this one takes a different route. It mingles with wood, leather, and a touch of elemi, giving it this totally new and classy edge with a balsamic, spicy, almost peppery nuance. It's like a burst of energy and femininity in a bottle, but here's the kicker: that dry down, oh boy, it's something to swoon over. They marketed it for spring, but honestly, I think it's a perfect fit for that in-between time when summer's cooling down but the cold of winter hasn't hit yet. And you know what? I can totally see myself rocking this scent on those crisp fall days. It's versatile like that.

Really in-your-face, woody, leathery sort of floral and I find it so unique and addicting to smell. Triggers a scent memory for me but I haven't figured out what yet and it makes me keep wanting to come back to it. Excellent for evening year-round. I don't think the name suits the juice, definitely do NOT blind buy this

The components of woody, floral, and leather have blended seamlessly. I like that the dry down is more of a leather note, but it also concludes powdery which could be a love it or hate it thing. I’m more drawn to it now than the first few times I tried it as it somehow entices you to keep wearing it because of its overall unique scent.

this gardenia is not the big oily kaboom gardenias from the 80s. it is a happy, transparent, easy to wear white florals. i am not worried of overspraying when wearing this. a beautiful bunch of gardenias, fresh, in full bloom. it has a slight woodiness and bitterness . feels just a little bit oily. with a touch of soft animalic , leather at the base. one of my favorite from jo loves!
