White Rose & Lemon Leaves

A rose and citrus lovers dream come true! The back story: I was looking for a replacement for Stella by Stella McCartney, its becoming harder to find and I wanted something which captured the same vintage yet modern, English garden rose scent, various things were suggested to me (I'm still going to sample them all) and I fell upon this one evening whilst browsing SpaceNK's website. If you dislike rose, you may very well like this since it isn't your typical dusty/blousey rose type scent, its a fresh, bright modern rose, reminding me slightly of rose lemonade. Its composition, with it being a Jo Malone/Jo Loves scent is really simple but its quite effective and really full bodied, Jo Loves states notes of: White Rose Oil, Lemon Peel, Rose Absolute and Cedar Wood. The opening is very bright and sharp from the lemon peel, on my skin, luckily it doesnt venture into kitchen cleaner territory, it doesnt take long for the white rose oil and the rose absolute to emerge with the lemon peel and cedar peaking out every so often to make things a little bit more interesting. Longevity is moderate, it follows the typical airy, fresh and simple style of most Jo Malone/Jo Loves scents and the silage on my skin is soft, its one of those scents that hides and bursts back out during the course of the day which I actually quite like. Definately a favourite and a 99% chance of repurchasing in a 100ml bottle <3

Do NOT judge this one prematurely because of the opening. It’s nothing but extremely loud lemon for the first 15 minutes or so, sort of obnoxious like lemon pledge. And then it morphs into a lovely, refreshing, bright rose. It’s delightful. At an hour or so, the rose blooms voluptuously. Dewy, velvety, lightly herbal and refreshing. Once it’s settled down, the lemon serves to “tarten” the rose, and it’s absolutely delicious, like rose cupcakes with lemonade. Hours and hours later in bed, I still get whiffs of that glorious magical rose. I would say the sillage becomes quite personal pretty early on, but the longevity is fantastic. Great candidate for layering with rose lotion. Update: yes, it layers beautifully with rose lotion. Arm length projection for at least 6 hours. I can still smell it on my arm 24 hours later and it’s so gorgeous. Heavenly.

Currently my new signature scent! As a huge fan of Eternity Rose Blush (sadly discontinued), this reminds me of the initial fresh notes of that perfume (I still have some so can compare). It also reminds me slightly of Turkish Delight - but it's a sharper, fresher note with the most beautiful fresh rose scent - imagine walking through a rose garden lightly misted with morning dew! It's heavenly. It reminds me of walking through my Grandparents garden as a child and also the lemon zest soap they kept in the bathroom. I absolutely love it!

Imagine a white rose in the cool morning mist with petals edged with silver lining of lemony sharpness. It could cut at first but when the flower blooms, it is astonishingly delicate. And I cannot agree what Marie_Anne mentioned about the longevity, this gem could be easily perceived at arm-length even further after 3 or 4 hours. Mind you that most current perfumes could not survive that long on me due to individual body chemistry. Hence I give White Rose & Lemon Leaves and Jo Malone, MBE my sincere respect.

Not a complicated scent, but a summery option for rose (and citrus) lovers. The lemon is refreshing and bracing for summer yet also round and soft - real lemon leaves, balm or blossoms instead of the sour, sharp fruit. The rose is a lovely and prominent garden variety - in fact wearing this perfume reminds me of sitting in my mother’s rose garden if I also had a lemon drop in my mouth. I absolutely love this pretty scent for summer and spring.

I love this because I really really really love rose. The natural smell of rose. Real rose, not candied up, not undercut with a dozen other flowers. A lot of people aren't going to like it. ''EDIT: Despite initial strength, didn't last as well as I'd anticipated and didn't actually project much. Not terribly surprising for a soliflora. But it IS a yummy genuine rose.

I was surprised how much I absolutely adored this! It’s an incredibly realistic, fresh, bright rose. Clean not in the inoffensive-laundry-musk way so many “clean” perfumes are, but more like the clear, sharp colors of a bright summer day. You feel like you’ve stuck your face into a bouquet and there’s something almost juicy and edible about it. This is brilliant.

This has lasted surprisingly long on my wrist! So glad, because I love many of Jo Malone's fragrances under her different brands, but many don't last long. I can still smell White Rose and Lemon Leaves faintly on my wrist 12 hours after I applied it. A really beautiful, fresh rose fragrance with lemony green notes.

Very crisp rose scent with a hint of lemon. Actually, lemon is not distinctive here, it just adds a bit of sharp edge to rose. It is truly white rose as it is called - innocent, young, fresh. Lovely scent, uplifting, but poor longevity as usual for JM and Jo Loves is the same.

This is one of my favourites from the Jo Loves line. This is a bright rose scent, with the lemon leaves adding a green freshness to an otherwise straight up rose. I am the odd duck for whom Jo Loves lasts hours and hours. This is breezy and perfect for summer.

Fresh and breezy, this might become one of my favourite combinations. It's zesty, a bit bitter, with the cheeky rose intertwined so harmoniously... I just wish it was more long-lasting.

this is a fairly honest and direct perfume. what it says, it delivers. i like the white rose note quite a lot better compared to heavier red rose scents. the lemon leaf fades into the background pretty quickly, sticking around just enough to make the fragrance bright and light. i dont consider myself to be a big rose enjoyer but this stuff is pretty nice. i put this on before i headed to work and by lunchtime it was gone, though.

It's a very beautiful scent for a day. It's giving me both positive and sort of cozy feeling. I'm not quite sure why. Maybe because it actually reminds me of... my mom, and the roses she grows in her garden. What a pleasant feeling! ٩(。•́‿•̀。✿)۶ UPD This scent is for Spring and Summer. It can be just too loud and sharp during the Winter season. Keep it in mind ;)

I mean, this is OK. It's lemon and rose and that's all I get from it. It's not a complicated scent but it's bright and fresh and in a discovery set full of fresh citrus fragrances, this was a refreshing change in its more floral profile which holds its own against the lemon. Problem for me is that there's nothing there at all. I spritzed on loads to get anything from it, then after an hour or so it had all but vanished. while I wore it I could only really smell it when I smushed my nose right into my arm. Not for me. Green Orange and Coriander, on the other hand, is gorgeous.

This leans more citrus-forward, with the rose playing a supporting role rather than being the star. For me, it is more a lemongrass note, giving it a slightly herbal, creamy twist, making it feel nostalgic and comforting; almost like a scent from childhood (which I agree to some comments saying it reminds them of mosquito spray). It’s light, fresh, and easy to wear, but nothing particularly groundbreaking. If you enjoy citrusy florals with a clean, familiar feel, it might be worth trying, but it doesn’t stand out as a must-have.

Smell like lemon balm, or even a soft lemon myrtle scent on the opening spray. I did not get the lemon pledge smell and really enjoyed the lemon balm scent (a favourite herbal scent). Then fades to softer rose scent. More of as rose bud than a rose in its full or final stages of bloom. Its cute. its nice. Its not special and the price point doesnt seem to reflect the quality i would expect

For everyone who dislikes rose scent - beware - I feel like this is the that typical soapy but jammy dusty rose that for those who have hard time with rose, dislikes it. No disrespect to those who love it.

Not a fan. The lemon smells a bit off, like old. I have one that is slightly similar (Blooming Ballet: rose, fressia, white musk) that is what this one is wanting to be but doesn’t even know exists.

Wow! A blast of mosquito 🦟 spray. More similar to verbena/citronella rather than (what I assumed to smell like) lemon leaves. Well, blind buy at your own risk. Don’t waste your money.
