Highland Heather

My favorite cologne from this collection (along with "wild achillea", but I skipped that one as I already had it from previous collection when it was called "nettle and wild achillea"). Perfect blend of woody, green and sweet notes making it really unisex but maybe just a bit more masculine. I wouldn't mind if it was even more woody and green, but I guess that's why they brought back "wild achillea", for people who want just pure freshness without sweet notes. I can definitely see myself wearing this one during autumn, as it's not really a summer scent, it reminds me of a gloomy cloudy day after the rain.

I just got this on the gray market after smelling a small sample. It’s a gorgeous aromatic herbal fragrance! Growing up, we had lavender growing in our front yard and I would enjoy taking some buds off it and grinding them up in my hands and smelling it. So good! This has a similar vibe, plus add some pine needles 😍 Definitely unisex leaning masculine. And the bottle is so gorgeous! Wish it was full size and not limited edition!!

I love cypress notes in perfumes and this one was a love at first sniff. It reminds me of the forest in autumn after heavy rainfall which evokes a lot of memories. It‘s a masculine leaning woodsy, earthy scent perfect for gloomy weather or dark academia aesthetic.

I really enjoyed this scent. I agree that this is dark and yet gorgeous. Heather is such an interesting accord. this is my favorite from the collection!

I’ve been making my way through the Highlands sample set, and Highland Heather was next up. It opens with a touch of woodsy spice — almost like a soft snap of cypress — before settling pretty quickly into a clean, soapy floral. My first thought was, oh, this is giving Silver Birch & Lavender, and that impression stayed with me. Once the heather and lavender move forward, the scent smooths out into something familiar and easygoing. As it develops, the amber and vetiver start to warm up, adding a soft, grounded coziness that wasn’t there in the opening. That warmth gives the fragrance a subtle masculine edge that keeps the florals from drifting into powdery or overly delicate territory. A single spray really does feel like a small aromatic journey — each note taking its turn without rushing, shifting from herbal woods to clean florals to a gentle, warm base. For me, it’s not an instant favorite, mostly because I feel like Jo Malone has explored this aromatic‐woodsy‐floral path before. But it’s pleasant, steady, and absolutely something I can see being a great layering scent when I want to add a soft herbal lift without overpowering anything else. Overall: familiar, balanced, and quietly unisex — a reliable supporting player in a layering wardrobe.

Lavender and heath/heather soap. Doesn't lean masculine IMO, I'd say unisex. I love heath and go after fragrances with this note. I wish it was a dosed a bit higher but I won't complain, I'm just happy it's in a perfume. This and Mallow Moore (which is more feminine but still great) are excellent new releases from Jo Malone and Este Lauder. Scent 7.1/10 Performance 7/10

It smells expensive. thick bush of deep green with purple wild flowers It's sexy, unique and excellent, though I'll not buy it. I don't like to wear masculine perfume. It's unisex, for me it's masculine.

An interesting cologne. Heather s a sweet herbal note and it holds up well next to cypress and lavender. Leans a bit masculine.

Opened with a wonderful green cypress, light and refreshing. Then a floral scent came in and it was sweet and sourish, powdery and quite soapy. About just right amount of sweetness. At about here, on skin, it was blissful. Then resinous scent followed and it somehow clashed with the green cypress and made it less enjoyable. On clothing, so far, I haven’t reached the point where the resinous scent comes out yet. Will come back and report later. Edit. After the clash, the scent turned back to being soapy, which was okay by me. And it happened to both on skin and on clothing samples, so it wasn’t because of my skin chemistry. The skin sample lasted about seven hours while the clothing sample still have the scent after about nine hours. The silage was moderate.

This is REALLY soapy. I don't know what soap brand my dad used when I was a kid, but it smelled like this. It mellows out fast, and is nearly gone in about 2-3 hours. I bought it because I like how it layered with Wood Sage/Sea Salt. I half regret that purchase because I just don't reach for it given everything else I've got. It's just too soapy, and it just kinda smells like a dad... which I don't really want to smell like.

I love this! This scent is perfectly blended! The dry down is very pleasant and very masculine! This would be perfect to pair with Cypress and Vine or Wood Sage and Sea Salt!
