Jade Leaf Tea

Fizzy citrusy opening with lots of cold green accords, it smells both aromatic (even minty) and slightly tart (like a bit of green unripe apple). I like that it’s quite complex. I don’t agree with reviews that say it’s uninteresting and linear. For me it smells like a very strong green tea with a few cubes if ice and some lime wages on the side. Follow me on IG: scent.guide

This is my 3rd favorite of the collection. Doesn't really smell like the tea, but it's very good and tea-like; it's green and has a light metallic vibe that's actually pleasant, and the scent warms up later instead of staying cold and sharp. If it wasn't for Imperial Tea by Kilian (and Oribe by Satori) this might just be the best green tea fragrance yet!

Reminded me of Jasmine tea, unlike most of the others in this series. I'm not usually a big fan of green scents like this, but I'd wear this again.

Jade Leaf Tea is a bit confusing for me as of now. I find it a bit too typical but I find some interesting hidden note in this (?) Is if because Conifer / Resinous quality? But I feel this is quite masculine leaning. Can’t think the smell on girl. To be update. ===== Update 1 (May 21, 2023) Open Green leaf but resin like, hint of bergamot like zingy and citrusy Mate kick in, build a body along with pomelo like starts to kick in Scent becomes mildly soapy (?) Pomelo is not sweet, singy aspect smell really goods. There’s aromatic nuance lay under the mid the fragrance, it is not sage, it is not lavender nor basil. But it quite spicy (what could it be?) I can’t identify. After the cold touch scent getting warmer, you can almost smell the oiliness of sesame. Smell during you roast between raw sesame to roast sesame. But it is not fully roast and i will be cover in last layer, under aromatic-spicy aspect ===== Edit 1 : May 29, 2023 I tried to force myself, to wear and like but no. I wore this overtime in a year. Truly, I am not welly understand you. But I like the fact that "Jade Leaf Tea" keeps me refreshing for so long. Citrus is not my friend, they are not last at all on my skin. But I don't this "Jade Leaf Tea" is truly citrus centric scent. It has a bit more complication than its cover. I would say dominant material is woody material and round out with soft fresh spicy spice. I think, this is, probably something in realm of balsumic amber. The one can linger the sourness on my skin. It is softly sweet, fresh, balsamic and a bit bitter. I think, this is the case of Contifer-Citrus fragrance. I would barely reach this consider my main olfactive but this is the scent I am coming back so many time. If I need a refresh to my nose. I like this than most cologne offering, it is not going powdery. It is ambery fresh - ambroxan maybe. I truly love unique creation from this line, if you can ignore the fact. That this line, is not Tea line at all, it is not tea scent at all. My 2 favorite from the line is "Golden Needle Tea & Jade Leaf Tea" I would highly suggest you to try if you ever have chance. I could softly say you are my best "Green-Citrus in my interpretation"..

Hmm.. an interesting collection of 'tea' theme frags from Jo Malone. I have tried them all as I used to work for the company for many years and this particular collection was one of the least popular ever launched. The sales staff always found it difficult to sell this range to customers despite the beautiful presentation and packaging, and there are far nicer frags in the JM collection for way less cost. It was as though a frag creator at head office decided one day 'let's do an experiment to prove how dumb some consumers can be, let's make a range of tea flavoured scents, sell them at crazy prices just to prove people think a big name and extortionate price is always reflective of quality, ha ha!' so they concocted this extremely mediocre range of tea inspired scents, most of which make the wearer smell like they're wearing musty clothes stored in old, wooden trunks! No wonder JM had to heavily discount the stock to get rid of it. The product quality at JM has generally gone downhill since Jo sold her company to Estee Lauder, now it's all about reformulating using much cheaper ingredients; many long time customers have abandoned the brand as they have noticed the difference in quality, and know there are better quality products out there offering much better value.

A very nice and pleasant green scent, but similarly with my review of Oolong, it seems as if this has all been done before from other fragrance houses for a fraction of the price. Again I do not get any tea vibes from this. I find JML in general very over-hyped and over-priced generic perfume, which is probably what has happened since Estee Lauder took over, they play too safe and the scents do not last long enough. If you get the chance you should definitely try Jo Loves fragrances, having tried the majority in their range, I can safely say that the fragrances are superior in every way.

Kind of boring upon initial application so it did not impress me at first. However, after it sits on your skin, the green comes out with a hint of citrus. Don't pick up the sesame but that's alright. It's good but not great. I smell something light like tea and the scent itself is light but don't know if it's truly tea I'm smelling. More of a skin scent. Doesn't have much projection. I'd refer to it as tea-like. Decent enough but nothing special.
