Oud & Bergamot Rich Extrait

I am a big fan of the original Oud & Bergamot but i would never buy it because of it's bad performance. I would love to find a better performing and woodier version of the original and this is the rich extrait. In comparison with the og this is woodier, less sweet but overall the same scent with better performance. Except of the og this is in the same "fresh easy to wear oud" family as the Acqua di Parma Colonia intense oud, Creed Royal oud or m7 fresh. In my opinion this is more youthful, elegant and better smelling than the others. The performance is good in comparison with the og, about 8+ hours longevity and moderate protection for three hours but still transparent and there is not much development. This is a signature worthy scent, an everyday/everywhere/all year round scent that smells elegant, it's easy to like, gets a lot of attention and compliments! Overall, this is not a 10/10 but a well worth it 8-8,5/10 and definitely better than the original. It was insanely overpriced and now discontinued.. I wouldn't pay these crazy prices but you can find great discounts for jo malone fragrances and i got it in a great price. If you like the original and you can find a good deal for this, give it a try!

This is a quick review based on 2 sprays to the top of my right wrist at approx 1pm, while shopping at the mall. 6 hours later, and various hand washings later, I can still perceive the scent. Must say, I do like it, maybe even love it, the drydown is very elegant clean wearable Oud . It is a lot better than the regular oud/bergomot. This extrait, definitely lasts longer and radiates a bit more. I will return to the mall, and my plan is to apply 2 sprays to each wrist, and maybe 3 or 4 sprays to inner chest/under my shirt...and come back here for a follow up review. I am expecting good to great results. I feel that I may pull the trigger and buy, since the regular was great initially but turned completely skin scent. So far, this extrait has exceeded expectation. Will let u guys know soon.

If you like the regular Oud and Bergamot and hate its performance then give the extrait a try. This fragrance lasts on my clothes until i wash it and then some, on my skin it lasts for about 9 hours which is really good compared to the regular which lasts for maybe 3 hours on my skin. In my opinion try the extrait and see if you get the same performance from it then see if it is worth paying the price difference if both OK then go for it. 23-July-2020

Like Yngwie says, this rich extract isn't as sweet as the original and, in my view, that detracts from the overall scent. It's less distinctive despite the oud, which is still fairly subtle, having more lasting power. I'll be sending it back and will just deal with the original Oud & Bergamot's mediocre lasting power as the fragrance itself is better. Yngwie might be right that layering the two could work, but it's not worth the cost for me.

Really great scent. Shares the same dna with the Cologne intense version but they are not the same. It starts like TF oud wood vibe and turns down few moments later into its original version but sweater. Longevity is very decent . Sillage is not for impressing the crowd

This smells like Royalty. Regal, Noble, old money introvert signature scent. Sublime in its calmness.Just beautifully composed. Elegant. Very elegant, indeed. Beware, it is Not a beast mode perfume for extrovert party goers that long for attentions.

As with most Jo Malone: - so so overall - amazing opening - original scent - but doesn t last at all

I have worn the regular Oud and Bergamot for a few years and have always been annoyed at how it doesn't last. I found a good deal on the extrait on eBay so I bought it. So far, I've been happy with it. It doesn't smell as sweet as the original, but it smells similar enough and more intense that it's a great first layer to put the Oud and Bergamot original on top. This is probably what Oud and Bergamot should have been, but wasn't. I put it on this morning and can still smell it on my wrist (it's 5 pm now.) Obviously it's not cost effective to buy two bottles of relatively expensive scent to smell the way you want. However, I only wear this or Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille, I don't have any other scents, so I'm ok with spending this money for now.

Awesome scent, but its no different from the original. Unless got a bad batch or fake, performance still sucks. Discontinued smh. I did a comparison with the original I bought from Nordstorms, same scent though. I get compliments only after spraying every hour. Still the best all season fresh oud scent. I bought a bottle for $70 before it was discontinued. I am now at the point to where I will look for a good Extract Parfum clone, because the scent is that good.

Good quality oud. Smells just like the sillage of King Blue Amouage. Amouage being 100x stronger and longer lasting, and better quality than this. But this is a good one also. Gentler, more tamed. Cobclusion: if you love Oud, go Amouage King Blue

It’s exactly the same as the standard edition with one difference - the price tag (oh, and the fancy label). My advice: try before you buy.
