Rose Blush Cologne (2023)

An absolute explosion of rose. This is the smell of stuffing your nose entirely into an award-winning, garden-show rose and then inhaling deeply. There is no candy, no honey, no cedar, no "extra" that toys with this rose to make it something else. If you want to smell like a dozen of the most exquisite roses, this is it. The longevity is amazing, the sillage is perfect, it comes out smelling like roses and it doesn't change after it dries (on me). The bottle is exceptional and a single spray gives a very thorough coating of the perfume. Really really high quality which easily matches the price tag IMO. The only rose perfume that can give it a run for its money is maybe Aerin's Rose de Grasse, which I do like more but doesn't last as long. I'm not actually a fan of Jo Malone so this was a surprise. I find most of their fragrances to be forgettable and one-note. This rose perfume is certainly one-note but definitely not forgettable! I absolutely love rose fragrances, despite overall disliking floral fragrances. And this is one of the best rose perfumes I've smelled!

Initial alcohol blooms into fresh, young photorealistic roses sweetly scenting a bed of vernal greens. One whiff transports me to the center of a botanical garden on a bright, sunny day in May where all I want to do is meander through the blossoms inhaling deeply, becoming more intoxicated w/ each whiff. This rose is lighter, airier, more youthful & slightly more green than Red Roses Cologne; Red Roses is the mama & Rose Blush is her baby. I love them both. Combined, they create the most lovely shape-shifting rose ever!

This is, I think, the only Jo Malone perfume that has any longevity on me. The sillage is close, but it’s pleasant. I bought this a couple of years ago and have recently dug it out to try it again. I love rose fragrances and could recommend several that I much prefer to this one, however this is okay as a light day fragrance. Update - I have found myself consistently reaching for this so I think my initial reaction was harsh. It’s very green and fresh and uplifting and I now very much enjoy wearing it.

A green, fresh, spicy rose. Good longevity for Jo Malone. I loved it!

I personally think red roses by same brand is more of a masterpiece, and this is just a good crowd pleasing formula perfume with nice notes. Red Roses was realistic, spicy, unusual, dewy and incredibly attention catching. This Rose Blush is more universal, versatile, slightly more boring to me, and traditional. It's just a simple pink rose with green undertones provided by basil, but nothing overly exciting.
