Rose Blush Cologne

I found this to be an acquired taste, but that's not unusual with JM scents for a lot of people. Initially I thought I really quite disliked it, yet now it's one of my absolute favourites. I was blending it with other perfumes (gorgeous with JM velvet rose & oud for an evening out), when I realised that rose blush alone had grown on me to the point of love! It's fast becoming my signature scent and I really didn't expect that. I find it to be a modern twist on the vintage powdery rose scent with the basil evening that out.

I personally think red roses by same brand is more of a masterpiece, and this is just a good crowd pleasing formula perfume with nice notes. Red Roses was realistic, spicy, unusual, dewy and incredibly attention catching. This Rose Blush is more universal, versatile, slightly more boring to me, and traditional. It's just a simple pink rose with green undertones provided by basil, but nothing overly exciting.

I love rose - litchi accords so it comes as no surprise that I loved this. It's like a younger version of Diptyque's Eau Rose. I can smell the similarities, but it's also its own scent.

I agree tht it smells like eau rose. I haven’t smelled the beige labeled Rose Blush cologne (I believe this is the one ppl compare to Delina but this one’s a lot more subtle in a clean, almost aquatic way. I say ‘almost’ bcuz this scent can b placed in different perfume categories:floral, fresh, spicy, fruit—but it doesn’t quite lean towards one more than the other). This is a very simple fragrance, which might disappoint some esp the “I paid this much for this simplicity” folx, but I like tht this one can b blendable/layerable. I also love tht despite having a green note, this one isn’t screechy. It also like a ‘light lemon custard’ at times, but this doesn’t give the rose a harshness that citruses+rose combos usually have. It lasts a couple of hours (an appropriate amount of hours for me*) on my clothes. It’s a keep for me. (There are times when I like scents to leave, but also accompany me throughout the peak labor of my day*)

Smells like a lovely rose garden. 🌹Not sweet-jammy but sweet-fresh. Very realistic roses. 💐Perfect daytime fragrance for spring & summertime. I can't wait to layer this with Juliette Has a Gun Musc Invisible or Always. Or mebbe Not A Perfume Superdose. 🤔 7/20/23 -- this is perfect for layering with so many other fragrances. It's a fragrance chameleon. 🙌🏾

This smells EXACTLY like Eau Rose EDT by Diptyque. I smell absolutely no difference. It's a lovely rose scent none the less, but I was floored at the similarity. I don't think I could tell the difference if I was blind folded.

@barwench--Jo Malone fragrances were intended to be layered/combined with other (complimentary) fragrances. IMO, only JM Jasmine Sambac & Marigold and Myrrh & Tonka are strong enough to stand alone.

An herbal (basil) green rose, appropriate for spring. I don’t smell similarities with Eau Rose EDT by Diptyque, as that one smells very natural and this has a high pitched note that is throwing the composition left of center for me. Rose Blush also feels youthful, I think this would work perfectly on a 20 year old.

This is a basic-smelling rose lychee perfume. Sweet, inoffensive, a little tart but generally a scent that blends in well with the skin. I don't really think this warrants the price point, but it is well-made.

Like a watercolor of a rose, pale and watery. The herbal component, which I do not sense as basil, seems out of place.

On me this smelled very musky and did not mix with the rose in a good way. I had to wash it off.

Initial rose opening smells like les sables rose from LV then changes quickly into a girly litchee sweet floral fragrance nothing wow nothing special about it just meh 4/10

The watery litchi and rose with a basil twist, and powdery musk. It is a lovely, light scent. Somewhat it makes me remind of Rose Privee fo L'Artisan Parfumeur
