Sea Daffodil

Super warm and yellow floral, reminds me a bit of Orange Blossom but has a bit more depth and a bit less brightness. This smells delicious and is quite long lasting for Jo Malone; I applied around 6:30 AM and am just now reapplying at 4 PM. I can still smell it on my skin and clothes, but at this stage a refresh to the sillage will be beneficial. This is a love and will be getting lots of wear from me this spring and into the summer. I am kind of sad I bought the smaller size, since Jo Malone in general requires a bit of over spraying.

Very interesting. The ylang-ylang is not intense at all which I enjoy! I do not like the intense ones, as usually they are too nauseating for me and honey-like sweet. This ylang-ylang instead is floral, fresh, slightly aquatic and even woody. It's just perfectly in background, not taking all the stage. The perfume is very interesting and is going into my permanent collection!

The sweetness from the ylang-ylang and vanilla in this fragrance is so smooth and round. I couldn't stop smelling it on the test strip. There is also a whiff of salty sea air which I always love. I have never once smelled a sea daffodil so I don't know if this is how it smells, haha. This is tropical but not in the way I'm used to - there's no fruits, coconut, or sunscreen. The tropical feel comes from the yellow flowers and sea breeze. The texture of Sea Daffodil is creamy and almost dessert-like to me - not that it smells like dessert, that is just the impression I get. The longevity is all right and the sillage is very intimate.

I just received a sample of this and I am absolutely loving it!! One of my favourite summer scents is Beach Walk and this smells so much like it, only better. I love the woodiness, the ylang-ylang and the sweet vanilla. It's super sexy!! I could see myself enjoying this in the day time and night time. It's definitely a smooth, creamy summer night scent!! So, so nice! This is probably going to be my go-to laid back summer scent in 2023. It's clean, it's plush and it's frickin gorgeous!!

This is a tropical beachy creamy ylang ylang summer scent! I was hoping for a beautiful springtime daffodil/narcissus in this based on the notes, but I guess sea daffodil is not really from the narcissus family? It reminds me a lot of D&G Dolce Garden (which I love), but not as strong or interesting and with less longevity. So if that was too strong for you this could be a nice more sheer linear alternative.

Very excited to get the fragrance after trying the samples on the store, but when I got it I feel so disappointed. The smell just disappear within few minutes after I spray it on (I like a strong + long-lasting scent). It is such a shame because I truly love the scent, but the lasting power is just meh.

I’m very surprised about the notes here, even without thinking about the name this is quite salty, marine & tropical. Yellow flowers and salt sea air basically. It projects very well, and is quite a strong scent. Edit: this lasted all day on me and still with decent sillage for 12 hours.

Soft, sweet, sort of laundry like floral? Not what I was expecting. Getting zero pink pepper or citrus. Again just a soapy, creamy floral, with a bit of woody sandalwood. Very feminine. Very little projection. Reminds me a bit of Armani Aqua di Gioia Ocean, though softer.

Surprised no one had added roses on ice as a scent-a-like for this!! I’m assuming it’s the sea daffodil note that smells like straight cucumber. I love them. This one has a less perfumery smell and more juiciness to it. Very refreshing and clean.

From this, I primarily get strong yellow florals, ylang ylang, and citrus in the opening. There is a cloud of sweetness around everything from the vanilla and it really makes this smell like a beachy and tropical kind of scent and I can see why people can compare this to Alien Goddess (but this is more floral and more ylang ylang than jasmine). I found the projection of this to be very strong for Jo Malone and it lasted on the skin for hours. Not my personal favorite of the new releases because I like my scents a little brighter, but this is still a pretty scent.

Opened with a strong ylang ylang laced mandarin, and then turned to mainly ylang ylang with something light and refreshing I can only guess to be the sea daffodil listed in the pyramid. The ylang ylang is not that strong but still too strong for my liking. Longevity on skin is about seven hrs with about three hrs of moderate silage and the rest as skin scent.

At first spray, I liked this. It reminds me a lot of Alien Goddess, but not as smooth. It has a sort of underlying self tanner smell in me, which ultimately made it not work for me. On a plus, it projects really well for JM, and I could still smell it on my hands after washing them.

I liked this. I normally do not like most of Jo Malone's offerings, but this was lovely. A little more floral and delicate than Victoria's Secret "Water Vibes", but has nearly all the same notes. Gentle. Fades fast. But nice.

A yellow floral that has a distinctive vanilla note that is creamy and slightly plasticy smelling. There is something in this that is slightly off putting but I am not sure what it is, but maybe it's how the vanilla note clashes with all of the other components in this. The longer its on the more I don't care for this. This whole "A Sardinian Summer" line from Jo Malone is puzzling to me as I am not sure what they represent or who they are catering to. I've tried two from this line and didn't really care for either one. Just my 2 cents.

I can't help but wonder if my nose (or my sample?) is defective on this one, but it gave me clear coconut overwhelm up front. Smells like many other beachy scents, but heavier (the ylang-ylang, I think)--and who wants a heavy beach scent? I'd always rather wear Beach Walk, or else stay away from the suggestion of suntan lotion completely.

It does smell like sunscreen. Very beachy, sea smell. I don't smell any citrus at all. Lasts a while!

Finally, a Jo Malone scent that lasts?! This one makes me think of a (not-coconutty) sunscreen mixed with ocean air sitting on top of old coastal gran perfume on a linen shirt. Hope that's specific enough for you. I bought a full size bottle and its immediately the bottle I grab after a day at the beach, on my way to an oceanfront dinner reservation.

Love at first sight when I sprayed it. It smells "classy tropical". Almost bought it on the spot but, thank goodness, I didn't and waited patiently for it to develop fully: It turned into a very pungent wilted ylang ylang smell and faded completely from my skin in less than two hours. I think chemistry is key with this one.

Gives me the same vibes as clean reserve warm cotton but with a tropical yellow flower softener and aquatic notes. Was thinking this could work for days I can't handle anything too heavy in the heat. Torn on purchasing.

It reminds me of Etat Libre d'Orange Secretion Magnifique beacuse of it's marine - metallic notes. I like both.
