Sea Salt & Bergamot

wow! A really stunning mineral citrus, with a pretty good longevity for JML. 100% in the same vein as Le Sel d'Issey, I had a sample of that I adored a few months ago and it instantly reminded me of it. As with all of the other JML fragrances, it's a unisex scent- one that works really beautifully for me but I could totally envision on someone more masculine. Super gorge! x

Not a bad scent. I think you need to like salty immortelle in order to click with this one. I personally love salty fragrances with my favorites being DS& Durga Rockaway Beach, Les Indemodables Escale Endonisie, and Millésime Impérial to name a few. This one doesn't touch those ones, nor do I think it's as good as Wood Sage and Sea Salt from the same house. I'd put this one in the same category as maybe Montale Sand Flowers and Comptior Sud Pacific, that use immortelle to create a beach vibe. It smells very similar to Wood Sage & Sea Salt, but this one is a bit more airy citrus and sweet. I would say this is leaning more towards a soft sicilian lemon or citron.

Tried a sample of Jo Malone Sea Salt & Bergamot. It opens with a bright bergamot, followed by a unique metallic marine note. Sadly, that marine aspect quickly became stomach-churning and uncomfortable for me. The drydown leaves mostly just that metallic, nauseating sea scent, which felt a bit suffocating. Performance-wise, it lasts much longer than Wood Sage & Sea Salt, but because of the scent profile, I’ll be passing on this one.

I was REALLY disappointed with this fragrance. I usually love Jo Malone perfumes, but this one was a complete miss for me. Instead of smelling fresh and sophisticated, it reminded me of a musty, stale men's aftershave. The citrus notes come across as very sharp and overpowering rather than bright or refreshing, making the scent feel harsh and somewhat polarizing. If you're expecting something similar to Jo Malone's Wood Sage & Sea Salt, don't be fooled—this fragrance is nothing like it. Unfortunately, this one just wasn't for me.

Tell me why this smells exactly like dipping bread into olive oil and sprinkling salt on top... I do not want to smell like a Greek restaurant.

The mineral notes are way too sharp and headache inducing.

A bit disappointed with this one. It doesn't smell like anything. The sea salt accord in Wood Sage & Sea Salt is amazing, so I had expectations for this one. I don't even know what to say about it, it doesn't remind me of anything, it doesn't smell cheap or expensive, synthetic or natural. It's generic citrus (doesn't smell like bergamot more than any other citrus), there's a faint marine aspect, but that's it. What happened, Jo?

We won’t be buying, since Estée Lauder wants to sue the actual Jo Malone for using her name.
