Star Magnolia Cologne (2019)

Try Magnolia by Jenny Glow. Blue bottle. Same notes. Gorgeous packaging, in a box with a pop up stage of florals.

Pleasant, uncomplicated, fleeting, and forgettable. I'll wear this now that I've purchased a bottle, but would hesitate to recommend it to others. If you're thinking that she is the one and worth seeking out in the depth of over-competitive ebay auctions, learn from my mistakes and look for another magnolia-centric fragrance instead. There are other fragrances out there that don't wash out their magnolia to the point of it becoming a generic sort-of-white/sort-of-green floral. This is not worth the price or the struggle.

Smells like lemon and lime cordial which is not a bad thing, lovely and fresh for the summer months

Sadly there are many magnolia fragrances on the market that have an underlying synthetic aroma. Magnolia is a difficult fragrance note to recreate and is often found as a supporting floral accord in aquatic fragrances. Very rarely can you find a stand-alone magnolia fragrance that smells true to the actual flower. Star Magnolia Cologne by Jo Malone has recently been re-released as part of their 'Blossoms' line. It comes in the standard Eau de Cologne sizes, 100ml and 30ml with a matching 50ml Hair Mist. Star Magnolia is a surprisingly natural smelling interpretation of magnolia. I find it to be a pleasant dew-kissed, green magnolia fragrance with a hint of zesty citrus on a smooth sandalwood base. Like most Jo Malone fragrances, Star Magnolia can be layered or worn on its own. For a cologne concentration, this fragrance lasts surprisingly well on my skin. I get around four to five hours wear out of Star Magnolia with a light sillage emanating from the skin. Although Star Magnolia could be worn all year round, I would personally don this fragrance during the warmer seasons due to its freshness. If a fresh, straight-forward magnolia scent is what you're seeking, I would definitely recommend testing Jo Malone's Star Magnolia before it disappears from the shelves for another extended period of time.

I bought this perfume on a whim, passing by the Jo Malone shop. I had actually b give in for the new Orange Blossom, and it was good but when I tried this..oh wow, this is me. At first it's quite lemony and you smell the ginger, but if you wait a minute the incredible magnolia kicks in. I really like delicate white flower scents and this is the true deal. My parents have a 100 year old magnolia tree in their garden and these huge white flowers just envelop you. This perfume gives me that feeling, it's clean and while and pie and lovely. The neroli blends very well. I wrote it to work and everyone was coming up to me to say what a delightful scent I had. Excellent!!

I love magnolia flowers. Very beautifull interpretation of magnolia. Very well blended. Lovely, I am glad that I bought a full bottle immediately.
