Wild Achillea

100% a tomato leaf and garden weeds in the PRETTIEST way. I’m obsessed with this, I’ve gotten so many compliments on this (my most complimented perfume thus far actually) and I had to buy another bottle before it’s discontinued. I’m so sad that it’s LE as it’s in my top 5 frag line up 🥲 but I love this so much, it’s definitely very much a green scent so if you don’t like that scent family or perfumes that smell like “outside”, it may not be for you. But wearing this literally makes me feel like a garden fairy 🧚♀️ 🍅💛🌿

I was looking for a dried yarrow fragrance. I didn't find that here. It is a remarkably photorealistic scent of broken green stems - specifically the clear liquid that comes out if them. Very juicy and alive. Not in the least bit aquatic to my nose. Not a citrus overload either. My perfect green fragrance. I find it very transportative, smells like I've been pulling weeds - in a good way. What a shame this was a limited edition.

This fragrance holds a special significance for me—it marks the first time I purchased a fragrance from Jo Malone. Whenever I wear this, it instantly makes me happy.

Its a warm summer morning and you're walking through your garden, passing by your flowers, brushing your hand along the leaves. You stop by a tomato plant and rub a leaf gently between your fingers before moving on. I'm not one who goes for fresh green scents, but I just had to get this beautiful atmospheric scent. I love this! Reminds me of celery a little bit, super fresh and original. Not a very safe blind-buy option though, I recommend trying it out before purchasing. I can't compare this to any fragrance I know.

This is a fantastically fresh green scent. I'm a major lover of springy green scents, tomato leaf anything is guaranteed to bring a smile to my face. While this doesn't have tomato leaf, it has that same pure, bright green character. I've seen a few variations of the notes on different sites: neroli, water lily, achillea, nettle, vetiver, bergamot, and white musk. The citrus notes don't overwhelm the greenery or make it too sweet, something that often happens in otherwise promising green scents. Instead it all works together to create a fresh, zingy, springtime perfume. Unfortunately the longevity isn't great, about 30 minutes after two spritzes to the wrist and I have to work to smell it. If I found this on sale I'd still probably buy it, because it's just that good, but right now I don't think the performance lives up to the asking price for a tiny bottle.

Fresh, green, citrusy, even aquatic? But in the way that men's body wash or facial products are (does anyone else relate?) A sharp note in the beginning, then after a while I get something *slightly* richer like green foliage/grass, which definitely wouldn't be noticeable to others unless they have their nose right on your skin and breathing in a hard lung-full.

Photo realistic fresh foliage. The vetiver is not rooty, it smells like they used to top of the blade but left the root ball alone. The musk gives it some soapiness. Perfect for those that love green scents. 🌿 Scent 7/10

Fresh sharp green herbal with citrus. A retread from a previous collection

I was super excited to finally get my hands on samples from the Highlands collection, and Wild Achillea was the one I sprayed first. The opening hit me with an unexpected wave of nostalgia — the very first mist sent me straight back to high school. On my skin, it smelled like a cleaner, more refined, less punchy version of Estée Lauder Pleasures, while my boyfriend swore he was getting Nautica vibes. It was wild how we both had totally different but equally nostalgic flashbacks from the same spritz. The spicey bergamot and yarrow are out to play. Once that initial brightness settled, the transformation I have come to expect from Jo Malone did not happen as apparently. The heart note of nettle and waterlily lasts forever on my skin — and it's strong. Almost too powerful for my taste. And honestly, the best part doesn’t even happen until about the three‐hour mark. That’s when it softens into something completely different and the base notes show up: a gentle walk through an English wildflower garden just after sunrise, when the air is cool and the dew is still clinging to the petals. The whole scent mellows and becomes more naturally inviting. The linger is what got me. It’s airy white musk, botanical vetiver, and quietly the waterlily whispers — the kind of dry‐down change that makes you keep lifting your wrist for another close breath. Wild Achillea may open with a nostalgic punch, but it finishes like a soft, dewy countryside stroll.

Reminds me of the scent of freshly crushed leaves, a scent which might turn off some. Nothing else on skin sample. Vetiver made an appearance on clothing sample.

This is wet, fresh cut grass in a bottle. That's it. If you like that smell, this is your jam. If you're like me and associate nothing but wild allergies and runny noses with cut grass, this is to be avoided. To it's credit, I sprayed this on at the store at like 1 or 2pm and it was still taunting me when I went to bed at midnight.

Just tried this on skin today. It's pungent, very citrusy, and EXTREMELY green. I can tolerate the dry down but still it's not pleasant. It gives me the lavatory freshener vibe that I dislike. If you like something that's EXTREMELY green with pungent citrus, get this. I thought I was sniffing Hèrmes and not Jo Malone.

When you collect perfume, and add 3 or so new fragrances to your collection each season like I do, you can sometimes end up with bottles that are perfectly good, but not something that you would have purchased if you weren't a collector. In other words, you have fragrances that you enjoy and appreciate but don't madly love. Then, along comes a fragrance that makes you think "if I were a normal person, and only bought one or two bottles of perfume a year tops, THIS would be one of them." This feeling is especially poignant when the fragrance in question is a limited edition, and your heart aches a little knowing that once it's gone you may never see it again. Wild Achillea did this for me. As a house Jo Malone does citrus fragrances very well. I would argue that they are the stars of their lineup. The house is especially good at UK-style fragrances with a decidedly country vibe, it's very much their DNA. But they don't just do the English garden type fragrances (i.e. the charming, refined, and bucolic Earl Grey & Cucumber, or the delicate, powdery, and pretty limited edition Elderflower Cordial, both of which smells like something a Jane Austen heroine would wear). They also are also excellent at capturing the more wild, uncultivated aspect of the country (i.e. the incredible Blackberry & Bay, for when you want to smell like a heroine from a Thomas Hardy novel). Wild Achillea, being apart of 2023's Scottish Highlands themed collection and 2019's Wild Flower & Weeds collection (when it was called Nettle & Wild Achillea) is decidedly in the latter camp. It's herbal, fresh, and bucolic. I've never wandered a moor, but this is what I imagine if would smell like. It's very green, yet somehow has a warmth to it that many very green fragrances do not have. I bought this as a late summer fragrance, and it will transition beautifully into autumn. The bottle is also absolutely stunning. I love it when Jo Malone adds some colour to their limited editions. If this is every reissued again in another collection a few years down the line I will absolutely repurchase it. Just stunning.

Same thing as "Nettle and wild achillea" from one of the previous collections, just with a slightly different name and in a different bottle. Very nice scent but Jo Malone recently started to recycle old scents as new which is a lame move (they did the same thing when reselling "Tobacco and mandarin" as "Starlit mandarin & honey").

This is such a gorgeous perfume. I have never heard of perfumes with nettle but I am truly impressed. It's fresh, green, herbal, slightly ozonic and dewy. It's a very wet green perfume. It has beautiful sour and spicy accords due to the addition of other notes.

This smells exactly like my childhood summers- green, weedy, sun-baked sweetness, barefoot in the dry grass, forest shade, nettle tea. My first experience of prominent nettle in a fragrance and it’s perfectly simple, I am forever changed

Wet and fresh perfume. It does start off quite offensive but the dry down is very pleasant! I’m glad I bought this! Longevity and sillage is outstanding!

Not bad, but not special either. Lemony green herbal iced tea.
