Willow & Amber

The scent if quite strong, compared to other Jo Malone. And I attribute it to perhaps vetiver in the pyramid. Vetiver tends to be an intense note for me, and generally speaking, sets the stage. The willow of course is dominant too, as it's the main accord, but over time it fades away. I do detect amber, but it's just sitting slightly in the base; it's a soft warm amber without the usual spiciness that the ambergris for example has. The perfume is green, herbal, and is gorgeous. It's also incredibly unisex and easy to wear.

The opening, I get very loud notes of spicy smoke willow with cashmere wood and amber. Afther 1 hour the spicy smoke is less, left only the smooth and a little bit sweet of willow with more clear of cashmere wood and amber instead. Veviter just start a very soft fresh greenish now but I can't notice any of vanilla The smell is very long lasting but after few hours it becomes only a skin scent, silage is poor after the first hour. Suitable for every age group and in every occasion, but it doesn’t give any feeling in a way of dating or seducing. Unique scent anyway, if you want a perfume that doesn't smell like any other in perfume market, this is the one. The bad is just only you can smell it and nobody else (after 1 hour)

It opens up with bright lemony note, reminding me of my late auntie's kitchen when she was making elderflower cordial. The scent of sunshine of a gentle summer's day. Sweet, refreshing, playful and young. On my skin, amber is barely noticeable. Being so shy, it takes 2 hours or so for amber to introduce herself. It brings very very soft warmness. Clean and pure like a innocent child. Weak longevity with poor sillage. It's the kind of perfume that only yourself and those who are close enough to hug can smell. Although it's nice and lovely, it smells somehow somewhat cheap. There are a lot of similar body sprays and colognes out there. I don't regret buying it because of the beautiful bottle design though.

What a realistic willow scent! It smells like when you are walking through the willow trees at riverfront. It also reminds me of those willow woven furniture. When you take a nap in a willow armchair, the scent lingers on your skin for quite a while. I just cannot imagine a situation that i want myself smell like willow :) Maybe a room scent in some occasion...The blend is quite similar to Cade & Cedarwood, but performance is weaker. A pass for me.
