Yuzu Zest Cologne

Yuzu zest is a very nice scent. Opens with the brightness of yuzu and gradually changes to a woody scent combined with fresh, spicy and aromatic. It smells like a green and woody conifer, like a pine forest next to the beach, it's very good for me. I like scents that remind me of the sea. And there is green from the trees. That's nature! But... the scent spreads well only in the first 1-2 hours. You have to over splay it to spread the scent well. Lasts well for the first 2-3 hours. After that, it's a thin skin scent that almost Can't smell it. I love Yuzu zest. It smells great, but it's not worth the money. But yes, if you like airy scents, It usually doesn't last long, And the bottle is more beautiful than Yuja, blossom collection The bottle gives a very summer feeling, I love it. Even though it looks simple, I will collect it.

I bought Yuzu zest cologne in April. At first the longevity was terrible, only 4-5 hours, now after not wearing yuzu zest for a long time it is getting better!! I sprayed it at 9pm and at noon the next day I could still smell the skin scent. It's crazy. Is this a perfume that has been aged? I personally like this scent a lot, the yuzu, clary sage, fir balsam are very good. It's one of my favorite citrus fragrances. Too bad it's limited edition.

Yuzu Zest cologne is a great summer scent! The top note of yuzu is super bright and fizzy, which is perfect for those hot beach days. The clary sage in the middle adds a nice earthy vibe, and the balsam fir and cedarwood base notes give it a warm touch. It really fits the summer mood!

Deep yuzu scent. but it doesn't feel cool, it feels warm and soft, because of woody and purple flower nots. I felt this scent is like warm korean yuza tea or baked yuzu on firewoods. I think this perfume goes well with winter or cold weather.

I really love this!!! It's fresh, citrus but still unique on my skin. Not overpowering which is what I prefer in my perfume. Sad to see this is limited edition and even bought a backup!

My favorite cologne. It opens up with the bright zesty yuzu. The dry down is fresh and woody. Perfect for hot humid weather. I feel so fresh and energized when I wear it.

I have been looking forward to try this scent - finally something citrus-oriented from Jo Malone again. How does it smell? Different from what I expected. It is more of a serious, green aromatic scent with some herbal and conifer nuances, rather than a happy, vibrant, citrus-forward scent that some might have anticipated. The very opening has the vibrant, bitter citrus - yuzu - that was promised in the description, but it mellows down to a predominantly herbal-aromatic scent. Definitely unisex, leaning slightly masculine to my nose. It has the natural Jo Malone cologne style. I would imagine a more serious, thoughtful, mature, and stoic person wearing this scent in a professional setting or an office. The scent has a calming and soothing quality. Overall nice, if you're looking for a scent in this category, but as a woman, I would not necessarily run to the store to buy this scent. I would recommend men to try it, nevertheless. Edit: it looks like it is a relaunch of Yuja from 2020 based on the notes. I haven't tried Yuja before so I can't draw a comparison.

Yuzu is absolutely my favorite citrus fruit, there is something that is just so special about it, how sour and effervescent it is while still being just the right amount of sweet. I think this scent from Jo Malone does a great job of portraying yuzu in a pretty realistic way. The brightness and sunniness of the yuzu, however, is a little tamped down by the clary sage. It's like it knocks the tip of the pyramid off for me. It could be the balsam too, but there's something a little muddy about this dampening note that reads more as clary sage to me. I love that zing from the very top of the yuzu and I miss it here. Ironically, I think the clary sage and evergreen notes shift this scent slightly more into cleaning product territory than the citrus alone would have. I love citrus and I have rarely if ever thought that a fragrance smells like a cleaning product, but the cedar and fir might tip it over the edge for some on this one. Good, but it could have been great. 7/10.

If this is what actual Yuzu smells like, I'd be very happy. Besides the pronounced Yuzu note, the overall scent is also very sweet and smooth, not as sharp and vegetal like the real citrus. Likely due to it being a cologne, Yuzu flees within the first half an hour, and entire scent would be gone from my skin within the next two hours. The scent lasts slightly longer on the clothes, up to a few more hours, but the Yuzu scent would still be gone way too early before I can enjoy it more.

I'm typically not a huge fan of extremely citrusy fragrances, but this one is so simple and unabashed that I can't help but enjoy it. Probably the warmest weather fragrance I own because of how sharply the citrus accord cuts through heat/sweat/whatever. Keeps you smelling fresh. The dry down has it lose some of the yuzu tang and turns it into an ever-so-slightly woodier, spicier scent on my skin. Again, not complex. It's simple in a really beautiful and useful way. Good stuff.

Surprising sweet and gender neutral. Fresh and light, yet bright and sunny. Smells like the color light yellow.

This smells like Gap Grass but more herbal than fresh.

This smells COMPLETELY different on the skin than it did in the bottle/on a test strip. When I smelled the test strip, I was very excited because it reminded me of other fresh citrus forward scents that I really like, like Louis Vuitton Afternoon Swim, which is double the price. I was very disappointed once I sprayed it on, because it just smells like soap. I will give it points I guess...for lasting power and strength, but considering that it smelled like soap, I wasn't HAPPY that the smell was strong. After several hours I wanted to wash it off because I felt self-conscious. It wasn't an awful smell... because soap isn't an awful smell lol. Very refreshing, but also very poor longevity and quite generic. It's just a softly bitter, zesty yuzu, almost similar to bergamot. Very one-note. I see this is compared with some other citrusy perfumes, but they are more long lasting and are better nuanced.

Really stood out yesterday while testing all the latest Jo Malones in shop. So zesty, green, fresh! A touch tropical. Does it last though? Jo malone is not the best in this sense and it is a citrus. But I have hopes. If anyone wants to swap a decant / sample for something I own please hit me up!

A basic citrus peel summery with a masculine generic body spray quality. soft and nothing special . meh.
