Beaute

So far, I am very impressed by the Johan brand! Excellence and priced right as well. REVIEW OF BEAUTE BY JOHAN A lovely fruity floral that reminds me of youth & innocence. I would picture Snow White or Cinderella smelling this way. It is slightly sweet & floral not heavy or cloying but effortless and very feminine. Perfect for a young woman tho an older could also wear. A classic soon to be!

I love this perfume! The only downside is that it does not last long at all :( It's a good thing it isn't expensive

I also have the Beaute d' Orient, citrical and great scent. I bought them, cause I heard they where oil based perfumes and not alcohol, and so they'd last longer. If anyone knows about this, let me know.

Just saw a home page article about the newly released "Pink is in the Air" by Mandarina Duck and I did a double-take. The liquid looks like the exact same shade. "Weird," I thought. Then I looked at the notes... ...the notes for PIITA are EXTREMELY similar with the exception of a few notes that--oddly enough--are all found in another Johan B frag: "Beaute d'Orient". It looks like the people at Mandarina Duck mixed up the two Johan B frags in a 50/50 ratio, slapped on a new label and a higher price tag and called it their own. Here's the "Pink" pyramid showing which notes are in common with the Beaute and Bd'O frags: TOP: tangerine (from Beaute), pineapple (from Beaute d'Orient), black currant (from Beaute) MIDDLE: water lily (from Beaute), jasmine (from Beaute), freesia (from Beaute), peach (from Beaute d'Orient) BASE: white musk(from Beaute), sandalwood (from Beaute d'Orient), vetiver (this is the only note not borrowed from Johan B) Could MD have picked out the best parts of the highly acclaimed Beaute and the equally touted Beaute d'Orient from cheapo fragmaker Johan B and combined them into a pricier clone? Aren't knock-offs supposed to be cheaper than the originals? I did not leave a review on this page since I have not smelled Beaute (though I like Beaute d'Orient on my wife); I'm just here to point out the odd coincidence.

Spotted it today for a very good price ,all the notes seems like my alley ..So I am planning a blind buy .. Tested it in a shop & it's almost identical to Cool Water by DaviDoff ..but I am happy Fragrantica is listing Johan B 's fragrances here :)
