Before Midnight

A sweet, youthful perfume, very suitable for the evening and going out in the club. I could call him the younger brother of the "famous" 1 million. It is quite similar in smell, only that the longevity and projection is moderate and not bombastic like that of 1 million.

It is a synthetic cloying sweet wood fragrance for men. Being a woman, I don't like it at all on myself and on a man. It smells cheap and it looks cheap (the packaging). Not recommended. 1/5

I do hope that the blend of those notes would really live up to Galliano's idea, and description of so-called 'dazzling, theatrical, and glamorous' men'. To me, the olfactory blend is pretty boring, and nothing new. But, (as mentioned earlier) I do hope that the scent would do justice and really speak the idea behind its creation. Also, it's from Galliano, the one whom the world is always looking forward to his surprise. Now, the bottle... there's no Galliano's very DNA there. Not even a trace. In short, the bottle, is ugly. To make it worst, since this is frm Galliano, one of the world's most celebrated designers, and IF he was involved in creating the bottle with bad lettering printed on it, then I dare say the design is uber ugly. (I think the idea of having an embossed bowtie is really cool, it just doesnt go with the design of bottle, the cap and the ridiculous print. It makes me wonder that this could possibly be among the rejected design for Miss Dior Cherie 2005, well probably...) The advert... Hmm, I could sense the color scheme, the background is more like Dior's very own, Addict EDP. But this one is horrible, it looks like Galliano has all this grand idea but has to go small with the budget.

I received a few decanters of this one. At first I wasn't impressed, maybe because I tried it during extremely hot summer days and it was too sweet to my nose. On colder winter days, Before Midnight turned out to be a super sexy date scent, sweet but not asphixiating (it was heat's fault), and long lasting. Now I'd like to buy a full bottle (I don't care if people thinks it's bad looking, what matters is the juice!!!), but I can't find it anywhere. Why??? Wasn't it commercially successful enough?

Before Midnight is a typical modern clubbing scent, a copy of 1 Million. A well balanced copy though. All the edges are smoothed here, heavy notes like leather have been excluded, and fruits are accentuated. Nothing spectacular or new, but well crafted Sophie Labbe's creation. The sillage is powerful, the longevity is good.

Very nice ......... for ladies above 80! What was John Galliano thinking? Sweet bubblegum, in an uninspiring bottle. Huh? My mom loves it, on her I mean, so its presumably an Elizabeth Arden outtake. Not for guys, not for modern guys. Don't embarras yourself, like John did with this one.

;o))) Why men always get such ugly stuff ()? Look at toys for boys (it's always so hard to buy a present for a boy choosing between monsters and weaponry), and perfume design....

the bottle is cheap looking but the julce inside will make u think its quite interesting lighter smoother version of Armani diamonds
