John Richmond for Men

it's a fresh-spicy with soft notes of cedar and watermelon. j.r. for men it's a good safe "every" scent. i mean it's good for every situation, every season,every age, every outfit.. the versatility is the strongest value of this fragrance, which lacks in uniqueness. it's a people pleaser, so u cant go wrong with this. if u find for a low price buy it, it is not a masterpiece or an artistic work but it's one of the most versatile fragrances i ever had, so i gave a "love" only for this reason. the rock n roll theme is very forced. performance is good. niente di speciale ma un profumo adatto ad ogni situazione. scent:7 longevity:7,5 sillage:7,5 uniqueness:5,5 bottle:7 versatility:9 compliment factor- 8 my vote:7 in one word: versatility alternative- bleu the chanel edt

Very very very fresh and cool! I love it! I've got a sample of it and I wil buy the full bottle. It last for about 6-7 hours on my skin. It is really unique. Sillage is very good. Overall: 9/10 because of the longevity.

Typical classical fresh-citrusy-shower gel men fragrance, but more versitile and projects longer. Probably a safe blindbuy for most guys who wants something freshy.

It's a nice smell but I've been turned off it by the theme. As soon as the sales lady at Myer (Aussie department store) showed me this bottle I thought "yeah, I'm not that easy to sell to, love". The smell was exactly what I expected. I was already 99% adamant I would never pay for it just from the message given by the bottle "let me be your next number 1, corporate, manly aura of elegance and (ultimately) material possession". I don't buy it. Only decision to make, does it smell any good, since it's already been sprayed on my hand......"mmm yeah I s'pose it's ok" just to be polite. And it is OK but honestly, I visit that store nearly very afternoon, abusing any high-end department store's willigness to let me sample their products, and begrudgingly, yet peacefullyletter leave me to my own assistance ('cause they know there's no chance I'll buy anything full price from a department store) and THIS! THIS IS THE ONE you thought could get in my wallet, or were you trying to insult me? This is why she chose it: It opens with 2 notes of citrus and some musky spice, a bit harsh to begin. It calms into more gentle smells (amber, cedar, ginger, pepper), then ultimately keeps it's elegant manhood thereafter. With that particular pitch in mind, I have also been targeted with the likes of Champion, that new 50 cent one, Azzaro Chrome, Kenneth Cole Black and Ed Hardy's Love'n'Luck and the original EDT, you know the the one with the tiger. I'm not trying to say anything bad about this fragrance, it is a NICE smell, but the theme, with it's lil heart pendant ad 'rock and roll' attitude, makes me turn away, as it's not a high energy, rocknroll smell, it's just elegant. Knock the price down to about $30 for 50ml and I might grab it for work.

Opens with very spicy black pepper, some smooth melon, ginger and hints of florals and wood. Fresh, fruity and spicy from the start. The strong pepper aroma mellows on the drydown and blends with the ginger and melon and always seems to dominate the fragrance. It evolves into a spicier (pepper, ginger), woodier fragrance later in the drydown as the melon becomes almost nonexistant. I don't detect the amber much if at all. Sillage and projection is average, perehaps a few inches projection after wearing it for a few hours. Longevity is fair though I've only worn it for about 4 hours as of this review. Overall, it's a democratic and 'safe' fragrance. Quite average yet versitile, good for spring, summer or fall. Spice is a tad overdone, nothing to get excited about.

The initial impression was a boring one, but this fragrance has its qualities. It's not spectacular, but solid. As mentioned below, it suits autumn, and in particular the days of early autumn. Modern, fresh and spicey - it's a good companion for unspectacular days that are nevertheless experienced with style. ***

oh! i don't like this fragrance i expected a lot from it but it is disappointing for me.the smell is more like aromatic fougere/aromatic aquatic, not strictly a spicy fragrance. certainly not of my taste, though it is expensive but its smell is hollow and ordinary. bottle is ok. longevity and silage is average. i give it 5.8 out of 10.

Just another ordinary parfume. It helped me me understand though what others call Synthetic. This parfume could be good for teenagers of 2000-2010. But now they have grown up.

اشنا اما خوشبو و دوست داشتنی با این عطر لذت خوردن خربزه شیرین را در بینی استشمام کنید عطری خوب با بستری از بوی خربزه و که در کنارش کهربا گذاشته شده تا رایحه خربزه رسیده به خوبی استشمام شود رایحه کهربا در عین اینکه کمتر به ان رای داده اند اما قوی هست و با رایحه خربزه شانه به شانه حرکت میکند تا اینکه بعد از مدتی از بوی کهربا کاسته و تلخی عطر بالا می اید اما قوی نیست بوی فلفل سیاه و زنجبیل اشکارتر میشوند و حسی سبز اما کم استشمام میشود بویی از گل پرتقال استشمام نکردم و هل هم انچنان اشکار نیست یک انتخاب خوب و اشنا با کیفیتی نسبتا خوب برای بهار و تابستان و پاییز برای علاقه مندان به بوی خربزه ,اما کیفیت بوی خربزه در ان عالی نیست,راضی کننده است خوشبو و عام پسند و مخصوص جوانان اما برای خودم نمی پسندم رایحه : 2.5/5 ماندگاری : 3/5 پخش بو : 2.5 /5 ارزش خرید : 2/5

Just looking through old emails and realised I bought this in 2013 and used it, but I can't remember it. Don't know if that is a good or a bad thing but it is certainly not an offense scent. Looking at the notes it looks quite appealing. {Update} i recently purchased a small kit (5ml edt, balm and shower gel) to retry it and it is decent but as others here have stated is somewhat bland. Certainly a mild inoffensive scent but this is not in keeping with the Rock and Roll marketing image. A safe office cologne and I'd say best used in milder weather. On a side note, as a guitarist I attached the plectrum to my keychain and it actually came in handy a few times!

I received a sample vial along with my order from a website (just to clarify that I did not pay for this scent). My first thought: boring. Second thought: still boring and even a bit frustrating. Third thought: boring and annoying. It doesn't smell disgusting but doesn't have much taste either. Could be a gift for a teen boy from mum who has no idea. The synthetic smell and almost macho musk are big turnoff for me. I waited for a while wanting to see if any difference or development, but no. I sniffed Tabac Blond on my left wrist and thought: Ha! Should have known.

Fortunately, Its not really boredom for me to have JR.. Just to confirm I tested it twice for silage and longevity.. both are perfect in my case... it lasts for around 8-10 hours and projects so well. Furthermore, I am not able to resemble it to any other fragrance I have in my collection. However, if I tend to I can say its quite a fresher side of Encre Noir genre... But not exactly alike... Its spicy fresh... and if not for rock n roll still its truly an intimate fragrance.. Give it a try.. and yes its bit soapy, but I don't find it negative either.

Adding to my previous review: Not really Oriental Spicy in character, more like Aromatic Spicy or fresh spicy Aromatic Aquatic. You can easily pull this off on a warm weather day. Smells of melon, black pepper and orange blossom; as I've mentioned, somewhere around Hermes Un Jardin Apres Mousson and VCA Zanzibar (both Woody Spicy). For evening wear, I'd recommend the similarly peppery Ferre In the Mood for Love Man (2011, Oriental Spicy with lavender, orange blossom & coumarin). Used to cost under $30 for 100ml.

I got 100ml for a very good price, so can't complain.. If you pay more than 50 bucks for 50ml, I guess you might be disappointed as it's really nothing special but just a pleasant versatile fresh spicy cologne. It's in line with a few others in my wardrobe: Van Cleef & Arpels Zanzibar Baldessarini Del Mar (Richmond is fresher) Hermes Un Jardin Mousson

A typical woody fresh (melony, but in a good way) scent with tons of "dusty" spices (pepper?). John Richmond for men seems to be a mix of Lanvin L'Homme and DKNY Men 2009. The scent sits close to skin, has rather poor sillage but above average longevity. Suprisinigly good perfume, of higher quality than most of recent releases. 4 out of 5.

بالفعل رائع ويستحق الشراء. تحصلت عليه قبل سنتين . لكن للاسف لايوجد بقربي الان . يزداد جمالا عندما تضع على الجسم بضع قطرات من العنبر الاحمر . ثم تستخدم هذا العطر على الجسم . روعه . روعه .. شيء لا يصدق .. بالفعل رائحته طيبة جدا مع استخدام العنبر الصافي .... حتى لو كان منفردا أيضا رائع . أحبه كثيرا

why the hell, why? i was sooo looking forward to this, but it s a huuge dissapointment...absolutely bornig, unoriginal, average scent....i am so sad,,,this is just a piece of crap,,,,and oriental spicy??? no way - it s just another wannabe simple summer ugly scent,,,im not in,,, sorry J.R.

I do like This Fragrance! It is chic, rebellious and kinda Elegant! Most dominant notes are African Orange Flower, Ginger and Amber. I purchased It for a good price and I Can say that It is a Safe Blind- buy. :-) Rock n Roll Forever! lml

i finished the bottle. People didn’t notice at all when i sprayed less than 6 sprays. Smell is cool, well spicy. For me everything is just okay. Girl said it’s nice. let’s say 7.8/10
